Sadly, like all of Jamie's restaurants I have been to and indeed his family's pub in Essex. - it is pile them on in and get in the numbers. I took my mum and dad to 15 for a treat before it closed. We were all cramped in. I could have taken them to other Italian restaurants in london with more room - less price - and more thoughtful meals. Sorry to to say this as have all your books. We then went to cricketers in Essex and were again cramped and disappointed. Sorry but that's how it was.

I visited with my wife while on a weekend break. We only ended up here because everywhere else was packed full. Find took ages to arrive- when it finally did turn up it was stone cold! We sent it back and after another insanely long wait the second attempt arrived... My fries were soggy and the burger was greasy and chewy. It seemed as if they had re-heated the burger in a microwave because it was like rubber. The flavour of the burger was strange- it tasted as if someone had poured vinegar on it. My wife's food was inedible. We ended up leaving it and complaining. I refused to pay and we were offered a free desert, which was, it has to be said, a vast improvement over the main course, although it was ice cream so I'd have been astounded of they'd messed it up. We also got 2 lattes, which were also hopeless - mine was freezing cold and my wife's was only half full! I can't recommend this palce AT ALL. It's expensive, the food is (based on my experience) awful and the service is soooooo slllloooowwwwww it has to be experienced to be believed. If I hadn't experienced this farce 1st had, I'd have thought some exegeration was going on, but it really was that bad. Never ever again!

Het eten was echt niet lekker. Het was al bijna koud en heel taai. Wij hadden spagetti en gnocchi. Geen aanrader dus.

Waiting for my Daughter to finish work we decided to get a bite to eat and came across Jamie Oliver's ...well we had to pop in and try their fare. Was very pleasantly impressed with the menu and the speed at which we were served. My Wife had lamb and I had a burger. both were well served and very scrumptious. They had a type of bread that was absolutely fresh as and just melted in ones mouth. The burger was tasty and not over cooked. Just what the Dr ordered....my daughter joined us and they quickly prepared her meal so we could eat together. Will return.

We eat here as a group of 6 on a busy Saturday afternoon. Service was good and attentive however of the 6 of us 3 had problems with their meal. One the prawns were under done the sons had cold fries and the third had pasta so over done it was tough. Very disappointing

Have a drink ith some friends in a quiet anda cosy place! Assorted drinks acomplished with little bites on surprising snacks!

I have visited 3 of his restaurants and the food was awful, overcooked dry burgers and soft skinny fries. I would rather have a Mc Donald's Sausage and Egg Muffin, at least they know how to cook it. His restaurant business will go bust unless he realises how awful they have become.

Vi besøgte steder for at prøve lidt anderledes pizzaer end dem vi normalt smager. Så vi var lidt ude af vores comfort zone da vi skulle vælge. Men alt var utrolig lækkert og fin betjening.

A great meal with ok prices, pretty much the same prices as we have at home (Norway). A great place to eat before we went to a musical on west end.

This is one of those places where you are charged for the name Food is better at a Marks and spencer food shop !!! Greatly overpriced for bland food pre prepared enough said If you want to be ripped off for dining a lot better and cheaper in the area

We were looking for a restaurant prior to a West End how. Tried Jamie Oliver's in Covent Garden. Had the Bangers and mash. We both loved it and came back the next day with friends. They loved it as well. The cost is very reasonable for a London restaurant. They also supply blankets and seat/feet warmers -- nice touch for early March. Great service from the staff as well.

Covent Garden'da isminden dolayı sorgusuz gittiğimiz bir yer. Yemekler vasat, geliş sıranıza göre servis ve yemek alamıyorsunuz. Sizden sonra gelenler yemeklerini bitirmek üzereyken servis alırsanız şaşırmayın. Yemeklerimiz sonradan gelenler yemeğe başladıktan 15 dakika sonra geldi. Çok daha güzel alternatifler mevcut civarda. İsmine kapılıp çok beklentiye girmeyin.

Called in with friends for a pizza we ordered a selection and shared them between us. To be honest they were ok but nothing special. I wouldn't make a special trip to go here.The staff were all friendly and very professional.

