The food was amazing, everything I ate tasted great and was clearly made with care. The portion sizes were perfect and everything just tasted so good. The service from the restaurant was fantastic. Would highly recommend eating here if you have the chance. I will definitely be eating here again

We’ve been meaning to try JW Diner for the last couple years and finally ordered for the first time tonight- don’t wait as long as we did to try it!! The food was absolutely incredible, even more so for the price, and the whole experience was topped off with the kindest service too- we’ve already planned to order again next week! Thank you to the lovely staff, I can’t recommend this place enough!

This place’s food is as good as home cooking is. My wife and I dropped by High Wycombe to shop and I was looking at a decent place to eat. I chanced upon this restaurant and saw that it had glowing reviews so we decided to check this place out. The restaurant is just off the high street but not difficult to see. On entering, the whole place smelled good. And I also knew that it was going to be good and authentic because I could see that everyone in the kitchen was Jamaican! They have a huge offering of Jamaican food. We ordered the Junior Smoke feast good for two people. It came with jerk chicken, wings, pork ribs, coleslaw, and 2 sides (we chose rice and peas, and fried dumplings). All that for £25 only! It could easily have fed three people and it is great value for money. All deliciously cooked homecooked meals for great prices. The photos I took don’t do justice to the food as I only realised mid-meal that I didn’t take photos! If any, my only complaint is that the restaurant is small and can only seat four people. I guess this is more of a takeaway place. But that takes nothing away from the experience of eating here. If I had an excuse to go to High Wycombe, it would only be to go back and visit this restaurant. Definitely a must visit place if you appreciate, or want to experience, authentic Jamaican homecooking.

Having just moved to the area was glad to find a Caribbean take away! Im glad it was a good one really enjoyed the food it was lovely! great portion sizes. I had the curry goat rice & peas mac n cheese and dumpling all 10/10 Also to mention great service and really friendly! Will be back to try some of the other menu out!

This place is so good! I ate here with a friend, we were able to eat in and enjoy the cozy atmosphere, the amazing kindness and service from the bubbly lady working there and of course the food was true soul food, getting even better with every bite. I'll be back and everyone should try this : ) there's a great menu with meals and drinks and snacks and everything you need. Thank you again!

Felt really welcomed when me and my friend first walked in, brilliant customer service and top tier food and drinks. The cashier lady was really nice to talk to and we all had a laugh.

Browsing Google to find the best Caribbean restaurant in the area, and James William Diners did not disappoint! I had patties and jerk chicken with rice and peas, all were delicious! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. All of this at a very reasonable price – excellent value for money! Highly recommend!

I love coming to this place for the food. The owner is friendly and the service is on point. The jerk chicken was lovely and on the palatable side. The fried dumplings were perfectly made. The sweet chili sauce is sweet and tasty. This however is my only area of improvement: The jerk pork was really hot compared to the chicken and the meat was quite tough. That being said I would definitely recommend this Caribbean restaurant and will always return.

Every single time I've been to James William Diners the service has been excellent! The food is to die for! It's like a sweet Carribean sensation on your taste buds. Food itself is tasty however, we didn't get what we ordered. the description online did not match what we received. More bones than actually meat. We got 3 tiny pieces of oxtail for £12. Very stingy on the meat which is a shame.

Fantastic food, second time trying today and was as good as the first visit two weeks ago. Regret driving past this place daily for the last two years and not giving it ago. Well. The food is sweeeeeet. No joke

Caribbean restaurants have a reputation but this establishment sets the standard of what our food should be and how it should be served. The shelves are full with fresh looking food with home-made cakes to tempt you, the necessary information on small chalk boards (reminding you that the food was made recently and suggesting that on another day it could be a different cake?!!). I was greeted in a warm and welcoming manner, allowed spaceto think and choose, and the fact that I changed my mind was no problem; in fact I was invited to come back and try what I missed on another day. The kitchen is visible as is Chef, reassuring me that her food was being prepared honestly. The menu is refreshingly uncomplicated, clear and everything was in stock. The star of the show is the smoked menu-you can smell its aroma as you walk in and the quality meat has that BBQ jerk flavour I only ever tasted in Jamaica. The gospel music was at a level to be a comforting reminder of how we do things in food shops (and the barbers!) and the decor is classy with Caribbean references in the colours and materials in a slick contemporary way. The food was just right. The Jerk Pork portion was generous with no fat , the rice cooked perfectly and the sauce was just the right amount. I feel the price reflected the portion and quality spot-on. I was asked to give a review which I never like doing however the relaxed way I was approached led to me not only to writing this but rushing back to recommend the restaurant to my colleagues with a menu; again something I would never normally do. All in all, an extremely pleasant experience with a confident, un-intimidating professionalism which left me brimming with pride and one FULL belly! I wish you all the best for the future and thank you. P.S., I would have added photos but nothing is left!!

First food spot we tried in Hugh Wycombe, firstly want to say how lovely the lady that served us was! The food on the other hand was unrealll, best fried chicken ever and the patties are incredible. Also they make the punches them selves, would highly recommend trying!!

Popped in after some shopping to find they do lots of vegan options. Cakes, pastries and curries. Cynthia was genuine and very very friendly with lots of recommendations. 5 star deserved before I even tried the food. Venue was clean and had a had a good atmosphere. Andrew’s cooking is fantastic, can’t wait to come back. I’d never order online because these big companies take 30% cut of all orders. Small businesses like this are a true gem.

Would have preferred food to be in a plastic container rather than a box especially with gravy involved which left the box very soggy. The food was ok. Stewed chicken was very boney and fried chicken lacked flavour.

Great food, tried multiple dishes and the advice from the staff was perfect for meal combos. We ordered and then took the food home, just under 20 mins to get everything ready so we were happy. Definitely will be back, great atmosphere and the food felt abd tasted like it was home cooked, we loved it.

Wife and I had a curried goat, smoked jerk chicken and a side of jerk chicken legs. The rice was beautiful, the pineapple punch was very refreshing and the chicken was crisp. Would 100 per cent be returning.
