Jaipur Spice in Hambleton

The food here was very nice. Nice papadums and dips and main courses very tasty and not oily. Portion sizes are good. Service is good. There is (free) parking outside the restaurant, which is located just a bit outside Easingwold. Point for improvement would be the atmosphere / decoration. It's starting to look a bit old with damage to the dining chairs and general decoration isn't particularly interesting. Aircon blasting out was also not necessary as it wasn't warm. I would definitely eat here again though as the food was very nice.

We decided to go here based on a recommendation from a friend and we were not disappointed! The Chicken Pathia was sensational, so much flavour, absolutely delicious. I also tried my partners vindaloo, which was equally tasty. Poppadoms and naan’s were a great addition to the meal and were also very nice and fresh. Above all the the service deserves a special mention, all the staff were excellent, especially a man, I think he said his name was Shy, who couldn’t do enough for us and made us feel extra special. Thank you for everything. Would definitely recommend anyone to give this place a try.

There was an elderly worker (possibly the owner?) asking a family with a young daughter how much she can be purchased for. Extremely unapproapriate behaviour from a very old man. Would not recommend to families and we will not visit again because there are many other fantastic restaurants in the area who actually show respect to their paying customers.

Over heard staff asking to buy a families daughter for like £20k.

The food was good but the staff were acting very strange around my two daughters and asking how much they were. Won’t go back as this made us feel very uncomfortable.

Tikka was dry. No sauce provided. Nann soggy and not cooked or finished well. Poor experience.Also tried to charge for drinks delivered to next table. Charged for dipping sauces already on the table. £50 for 4 poppadoms (chargeable) soggy nanny. 2 drinks and 6 chuncks of dry chicken with rice. Would NOT recommend

I got a delivery on New Year's Eve. It was slow to get to me but due to it being New Year's Eve its understandable plus the delivery guy was super friendly which more than made up for it.

Stayed at Aldwark Manor Hotel and came here for a curry with the Mrs. It was absolutely spot on, great service, people and drinks available. Good prices too! Would definitely recommend!

We were staying at Burn Hall Hotel, Huby and came access this indian restaurant which was approximately a 5 minute drive away. Had the banquet meal for 2. Food was tasty and full of flavour and the portion sizes were amazing. 2 starters, 1 side, 2 main curry dishes, 2 naan and 1 pilau rice all for £37! Bargain! Highly recommended if in the area! :)))))

The premisës are nice and spotless. Our main was great but whilst eating we noticed a customer on the next table having difficulty with his dessert. We ordered deserts. The cheesecake was served that frozën it was solid. The tiramasu was watery. When my partner returned the cheesecake saying it was frozen, he waiter just shrugged. The bill came and both sweets were charged for. A senior waiter reduced The price by one dessert but the bill was still £68. Having tendered £80 cash we were asked whether we wanted to take the change away thinking we were going to give a £12 tip. Two customers on adjacent tables both server frozen cheesecake dessert. Not good.

Didn't know that they delivered to Huby so that was a nice surprise! Ordered food and it came early which is always a bonus. Food was nice and hot, lots of flavours and great value for money. Delivery driver was nice and friendly. Will definitely be ordering from here again

Came for a my partners Birthday. The food is very tasty, I asked for a recommendation as I didn't want to have the same dish and I'm happy I decided to! Really friendly staff in a relaxed setting and a lovely suprise happy birthday and mini cake for the mrs. Will come again. Thank you 😊.

Absolutely disgusting got big rats around back near kitchen only one good thing about here is the man in caravan great bloke but the rest of work force are rude and unclean with rats also robbed us with 2 nights stay after we paid them absolutely disgusting for them to do that but the place is dead on the accommodation side of things hope they get a check soon for the rats as it is dangers when food is invold all in all a horrible place to stay

Absolutely delicious. Last year I had a couple of meals and they were far too hot and spicy for me. My husband wanted to order here again. I was reluctant but my goodness I don’t know if they have change their chef but the food gets 10 out of 10. Absolutely delicious Perfect delivery I requested 830 and it came exactly at 8:30. Can’t wait for my next one.