We thought it was going to be a very good restaurant.There were lots of people and the meals looked very good before we tasted the food.The tables and the open bar looked very unhygienic and very dirty.Staff were very nice and welcoming.The food took a pretty long time.We ordered a garlic mushroom meal that was very bland and plain.It looked as if there was oil seeping through which was very unhealthy.Further on the plate was very dirty and had hair on it.Would definitely not recommend to anyone.....

Nous avons passé deux supers dîners lundi et mardi derniers, accueil très chaleureux, bonne ambiance, bonne cuisine et équipe dynamique! Ils nous ont même fêter nos 18ans! Encore un grand MERCI à "baby" et ses collègues!

Quiet Friday evening around 6.00 pm. Very poor quality food. Rump steak tough and inedible. Sausages over cooked. Service good.

Het is een beetje verstopt, dus niet boven bij Covent Garden, maar een ingang aan de andere kant. En dus ook veel minder drukje loopt naar beneden in de kelder, door een gangetje, waar de biervaten staan, langs de keuken en dan kom je in een heel gezellige pubachtig restaurant. Eten is van prima kwaliteit. Prima blue steak hadden ze daar. Bediening is vriendelijk

Leider schafft es kein Kellner mehr als zwei Teller bzw ein Tablett zu tragen - finde ich persönlich immer sehr unprofessionell!Die Speisekarte ist klein aber wirklich in Ordnung! Für jeden was dabei!Die Präsentation auf dem Teller war auch wirklich schön- leider etwas geschmacklos - hätte mir da etwas mehr erwartet

It is located in a very fancy place. All kind of people can join it. However tourists and mid level executives I would say that keep the store running. The food was really good. Oliver has given his touch. The prices were a bid high . Just to remind you that it is not an ordinary restaurant. I would recommend it for sure

Les plats sont très bons et suffisamment copieux, le cadre est très sympa. Prix correct. Par contre les animations de Covent Garden sont bruyantes et les lieux font que ça résonne, ça peut gêner.

The place is very nice! It is in the middle of the Covent Garden. There was an attraction going on. Singer playing good music. We had the steak. It was delicious with skiny fries and the home made ginger beer. The Service should be better.

Ordered two cocktails (covent garden & union mule cocktail) for £8 each which were served in cheap/standard glasses and were very mediocre. Very limited choice on the menu. Ordered crispy squid - the batter was poor and the squid was chewy. Also ordered garlic mushrooms in breadcrumbs which were very wet and tasteless. Snacks and drinks totalling £30. Atmosphere and service very dry. Would not recommend.

My friends and me have an amazing lunch. We did some Christmas shopping and we needed a nice and quick lunch. We didn't get any disappointment. The staff was very attentive especially our waitress Beatrix very kind and cheerful and she recommended the garlic mushroom which was so delicious. For the main we both choose the rump steak what was very tasty and perfect. Thanks very much guy's!

Vi åt en god och välkomponerad lunch nere i Jamie Olivers secret Basement-vinnare Bar. Rekommenderar att få ner i källaren istället för att sitta på den stora serveringen på i en av hallarna i Covent Garden. Kul upplevelse och helt ok mat.

Una buena oportunidad de probar la cocina de jamie a un precio razonable. Recomendable que os atienda Juan, camarero de jerez que nos ayudó en todo y fue muy amable.

Tive uma experiência bem ruim neste restaurante. Pedi duas pizzas e uma veio "sorteada" com um sachê de açúcar, por baixo da pizza. Simplesmente colocaram a massa em cima do saquinho, levaram ao forno e serviram com essa agradável surpresa. Não fui cobrado por essa pizza, mas tive um pedido de desculpas pouco enfático como se o problema não fosse lá "grandes coisas".Além disso, o estilo de pizza deles não faz muito o estilo brasileiro. Caia fora dessa!

I am a great fan of Jaime Oliver and went with great expectations to this restaurant but can't remember much of my meal... the food had a nice homely feeling to it but Was not very excited with it. The servings were huge and filling.

