Jaflong Tandoori in Richmond upon Thames

Seriously flavoursome and well made food, with friendly staff. So happy they’re here in Ham. Love the Naga lamb, honestly wouldn’t say it’s EXTREMELY hot but med-hot but it’s tangy, rich and delicious. The parathas are crispy edged, velvety middle, occasional salt flake, moreish af. Bindhi bhaji comes without sauce but fried with garlic and better for it. Only a few tables and I’d stay to eat if the lighting was a little less bright, but for a takeaway curry, second to none in Richmond.

The best Currys around. I have ordered from jaflong quite a few times , and everything has been exceptional every time. Food arrives hot,flavourful and clearly marked to avoid confusion. the dhansak and onion bhajis are person favourites, I cannot recommend Jaflong enough, truly the best food I have had this side of Nepal 👌

I have no bad comments to say about Jaflong I had a huge issue with Uber however Syed was amazing he really understood where I was coming from and he got the issue solved super quickly now I know don’t go through Uber and go through the website!! Thank you so much Syed

Greatest ever. I am a regular customer who has enjoyed Jaflong's fine cuisine for many year. Super friendly staff. They always pop in a few freebies in the recyclable paper bag, whether it be poppadoms, veg curry or a bonus dip

We received our food 30 mins late everything was tepid !!! Popadoms bendy!!! Dips watery. Puri doughy. Butter chicken VERY watery and very few pieces of chicken in the "soup". Terrible service. Terrible food .. we are done with you@

And on top of everything it's great value and extremely friendly service. Vegan options are clearly labelled as well which is always helpful.

Absolutely wonderful, easily the best I've ever tasted. We moved out of the area and are now bereft, despite having a Michelin star Indian locally. I now regularly transport Jaflong's food to Newcastle. Don't worry about what to choose....everything is delicious and clearly freshly-cooked. Yet again Sahid and his team have proved they are the best take away ever. We ordered a lot of food and we didn’t have to wait long for it to arrive. It arrived hot and the quality was amazing. Light fluffy rice. Fresh vegetables. Large pieces of good quality meat. The owner himself who is an amazing man delivered the food himself which is a lovely personal touch. It was great to see him. I can’t recommend Jaflong enough. It’s fabulous.

We ordered takeaway for a family birthday treat for five adults. All the dishes were delicious especially the paneer tikka masala. Delivery service was also great. Highly recommended.

We were welcomed and seated, just coming in from the street. The restaurant itself is very small and simple, but table and seats were all good. Not one of us had any complaints about the food. They kept our drinks cold (you can bring your own wine and beer). A very friendly atmosphere where any request was taken care of. Will definitely come again.

What an amazing experience. We ordered a banquet for a work function. The food arrived hot on time presented in the most beautiful pots and there was plenty of it. There was enough food for staff to have seconds. The food itself was incredible and all the staff loved it. It’s always a risk ordering food for work functions. Had large takeaway order. Delivered hot and on time. The best Indian take away we have found. You can the food has been freshly prepared with good ingredients and care.

Ordered online for delivery last night. It arrived hot. The food was ok. Certainly not a wow factor though. The prawn purée was quite good but the pancake was way too thick which made it taste very dough like,. The onion Bhaji’s were like rocks though which were difficult to eat. The chicken vindaloo had an ok taste but seriously lacking in heat. Normally a vindaloo should blow your head off but heat wise it was more like a mild madras. The tikka Massalla was on the bland side but ok. Mushroom rice was good. The keema naan had one bit of meat in it and the peshwari naan was good though, Not the worst curry I have had but deffo not the best by a long way

My wife has always told me about the curry in London. During our trip, after a long search, we managed to find what we think is the best curry we've ever had. I hope to be back soon to eat it again

Always polite and courteous, lovely fresh high quality food, reliable service and always very happy to help. Other similar local takeaways could take a leaf out of their book on how to effectively run a business and treat customers because being treated respectfully makes a big difference and these guys tick all those boxes.

