Fantastic family-run restaurant offering authentic Indian cuisine. Loved the decor and atmosphere, the staff were really helpful and the food was bangin'. Would recommend trying the various starters as these are really special. For mains we had Chicken Madras, Butter Chicken and some vegetarian dishes. All really good. Make time to visit this place. You won't be disappointed. 👍

We came to Delhi In Minutes for an impromptu date night, having been recommended by family and were blown away by how delicious everything was and how friendly and professional the staff were. We ordered extra items from the menu after the waiter's thorough and interesting explanation and were not disappointed. The main courses were cooked to order and it showed in the quality of the food. Very agreeably priced, great location and very pleasant staff. This will now become our go-to curry house! Thank you Delhi In Minutes.

From reading other reviews our party must have visited on an extremely difficult night. Other reviews are extremely positive, but sadly, our visit was all a bit rubbish, very different to when it used to be Almas and run by Paul. Right from entering the restaurant no one seemed to really care about us, we were acknowledged but not greeted, not made to feel welcome, just directed to our table with no engagement from the staff. No one offered to take our coats, and we weren’t given menus. We were not made to feel welcome at all. Eventually after what seemed like a good ten minutes someone came over with menus but then immediately asked us if we were ready to order. It was the first time we had seen the menu, so we did the classic and ordered a load of poppadom’s and pickles to give us time to relax and look over the menu, but even at that stage the waiter wasn't able to answer questions that we had about the dishes on the menu. Eventually we placed our order and the food arrived fairly quickly, but we were all very surprised at how small the portions were. Sometimes if the food is absolutely stunningly superlatively amazingly gorgeous then that is a good thing and its a pleasure to savour a really well thought through and presented dish, but unfortunately everything was just lacklustre. We might have had a better experience with a supermarket microwave meal. Previously whenever we had guests in Sheffield or business clients asked where they should take a client of their own, I would always recommend Almas, but sadly Delhi in Minutes didn't do it for me our my fellow diners and wont be getting any recommendations.

I had the most delicious samosa chaat, and the best chicken biriyani I have ever eaten. I felt like part of the family - being reminded to drink my masala chai before it got cold. "How are you enjoying the biriyani? It's Grandma's recipe." My husband picked me up and I insisted on ordering him a takeout before we left.

Food was great. Customer service was very good too. Waiter explained the different spice levels which helped with ordering.

Went here with my partner and her family on a Sunday evening. The restaurant was quiet but this meant the wait-or was about to take time to explain the dishes and recommended a few starters we hadn’t heard of before. Overall the food was really good we all left feeling satisfied and would definitely come back. My only recommendation is to ensue the background music stays at a consist level. Sometimes the music would stop for several minutes and this would make the restaurant feel a little too quiet

I had a great experience at *Delhi in a Minute* in Sheffield. The food was delicious, KO especially the butter chicken and chaat, both packed with authentic flavors. The service was quick and friendly, and the cozy atmosphere made it a perfect spot for a casual meal. Portions were generous, and prices reasonable. Highly recommend if you’re looking for tasty Indian street food!

Food good, service terrible. We arrived at 7pm, food was served at 8.50. We rarely don’t leave service charge, on this occasion it wasn’t deserved and we were happy to leave without paying. All sad because it was a birthday occasion and the food was good. Won’t be returning.

Lovely dinner! The server was very friendly and provided information about the menu items before we ordered! We had papadums to start and I ordered the chicken Korma, we ordered basmati rice to share and had some plain naan. Everything was cooked perfectly. You're able to customize the spice level as they cook everything fresh. Highly recommend if you're looking for a good Indian in Sheffield.

We tried the Indian in Dore for the first time this evening. The food is first class. We eat out a lot, and this was some of the best Indian food we've had. It is cooked fresh, which means there's a bit of a wait between starter and mains, maybe 10 or 15 minutes, but for us that's a good amount of time rather than having one dish straight after the other. The staff were excellent, made sure we had everything we wanted without being intrusive. Highly recommend.