Para los que les gusten experimentar con nuevos sabores y nuevas formas formas de cocinar algo tan sencillo como el,pollo está bien. El precio es bastante razonable teniendo en cuenta donde es y de quién se trata pues eramos 4 personas con nuestros 4 platos principales, bebidas y postre y nos cobraron 75£.Es de agradecer la atención que nos dispensó Quique, el camarero, que nos explicó muchísimas cosas sobre Londres y en todo momento estuvo pendiente de nosotras.Por último, cuando pidáis preguntad si la comida pica o no xq os podéis llevar una desagradable sorpresa como mi compañera de viaje, incapaz de acabarse una pizza por la cantidad de picante que llevaba. Entre todas intentamos echarle una mano pero era tal el picor que hasta nos lagrimeaban los ojos.Por lo demás la comida estaba bastante bien.

We stumbled upon the secret basement and decided to pop in as it was a bit noisy and busy outside. We requested to sit in a booth (there was nobody else in the basement apart from staff) but were told these were only for managers. Cocktails were nice, salad was lovely. Staff were ok but some were more interested in each other than customers. The whole place is a bit dingy but it is a basement, and looks like it could do with a good tidy up. The toilets were appalling, no loo roll, and messy which is not acceptable when staff are standing around chatting. I think Jamie needs to pay a surprise visit.

We weren't looking for a Jamie Oliver restaurant, we just kind of stumbled upon this while in Covent Garden and thought we would try it. We sat in the Union Jack restaurant part (not the "secret bar"). The location is nice as it's out in the middle of the atrium. We each ordered a pumpkin soup and a pizza to share. The pumpkin soup was extremely bland and had raw pumpkin seeds floating around in it which you could not chew through, so constantly had to spit them out. (If they were toasted, we could have eaten them.) The pizza was extremely rich with a bechemel-type sauce, mushrooms and pickled onions. It was enjoyable enough.The order of dishes coming out of the kitchen seemed odd. People who had sat down after us were getting their full meals before we got our soup. We waited nearly 30 minutes after finishing our soup for our pizza. And when we asked our server she did not seem happy with us that we were bothering her. Overall, if you are in a pinch and starving, try it out. Otherwise I would skip this place.

Went here before a gig for my 21st birthday. Amazing pizza and excellent service. Looked being able to see the food being cooked too :) lovely atmosphere, well worth a visit.

Prices on the menu were reasonable although menu pretty small, Pizza and about 5 mains. Ordered chicken which arrived before our drinks, in probably less than 5 minutes. Food was ok, was tiny whole chicken, with less meat than a normal sized chicken breast but tasted ok. Its a place for a quick bite not a leisurely meal as they obviously pre cook and looking for quick turnover, we could have been in and out in under 20 minutes which is not what I want when going for a meal. I wouldn't eat here again

Really enjoyed this place. Quick efficient service, very very good food (try the pizza! great appetizers too!) and a big city sophisticated vibe. Noisy as they come, but a really enjoyable experience all the same. I'd go back again - liked it that much. A long queue made me shy away initially, but it was so worth the wait.

Está en el mercado de convent guarden, por lo que hay ruido a mansalva. Los camareros son lentisimos y no saben que ingredientes lllevan los platos de la carta. La ensalada parece sacada del tiesto de fuera y el plato principal.... después tienes que completarlo con un buen postre para llenarte. No adaptan menús a niños

First time ever in a Jamie Oliver Restaurant and I was not disappointed!I had met with a large group of friends in Covent Garden, and we decided to eat here for lunch.The staff were lovely, friendly and welcoming, and they made sure that the one member of our group who was in a wheel chair was able to have full access to the restaurant.The restaurant was busy, but the staff were on their toes and we did not have to wait long for our meals.There was one slip up when an order was taken down incorrectly and the wrong meal was brought out. However, it was rectified very quickly.Delighted with Jamie's at Covent Garden! Would go back definitely!

Cominciamo dalla location, nel cuore di covent garden e già questo particolare da un punto in più al locale! Servizio molto veloce e camerieri super friendly. Veniamo al cibo, senza infamia e senza lode, tutto discretamente mangiabile e si capisce che ogni piatto vuole essere un po' ricercato, ( se ci riesca nel modo giusto ho qualche dubbio ) prezzi accessibili ... Insomma volendo essere sintetico ve lo consiglio... Da provare.

The food had nothing special. I tried the chicken and the taste of curiander leaves was dominant (I hate curiander leaves). My wife tried the salmon and couldn't feel the taste. The pizza on the table on the side looked better. Place was noisy and messy. There wasn't a sink to wash the hands. Not worth it!

