Where do I start been looking forward to crispy duck and barbecued ribs, my go to Chinese was closed due to holiday.Delivered on time then all down hill the duck was overcooked had a job shredding it had two rolls out of it rest inedible hoi sin sauce had separated as oil and water yuck not happy at this point started on the ribs they were like leather could not eat suspect they were old would not give to a dog.if this is what you send to customers don’t bother worse Chinese ever.

Have ordered from here before. Food is top notch. Especially the chicken chow mein. Super quick delivery. Not to be confused with Chinese place on chapel road!

As usual, the food was amazing. Definitely the best Chinese takeaway in Worthing. Delivery is always fast and the food is hot and very tasty. I'm never disappointed here.

Ordered from here for many years and the only time delivered late was New Year’s Eve. Order early if a special occasion like New Year and didn’t have the issue the year after. Food is always hot and although my dog is like a mad dog at the delivery driver he’s always friendly and food hot and is great

This was a take away which we have had before and it was okay this time pretty poor to say the least. The noodles were tasteless the crispy duck was crispy but black and dry. The sweat and sour pork so sweet and the meat overcooked and tough. I think all the food had been reheated many times - so will not be using again!!

Can only speak as we find. Been using this place for 20+ years. Food always arrives hot and well cooked. Usually delivered earlier than stated. Once or twice it’s arrived later than stated but that’s it. We love it.

Used this place for a number of years. Tonight after receiving the wrong order I called the store to be abused and shouted at by the owner through no fault of my own.my complaint however wasn’t rectified and then slammed the phone down on me. Disgusting behaviour and although the food is great I will never give this place my custom again due to the lack of help I’ve received. Not only disappointed but I’m not without any dinner this evening!

Such a shame this place gone downhill was really nice a few years ago but just ordered and the food was horrible the worst Chinese I had ! Maybe they lost there love Food was cold noodles was just nasty no flavour at all had to add soy to make it taste of something. Duck was nice that's about it prawn toast was horrible chicken ball greasy and cold and other food we had not great. Unfortunately won't be going back

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE! Would give 0 stars! On receipt of our order the pork chowmein had come freezing cold out of the fridge kind of cold with warm sections clearly reheated, as children were eating the chicken in the chicken balls was pink absolutely disgusting to risk food poisoning the public. On receipt of my husband returning it they only gave him 20 pound cash when the order was much much more than that absolutely atrocious will be reporting to food hygiene standards! Please save yourselves a nasty bout of sickness and go elsewhere

Sceptical having read reviews, but wanted to form my own opinion. Service was great, food was delicious, (big king prawns, duck perfect and no fat!) and prepared quickly. Will return.

I'm outside Fortune Inn at the moment, not realising that it's closed on a Monday, as almost everyother Chinese takeaway are around the goring area. But anyway, the large front window and door is filthy, can hardly see inside. If the kitchen is as dirty as the shop front, I'm keeping well away from this place.

Despite phoning ahead and being told of a 45 minute waiting time when we arrived to collect we had to wait a further 45 minutes in the shop. We reluctantly accepted that as it was really busy, but what was not acceptable was that we were overcharged on the menu prices and the food portions were smaller than ordered - and service was surly...overall, not a very happy customer...

The lamb black peppercorn dish we ordered came as beef instead. Phoned the takeaway about the error and they insisted it was lamb, that I was mistaken and refused to accept otherwise. We were overcharged. Disappointed and never ordering again.

Very disappointing...was once our favourite so had our first proper take away since Covid and got home with 4 cartons of over salty mush!!...

Will not do a meal for one when most Chinese takeaways in UK do. Very bad attitude, lost yourself a lot of money by not doing so...

I ordered a chicken curry and rice with a pancake roll last night. The curry was watery and the chicken was thinly sliced and looked ominous. The rice was ok, but again the pancake roll was full of grease and uneatable. I have spent the whole day today on the toilet as a result of a couple of mouthfuls of this disgusting food. I will never use them again. !!!!!

