Great location with the best Tiramasu in the land maybe the world. We walk past with the dog and stop for a brew and a cake every time. Staff are great, pricey but it is Chelsea

Outstanding service! Don’t miss it. I arrived late with my 2 children for dinner - at 22:30 - and the kitchen was closed. James (Gëzim) was so kind that he accepted us for dinner despite everything being closed and the room cleaned. James and his colleague Gjorgj served us dinner in a very kind and extremely polite way. Lucky the restaurant to have such dedicated employees. The food was awesome as always!

Stumbled across Jaks when wandering, beautiful location, staff were exceptionally welcoming, great menu and food was amazing. Fresh produce with lots of choice. Lovely outside seating area on a quiet London street … would highly recommend.

I was aimlessly wandering around and came upon this gem in a neighborhood lined with pretty shops and gorgeous homes. It seems to be frequented by local residents, which was exactly what I was looking for, and it has a little shop that sells fruits, vegetables, pasta, olive oils, etc. I ordered Spaghetti Bolognese, which was perfectly cooked, hot and topped with just the right amount of parmesan. The meat sauce has to be the recipe from someone's little, old nonna. It was out of this world. I couldn't finish it so I took the leftovers to go - along with a scrumptious piece of strawberry cheesecake and a bag filled with oil, vinegar, chips and sweets! Thank you, James - I wish I knew how to spell your real name!!

As the french toast connoisseur I have had to try a range of french toast and today was Jak's Walton street restaurants turn......and i must say I didn't leave disappointed. I really liked the cinnamon & honey combination. Good presentation and the first cut of the bread tells you a lot about a french toast. So I am always relieved when it is a smooth easy first cut which it was and tasted very good. Must say i will be returning because the dessert on show looked incredible but ill save that for another review. All in all left happy and great service, but I expect nothing less from Chelsea really, Jak's was GREAT small gem. 5* Service by the waiters

Excellent choix de salades et plats végétariens mais également poisson et viande. Nous avons étés surpris par l’accueil du personnel tellement bienveillant. Bravo. Je recommande vivement ce restaurant chaleureux pour la fraîcheur de ces produits, le goût et l’accueil.

Placed an order from Jaks via Deliveroo and tracked the order. The driver was sat waiting for the food to be ready. 10 minutes later the food shows up stone cold and doesn’t even look like it’s even been cooked. The cheese on the lasagna wasn’t even melted! Called the restaurant to complain and they were unhelpful and rude. Wouldn’t order again from this place!

I went to Jak's restaurant yesterday and there was a group of 14 adults and children watching the TV with no social distancing. In addition the staff were saying nothing to stop this blatant disregard for the law and public health.

Sin embargo, me gustan mucho las ensaladas en Jaks, cada vez que vengo me arrepiento en el momento en que cruzo la puerta. El personal es tan desagradable, antipático y simplemente grosero. Relativamente hablando, la comida es cara por estar preparada (ensaladas, embutidos, etc.), por lo que lo menos que pueden hacer es tener un personal amable. Si te sientes mal por la vida, no te desquites con los clientes.

¡Estábamos caminando por Walton Street necesitando encontrar un lugar para almorzar, Jak’s Cafe fue donde decidimos comer! La comida era muy fresca y sabrosa y el personal amable y servicial. Las ensaladas y los platos principales son autoseleccionados en el mostrador y luego traídos a su mesa, muy relajados, con influencia italiana y vale la pena una visita para un almuerzo ligero.

Mooi ingericht restaurant in een stijlvolle buurt nabij New Bond Street en Oxford Street. Vriendelijk onthaal. Zeer lekkere taarten, verse sapjes, koffie/ latte en grote maaltijdsalades die je aan de hand van een ruime keuze aan de toonbank zelf samenstelt. Zeker een bezoek waard!

Es un local que fusiona la discoteca (hasta la 1 de la mañana) con el restaurante. La música va a estar bastante alta durante la cena (depende también, supongo, de la hora a la que vas (a más tarde, más alta). La comida, bien, sin más. Pagas el diseño del local, la gente guapa y joven que hay y el postureo de la foto. ¿Recomendable? Sí. ¿Repetiría? No lo creo. Por cierto, si vas, intenta ir guapo/a.