Jaflong has been my go to Indian take away for 3 years now. Their chicken tikka masala is unbeaten and they’re very good at delivering hot food very quickly.

The good is delicious, tge staff always friendly and helpful. I ordered before and realy enjoy it now is one of my favourite restaurants.

Very tasty Indian meal. The chicken curry was tender and with the right amount of sauce and the biryani very good. Lovely paratha, the best I’ve ever had so far. Christopher was brilliant in getting in touch for the delivery details and everything went well.

First (delivery) order as our usual was closed over Christmas. Some dishes nice, portions generally good and pops fresh and spot on. Lamb pasanda was fatty and not good however. Decent value for money but will stick with Racing Rajah for now.

These guys know their way around spice, seriously. I am a self-avowed curry nut and regularly order hotter dishes from menus, Jaflong's Naga Chicken is incredibly hot, but every single flavour shines through their dish, perfectly distinguishable despite the intense heat! We've ordered from here in excess of 15 times, and they have been consistently amazing with decent delivery times, personal service and careful consideration of dietary requirements. Bravo Jaflong, keep it up!

The menu was excellent, delivery by the wonderful Christopher prompt and delightful, and the food just off-the-charts good, I am no fan of takeaways and this one has changed my mind. The starters were excellent, my prawn puri very tasty - the food was all clearly fresh and much less oily than our usual place (which is good for my digestion!). I'd ask them next time to give the Dhansak a bit more of a kick as it was quite mild (tasted somewhat Nepalese, in my less-than-expert opinion) - overall very good.

It's difficult for me to put into words how good Jaflong is and how much they mean to my partner and me. We moved to the area around three years ago and since then have ordered from them almost every week, sometimes twice a week. We order from them when something good happens to celebrate, when something bad happens to cheer us up, and we order when we just feel like it. I've been a curry fan all my life, but my partner spent the first 30 years of her life not even liking curry until she tried Jaflong and they converted her. They're that good. The food is ALWAYS delicious (sometimes you find Indian takeaways that have off days, but Jaflong don't), it always seems to arrive early and as hot as if it just came out the oven. I like my curry very spicy and usually order a vindaloo - this dish is something so many curry houses get wrong, it's usually either far too tame so as to be unsatisfying, or 'blow-your-head-off-and-regret-it-for-a-week-basically-just-chilli-powder-and-vinegar' insanely hot. Jaflong get it just right, lots of flavour and plenty of heat - but not too much (if you want it even hotter they'll do you a phaal). The naan breads are the best I've ever had (and I'm always amazed at how hot they arrive) and the onion bhaji's have just the right amount of crispiness. My partner is a vegetarian and loves a Madras, at other places the veggies often come soggy but, again, Jaflong get it just right. I've ordered from every sort of Indian restaurant imaginable over the years, from tiny street food stalls to Michelin standard restaurants in central London and, for traditional British-Indian style dishes, I honestly can't think of anywhere better, at any price. The delivery drivers are always polite and courteous. Of the many many times we have ordered from them, only once has anything ever gone wrong - some poppadoms were missing from our order but they came back with them so quickly it was like they'd teleported here. I haven't met the owners (I don't think), but I get the impression it's a family business that really cares about its customers. They sent us some sweets at Christmas and exchanged a nice note when lockdown kicked in last year and they closed for a week or two. It's a real privilege to share a community with a small family business that cares about its service and customers that way. So bravo, Jaflong. Keep up the good work.

Hardly any chicken, sauce tasteless and watery, phoned to complain, so called manager returned a call, and said I really dont care to be honest do you get me, did you take photos, send them to me. We suggested they come and collect the food for a refund as we would not be eating it and the answer was I with numerous swear words included I have provided you with £70 worth of food and I counted the amount of pieces in every dish myself before it was delivered, we have been extremely busy. No we have paid for over £70 of food and are not satisfied. Absolutely terrible service and mannerisms from the manager, we will be taking it further as we have recorded the telephone call we received. Disgusting

Superb, tasty food with brilliant service. The pick-up service is always quick (usually ready to collect within 35 minutes) and we have never been left waiting. Great flavours, not at all greasy or stodgy. The best in the area.