After discovering this little restaurant we were really looking forward to dining here as we frequently dine at his restaurants around the country the ambience was lovely and romantic the staff were polite respectful and very helpful not all of what we ordered was disappointing the pate starter was lovely but the crab starter was lacking crab and flavour The chicken for the main course was overcooked and very dry The other main was the rump steak and peppercorn sauce which was very nice not the best steak I've had but was cooked how I asked for it overall I'm hoping the cook was having an off day

Beautiful place awesome atmosphere very attentive fun friendly waiter Mikey. He was great the food was amazing. My hubby never been so excited about a meal before. The gammon was perfection. I had lamb which was the best I've ever had. Top marks to all concerned!! Good luck to Mikey in his new ventures next year too!!

We were looking for somewhere to eat but were not looking for a specific place, we didn't like the look of the last place we had been to in covent garden, and we were just admiring the lights in the floor which were coming from a basement and wondered what the place was and found it to be one of Jamies restaurants (we have never been to one of his before) so we thought lets have a sneaky peak and giggle at the quirky food with expensive prices, well, we had a sneaky peak but the giggle was more of a inquisitive smile followed by a what the hell, lets order. The food was jaw droppingly good and the prices were not that scary. To cut a long story short, great food, reasonable prices. ; )

Good location in Covent Garden. We ate in the market rather than downstairs, I can't quite work out the downstairs bit, I did go downstairs to use the toilets and it was so dark and unappealing the idea of eating down there would not be for me. Anyway, we were served promptly, a small queue but it moved quite quickly. The tables are very close together, think Paris, the downside of this is being enclosed, it is very noisy, so conversation is limited unless you're keen on shouting. The food is 'comfort' but all sourced in the UK. I had the salmon which was well cooked and presented, nothing very special. My companion had the sirloin, not so tender. A good choice of delicious English wines and good coffee too. A great place to people watch.

Went in this restaurant by chance as we were shopping at Covent Garden. We were not in the basement but at groundfloor level with nice setting. Our waiter was friendly and professional and rhe food quite good. Prices were not cheap, something to be expected at such a place though. A very good overall experience.

Service was poor (our waiter was far more interested in checking out the guests at other tables, than checking in with us with food or drink requests.) Food portions are very small! I'm not a big eater, but when the menu says "half of a grilled chicken," I'm expecting half of the rotisserie chicken you can purchase at your local grocery store. However, what was served was no larger than half of a British game hen. #Tabestravels TOP TIP: Don't go hungry or be prepared to order 2 entrees...better yet, don't go at all.

Não valeu nem um centavo gasto! Pedimos o frango que veio cru, não fomos bem atendidos e pedimos uma carne que não dava nem pra forrar o estômago! Tem muitos restaurantes mais baratos e melhores bem pertinho! Pagamos pra conferir o que já nos tinham avisado!

I've been eating in another Jamie's restaurant, and this one was not one of the best, but still delicious.Salmon was great, and chocolate desert even better.I missed some Menu in other languages but English; in such a touristy place, should be the right thing; some of the dishes were quite complicated to translate to my mother language.It was too hot at the restaurant... sunny day + Covent Garden roof was not helping :-)Trip Advisor in Catalan , please!

Local super bacana, dentro do Covent Garden Market. O atendimento muito bom e a comida ótima. Longe do Brasil queríamos uma opção mais natural porém gostosa e encontramos lá. Até o final da viagem voltaremos lá.

Covent Garden, Apple Markt ist mit Sicherheit ein Touristen "must". Deswegen sind auch viele dort... Wir sind auf ein Mittagessen hier vorbei gekommen. Das Essen war ganz in Ordnung, aber nicht so, wie wir das von Jamies Restaurants gewohnt waren. Es dauerte sehr lange bis wir die Bestellung bekamen und mein Lamm war schon etwas kalt... Der Name ist nicht alles...

Very disappointed with this place. What I paid for, I really don't know. To add a service charge when we had very little was an insult. Food wasn't much to write home about, staff couldn't speak English very well. would I waste my money and go again........no?