This is a brilliant restaurant. The aroma of fresh herbs and spices is immediately obviohs when you walk in. The decor is light and very contemporary. The menu is relatively limited but all of the dishes are real Indian cooking of the highest quality. I Can not reccomend this place too highly. I could go into endless detail but why dont you try it!

Food very good for vegetarians, wine choice good , beer choice weak - eg no local bottled beer - just the usual standard lagers On our second visit we did not enjoy the onion bhaji ( too oily) or the Samosas (pastry too thick) the samosa chatt was good, the mains ( 2 chicken dishes and 2 different biryani were good) Still disappointed that the beer choices are just the standard lagers.

Outstanding food. 1st time visit with the family and was really pleased with the quality of food served. Being Indian it’s hard to find a restaurant in Sheffield that serves Indian style food. We ordered a mix of curries but the one that we all loved was the daal makhani. Thank you to Sweety and the team

We had a brilliant meal last night at Delhi in Minutes. The service team was attentive and very polite, and the food was delicious! Great options for vegetarians and vegans as well as meaty dishes. We'll be going back again for sure!

Really disappointing; used to love the Almas and was hoping that the new restaurant which has replaced it would be just as good but after going tonight we experienced; 1. 30 min wait for our booked table 2. Really average starters 3. A plethora of hairs in our mains. 4. Flat beer Such a shame, really hoped that Delhi in Minutes would live up to Almas but sad to say it’s hairdly a patch on it.

Popped in on a Sunday evening as just got back from a trip. The waiter could have been more attentive really interested in our needs from wine to the food offering. Food so fresh very hot and well presented. We are so lucky to have such a great restaurant on our doorstep. If you keep this you are going to be a massive success.

Definitely go and give this place a try, something alittle different to your typical Indian, nice tasty food, pleasant staff. What's nice is you can choose off the main menu but have half portion so you can try more dishes for half the price too, good idea!

Delicious takeaway with excellent, attentive service. We were asked how spicy we'd like everything and it was perfect for us (medium). We had chicken tikka, seekh kebab, kadhai chicken, dal tadka, basmati rice and a garlic naan - we loved it and will definitely be ordering again.

Just got home from a lovely meal at this new restaurant. We struggled to choose what to eat tonight as there were so many appetising dishes on the menu. After tonight’s meal though we can just relax as we’ll definitely be going back to sample what we didn’t pick tonight! The tiki, lamb chops and KFC starters were a huge success. The onion bhaji was great too although I prefer mine a little crispier. All 3 mains (madras, prawn & fish curries) were delicious and the thinner crispy naan was great too. Honestly, I can’t really fault any of the food or service. The staff were very friendly and attentive, especially Sweety, the owner. The colourful decor just completed the friendly and welcoming atmosphere. I have a strong feeling that this was just the first of many visits and I wish the team ongoing success

I ordered a takeaway for thirteen people, which due to a tight time schedule we needed delivering at a specific time which was before the restaurant opened. Naz was really great at getting our order together, everything arrived on time and all thirteen of us enjoyed our food immensely (we ordered a wide range of dishes). I would recommend these guys if you are organising a takeaway for a large number of people - they were very organised. Thanks Tom

Absolutely awful tasting food! Really bland and no flavour what so ever. Frozen samosas, soggy onion baji and chicken tikka just been put in the microwave. You can definitely tell the chef has no passion in making food. Do not come here!!

I have been going to Almas for years now, and have always had a wonderful time. There's a great ambience thanks to the friendly staff there. The food has always been of a high quality, and in my experience, the best in Sheffield (particularly my favourite, Tandoori Chicken). I would recommend this restaurant to my all my family and friends. I'm going back again next week - can't wait!!!

Had a fantastic meal at Almas last night. The chicken liver starter was amazing and the lamb main course was so rich and tender. Brilliant friendly service from Naz. All my family were equally impressed. It doesn’t get better than this.

