Went for a meal here Thursday the service and food was amazing the first time we visited after many delivers even so nice we orded again tonight thanks guys ignore the haters ❤️

Me and 2 friends come for a curry after a few drinks. Really enjoyed the quality of the meal, everything was cooked to a great standard. I’ve visited the old jaflong a few years ago and wasn’t impressed. However the new location had blown the old side out of the water ! Great service, great food, just needs more of a buzz

I don't normally bad mouth restaurants but... Just had a delivery from the curry house we used to love... I honestly thought by ordering a meal that was far more expensive than other curry houses I'd be guaranteed to get a good meal... Wrong!! The main meal was very average, the rice was borderline cold, naan bread was tasteless (supposed to be garlic) and the onion bhaji's were hard and chewy. The soured yoghurt was watered down compared to other curry houses we've eaten at. I'm sorry guys but if you're charging top whack for a curry, at least make it edible. Won't ever order again ❌

Had a jaflong last night after it's recent reopening in it's original location on Crookes and have to say it was absolutely delicious and so enjoyable. As a not meat eater sometimes choice can be a bit limited but they had ample paneer based dishes to choose from (which is often my go-to dish) and I had the paneer tikka karhai which was fantastic, really tasty, rich sauce, full of flavour and very nice, largish tikka panner chunks, the best I've had from any restaurant, looked to be done on skewers too. I also had bhajis to start and a garlic naan, both were spot on.

Birthday curry. Food top notch as always. What annoyed me is the waiter asking us to hurry up with our meal, taking away 3 of our plates whilst 1 of us was still eating!! Arguing with us when we asked for 2 pickle trays with our poppadoms. Food was lovely but when you've had your food and still got your drinks on the table and want to relax after your meal and chill its nit very nice feeling like they want to move you. No-one was waiting and with spending £112 for 4 of us you could do better!!

They delivered within the time they said. Delivery guy was very polite. Food was very tasty. My only small criticism was I felt that could’ve been slightly more chicken.

The large Jaflong Restaurant on Crookes is no more but has moved back to their original small restaurant on Northfield Road (on the corner of Loxley View Road) with perhaps 10 tables max. Back to its roots & back to the feel of a traditional 80s Indian.

First time ordering take out .chicken biryani was tastless and very little chicken. Lamb saag was beautiful but very sparce when I opened it not much in.nice service but disappointed with the food .

Ordered on Monday night took nearly 2 hours, food was cold & tasteless, this is the 3rd time we ordered since re opening an not 1 meal as been great but this was the worst. We used to order at least once twice a week when other restaurant was open an never had a bad one but since re opening it's been awful, I don't mind paying restaurants prices an our orders are always over £40 but to put it politely I will not be ordering from there again.

The food was delicious and the service attentive. However, it is quite expensive - our group of 7 paid £170 for a drink and a curry. After an hour and a half - and five minutes after finishing our food - we were told they needed the table for the next group. We didn't intend to linger but it is not nice being rushed.

Great food in this small restaurant but they didn't take cards for payment which resulted in the usual run to the nearest cash machine at the end. I'm hoping their card machine was broken as there really is no excuse not to take cards these days. Good restaurant though with friendly staff.

First visit to Jaflong after about 15 years. The food was okay. Quite spicy which didn't warn us on the menu (no problem). Beer very expensive £7 for large bottle, and then we asked to take our remaining food home. 2 small single use metal takeaway containers and they changed £2 for the doggy bag. I have never in my life been charged for a doggy bag. It left a bad taste and a £2 smaller tip than we would have left...will not be rushing back which is a shame as we only live around the corner.

Temporary home is a bit small but still a great experience. Bengali fish is cracking

After booking a meal for New Year’s Eve for 6 people when we arrived only 5 of us 1 person was ill, we were told they could only seat 4 of us !! As there was only 5 of us to seat 1 of our party had to leave, I’ve worked in hospitality for years and would never turn one person away like that !! To add insult even more the bill was charged £30 over what we had !! Ruined New Year’s Eve family meal !!