코벤트 가든 안에 잇는 레스토랑으로 적당한 가격에 나쁘지 않은곳!양고기 스테이크와 피자를 시켰는데 양고기보다는 피자가 더 맛있었다. 주문하는데 점심시간이라 그런지 시간이 좀 걸렸고 꽤나 많이 기다렸다.

I have visited Jamie's restaurant a few times in Bath and have always been impressed. When visiting Covent Garden I saw Jamie Oliver's restaurant and thought it would be on par with the one in Bath. Bubble and squeak with sausages and link. Gravy not good. The onion. Gravy was lots of fried onions. We had bread to start with, on a plate a few slices of bread and a couple of crackers and a dollop of margarine. I asked for some Oliver oil to dip and was given a little bowl. The steak meal my friend had was also disappointing. However the pizzas looked amazing and have to say I had food envy. Think the staff in convent garden should visit the one in Bath.

Went their thanks to our wives fancy for master chef and Jamie Oliver. I bet if he participated as a contestant, based on this restaurant he won't even qualify. Bad staff, could not understand English, had such heavy accent that I found it hard to understand her, did not know what they are serving and had to go back to bar to know her drinks, took 15 mins to come back. So started off with bad exp on staff which recovered a bit when the male (manager I think) stepped in to help us. Then came the worst part ... Asked for food and every single thing was bad ... Stale mutton and burnt ... It was actually left overs reheated - so bad that it was like charcoal in some pieces others were like thick rubber - called the manager and he didn't apologise ... Just said oh I will replace it. Asked for my pizza to be spicy and it was bland ... Then asked for chilli Freak pizza, I can handle some spice but this was BAD ... It was so spicy that my lips were burning with just one bite ... It was only chill flakes. They called it PROPER sticky toffee pudding but that wasn't sticky at all. Overall v bad experience and exp meal ... Would never go back and highly recommend others to not go.

Delicious food and excellent service. Our waiter Quique was really kind giving us advice not only on which dishes to try at the restaurant but also recommending us places to see around the city. We highly recommend this place!!!

Ordered Lamb shank which was lovely but everything else on plate cold. Ordered potatoes as well didn't get them till late, waiters kept bring chips. Eventually got potatoes when finishing the meal and they were not nice. Then had two glasses of water which we hadn't asked for and the glass felt warm. Very disappointed as on a trip out. Won't go there again.

When we sow Jamie Olivier written on the sign, we hat to trie it...The esplanade seemed amazing on the Convent garden Market!But.. We were seated on a table just beside the zone where the dirty dishes are put away. It is an impossible zone to be set and enjoy the meal (Lunch with our 2 kids) with all that dish noise. Still tried to ask for another table, but with no luck...Curious was that on the side of this waist area the was a black board inviting clients to comment on their experience!Mentioned that to the responsible, but he didn't care. We simply left!I don't think that 3 tables less, on this area, would make that difference to the daily earnings, and would avoid these situations...

We were pleasantly suppressed when we stumbled across this restaurant while walking around Covent Garden. We had not made a booking but they found us a table no problem. The seats were heated which was a treat. Food was tasty and at a reasonable price.

I went here for late afternoon coffee in a not so busy hour. We were given a table right across from the work area when half the place was empty. A sign of very poor customer focus I ordered a coffee that came without a table spoons and no sugar sachets While they got the sugar it took ten minutes for them to get me a spoon by which time my coffee was cold. They didn't offer to replace my coffee. A place that can't serve a decent coffee surely can't be trusted with a decent meal.

Fui com minha esposa e pedi um bife de cordeiro. O garçom trouxe o meu prato e não trouxe a batata de acompanhamento. Minha esposa terminou de comer e eu lá esperando a batata. A comida estava boa, mas teve esse contratempo.

Oh dear me!!!!! One word gutted! So looking forward to having lunch at jamies on our recent London trip our pizzas were tasteless and burnt overpriced, then to top it off a £14 service charge slapped on for table ov 6!!! Come on jamie wot the hells going on??? Neva return

Quando entramos pouco depois das 21h00 no mercado de Convent Garden e damos de cara com este restaurante do Jamie Oliver, a expectativa de um bom jantar elevou-se. Grande desilusão: não havia pão; depois do pedido feito fomos informados mais tarde de já não haver carne para os bifes! Resignados, optamos por Lamb Rump: gostei. Com duas cervejas Lager e sem sobremesas pagamos um pouco mais de 40£.Saímos muito desiludidos.