Sadly, myself and my family were incredibly disappointed. Not only did we wait over 2 hours from placing our order, but also when we called to ask about the lateness of it, we were told it was on its way and would be 10 minutes. Another 50 minutes later it arrived luke warm and missing my grandsons order!!. They sent his meal 40 minutes later with "an I'm sorry, bottle of coke" poor service . I couldn't eat mine when it arrived and neither could another of my grandsons. I was too wound up and he felt too sad/disappointed and too tired to eat his meal. I paid £70 and was hugely disappointed. I won't be using this business again

My family and I regularly get takeaway food from here. The quality of the food is excellent and is always ready when they say that it will be. They do the best Mongolian lamb and their mandarin ribs are also lovely. Can't recommend highly enough

Been using this take away for some time. Ordered chicken satay Friday. Truly veloting. Fatty and soggy. Fried noodles had a curry taste, not what you would expect from Chinese. Sadly not going back.

I was extremely disappointed with all the dishes ordered. The mixed starters were tainted by the taste of over-used cooking oil & the prawn toast was overcooked. The lamb pad Thai was so overcooked it had turned to mush & the lamb were chewy lumps of gristle.

One word , revolting! Duck full of bones , stake prawn crackers , no rice , horrible chicken ; delivered rice hour later which was grey and yuk , never again

Ordered the first Saturday of Lock down as a bit of a treat. Always order from here and have done for the last 15 years and always tasty, hot, timely delivery and easy to order. We'll be back for more. Keep it up

I phoned up to place an order at the Fortune Inn ready prepared with what I wanted. I was asked for a name and whether I wanted to pick up or delivered and then what I wanted. I said 225 Pad Thai Chicken Noodles and she repeated Pad This Chicken so I repeated my order. She then said they did three Pad Thai’s and if I waited she was going to tell me about all three. I waited and when she was ready she asked for the next one. I slowly said 67 Kung Po Chilli Chicken. She then said that she fully understand what I was saying and I didn’t need to say it slowly. She sounding English, but by this time I’d decided to go to one of the other 2 locals so put the phone down. Didn’t get to the food, so no idea whether it’s any good, but based on the helpful attitude I’ll not be going back!

Delivery 30 minutes late . Order cold wrong no offer of refund . Smoked chicken rank . Thai curry sauce like water !

I used to be a regular and loyal customer fir many years. However it seems to have been taken over by a different family im recent times and food quality has plummeted. Food used to use quality ingredients and ve reasonably priced. Now prices have been creeping up while quality dropped. Last meal we had was badly cooked and increadibly greasy. Tried speaking to staff but they weren't interested so haven't been back since.

A family favourite for us. Have always gone here for our takeaways. We try other places but these seem to be the best.

Ordered our food and were told it would be 45 min for delivery which for a Saturday night was fine but after an hour I called to see what was happening to be told the driver had just left. No food after another half hour so called back to see where it was as I was getting concerned it would arrive cold and lady was really rude telling me to “just make up your mind do you want the food or not i said it was on its way” .i told her she was being really rude after all I’m just chasing my order.food arrived eventually cold and burnt chicken balls. Called to complain and she told another lady “ I can’t be arsed to talk to her here you sort her out” . No refund No apology ?No customer service just cold food and f#@£&*#g rude staff

Ordered a varied menu, some were new to us. Firstly it arrived an hour and twenty minutes after the order, they would not take card payments over the phone. The quality of the food was not up to what we have come to expect. We ordered duck and pancakes and it came without the sauce. Thought about calling, but did not want to wait another hour wile the food became cold. Might try another take away next time.

I placed an order at 5.30pm for collection. It was sitting bagged up and waiting for me when I got there at 5.40pm.....that should have told me something. The chicken chow mein was extremely dry, the "crispy" seaweed was chewy and soft, the chicken balls were luke warm and the shredded chilli beef was already concealed. I feel totally ripped off and also slightly sick at the thought of being served with warmed-up leftovers from the day before. Disgusting. I've been a customer of Fortune Inn for a long time but after this experience I won't be going back. Oh, and their card machine has been "broken" for a few months now so you have to pay in cash.....nice little bit of tax avoidance going on too IMHO.