This was my third visit to Jaflong. I have tried several dishes and they have all been delicious. The staff are very friendly and are happy to explain ingredients. Unfortunately the restaurant is closing soon and hopefully moving to a new location.

Maybe it was because it was a Saturday and the presence of a large family group that the atmosphere was loud and rushed. However three very experienced 'curry' eaters were very disappointed. Poppadoms and onion bhaji good, overcooked starter with bottled runny 'sauces' and negligible salad. The mains included coated frozen small cubed chicken and boil in the bag dishes. Canteen food. Staff rally tried hard to make things work but 'take away' customers received presidence.

We ordered about £85.00 worth of food and didn't get any free popadoms, and the one salad that was included to go with our three starters, had no cucumber or tomato. Very disappointing. They had also packed our food in a large box and placed some of the servings on their side so grease had leaked everywhere and it made a mess of our kitchen table trying to sort out the meals and we got our hands filthy in the process. The portion of aloo gobi was small despite being a main. Considering you're paying £8.90 for a bit of potato and cauliflower in a sauce, you'd think they could give you a decent amount. While their food is lovely, they don't seem to care about their takeaway customers. Unfortunately, I would order from them again but only because I don't know any Indian restaurant with better food.

Moved to Sheffield 2 years ago and have been searching for a regular takeout and have finally found one! Delicious, well flavoured, piping hot - can't ask for more. Fresh ingredients used in sauces and really good quality, well cooked meat. Will definitely be ordering again, worth the slightly higher prices than other local curry houses for significantly better quality food.

We had a wonderful selection of food from Jaflong for my husband's birthday. I discovered a new favourite and my husband - unfortunately - discovered that some dishes are too hot for him. He enjoyed it at the time, but paid the price after lol! The order was a little late, but we were warned of this situation well in advance. Pricey, but you get what you pay for. Top quality food. Recommended.

Order due between 20.25-20.45. Got a message at 20.25 to say it was on its way. Phoned restaurant at 21.13 and they said it was out for delivery. Order arrived at 21.30

Don't expect to pay 13.99 for a main and the meat to be cut up in small cubes as if I was a 4 year old to hide the fact there was hardly any meat in the dish, shame because the starters were good.

Great curry house. Fast service, all the courses came quickly and were delicious. Well priced and took the leftovers home which is a nice option to have. Been to several around Sheffield and it's definitely one of the best.

We love the food from here but tonight the delivery was terrible we waited over two hours every time We rang it was two Minutes away and it wasn’t also even though very tasty it was stone cold and had to be warmed up

Starters had been microwaved I think cos they had no crunch! found the rogan josh to be a bit tasteless. Bit disappointing this time.

Very nice meal, but not quite as good as previous orders. There was too much garlic in the Jaflong-Koli and fewer fried onions on top than usual. Everything else was lovely. WIsh you could do 1/2 stars and I would have given it 5.5.

Had a meal here on Saturday night and during the night after getting home started with stomach pains and terrible fever like symptons sweating then freezing cold just had the worst 48 hrs ever . Can only put it down to food poisoning from the chicken tikka masala . Wont be going to the Jaflong again thats for sure.

I went in on Tues 1st Nov with a mate without a reservation and was greeted and sat, poppadoms came out quick as did the onion bhaji which was phenomenal. Everything was very tasty and one of the best Indians I've ever had. I will definitely be going back 100%.

Food from here is amazing. Delivery is prompt. It’s expensive for a takeaway but it’s restaurant and after many poor takeaways, you get what you pay for and it’s 100% worth it. Never had a bad one. Can’t recommend enough.