Ordered from here tonight after seeing so many good reviews, let’s just say we were extremely disappointed. First of all, our food took almost 2 and a half hours to arrive. Second, when we called up the restaurant to enquire about our food the man on the phone was extremely rude and abrupt. Thirdly, when the food arrived it was cold and the nan bread (which was supposed to be garlic, but didn’t taste of anything) was completely burnt and unpleasant. The curries themselves were also really disappointing. Maybe tonight was a bad night, but in my opinion there is still not excuse for rude customer service and for that reason we will not be returning!

Ordered the 'Masala Chips', and was sent bland soggy fries with a few chilli flakes on top - no masala what so ever! Would definitely recommend not getting this. Also ordered the tarkaa daal - was very mediocre - lentils were still hard, and not soft like they should be. Very disappointed, will not be ordering again.

Best samosas I have ever had from a Indian takeaway. They are always happy to accommodate your request, whether you want extra chilies or less mild if needed. I would highly recommend anyone who is looking for an Indian takeaway in the area to try them out.

We ordered a meal today to be delivered. Great on the phone, it was on time, and the food was very good. Highly recommended. Mix platter for starter, chicken and king prawn for main, two side veg, nan & rice. All for £44 including the delivery.

Moved to Ham recently, and absolutely delighted to have this phenomenal curry house pretty much next door to me. Their Naga Chilli Chicken is out of this world, seriously hot but a perfect balance of flavours so you can easily taste the spices through the intense heat. I'd also highly rate their tandoor-cooked Paneer Shashlik, and their Chicken Phall. Stupidly delicious!

Jaflong’s food is hands down the best in the area! Whenever we order Indian, this is the only place we will eat, tried and tested. Although our meal was slightly delayed, we wouldn’t order from anywhere else. I can only imagine the pressure they were under as it looks like everyone chose to end the year with a Jaflong meal! Ordered at 7pm, food delivered gone 11pm. Numerous calls to clarify where order was, "driver had it" for 1.5hours apparently, only to find out they hadn't even made it. Would not recommend.

Placed an order at 7pm using Uber Eats due in at 8.40pm. Called to have an update on order at 9.30 and 10 and was told it was already on route. Called again at 10.30 to find it wasn't even cooked yet. 3.5hrs from placing the order.

Every Christmas Eve we get a takeaway, this year we did it a day earlier, and as usual the food from Jaflong was amazing. It was the first time my partner has had their food and he can’t stop raving about it. 😃 The staff at Jaflong have been outstanding throughout the year. Nicely cooked, very good delivery (was slightly late, but very apologetic and food was warm, so no resentment). If you think that all take away are the same. It might be, but this one was very nice, not too oily or over salted. Just as what you expect from any very well known and many times tried dish. No disappointment in my case. Just lovely, nicely cooked dishes. No wonder they survive this very difficult year as they do deliver a very good food.

Jafflong is amazing . I’ve had so many Tikka Masalas over many years and Jafflong’s is by far the best. None of that bright red Sloppy sauce!! It’s creamy and fragrant with texture gently spiced. I’ll never go anywhere else . Great staff too. I’ll never go anywhere else ... I’m hooked 😊

Just ordered take away from Jaflong on UberEats. Nicely presented however missing flavour from all the dishes. Only could taste the meat. The mint sauce was also watered down. Not really for the Indian pallet, maybe due to the locals, the food is very lightly spiced and A little bland. A polite honest review.

Just found my new favourite curry house! Used jafflong last Saturday on recommendation from our friends in ham.chicken madras not scorching,and best of all not oily.chicken dhansak and chicken tikka masala nice and fresh.plus delivered early! 10/10 going to repeat this weekend.

Waited 2 hours for the food from when I first placed the order, when I spoke to the lovely lady on the phone she explained how busy they were (maybe update waiting/delivery time so customers know). The food was okay, the peshwari naan was cold and overstuffed with coconut. The rice seemed like normal basmati rice not pilau rice (which is what I ordered).