Been going here for years. The food is ok, however today due to a 'new system' they tried to charge us over £3 for 'delivery' today. First time in 11 years. Explained this. No budging from the lady on the phone. No way. We tolerated now always charging £2 for prawn crackers which always use to be free. Well done you've lost a bi weekly customer that always spent £20-30 minimum.

Fantastic food and value. Was only a drop in for buffet. But the buffet was al a carte all you can eat.

Absolutely appauld by there customer service food was shambolic rang and asked for an immediate return of the food. As it was so poorly cooked some was inedible due to the severe dryness of it. Was then asked to come in and drop the food if i wanted a refund or wait 1hour and a half for it to be returned absolutely suggest you avoid this place

Had a delicious Takeaway this evening...decided to try the Mou Shu......with Duck...it was absolutely delicious and would definitely have it again......I would have given it 5 points but unfortunately they forgot my Pancakes.....( I hadn't noticed as I had Spring Rolls).....I rang to advise I had thoroughly enjoyed my meal but you forgot my Pancakes.....the lady was very nice and offered to send me some round...I told her I would have extra ones on Friday when I make another order........

DO NOT !!! EVER go to this take away! the food made me feel sick it tasted off! When I called to explain the lady put the phone down on my calls I then turned up to say I want a refund or replacement she refused and started shouting and rowing with me saying no ! I wasted my money and had no food ! THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES I HOPE THEY GET SHUT DOWN I had to go out in the cold left my kids at home it took over and hour to arrive also Never known a company to argue with customers! Disgraceful!!!!

We had decided to go for a Chinese, and chose the fortune inn due to good service before. When we walked in we were service straight away. Staff could be a bit more smiley and welcoming but all in all it was good service. Food was good for the price but some dishes were a tad bland. But Will happily return again.

Ordered delivery on a Monday evening. Food is good but it is a bit of a wait for the delivery. I guess they're busy but maybe should try to get additional delivery drivers.

For all the wrong reasons. We ordered a takeaway which we were told would be delivered within 40 minutes after 50 minutes we called to be told it was on its way..... it finally arrived around 1 hour after ordering. Only when we opened the bag did we realise it was completely the WRONG order, we quickly called to let them know only to be told they knew and our order had been delivered elsewhere, we did ask if it could be picked up and redelivered but this was not an option, after 20 minutes on the phone not getting anywhere (couldn't have another order as by this time it was getting late 10.30 pm) we were told we could keep the order we had been delivered - however it was inedible far too spicy, one of us is a vegetarian so there was nothing they could eat as it was a very meaty order in fact none of us ate very much at all and it went in the bin. They did finally after another phone call refund us but even so the customer service was truly appalling and I can honestly say I will NEVER NEVER use them again.

We live down the road from Fortune Inn and are regulars, excellent food and very good service. Always deliver the food earlier than they say it'll take. Wouldn't go anywhere else for a Chinese takeaway! :)

we had a meal last Friday after taking our dog to the vets it was a great Chinese very tasty and a good flavor the only thing that let it down was the chips they was very small and no flavor i would go back but no chips

Ordered for four from here, the girl who sounded very young (perhaps too young to be answering the phone) with no idea what she was talking about and was very rude for the start. We spent around £40 here and will not be spending another penny in there ever again. There was a miscommunication on one of the dishes. I rang up once received hoping for a replacement or some sort of compromise. I got nothing but rudeness and severe incompetence from the girl on the phone. The chips look liked God knows what, unsure of what sort of chips these are (only way to describe them, SLUGS), food was dry, sodden from condensation and completely ruined! I got absolutely no where when challenged, I was even charged for fortune cookies, considering the order amount I thought that was very cheeky! STEER CLEAR!!

I have been ordering takeaways from here for several years. Only ever had one problem with a very long delivery time. The food is consistently good. I have tried many Chinese takeaways and restaurants and in Worthing and return to the Fortune as being about the best. My advice is to collect to avoid delivery delays.