We always ordered from here as the food is lovely ! But unfortunately it was quite late this time, we got a text to confirm it was running 10 minutes late and then it still turned up a lot later than that, closer to 25/30 minutes late which meant the food wasn’t hot at all, it was warm when serving it and cold by the time we’d tucked in which was a massive shame as like I say it’s normally always piping hot and here within the time frame , the food we could eat that was warm was tasty all the same

The food is good. Service equally good. Its air conditioned which on the hottest day of the year was a real plus. Good selection of drinks. Quite a good size for the area. Prices are very reasonable. Happy to return.

One of the best Indian meals I've had in long time will be back

Went yesterday for my birthday. Treat from my two kids and partners. Service was over all good, Barr a drink been spilt at the table while one of the waiters was stood and he didn’t even offer us a serviette let alone move plates to help. Starters were fantastic, we all went for a variant of the chat. Want to say that three of the mains were fantastic according to eaters. One was very very hot, it wasn’t that hot the last time it was ordered. I ordered a vegetable balti. While the sauce was lush, the curry consisted of sliced onions a few garden peas and some frozen cubed carrot. That was it! Now any vegetable curry I’ve eaten had potatoes some cauliflower etc, very very disappointed. And for 10.50 I was robbed. If I go again I will stick to Paneer. If I go again.

Brillant staff and chef was so good we love it

1st time I've been here. It was mid week and quiet. Only a few other people in there with us. It is a good sized place with a bar and many seats. We had poppadoms with the pickle tray. I Ordered a mixed kebab starter and a lamb bhuna with a Naan to share. The food was good, enjoyed all of it and would come back here again!

Best around for miles, really good service

Lovely staff at Jaflong. The foods was also delicious. We had some poppadoms and chutney to start, the chutneys were lovely and light. We then had some korma and pilau rice. The chicken pieces were tender and the sauce delicious and creamy. The cheese naan was also really good and not oily at all! Will definitely go there/order take outs again!

Jaflong provide the best Indian food I have ever had in Sheffield. If you think they seem a bit expensive, it's because you're paying for quality. It's wonderful to get restaurant quality food every time you order. Don't forget to try their wonderful naan breads - the best I've had anywhere in England.

Very disappointed. The food was bland and unappetising, the bhajis were overcooked and inedible and the poppadoms were burnt. It was delivered on time but the dishes were barely warm.

Sent wrong items then was telling me they can’t do nothing as they’ve sent something still. Saying next time I can get a discount. Not offering to rectify anything. Won’t be ordering again!!

I usually love eating out at Jaflong, love your chef’s special curries. Unfortunately today’s delivery arrived very cold which especially ruined the nan bread. Whilst the main needed re-heating in the microwave to somewhat save the day, but it was a disappointing dinner overall & I then couldn’t get through to you guys. I think you could correct the above by not just sending the meals out in a blue plastic bag. Or is it rather just poor handling by your delivery drivers? (I live under 2mins away from the restaurant by car, although I appreciate that they may be doing many drop offs.) I will definitely give your delivery another go soon and I hope by then my feedback will be handled constructively. Thank you!

Definitely our favourite for Indian cuisine

Having used Jaflong as a regular curry takeaway in the past. I decided to try again tonight. I've got to say the food appears to have gone down hill. The order wasn't big, but they did forget to put any spice in the chicken vindaloo, which was a lot down. The tikka masala had what felt like half a large bag of salt in it and finally they forgot to put in the naan bread, that was paid for, in the bag.

This was an amazing take-away meal. The introduction was the bordering-on-obligatory trio of poppadoms with oions and peppers. So far, so not unusual - except, hte poppaoms were incredibly light, much more so than from other providers, and the flavour was enhanced as a result. The rest ws of equal quality, like turning your own dining room into a restaurant. It was worth havking to wash our own dishes. The only thing missing was a thin , chocolate-coated mint for after the meal. Highly recommended and well worth the money.

Cobra perfectly kept, Bailey's over ice, £2.90 absinthe, quantro for the ladies. Best curry in Crookes. Amen