I very much like this haunt. Its very well located with great food and a good vibe. Reasonably priced too. The people who frequent are also trendy. I would go time and time again!!!

Estábamos muy entretenidos instruido por el frente de la casa gent, no ir a ningún otro sitio! Así instruido nos alegramos de cumplir. También nos gustó mucho el encantador almuerzo, ensaladas de la selección en la exposición en un gran armario de descansar. El lugar tenía un ambiente feliz, viendo la actuación en el frente de la casa era como un show.Los postres, pasteles y tortes todo parecía fabuloso, pero no probamos ninguno.

I tried Jak's on Walton street for a quick lunch. Not expensive and good food. Everything is homemade and the salads are very good. They also offer takeaway and deliveries via apps. Recommended but do not expect something extraordinary.

La comida es excelente, el servicio es excelente, pero mientras comíamos había algunos muy ruidoso (brokers? ) llamada por sus oficios y diciendo palabrotas, el dinero que ha ganado, y a las chicas les gustaría conectó con (en términos increíblemente crudo). El personal no hizo nada sobre estos rogues, tal vez porque estaban gastando tanto dinero, pero arruinaron completamente el ambiente en el lugar y destruyó cualquier posibilidad de una agradable velada.

Este restaurante fue una gran sorpresa positiva. El lugar es muy grande, con una lugares para comer, para bailar y divertirse. Los camareros eran muy simpáticos y serviciales. La comida era estupenda, la música era incluso mejor, y el servicio fue excelente. Todo el mundo que viene en Londres por cualquier razón debería visitar este gran lugar.

Llegué a este lugar tranquilo y relajante en carreteras secundarias de Kensington y como entré pasado dieron tirado por su magnetismo que desde el exterior es el ambiente dado las grandes ventanas. Bueno para escapar del ajetreo y el bullicio de la corriente principal Kensington como Harrods. Zona tranquila y cuando llegué estaba dentro de la decoración interior disfrute del variado colores de verde a gris a rojizo. Mucho bonito bar para aquellos enamorados con bares. Disfruté de mi Pinot grigio, Italia 2014 ya tienen Español Castro Martín. Personal bellamente vestida en blanco y negro. No dudo de la limpieza

Il servizio è stato lentissimo: ci hanno portato i piatti dopo 3 ore. Avevo ordinato un filetto che non è arrivato. Nel piatto della mia amica c'era un capello. Il conto era sbagliato con ordini in più.

Estoy deseando volver a visitar el restaurante Jak pronto. Pero mientras tanto que he visitado Jak's bar para un par de cócteles. Fueron - un vodka y una grúa. Muy sencillo y sinceramente me dejó la impresión en mí como uno de los mejores cócteles que he tenido en mucho tiempo.

The food here is really really delicious and healthy. I eat there all the time. The one down side is that sometimes you are kept waiting for a long time while the staff chat amongst themselves, or to their 'favourite' customers.Amazing cakes too. Carrot cake is ace. You can also get delivery, but they don't offer a big cake range - this shoudl be changed!!!!!!!

We had take away from this restaurant several time. Food delicious and healty. Good choices from buffet for take away.

This place is great if you want a good healthy plate of food. You choose a main for your salad, chicken, tuna etc... then two or three sides to go with it. All the ingredients taste fresh and are well cooked and presented

Lots of tasty and unusual salads, together with hot and cold main dishes, and a wide variety of drinks as well. It all looks so good, the only problem is making up your mind what to have.

Jaks is one of my favourite places for lunch in London, I love the concept ! you get to chose one main course with three sides for a reasonable price, there is a wide selection of main courses to suit everyone from steak to vegetarian, and cold to warm sides such as salads, potato's etc.I would highly recommend you save room for dessert! there cheese cake is amazing! Its always busy, but staff are very attentive. The only negative comment I would say is that they allow dogs in the restaurant and I found some them sitting on the chairs, rather than the floor, which personally I thought was unhygienic, not everyone is dog friendly, or would want dogs around them while eating, specially that its a shared seating concept.

