The food was different gravy. 🤤🤤 the staff were very pleasant as well. I'll definitely be going back when I next visit.

A nice restaurant to try Jamaican food. It provides breakfast options that have around 10 kinds of dishes to choose such as fried chicken, BBQ chicken, mashed potato, beans, dumplings, and stew cabbages. Customers can pick 4 of them for 6.5 pounds. Besides, there are plates and sweet desserts.

Useless, just like alot of Jamaican/Caribean takeaways, always shut or hasn't got most of the stuff on the menu. Came here on a weekday, was told they only do Oxtails on a Sunday, came on Sunday. . . . CLOSED !!

Been there twice now as I'm working in the Nottingham area. The food is amazing and the service is great. Looking forward to trying some different things on the menu when I next go.

Popped into this restaurant in Radford yesterday on Jamaican Independence Day for a takeaway… TBH I literally could eat anything from here, but asked them to give me whichever chicken curry was the nicest… ( it created a dilemma for the staff member because he knew everything was nice) He decided to give me half and half ( 2 types of chicken curry ) and a rice with shaved peppers, onions and carrots in…. Times are changing in Caribbean restaurants… Long gone are the hard faced people with attitude and in comes, the nice mannered and polite, staff members with good people skills, recognising that good customer services are equally as important as the food they serve and I think JWays were among the 1st in Nottm to recognise this.. With all due respect to other Caribbean food shops in the city, this food shop clearly leads the way… The food was gorgeous… 🤷🏽‍♂️ Service delivery was a bit ‘Slow’ but it was in all fairness, well worth the wait… It’s very difficult for me to recommend anywhere else for Jamaican Food….

We ordered from here yesterday and ordered around 4 dishes plus rice and salad. I can honestly say not only is this the worst Jamaican food I’ve ever had, it’s also the worst food I’ve ever had from a take away / restaurant. There was 3 of us eating it and all of us had to throw it away. The steam fish tasted like tomato sauce, the curry chicken tasted like curry powder and the cabbage was mush. The best thing about it was the plain salad. We wasted almost £40 on this ‘meal’ that wasn’t even edible. I would not to waste your money on this place

Love the food here!!! We placed a large order for collection and when we picked it up we were met with really friendly service. The lady gave us some complimentary veggie curry with yam to try which was delicious. We had curry mutton, oxtail ,brown chicken stew, sweetcorn fritters and rice. Everything was so beautifully cooked with amazing flavours. 100% recommend this place. You wont be dissapointed!!!

Wow..... I have been eating Jamacian food for 30 years and for me this place is the best. If you want proper fresh food cooked by people with serious experience then get yourself to Hartley Road. I have been in the shop a couple of times and the ladies there are so talkative and attentive, you can tell they are happy and proud to serve up the good food 👌 I also met the delivery driver a few times, him rapid when I asked for delivery and you can tell him happy to work for the shop as he must know himself good food a gwarn, him cute too ❤ Serious people as I'm eating my good food me a say yes man good food dat. Where do I start. The service is excellent, arguably one of the best west Indian restaurant/ takeaway establishment ive had the pleasure of eating in. Lots of different foods. 5 stars

Gave this place a try as its Sunday and not many other places open. Not sure if i went on a bad day but the food i received was very disappointing for the price. Ordered a "jerk chicken on the bone with rice" meal and another portion of "boneless jerk chicken". £16.55 in total collected from in store. Ordered via just eat and selected to collect in 1 hours time from placing the order and instantly got a text back that my food was ready to collect so it was clear that my food had been cooked long ago and was just laying about kept warm under hot plates or microwaved, tasted ok but small portion sizes too, won't be returning....

Good they open on a Sunday whereas most Caribbean restaurants are closed nearby. Bit more expensive and food didn't taste as good as my favourite Hot & Spicy. The salad was frozen which was a first experience for me! Staff were friendly. Nice and clean.

Not impressed this time around .My family came to visit ordered Mutton and Jerk Chicken.Mutton was delicious but the Jerk Chicken was awful ,It looked like sauce was just poured on it .The presentation was just awful .It wasn't eaten to say the least ,waitress seemed defensive that it wouldn't be paid for in the end my Husband paid for it but without good cause .Service needs to improve please .

Came from Mansfield just for this, was tasty an all that but felt kinda like I shouldn't be in there because I'm white. The food really good, the staff could smile a bit more. Then again a few black folk walked in and they seemed to get good services. Still though very tasty food.

The best Jamaican restaurant in Nottingham

It was my first time to try Carabian food and asked for jerk chicken. The lady got a piece of chicken as cold as ice into a box and asked me if I want it to get microwaved!!! Then got me cold rice with beans and I payed £8.70 for cold fridge food! I got home and microwave the food myself and didn’t taste nice and got sick! The only reason I paid that money was to help their business! But £8.70 is the price of warm fresh food not the cold fridges one! I could buy the fresh anc warm whole chicken from Asda with that price. I’m totally disappointed and not going there again!

Fui a almorzar el domingo. La mejor comida jamaicana que he comido, el cordero de curry era fantástico. Es más una cafetería que un restaurante, pero 3 de nosotros comimos por solo 25 (y estábamos muy llenos). El personal era muy amable y servicial re elección de platos. Es una pena que se cierre a las 6 pm, así que no puedo hacer una cena. En general, altamente recomendado, hay una razón por la que tiene una buena reputación por la mejor comida jamaicana en la ciudad. Volveré.