Londres no es muy amigable cuando te sentas a comer en algun lado. Este lugar tiene menues accesibles para comer, siendo muy sabrosos

Rien à dire sur la cuisine qui a du goût et est différente sans trop dérouter.Notamment les légumes accompagnent très bien les plats.Place un peu bruyante mais normal on est dans Covent Garden on me s'attend pas à du velours...Service par contre moyen: souriant mais peu avenant. Nous avons par exemple dû attendre la fin de la pause cigarette de notre serveuse pour être débarrassé: un autre serveur ne pouvait pas prendre le relais? Pour cela je ne mets que 4 étoiles.

Hi, I adore Jamie Olivers restaurants and recipes and needless to say I am a big fan. Me and my husband were surprised to find this bar and headed down the basement to get some drinks. However, I could not stay long because of a very strong foul smell, possibly mold? This was such a shame because the bar seemed to be great and the drinks were perfect. Perhaps something the owners should look into?

Pour s'isoler du bruit de l'étage supérieur où on sert les même plats, nous avons demandé à diner dans le secret basement bar.On a juste l'impression d'être dans une cave de stockage de fut de bière, plonge du restau avec une odeur pas très agréable, et toute la déco qui a déjà bien vécu.Le plat "souris d'agneau avec des légumes de saison" était copieux, pas mauvais, mais pas à la hauteur de ce qu'on attend quand le nom de Jamie est placardé partout.Le vin hors de prix et plutôt moyen.Par contre, notre serveur était vraiment super gentil et patient.En bref, vous mangerez mieux dans n'importe quel pub... Et pour moins cher !

Ottimo ristorante sia per piatti di ispirazione inglese come l'anatra, sia per i piatti vegetariani sia per la pizza...direi una delle migliori mangiate all'estero.Ha però un paio di problemi...c'è sempre un sacco di gente e quindi trovare posto è un problema...e fa un po freddino visto che è aperto...però davvero consigliato.

Same food as upstairs at Union Jack's in Covent Garden but way more quiet and in an original setting. Good pollock and British hot pizza for a reasonable price for London/Jamie. Nice service.

Comida con mucho sabor pero al mismo tiempo sencilla y ligera, definitivamente recomendable a un precio accesible en Londres, el lugar en el mercado de Convent Garden es muy bueno también.

Achamos sem querer o restaurante do Jamie Oliver em Covent Garden. Porém quando chegamos o restaurante que fica a vista já estava com fila de espera, perguntei para o funcionário qual o tempo médio de espera e como eramos apenas em duas pessoas ele me indicou o porão secreto. O lugar é incrível é como se fosse uma taberna antiga, tinham muitos barris e diversos quadros diferentes, ganhamos atendimento personalizado de um inglês que morou anos no Brasil. Valeu muito a pena. Se puderem aproveitar esse lugar secreto a invés do restaurante tradicional eu recomendo. A comida dispensa comentários é maravilhosa e não deixe de provar a cerveja orgânica é muito saborosa. Mas lembre se você vai desembolsar um bom dinheiro.

Located in the lovely covent garden, simple but fresh and tasty dishes. Had a great pizza, some vegetables roasted and fresh. Good beer, good atmosphere.

We were walking around Covent Garden and didn't want food but a drink and a sit down. We saw a sign for the basement bar and decided to go in. It really is a basement bar,decor is very industrial and under brick alcoves. Its small downstairs and hot but comfortable and the staff are very attentive.As you'd expect from Jamie Oliver its cosy,but menu is limited but British and promotes items like potato vodka! We stayed for a few cocktails,all made to high spec and really tasty! Nice touch is the toilets, all Crapper items with some vintage flushing action! Worth a visit.

Local interessante no centro do Convent Garden. Pratos descolados e atendimento atencioso (marca registrada de qualquer Jamie Oliver que já fui). Particularmente sugerido para almoço, com a iluminação natural do local.

I have been twice recently, just for teas and coffees and love the fact that I have not been treated any differently than if I were eating and spending more. The staff are ver yattentive and there is a great atmosphere. My 'tea room' of choice in Covent Garden!