I've been to Jaks twice and I really like that the food is good, but still balanced. I had chicken breast with rice and a tomato mozzarella salad which was very balanced, healthy and still very good.I love that they have a juice bar where you choose your fruits and they shortly bring you the juice.I had a desert once, they're homemade but a bit dry but still very good.

Das Essen hier ist einfach durchgehend schmackhaft. Das ganze wird abgerundet durch das wirklich gute und freundliche Personal. Sehr zentral gelegen, immer einen Abstecher wert.

This place is a bit of an institution in Chelsea and is such for a reason - good food at reasonable prices and nice atmosphere.

I immediately was charmed by this place as I stepped in. The atmosphere is is superb, cozy, relaxed, really ideal for a Sunday brunch.Service is friendly, the food is good, the cakes look amazing. I'd return here any time without hesitation.I had a brownie with chocolate sauce on it and found it a bit dry. It wasnt really a brownie in the traditional, American sense, it was more like an Easter European chocolate cake which needed either some jam in the middle or a bit more butter in the pastry... But the rest of the food was perfect.

Looking for a venue that has variety in spades. This is the place. Great value for money and the choice of mains including vegetarian options, sweets, wines, coffee and juices is abundant. A main and 2 sides £10. Casual style dining, wonderful service, pleasant ambience, freshly made food, up market location.

Wandered into a "new" Jaks across the road from their Deli. They are only a few days open and basically are trying out something a little more intimate by design.I got my food to take away but on entry there is a selection of fresh fish they purchase daily to choose from so it will vary from day to day I expect. They are also doing sushi but since I didn't order I can't comment on it except to say the ones they were making looked a little small and sadly filled.Nice little tables and very friendly staff. I ordered salmon and asparagas which they make on a hot plate right infront of you.Although I thought the salmon could have been cooked for a little longer, the food was quite good and tasty.I will go back when they have been open a little longer but it was a nice experience. I would have given it a 3.5 but I wouldn't go to 4.In short, nice and pleasant. Go check it out for yourself.

Premetto che sono stato a Londra un mese per lavoro, alloggiando nella zona di South Kensington, e ho avuto quindi occasione di provare diversi locali della zona di Old Brompton Road e limitrofe.Segnalato da italiani stanziali, il posto è stato una piacevole scoperta. Si ordina al bancone da un ricco buffet di piatti caldi e freddi - carni, pesce, insalate, contorni, torte salate e dolci, e si viene poi serviti al tavolo prescelto. La particolarità sta nel tipo di piatti serviti e nella qualità della preparazione, notevolmente sopra la media, insieme ad un prezzo più che abbordabile per la city. Peccato che sia difficile arrivarci per sbaglio, dalla stazione di South Kensington sono diversi minuti a piedi.

This is my local dining place that I highly recommend. The food is great, big portions, staff is very attentive. They have all kinds of cold pressed juices and real good selection of desserts. Big,juicy tuna steaks with an endless choice of two sides per portion, yummy sort of "quiche" with goats cheese and veg, but my personal favourites are the forbidden rice, the stuffed aubergines with veggies, the red quinoa salad and the nut-free pasta. Cosy,homey place for good food!

A different place where to eat in Sount Kensington. Walton Street is in a trendy area, but the atmosphere in Jak's is familiar. You choose what to have at the counter, where all the food is on display, and they prepare the dish for you. Great variety of vegetables and fish, less on the meat side. Cuisine is Mediterranean, mixing Italy, Spain, Lebanon etc. Smiling and friendly staff, some of them do speak also foreign languages (not exactly common in UK). Besides the entrance room, they also have some more table of the back. Not inexpensive, but absolutely reasonable for what you get in terms of quantity and quality. London is not famous for good food, but Jak's is indeed an exception.

Bad experienceI was at Jak's last Saturday evening but I didn't actually had dinner but used the bar and had a couple of cocktails with my friends and I have to admit that the cocktails were rushed and not made properly! For the price (very expensive) you would expect a really nice cocktail but fail to impress. Second cocktail I had to wait over 20 mins at the bar it was absolutely ridiculous so I would recommend it to someone who likes to spend most of their evening waiting at the bar to be served to get a cruppy cocktail! The venue though is worth a try !

