Friendly staff, nice and cosy space.

Hidden gem! Lovely, private and friendly atmosphere. Staff here are attentive and it is our favourite place to come and grab some drinks. Very nice indoor and outdoor seating area. I would like to give a big shout out to Del who always makes us feel very welcomed and makes sure we always have a good time.

Friendly staff, retro ambiance, cold beer and excellent warm food. I mean, what else someone would need.

Had a table for six for lunch. The menu is already concise but because the chef 'wasn't around' they had a deputy, who unfortunately couldn't cook. Therefore, we were treated to an even more concise range of options. One starter. One main. Two burgers. That's it. And the service was slow, despite being basically empty. Honestly, McDonalds does a much better job. Don't visit.

When we came in, there were no other guests. The waitress asked us if we just wanted a drink first. We said we were hungry and sat down. We ordered two cocktails and before we could place our food order, she almost ran off with the menu. A little later she came back with another person who had to help her prepare the drinks. It was also the helper who then served us the glasses. Up until then and afterwards, we weren't asked if we wanted anything else to eat, although we had actually made this clear at the beginning. After about 5 minutes, the music was switched off and the two of us sat in a completely empty and now completely silent room. We emptied our glasses and asked for the bill. What a shame, the online presence looks great and we would have loved the menu. It was just the surroundings that were more than strange.

Nice bar for drinks in the early evening. Nice little bar down in the basement with air conditioning for those very hot days. Food is good, service is good and even when busy they seems to be keep the queue’s at bay unlike some of the other pubs around the area.

Such lovely staff, quick service and lovely drinks! Del and the two ladies at the bar are always pleasant and swift!

Remember this being the great witness box. Still serving up a great service. Only aside based on Xmas visit, turning a men's into unisex probably not the best of options, appreciate the need to accommodate an Xmas party but there's other ways

Good beer, friendly staff and superb food. The chips were of the chart (crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside). Plus side cooked by a fellow Scotsman. Will be back the next time I’m in town

Good place to call in for a meal after a long day, offering various deals on different days of the week at different times of the day. Tempting menu, typical pub choices. Worth a visit.

Had the most perfect christmas lunch with my company here. The decor was so homely and welcoming and the three course meal delicious. Favourite was the Fluffy Bandit cocktail, just devine! The staff were A1, attentive, polite and accommodating. We plan on going back :-)

A small but bustling venue in a traditional pub type setting. Very limited evening menu though - no mains - just burgers and small plates. <br /><br />However the food was good and hot and there were nice wines on offer. Food was priced well for london - 4 small plates £20 which was enough for 2 people.

Disappointing. Popped in for a famous lrish beer. The beer was tainted, told the bar staff, not interested. I thought they would have least changed the pump or switched it off. Had to do with a p load of lager.

I recently celebrated my 50th birthday party at Jamies and I couldn't have chosen a better venue! From the cosy yet sophisticated atmosphere of this stylish historical pub, to the excellent food and service of Jono and his team. A unique experience. It won't be the last event I organise at Jamies! Thank you for making the night so special!

The street level bar was booked for a private party so as a diner we went downstairs. We were not welcomed and no seating had been reserved so we sat next to the ladies toilet as it was the only place not full of drinkers. The food was average but not over priced. A pub with plenty going on and if we hadn't gone to the bar and stood in a bustling queue to order we would never have Got served. A disappointing element to our break in London but if they are milking it in from drinkers why go to the trouble of serving meals?

This used to the Witness Box, a pub frequented by us almost 30 years ago, and ideally located for a reunion. Outstandingly nice and welcoming staff, good facilities in a kind of alcove table near the bar, and a wide choice of food and drinks. One quibble: no cask ale, but not so crucial - they had good Amstel. Thought it would be a problem booking food in advance but all went well enough and it did enable the food to be served relatively quickly once we were all assembled. One or two were not overly impressed with the menu, for example a burger failed to please, but as an event it was the right choice of venue and frankly I would use it again. I did think it was a bit procey but Central London in prime lawyer territory is bound to be I guess. The service with a smile by the waiter Noel was really good and helpful.