A great find hidden away under the main restaurant. The food was only average sadly and not particularly warm and the wait was awful (45 mins when they were not busy) and it was rather expensive for average quality food. The slow service probably led to food arriving luke warm.Staff were engaging and good humoured but not the most experienced and drinks arrived spilled, and no offer to replace them.Has potential, but needs polish, mainly around service.

Restaurant is underneath the main restaurant in the main building. You have to walk into the basement and then walk past the bathrooms. Never a lineup. Great food. Comes quickly,fun hidden spot. Never disappoints!!

A busy bar where the staff still find the time to go the extra mile. Good range of drinks, lovely atmosphere.

Went to try the main restaurant on the ground level at Covent Gardens but saw a long line to get a table and was about to leave when I saw the door leading to the Secret Basement and decided to give it a try; glad I did. Just a handful of people were down there, no line! The food was the same as upstairs which was good. The Fish Fingers app was crispy ad hot with a very flavorful sauce. The Bone In Ribeye was not steakhouse standard ( read that as being thin) but was still tasty and cooked as I asked. The mustard coleslaw hit the spot and the sautéed broccoli had garlic to spare. The drinks took away from the experience a little; it took two tries to get a dirty Martini and it was not shaken or stirred, to much vermouth. The service wa a little slow but the staff was very friendly. They even had decent WiFi (caught up on work e mails between courses). The decor was early English dungeon built was tastefully lit. All in all a good place to beat the crowd upstairs and have a good meal

Found this lovely restaurant in Covent Garden thought it looked very nice and quirky, sat inside downstairs staff were fairly friendly even though I don't think they really like kids down there as kept asking us to move our buggys and the kids seemed to be in there way even though the place was empty. There was three adults four kids and we all ordered a few pizza and chips and one chicken dish, after waiting what seemed like ages the food turned up, looked good but everything was cold!not what I expect from somewhere with a name attached to it.the chicken dish was warm and edible but the rest went straight back and ended up waiting around again for some warm food next after airing my disappointment they did knock some off the bill but to me not the point next time I'll opt for pizza hut least it's piping hot food there

Somos fãs do Jamie Oliver e em visita ao Convent Garden pensamos em almoçar em seu restaurante, Union Jack. Foi quando vimos uma placa com uma entrada discreta com os dizeres: "Jamie Oliver's Secret Basement Bar": resolvemos conferir. O lugar é um porão com aspecto de pub, paredes de pedra, um clima meio "medieval" - super original! Os atendentes são simpáticos e o cardápio é bem interessante! Até os banheiros são estilosos, cada um com uma decoração diferente, meio vintage... adorei! A comida é muito boa, o clima super agradável e divertido - tinha um casal numa mesa ao lado, que uma mesa com um jogo eletrônico... fiquei rindo ao vê-los se divertirem jogando com suas taças de vinho ao lado.Certamente voltaria e indico pra quem deseja comer bem, curtir um lugar diferente e conhecer um dos estabelecimentos do chef-pop queridinho do país!

Went last night as part of a group of 11... and heard mixed responses.Friendly staff, but also remarks of not really fresh bread, and some dry (overcooked) burgers.My garlic mushroom starter tasted lovely, my burger & chips OK but indeed slightly dry and not very special.Heard from next to me that the paté-starter was delicious, pizzas looked and smelled great too.All in all a nice environment, and not expensive at all, so I'd go again.

Busy summer day in Covent Garden but didn't need to queue. Quickly seated but service was a little slow to begin with. Bit rustic in layout but food hot and tasty. My nephew was given the wrong meal but didn't tell until he'd eaten it, when mentioned to the waitress she was most apologetic and deducted it from the bill without me even having to ask.

Mitten drin im Covent Garden und doch geschützt sitzt man (auf einer Bank mit Sitzheizung) mitten im Trubel der Halle. Wir waren mit den Speisen (Burger, Fish&Chips, Pizza) geschmacklich sehr zufrieden. Auch das Personal war überaus freundlich und auf Zack - einzig die Preise fanden wir (selbst für London)zu teuer.

Interesting dishes all sort of European but with a British twist. Service was great, seating somewhat rustic but we enjoyed the evening immensely.
