Jade House in Worthing

Can’t understand why people would say food was terrible from here..? Are they just competitors or genuine people. Travel a long way to get a Chinese meal from here and have always found it excellent. The portions are always to the brim and flavours spot on. Ignore all the questions about this place and find out for yourself. Well worth a visit.

This was probably the worst takeaway I have ever had. We ended up throwing it all the bin. To say it was bland was an understatement. Would definitely not go back or recommend.

Been looking for a good Chinese takeaway that delivers in Worthing for a while. Must say that have used them twice now and both times food has been very good, delivered on time and hot. Highly recommended.

Normally the food from here is lovely but unfortunately tonight it arrived completely stone cold. The prices seem to have gone up since we last ordered so we spent quite a bit of money as it’s our favourite take away. My son left most of his. The crispy beef was very salty today and didn’t have the normal chewy texture.

We were a little worried ordering from here based on other reviews but were pleasantly impressed. The good was great, satay chicken skewers were especially good. It was well priced and good portion sizes. Delivery did seem a little slow as we live near by but overall we were happy with our meal.

Diabolical services....... I hope to god they go bust..... I have never had such atrocious service Disgusted

Ordered through Just Eat as usual takeaway was closed. Delivery took 2hrs, food was cold, soggy when should be crispy, dry when should have sauce, rest was swimming in oil or water (not sure which as went straight in the bin). Never again!

Ordered chow mein and bean sprouts. No bean sprouts in the dish. Fried rice same colour as plain boiled rice. Vegetables e in the chicken and vegetables undercooked. All in all a bland takeaway meal not worth the £23+ They wouldn’t even substitute prawns for tofu...even though tofu was in another dish. I will never return.

This was one of the worst takeaway experiences of my life. First my food was over an hour late. Finally, after 2 hours and 20 minutes the door bell went, and there to greet me was a very rude lady! She demanded my money, and I handed her a £20 note, expecting the change. But she refused to hand it over, and stormed off, swearing at me as she went! As I took my food inside in shock, I realised that it was cold! I immediately telephoned the restaurant, but as soon as I politely introduced myself, I heard the words “f— off”, and the phone went down! I was now in double shock. Why treat a customer so appallingly? I thought perhaps I should just reheat my food in the microwave, and settle down to my Netflix marathon. The food wasn’t the nicest Chinese food I had ever tasted, but it was ok. Result! Not worth £20, but but worth the £12.40 I should have paid. Then I fell asleep. But then I woke up violently throwing up, and soon afterwards I had the most terrible diarrhoea. I hadn’t eaten or drunk anything else! So my rip-off £20 Chinese made me ill! I reheated it for 1 minute, as it was stone cold. Surely that didn’t make me ill? The restaurant told me to f— off and hung up on me when I telephoned I them to calmly and politely explain the situation! I strongly advise anybody wanting Chinese food to avoid this establishment at all costs, and to order from any Chinese restaurant but this one. DO NOT TAKE THE RISK. Stay safe and free from abuse this New Year, and avoid Jade House is my advice.

Nice takeaway food always hot and tasty and not a long wait time. The only issue is they only take cash. I’m sure they would be busier if they took cards. Maybe not a bad thing, although it would be more convenient than having to walk down to McColls ship to get some cash out.

Read to the end! Spoke to someone coming out and they gave it a thumbs up we decided to try Jade House. In fact we booked through Just Eat to have it delivered. Placed order 18.50 & given a delivery time of 19.50, which time came and went. Have them 15’ grace then phoned; struck out twice then got through on third and told “very busy” (it was the bank holiday Monday) and finally that it would be ten minutes & sure enough it was. Got an apology at the door. So, how was it? Very good! We were all pleasantly surprised after the late delivery as we thought it would either be cold or just rushed. None of that! Starter for two was good, my duck with preserved ginger and pineapple hit the spot and the satay chicken & duck with plum sauce was also given the thumbs up by wife and daughter. So, delivery time, not so good, but the food, loved it. Will be using again although think about placing order over the counter instead!

Ordering our usual is always a bit complicated getting the right thing but nevertheless the sweet and sour chicken is the best I've ever had! Highly recommend the chicken balls too!!

Really fancied a Chinese meal as a treat for my husband and I. Hadn't used this place before but it was available to online order. Got told the order would be ready at 8.10pm. Arrived at 8.08 to be told it would be at least another ten minutes. When I said that was later than expected the person behind the counter pointed to a clock set five minutes slow on the wall. I waited and was dispatched with my (expensive) and late meal. When I got home the seaweed had what ale pared to be pubic hair in it and the cucumber slices with the crispy duck were almost mouldy. I felt so ill i couldn't finish the meal so I took the hair and the cucumber back. Didn't even get so much as an apology let alone my money back. Absolute disgrace. Shouldn't be allowed to serve food.

Went to this takeaway friends recommended it over our usual takeaway what a big mistake spent 40 pounds for a load of crap,prawn ball never turned up just loads of horrible chicken balls,worst ever Chinese meal avoid all all costs,

I live nearby and this is such lovely chinese..great staff they are so polite and attentive ... food is always nice warm and tasty! I always come back!

The food is delicious and great service! BEST takeaway in Worthing! Food was fresh and love the price! Fair price and good quality of food! I love the Sweet and Sour Pork!!

He tenido dos experiencias malas en esta comida para llevar en 2 meses pasados debido a incompetente personal del mostrador. Hace varias semanas me llamó para una orden de entrega, una mujer contestó que lucharon entender el inglés. No pudo llevar a mi dirección de entrega, a pesar de que repetir claramente varias veces. Me di por vencido y se llama otra llevar.