I went here the other week for a reunion lunch which someone else had booked.I had pre ordered a burger., with a view to a dessert if I so wished later.My burger duly arrived,it was tasteless,dry not juicy.A slice of tomato,a bit of lettuce with French mustard which I dislike.I had asked for some English mustard which never arrived.I wasn,t asked how I wanted my burger cooked,I happen to like it a bit pink,not an option.The skin on fries were tepid! Burger King do a better burger at half the price and better fries.Bills do a better burger at around the same price.Cheapest red wine is a Chilean Merlot at £22,estimated mark up 300%.At the end you then get charged 12.5% service,a total con.This is basically a Pub which is what it previously was.I object very strongly to this automatic charging for service.This is not somewhere like Galvins where bread,butter,iced water is brought to your table and the service is smooth and unobtrusive.I had a burger with fries on a plate brought to my table.The waiter also poured a glass of wine.It probably said in small print somewhere that the service charge was optional,they shouldn,t even ask for it.How much would they get if they left it up to the customer to decide?? A burger should be a patty of minced beef,this looked like it had been bought in? I asked if there was any cheese to go with my remaining Red wine.NO.A bottle of Spitfire was £5-60,which I got from the bar myself,it saved the service.Our waiter was pleasant and tried hard. Whether or not Jamie Oliver has anything to do with this place I am unsure?

Probably ok for a drink, but food was simply awful. I was fooled as a tourist, I thought this had something to do with Jamie Oliver. My bad. But the menu advertised on the webpage didn&#039;t exist, so all I could eat was some frozen, awful small dishes accompanied with sauces probably from nearby Tesco. Bad taste, bad texture, bad quality. Avoid.

A cosy underground bar with a lively after-work vibe. Enjoyed a cold, fresh IPA here for under a fiver on a Friday night.

Have a friend who works nearby and we regularly meet here for drinks. Staff are very welcoming and it is such a cosy bar with cute decor. We usually go for happy hour with cheap prosecco and enjoy the small plates ( arancini is amazing)

Fantastic space to host a party of 25, very attentive staff and fairly decent food.

This is a hidden gem - it is cosy upstairs for an intimate drink and chat and downstairs has enough room for a groups a big bar and good music. The service is great and the bar staff are super friendly. I shared three small plates off the new menu and they were all delicious and really good value. Would highly recommend.

This is the go-to pub lunch destination when we have a larger crowd of people coming from the office. Jamies have been really good at accommodating large groups at short notice. The food is good enough and varied to cater for everyone's taste

Was going to jersey boys just across the road nice food not great but nice. Good service, food not that expensive, as always drinks bump up the bill. Yes we would visit again if we visited the theatre again.

Sehr netter kleiner Pub mit guter Speisekarte und sehr guten Burgern. Mittwochs ist Burger-Tag (50% Rabatt), da kann man sich gut durch verschiedene Burgervarianten durchfuttern. Die Preise sind aber auch sonst durchaus moderat für London. Empfehlenswert besonders zum Mittagessen.

Huge crowd upstairs Christmas dinner. Yes everyone had had a drink but it is Christmas - the girl was pleasant but the bloke was ever so slightly surly. Parsnips almost raw dinner mediocre. Nice wine bar downstairs but don't have your Christmas dinner here

We were in the area and just fancied a small lunch. We had a shating platter and it was OK - nice quality, if a little small. The staff were efficient and friendly. I guess I&#039;d visit again if I were in the area, but the menu is a little dull. Oh, and the wifi didn;t work, whcih was a rea shame for a business lunch - and it is in the basement. Still, they did apologise and hence we were warned. So, nothin special but perfectly OK

I mean it was ok, but the bar staff gave me as much attention as a white crayon and it wasnt so reasonably priced. Nice outside space for temple though.

Dropped by Jamie at lunch with a co-worker. They do 50% off burgers on Wednesday which was an added bonus. The service was fast and efficient , the assistant manager was very friendly and great when it came to customer service . I would pop by again .

Great food and staff, nice and relaxing

Whilst the beer is very nice and the wine too, it is ridiculously expensive. Why they have to be so expensive is beyond me.