I always enjoy and love the food from Fortune Inn. It is a great place for nights in with friends and family. What's great about the place is that the value for money is fantastic, it is cheap and affordable. I'm quite a loyal customer and I order at least once every two weeks because their food is so yummy! Every time I order I spend at least £20 and if I have a party or a lot of friends over I order about £11. The service is really good, but sometimes there is a bit of attitude coming from a man in the shop, but nevertheless the service is good.What I dislike about the place is that the food takes a long time if it's a busy day, especially on Fridays and Saturdays, but when it is a weekday it tends to take up to 20 minutes, which is pretty fast. I would definitely highly recommend this place for a night in or party, there food is just amazing. If you haven't tried this place you have to!

Terrible burnt tasting chow mein, awful cheesy smelling terrible tasting frozen budget fries (not chips) smallest portion of chicken in batter... and to top it off at a high price that takes over an hour to deliver.. Not a good experience.

We have used this takeaway many times before and have always enjoyed the food, until very recently when on Friday night after eating our food (duck and pancakes) we became violently sick and Ill. We went back to the Fortune Inn today (Sunday) to complain and ask for a refund and were told by a lady that as 48hrs had passed, we couldn't have a refund, but she would give us more duck if we wanted it!!! She failed to show any sympathy or apologise for the fact that we has been ill and just kept going on about how she couldn't refund everyone's money who came back to complain. Basically - tough luck, we are not interested!We are extremely disappointed - first of all why would we want more duck when the last one made us so ill - secondly we were loyal customers, often using the Fortune Inn for ourselves and often for our friends when they came round to our house.When things go wrong - how you treat your loyal customers to put things right is really important. Treat them badly and you've lost those loyal customers forever.Competition is fierce and quite frankly after the way we were treated this evening by the Fortune Inn - who clearly couldn't give two hoots that their food made us so I'll - we won't ever be using them again and strongly recommend that no-one else does either.

We had an excellent meal on Saturday evening. The waiter was great and was very helpful. They were very accommodating due to the fact we had a baby in a buggy plus two children and grandparents! The set menu was amazing and the choice of food outstanding. Would go back.

So I've been using the Fortune Inn in Goring for around a year. It's takeaway was good and fairly reliable. The delivery drivers were great and friendly. Over the year, I was a regular, sometimes having takeaway 2-3 times a week. Spending around £25 a time. Sad to say, in the last few occasions the quality has dropped dramatically. On more than one occasion, the containers holding the soup have split, meaning when I received them the soup was everywhere. Tonight, it was my partners birthday week and we decided to have a takeaway. We decided to give the Fortune Inn one more go. I ordered soup, chicken and a whole duck. The soup was bland, the chicken was dry and the whole duck had been minced. There was no meat visible and it was dry. I contacted the restaurant and the person on the phone was argumentative and rude. He started quibbling about when I had received the order (which was about an hour ago). I told him that it didn't matter - the duck had been chopped into crumbs. It did not look fresh - it looked like leftovers from the night before. I asked for a refund. Eventually, the person who had spoken to me on the phone appeared at my door and I handed him the duck. Without a word, he snatched it and started to inspect it in front of me, even though I had told him I hadn't touched it. He then got really nasty and started saying that I hadn't ordered duck from there before. I told him that actually I had, and was a regular customer. He started getting abusive and in the end I told him to leave. I am absolutely disgusted at the general attitude of the staff at this venue, and now their food is starting to match. I feel betrayed by the fact I've been a loyal customer for a year, spending easily a couple of thousand quid there. I would steer people clear from this place as there are so many better and more polite restaurants to eat from in the area

Just returned our third takeaway! The rude staff would not refund my money after the first order was not acceptable and inedible. Soggy batterer chicken and bland food. Horrible horrible food and staff, do not waste your money!!!!

We went for the all inclusive meal on Saturday evening. The restaurant was busy but we were offered good table. The restaurant was very clean and the staff were smartly dressed. The menu was extensive, giving us plenty to choose from. We found the starters to be very tasty and well presented. The main courses seemed to be in very thick sauces, which we found to be similar to a mass produced sauce. The service was very attentive but we really felt as though we in a fast food restaurant as we were constantly being asked have you chosen, have you finished etc.? Overall we found the evening to be value for money but not a memorable experience.

We usually end up here for my hubbies birthday, and we are never dissapointed, really good value for money with the all you can eat!