Food excellent, but why advertise that you deliver when every time we ask we are told “not tonight”

OK is the way to describe Jaipur. The food was ok, the service was underwhelming and overall quality of your surroundings was lacking. It was okay for a meal when in the surrounding area but I really didn't enjoy the staff not being happy with me paying by cars and pushing a cash payment. Also when the bill came they instantly brought a card reader and took my bill without me seeing it and entered an amount, and then took the bill and receipt away... Just a bit too dodgy for my liking.

Exceptionally good food and lovely service. Great vegetable korma and aloo gobhi!

Expensive for what it is. I ordered squid to start, which was basically shop bought frozen battered squid deep fried and then tossed in some sauce. I ordered poppadoms for one and was charged £6. I won’t be returning.

Even though Google and their website say it is open 12 till 2 ( and previously booking a table at this time with the front desk), when i arrived i was told abruptly they were not open during this time with no effort to reschedule

Myself and my brother are staying at this hotel whilst on a fishing trip for a few days , arrived at the hotel and was allowed to book in early . The room we stayed in was clean and very spacious and ideal for what we wanted . We also decides to have a meal at the on-site Indian restaurant the food was absolutely amazing we could not fault this place the staff are very friendly and helpful we can’t believe the price we paid for this place it’s great value for money

Enjoyed our meals , I ordered the Chicken & Spinach which was very tasty, the three others ordered a lamb masala with honey and the others two ordered king Prawn masala. They enjoyed there meal except that the colour was bright red/ pink and looked a little un natural. but on the whole we enjoyed the evening

We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals here. Every time we are staying on the area, we normally end up here. The staff are always welcoming and can't do more to help.

Lovely food in pleasing surroundings with good service.

The service was swift. We had drinks within minutes and poppadoms moments later. The staff were very attentive and custom spiced my husbands favourite curry - Ceylon - to a lower level of spice than blow your brains out. The Ceylon was spicy but delicious! The chicken dhansak and chicken Shashlik were equally as good. Very disappointed that we live over 200 miles away so we won’t be a regular but would love them to open a restaurant in Canterbury! Service was great. Rooms basic but clean. A bit far out of the action of York but great for a stop over.

Tv never worked despite assurances everyday it was being fixed shower in bath was difficult to get in shower rail hanging down only fixed at the bottom No change of bedding or towels Noise from resteraunt below constant music a dull thud thud thud Peopl in the car park on their phone having loud discussions Door banging very loud throughout the night A lot of light coming through closed bedroom door as it is a fire door i'm not sure smoke would be stopped or held back in an emergency Room door was very difficult to open with the key the lock seamed damaged

Impromptu visit for me and my son to Jaipur Spice tonight. Was the first time we've ever been there .. it definitely won't be our last.... the staff were great.. very friendly and offered a great service... the food was amazing... tried things tonight I've never had before simply because the descriptions made the dishes sound awesome and that's exactly what they were... my sons dishes... again new choices for him were equally as good... we dont live in the area but come regularly as we have a caravan nearby... cant wait for the next visit so we can book into JS again.... thanks for looking after us tonight... see u again soon.

Met friends for a meal, staff were so welcoming, place was spotless and my meal was fabulous! Ten out of ten for me. Took a take away gone and again it was excellent!

Rang and booked table. Traveled to area especially for this to be told on arrival they were shut at that time even though staff booked my time pn a previoys day ansld website hours showed it open. Then it took 3 people to tell me it was not open. 2 of which were rude

The service here is normally fantastic they normally can't do enough for you but tonight I was absolutely shocked felt rushed the whole meal,waiter stood across from our table waiting to pounce as I was still eating, then bill was put on table immediately after taking plates we were not asked if we would like anything else had to have bill amended as my grandson wanted an ice cream we were out of there by 8_45 it's not as if it was near 10 is it under new management?

Visited Sept 2020; we turned up without a booking and were accommodated as it wasn't busy. Lovely friendly staff. The food was pretty bland for a 'curry' house.

Hoping the food is better than the customer service received. Won't be recommending any friends/family to help this restaurant out during this hard time, as they simply won't help you in return. Planned a takeaway and phoned in ahead prior to ordering to the find out we couldn't because there "card marine had broken" pathetic excuse. I guess even the guys at the restaurant can't pay their bill? Ridiculous.