Off the plane, checked into hotel, walking towards the Tower Bridge, I had one thing on my mind....FISH &amp; CHIPS! Saw this place was close on my google maps, so we popped in. There was a ton of seats, we just choose to sit upstairs (street view) by the window, you know to people watch. Fish, chips and mushy peas, it was amazing!

Sadly rather bad service, gross WC and the food was...well, fried. Not too high prices though. And the surroundings are nice!

Jamies is a classic after work/lunch time pub. The staff are really accommodating and bend over backwards to help you! Andrej is amazing! :) The happy hour cocktails and wine/beer deals are pretty special too for london bars!!!

Found this bar on a a day out in town. Wasn't too busy so comfortable should imagine it gets very busy. Wine a but pricey though

One of the nicer Jamie's I have been to with a traditional and opulent feel - lots of wood, grand inviting arm chairs and chandeliers. There's a relaxed bar area on street level and a slightly more formal dining area in the basement. There are also some outside tables for those occasional sunny days. The food errs more on the side of style over substance - the batter on the fish was slightly soggy and anaemic, the fish cakes could have done with a little more texture, they were a slightly "samey" mush - but it was timely, beautifully presented and served with a smile. A more sophisticated lunch option by comparison to the pubs in the Blackfriars area and a great place to relax and enjoy some afterwork drinks. I'll certainly be back.

Jamie's is part of a small chain of City of London boozers. Decent places usually tucked away off the beaten track. This one is on a quiet street just below Fleet Street. Set in a basement, entrance via 3 flights of stairs its a dark but cosy place. There are also some tables outside.

Having waited 45 minutes for our food to arrive, part of it was cold and had to be sent back and when the bill arrived, it included 12.5% service charge.When my brother informed the waitress that he would not be paying the service charge, she replied 'well it's not my fault' ..... brilliant customer service skills!!We paid the bill less the service charge and were then chased to the door being accused of having not paid at all, how embarrassing.Had it been just the service issue, I would not have bothered to leave this review but the treatment that followed was disgusting.

We just accidentally wandered in last night and we were nicely surprised. This cozy place well suited our mood and cravings and I will definitely comeback.

This is a great place to eat and hang out with friends after work. Went there last night, we had a great service with a smile!

Popped in here last evening and we were delighted with it. We were not their usual clientele age group being over 40:)) but we were made very welcome by the attentive staff. It felt like a friendly club and we loved the general ambience. We had simple food tastes last night and offerings on the menu suited us very well. The Route 66 burger was tasty and well presented, the small plate of chipolatas was also well presented with miniature salt, sauce and vinegar to match the sausage size...this made me smile and importantly it tasted good.I recommend this pub if you are in the area...it is obviously very popular with people from.the surrounding inns of court.Enjoyed being there.

We have just held our second Summer Party at Jamies and, as last year, the food was great and the service fantastic. We have already booked them for next year.

You just don't get any response when trying to book a table via website. It claims they will respond but do not. Wife's birthday spoilt.

My office had just moved to the area and so I thought I would try this local restaurant with colleagues and clients. I definitely would not return. The food was very poor quality - my sausages were undercooked and rubbery, other people&#039;s pasta had very little sauce and the fish and chips were tiny. We had to ask several times for sauces and parmesan and then when we had finished our meals the waitress sprayed down the table with disenfectant, splashing people&#039;s shirts and ties without apology. All round dreadful experience.

I've been here several times, mainly for lunch and the occasional evening.It's always a good place to be- it's really relaxed but you're completely looked after. The staff are polite and courteous.The food is really good too. the burger is fantastic!! I mainly eat the burger but on the occaasions when I try something else, it's always well presented and tasty. it's also good valueIn the evenings it can be anything from a blissful retreat for some quiet time, to a packed out boozer full of laughter and occasionally some dancing!

Best service, love the staff, everyone is really friendly, great food and drinks.....what else can I say, there is a reason why most of their customers are regulars!  10 stars for Jamies!

Jamies, is avery smart and sophisticated querky little place to go and chill, dine and hang with friends. outside area is very clean and the staff are amazing!!! The food is top notch and will definatly return. couldnt be happier - thanks for a great time &lt;3 xx