Yes this restaurant is quite pricey but it's pretty good value for the location. Located in a smart, quiet street in South Kensington, it's a five minute walk from the station. You can pay a lot more for a much inferior experience in this part of town!We had a really great meal. The staff were all fantastic & super friendly. The place was busy & buzzing with fun, loud music. It didn't feel cramped though as it's a large place. The food was great with generous portions. You order your food at the bar, choosing from what they call a buffet. You basically choose your main course & then 2 sides. I had Chicken parmagiana with an aubergine & chickpea side & green beans for about £15. The chef gave me two huge pieces of chicken but it was so good I ate it all. In fact all 5 of us cleared our enormous plates of food. What would make it get 5 stars? The set up was slightly confusing in terms of ordering food & makes it feel a bit like a canteen when you are paying restaurant prices. Some sharing options on the menu for groups would make decision making a bit easier!

En Chelsea es unánime entre sus habitantes: un lugar único. Eliges en la barra viendo lo que vas a comer: todo tipo de ensaladas, lasaña, salmón al limón, con innumerables guarniciones. Te lo comes allí o te lo llevas. Todo esta buenísimo y el precio no es ningún escándalo. Los postres del otro mundo, sobretodo el pastel de chocolate con plátano. Un lugar peculiar y divertido.

This restaurant on chic Walton Street operates from an unusual but intriguing and well-executed premise − high quality food can be prepared in advance and served quickly and efficiently. The best dishes were the fish which were simply cooked and displayed in the case where orders are placed. The two accompanying sides were bright, fresh vegetables and starches in extremely generous portions. After ordering, the dishes are warmed and brought to your table, which works better for some dishes than for others. My tuna, which was advertised as medium rare was well done and much too dry by the time it reached me. The vegetables, on the other hand, survived the reheating and retained all of their crunch and color. This service format permits and encourages lots of sharing and worked quite well with two toddlers in our group. Tables are reasonably spaced so that you don’t feel stuffed into your allotted plot. While the clientele mostly matches the trendiness of the neighborhood, the reasonable pricing and relaxed atmosphere make it equally welcoming for families, but it pays to consider the reheating process when placing orders.

For an affordable price, you can enjoy super fresh food in this warm atmosphere. Not too close to the tube station but still a great find. There is lots of great recipes to choose from and the staff is very friendly. Although some of the waitresses who served us seemed very inexperienced, the rest of the staff were quick to make up for it. Beware that this place has 2 different branches located on the same street. Whilst the bar is where it used to be, the restaurant has moved next door. Give it a go and you will not be disappointed!

Jak's is a great spot for a late bite. We ate there recently, and found it unpretentious and relaxed. The atmosphere is pleasant and the staff attentive; the welcomed us without a reservation at nearly 11pm. All the customers were young & fashionable looking. The food is Mediterranean in style. One chooses one's food at the counter - it's prepared, heated and brought to your table. There is a great selection of salads. I had tuna steak, with stuffed vine leaves & salad, and it was genuinely gorgeous. For 2 of us, with a bottle of wine, the bill came in under £40 - exceptional value.

We had a lovely Saturday lunch at Jak's, recommended to us via TripAdvisor. Within just a few minutes' walk from South Kensington station, this was a great place to discover: pleasant interiors, friendly service, excellent food! A bit pricey, but a very wide range of choice, everything fresh and wholesome. The fruit and veggies are on the counter, ready to be juiced in very tasteful blends, and don't forget to leave room for desserts (the cheesecake was fabulous!)

J'ai aimé ce petit restaurant un peu confidentiel où l'on choisit comme dans un self mais où les poissons sont délicieux, les jus de fruits frais préssés devant vous avec une grande variété,il se trouve dans une petite rue et il y avait beaucoup de français au moment du déjeuner, enfin pour résumer j'ai été en premier lieu un peu surprise "j'étais invitée" et ensuite je me suis régalée avec le saumon. Pas de jugement sur les desserts que je n'ai pas gouté.