Just been for a meal and called in on the off chance. Good job we went when we did because it soon got busy. The food was amazing. By far the nicest Indian meal I have had. I recommend the Brasserie selection as a starter and then the Vegetable Karai with Peshawari rice or the Tandoori Prawns. The service was excellent and they do a take away, which I shall be using from now on. I highly recommend going to Alma’s.

....but hopefully not the last. We both had starters, mains, chappatis and a side and all of it was excellent. The king prawn curry was possibly the nicest I've had in a restaurant. And it was all very nicely presented. The staff were very good, efficient, friendly and very knowledgeable and happy to help with suggestions and advice. Everything including the entrance is on the flat and there's plenty of room so access is good. Can't fault them.

We enjoyed an excellent meal on a normal working day evening at Alma’s Brasserie. The restaurant was well visited. Very attentive and friendly service! Perfect assembly of starters beautifully presented! Followed by perfectly cooked Tandori Chicken morsels, respectively Tandori cooked lamb chops. Rice and Naan perfect! Wonderful meal!

I have eaten here on several occasions and like always have found the staff extremely helpful, the food choices and quality excellent and the ambiance first class. Wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this delightful experience.

I don't know how Mr Mellors arrives at this opinion, he must be very hard to please or just 'strange'. I have been eating at Almas for 25 years and this must tell you that the quality and consistency is absolutely right. It is the best Indian restaurant we have been to all over Britain. If my wife likes it it must be good !! They will do what you ask for, so I think it is more down to you than them?

The staff are so friendly and helpful. They are very good at helping you order if you don’t know what what you want. The food is always piping hot and fresh.

This was our second visit here and we were not disappointed. Although the restaurant wasn’t busy due to the weather we had a lovely meal. The food was fresh from our starters to our main meals. Almas is a family run business and we found the owner and his son to be very attentive and made us feel very welcomed. We were here celebrating our daughter’s birthdays who both had an enjoyable evening. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Never have I ever had such beautiful champaen lamb ever before. Try them and if you don’t enjoy them, I’ll pick up your bill. Tender, succulent, juicy and cooked to perfection with the most delicious marinate my tastebuds have ever experienced, EVER. We literally eat them to the bone, sucking our fingers and thumbs along the way. With three little ones, eating out for a good Indian is difficult but Almas Brasserie never fails with its array of authentic and reinvented dishes. As you’ve gathered, we always go for the lamb chops. As well as this we enjoy a mix. Most recently having had the chicken hariyali, lamb Balti, naan, rice and chips to dip into the delicious sauce, of course! All cooked perfectly, lamb was succulent and tender, chicken wasn’t over cooked and sauces are made with immense love. Not one curry sauce for all, each with its individual spices and bases, the colour of these curries is something else. Actually appetising, reminds me of my Mother’s cooking! The attention to detail spanning from sundries, to curry to salads is phenomenal. Everything just tastes so so so good. Believe me, when a take away can taste this good, it’s only come in my husbands car nothing special - I cannot imagine how amazing it would taste when eating in. A visit is much due. I went to Almas with a friend early one evening during the week. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm and friendly welcome by the staff there. The food was exceptionally good (as was the quality of the wine!). The staff were very knowledgeable about the food and wine options which was a great help. The brasserie was very clean and we both felt very safely distanced from other customers whilst we we were there. There was a lovely 'buzz' about the place too. I would highly recommend this venue and will certainly be returning in the near future!

A very quiet Tuesday on the 1st June and we were looking forward to our first sit-down Indian restaurant meal for over a year. A slight hiccup when we noticed that the website stated that the restaurant was not yet open on Tuesdays but a quick phone call put that right (just a slight lag on the web maintenance). The menu was extensive, even if we were unfamiliar with some of the dishes. The staff were very helpful in explaining what was what and recommended what would be best to accompany our choices. The food itself was delicious (I’d particularly recommend choosing the Peshwari rice whatever main you decide upon). My wife would recommend the excellent Peacock cider no matter what you choose to eat. Thanks for a lovely meal.

After more than forty five years Mr Ali Udin , ( Richard ) has fed me the best Indian food you can imagine ,still today he and his team are maintaining that High standard. Meal tonight was excellently tasted beautifully served in the cleanest smartest restaurant I ever saw.

