Very quiet when we dined here so any ambience was lacking. The service was fine and our dahi puri starters were light, refreshing and tasty. The peshawari naan was also very good. However our mains were less good. Our chicken tikka masala was a small portion with some quite gristly pieces of chicken. Likewise, the hot and tangy prawns consisted mostly of sauce which didn't taste particularly good. Will probably not return.

Dinner was absolutely delicious! We were visiting from the states and this was our first dinner here and it blew us away.

Very friendly & welcoming staff. Delicious meal and incredibly authentic. Masala (salty) lassi was just like India. The chef even shared some of his kitchen secrets with us! Highly recommended for a great Indian meal.

We hugely enjoyed another great meal at Red Koyla. Distinctive and delicious flavours in all our dishes, yet lighter and less oily than standard Indian fare in the Uk. Some different dishes, the menu is not too big which is usually a good sign. Definitely a cut above flavours. Price point for mains and sides is very reasonable and excellent relative to the high quality food. I would definitely eat there again.

Indian is my favorite food. I’ve eaten at hundreds of different Indian restaurants all over the world and I think this is the best Indian meal I’ve ever had! Not your typical British korma/rogan josh/madras/vindaloo menu but an innovative selection of dishes. Food was incredibly flavorful with just the right amount of heat (we did request the spice levels to be increased from the menu spice guide). Sad I don’t live closer to this place as all Indian meals in future will be compared to last nights meal.

We are fortunate to be so near a restaurant with such a gifted chef. His cooking is beyond criticism. The waiting staff are charming and efficient. Teddington has more than its fair share of of bland, overpriced 'Chains'. Red Koyla, Ryba, Piazza Firenze and Imperial China are the only restaurants in Teddington with any culinary integrity.

Tasty and innovative Indian cuisine. Well worth ordering a starter, they offer options ranging from rabbit to squid. There are also several good vegetable options. Takeaway is available.

We love the food here. My son is so particular and the chef is so accommodating. We loved the lentil Dahl, chickpea dish, the salmon and the chicken tikka. Then as a surprise they presented my husband with a complimentary cake and it was so sweet. We had a lovely time.

Came here with my family for a father's day meal and the food was absolutely perfect! My dad is a fussy eater and on the way to the restaurant he proclaimed that he didn't like Indian food but by the end of the meal he was calling the chef from out of the kitchen to get into our family photo! Everything tasted fresh and was seasoned perfectly, this is not your typical curry house. My personal favourites were the calamari and prawn starters, for my main I had a spicy chicken curry (sorry, I forget the name), it had 3 chillies next to it on the menu but me being African asked to make it extra spicy because I didn't believe it would truly be. I was told that they serve it as is because they didn't want to ruin the flavour but I was not disappointed at all as it really was a spicy as it promised to be. Would definitely come back again!

We have travelled extensively in India and have struggled to fins a local restaurant that serves proper Indian food. This is it ! Beautifully flavoured and cooked to perfection. If you are looking for a 'curry house' with an extensive. anglicised menu this probably isn't for you. If you value a smaller menu, with high quality ingredients cooked in an authenric manner you will love this place. We couldn't fault it. Excellent value for money and excellent food.

Great food- slightly different options on menu to your more traditional local indian restaurant . . We chose a variety of starters to share rather than chosing off the main courses menu. All the starters we had were excellent , particularly enjoyed the soft shell crab . We had a delivery and can't comment on atmosphere of the restaurant itself . Delivery was fast and friendly .

Best among all Indian restaurants. Chef kureshi is very innovative. All the dishes are cooked fresh and have very delicate flavours. Their lamb chops and squid fry are worth ordering again and again. Will definitely try their other dishes.

The food here is incredible - lovely flavours, no curry tasted the same, breads were gorgeous. The service was efficient and friendly, and when we asked about a flavour in the chicken (Murgh Jalali - delicious!), the chef spoke to us passionately about the flavours and ingredients. The food at Red Koyla is an absolute delight. We had a family celebration last night and everyone thought the dishes were exceptional. Thanks to Chef and staff for their efforts. As far as recommending any one dish, that’s hard, as we enjoyed several different ones, but I think the dahi puri make a heavenly start.

Really inventive and delicious dishes. You could tell that they were individually cooked rather than served with a pre-prepared sauce. Excellent service and lovely atmosphere. As good as Indian cuisine gets for me. We will be back!

Nice food but it’s very expensive and the portions are small (price per portion is also low). The lady gave us some wrong answers about the dishes which misled us - she said there were 4 pieces of chicken but there were 2. And a few other things. The head chef was very nice and came out to chat. The artichoke dish was nice and creative. Meat dishes were all good.

This is a really fabulous, small, local Indian restaurant that is not afraid to go its own way in delivering the UK's favourite meal out. And it really does not disappoint. We had a really lovely dinner - deep, fresh flavours, with a bit of spice served by a charming waiter and cooked by a chef who cared enough to come out from the kitchen to check that we had enjoyed it. Brilliant!

The food was very good, imaginative, interesting flavours and excellent ingredients, the chef came and said hello. There was some confusion as our starter arrived long before the rest of the party and one of the sides for our main dish arrived after we almost finished our mains, one memeber off the waiting team was a little inexperienced. It was a cold night and the venue was cold when we arrived. I will pop in again.

I just finished eating my order from Red Koyla and I have to say it’s the best Indian takeaway I’ve had that delivers to Surbiton. The food was excellent quality, with depth of flavour and distinct textures and ingredients (as opposed to generic ‘meat and sauce’ curries you get elsewhere) I had the Bhajia and Murgh Jalali with pilau rice, naan and cucumber pomegranate raita. All of them were excellent. Delivery time was reasonable for the day of week and distance, and ordering from the website was pretty straightforward. Prices were comparable to others in the area and so fine from my point of view. I also appreciated that the delivery person read my note on the order - often these notes with other places get ignored.

Probably best Indian restaurant in Teddington and twickenham area - taste is authentic with incredible really freshly prepared starters - compared to most restaurants where they are frozen. Curries are super delicious and the spice is perfect. They serve old monk rum which is the definition of authentic Indian . It’s easy to drive past this place but it’s worth entering for the amazing taste.

I will be speaking by my heart and by my stomach😊... I visited Red Koyla with family for dine in and I must say I am delighted. We ordered Dahi Poori, lamb kabab, chicken Jalali and Lamb Hyderabadi Qeema and few non alcoholic drinks. I was amazed to see how uniquely these items were decorated and presented. It was a 5 start way of food presentation but don’t let the appearances fool you. The aroma was also equally pleasant and taste was from another words. I have never experienced this quality of Indian food in London and across Europe. From appearance to texture, from aroma to taste, from friendly atmosphere to ambience, everything was superb. Prices are a bit surprising and I am damn sure one can not get this kind of lavish food at this efficient pricing. Totally totally less for five start quality of food. I was not only focusing on my food but was scanning other tables too and making my list of food for the next visit. I must say I have to come here again to taste so many other dishes like lamb chop and Biryani. Last but not the least I would like to thanks chef Mr Naseem and Manager Mr Rohan for such a nice hospitality. Keep it up this high standard Guys! 👍❤️