Friendly service and outstanding location.If you are in London you need to go there once and try as well the crowded Jak's bar just next to it.. you'll feel like you are in a house party!! This is such a RARE place to find. A cafe/restaurant that has the PERFECT menu for those who care about their body, as well as delicious things for the fat, greedy friend, or the friend who feels like a delicious piece of cáke too. So firstly they have a brilliant juicing machine, and none of this fruit smoothie 'healthy' nonsense. They have carrots, betroots, ginger and apples beside the juicing machine - ie, all the things that you SHOULD have in your fresh juice ever day.And they know how to mix the ingredients properly to make the vegetable juice still taste delicious.Then they have the most amazing selection of healthy foods to choose from. And all ready, so that you can order and eat immediately - either take away or at one of their lovely tables.You can have grilled white fish, salmon, chicken, amazing salads, lasagne, pasta, in fact there is always something for everyone regardless of what eating plan they are on.In addition, they have lovely helpful staff, a great coffee machine and a lovely tea selection.And best of all, they have the most amazingly delicious cake selection should you fancy something sweet. Or you can just buy a small bar of plain dark chocolate of it's a healthy sweet you're after!Really, they thought of everything. I love this place.

I've been to the cafe a few times whenever I'm staying in London. The service is always friendly and attentive. The food has always been excellent and I would say that the lasagne and cheesecake are the best I've ever tasted. I've introduced all my friends to the restaurant and it seems they know the staff better than I do. Looking forward to going back on my next visit to London.

Jaks cafe is probably the best place to go and eat in London. Everytime I have been the staff have been excellent and always made my family feel welcome and special. Whilst it serves many meat dishes I would say it is excellent for anyone looking for a decent vegetarian place as the choice is so varied. Yes the place is popular and gets busy but there is a reason for that. Jaks is the best around. If the cafe is too busy the staff are more than happy to have your food taken to his bar 3 doors down where you can eat and relax. The food is always fresh and very tasty. It's also great for takeaway and I've seen people come in and order for a dinner party wanting to pass it off as their own home cooked food. Portion sizes are on the 'hearty' size and good value as my wife always seems to take half home for her lunch the next day!Best thing to do is to go and try it yourself you won't be disappointed.

This small place offers great home-made food. The concept is the following: all the food is exposed as in a traiteur, you choose a main dish and then as many side dishes as you want. What has to be warmed up will be. There is a basic price for the dish with 2 side dishes (I think) and then the price increases with the numer of side dishes. We usually pay arounf £15pp.My personal favourites: the salmon filet, sautéed potatoes, sautéed mushrooms, parsley taboulet. Other great choices: the tuna steak, the lasagna..and many others.Jak's also offers great fruint and vergetable to create your juice. Be creative!Unfortunately, the word is out one the streets and it is now overcrowded, service is not as attentive and as nice as it used to, and it is far too noisy. Not as enjoyable as it was, it now rather stressful on weekend days.

They have a great variety of dishes but my recommendation is their oven-roasted tuna steak and strawberry cheese cake. You will love it! Super fast service, reasonable prices for Walton str and good value for money.

Jaks is that kind ofplace you would love to find in your trips: great biologic food, amazing service, cool ambience, and great food! Situated in one of the bests Londons zones, We've visited it several times and Jak makes us feel at home!Popular people around, incredibles salads and fish and meat dishes, great eines, all at good prices! I go to London 3/4 times a year and I ahve lunch hear each day of my trip!And very close the new bar to have adrink in the evening! Jak, build an hotel!

I went there last night with some friends. If you want good service, avoid this restaurant. Basically, it's part self-service restaurant. But that's what you get , half-service or not even that. The waiters are really rude. They brought a different drink than what I ordered. When I complained, the waitress just went back and brought the correct drink and shoved it on the table, almost spilling it. The food was average, nothing spectacular. I had tuna in soy sauce and stuffed aubergine. The tuna was quite dry, but stuffed aubergine was good. All in all, I won't be coming back. You can get better food and service elsewhere for the same price.

Jak's is a great place to relax and have good, fresh food. It's a mix of a café, a bistro, and a rustic restaurant. Combine the daily main course and your sides of choice at reasonable prices. Fresh fruits and vegetables are piled up on the bar for fresh juices; the cake was very tasty, too. We had lunch here, but next time I'll come to London, I'll try to have brunch.