Tomé algunos popadoms con una selección de salsas, un sabroso entrante y un delicioso plato principal. El ambiente es relajante y el personal es excelente. Para reiterar, Almas Indian Brasserie es el mejor restaurante indio cerca de mí y, con mucho, el mejor restaurante indio para llevar que he probado en mucho tiempo.

Después de que nuestro hijo obtuviera sus resultados de nivel A hoy, decidió que quería un curry. Visitamos Almas hace unos meses para sentarnos y fue fabuloso. Esta noche ordené una comida para llevar no por motivos de Covid, sino solo para relajarme después de una semana llena de estrés. La comida era increíble de nuevo y no me puedo quejar del servicio. El personal y el propietario son muy amables y serviciales. ¡Volveremos para comer en algún momento en el futuro y no puedo esperar para pedir una comida excelente nuevamente! Muchas gracias.

Extrañamos tanto a Alma's mientras estuvo cerrado debido a Covid - 19, así que estaba feliz cuando comenzaron a entregar. La comida de esta noche se entregó con prontitud y estaba caliente, fresca y tenía la cantidad justa de especias para nosotros. Definitivamente volveremos a ordenar pronto.

This has got to be the best Indian I have ever tasted and I have eaten in many restaurants.The staff are absolutely brilliant SO FRIENDLY!!!!!! The manger or his son greets us every time at the door asking how our family is without fail.Five star experience everytime.

The last few meals have been less than their previous standard. They are a friendly bunch and it is a good location.

Lo pasé muy bien con mi esposa y mis amigos aquí. Fuimos recibidos calurosamente cuando entramos y muy rápidamente tuvimos bebidas en nuestras manos mientras esperábamos a que llegaran nuestros amigos (Narinder siempre llega tarde).Compartimos un plato mixto de cebolla bhaji, pakora, samosa y pollo tandoori, ¡por lo que casi estábamos luchando! Ali fue el anfitrión perfecto y recomendó la pierna de cordero. Esto fue muy sabroso y se cayó del hueso. Mejulie tenía el pollo tikka masala que no pudo terminar, así que tuve que ayudarla y ¡también estaba delicioso! Todos los demás realmente disfrutaron de su comida y el ambiente animado y cálido del lugar proporcionó un excelente ambiente para una comida agradable.Sin duda lo recomendaría y volveremos pronto!

Mi novia y yo visitamos el Alma, nunca más. La comida es muy sosa y servicio a la par. Pedimos el sag de cordero y el pollo jalfrezi, con tarka daal y col junto con un paratha relleno. Sin excepción, la comida era sosa y sin sabor sin chile en absoluto. Sin sal en absoluto. Los poppadoms eran aceptables y comimos algo de cordero, el resto lo dejamos. El camarero preguntó si todo estaba bien y cuando le respondí que la comida era inaceptable, él pareció sorprendido. En lugar de disculparse, nos dijo que ayer tenía 30 portadas y que nadie se quejó. ! ! He comido en muchos restaurantes indios (bangladesíes) en todo el mundo y en algunos en Dubai la semana pasada, The Alma, sin duda, es el peor. La mala calidad de la comida se corresponde con el terrible servicio y la mala actitud. El camarero dijo que solo deberíamos pagar lo que queríamos, así que dijimos que pagaremos las dos cervezas y los poppadoms. Luego regresó con la factura dándonos un descuento del 50%. De nuevo no es aceptable. Le pedí una nueva factura que se negó a dar. Un segundo camarero se involucró mostrando un comportamiento amenazante pidiéndonos que nos fuéramos. We have been to Alma’s a couple of times in the last few months. The menu is extensive and has several different dishes than your usual Indian restaurant. The food is quite frankly out of this world it’s tasty and there’s plenty of it. Staff very friendly we will be back

Superb Indian restaurant & takeaway, visited here many times, always great food & service, what else do you need? If you have that Indian special that you like, just ask they will prepare it for you. Definitely worth a visit.
