Jade House in Taunton Deane

This place does the Best Chicken Chow Mein ever!! I love that it's not liquidy in the bottom like other places. One star lost only because other meals I've had from here have been a little more average, but still good!

Overpriced for the quality. The shredded beef was a bit overcooked, too thin and thus, rather chewy. The fried rice was under average. Overall chinese spices were missing.

This place is one of mine and my wife’s go toos for sure, the staff are lovely and patient plus the food is great

Sadly this wasn’t a great experience this evening, unfortunately we received the wrong order, I called to let them know and was met with “ Next time we get it right” 😳 I said that I would like to receive the order I placed this evening. They did eventually send the correct dish in the end, however our meal was ruined as we didn’t eat together. After spending nearly £40 on this takeaway you’d expect to receive the dishes you actually ordered. Also my partner has said the hot and sour soup was awful!

Worse Chinese Iv ever had. Had one last night delivered and was freezing cold made us all feel ill. Will never be ordering from these again and using south dragon house as turns up hot and delicious.

Black bean - not bad, but not enough to save the rest. Pad Thai - actually terrible, didn’t eat more than a mouthful, and I’m very stingy. Green Thai curry, ok Kung po - overflowing with endless onions, which are fine but not as a main ingredient. Special fried rice - think the rice was more stewed than fried? Either that or completely and utterly saturated in oil. I never throw away takeaway. About half of this is inedible, definitely not coming back.

I ordered The King Prawn Thai Green curry! Aswell as the Singapore rice noodles One of the best Combos if not the best I’ve ever tried! The family that work there are always so lovely and welcoming:) would definitely recommend !! Xx

First time trying Jade House, as we've just moved to Taunton. Nicest Chinese we've had for some time. Delivery was quick, lady delivering was very pleasant and the food was piping hot. Would highly recommend.

We were staying locally as a family - we placed our order using the extremely easy to use app, chose collection as we could collect within 20 minutes whereas delivery whilst possible was an hour. Arrived slightly early but in no time at all our order was ready. Very generous portions - rice & chips very large portions….. being a fish & chip shop also the chips were lovely. Had multiple dishes all of which were really good

Always fantastic food hot & delicious and loads of tasty Chinese food to choose from , including good old fish & chips and other traditional chip shop food. Had a fish & chip supper tonight from Jade House in Taunton and can I say it was brilliant,tasty & hot and loads of lovely hot chips & thick fillet of battered cod also the service fantastic, very friendly and very clean & tidy inside & outside and have home delivery service to ,which is one of the cheapest delivery charges in Taunton Town. All in All a great experience through out my purchase from Jade House. Will be trying their Chinese food dishes on Saturday evening, over 200 dishes on their take away menu ,can’t wait Kindest regards PW

We always order from them whenever we crave for Chinese takeaway. Food is delicious and consistent and always on time. Staff are polite and friendly. They have mistakenly sent a wrong dish once, we called them up and they promptly changed it. They even let us keep the other dish for free! Good customer service

Found this little gem, not far from us (less than a mile) and placed an order for delivery. Able to pay for it over the phone. Food arrived faster than their estimate, steaming hot still, and securely placed in the bag (no leaks!). Wonderful dishes, beautifully cooked, large portions, but above all the flavours were incredible. Chicken Foo Yung was gorgeous, and I'm not a great lover of eggs😂! Chow mein, salt and pepper chips, beef in black bean sauce, and sweet and sour chicken balls were lovely. Free bag of prawn crackers. Woman on the phone was great fun, polite and helpful. Excellent command of English. Definitely ordering from here again, and can't wait to try another dish.

To be honest it’s a solid 4 stars but reading the 2 poor reviews an average of 3 stars is really unfair. One person had to wait 20min# which I think is normal….. it also shows they’re frying the fish fresh. The Chinese meals themselves are lovely. Usually go for a sweet n sour, Christy beef, chow mien etc and they’re all really nice. The starter of mixed d’oeuvres is also really good. They also do fish n chips which are well priced. Not huge portions of fish but a good decent size. Chip portions are big. Staff always seem nice and friendly and working hard. I always get free crackers too when ordering a few dishes. Always collect so can’t comment on delivery service

Another tasty meal from the lovely Jade House , ignore the negative comments on here, everyone expects a 5☆ take away but I will tell you its very tasty and alot for your money I would recommend this little family run Chinese to anyone 👍

Our favourite Chinese Takeaway. Their food is always delicious and the portions generous at a fair price.

We have been coming here for 15 years but used it two or three times during last couple of months and really has declined. Tonight I had " Mixed Duck and Pork" which used to be just that in a flavoursome sauce. Now for the second time recently it was only two thirds meat with one third beansprouts in a sloppy, watery and tasteless sauce. Also used to do excellent Pad Thai but again now it is a poor imitation of it's former self Hopefully may change management again and improve but we won't be using again in foreseeable.

Chips were a bit pale needed to be more golden .Fish was tasty and batter was crispy.

Beef curry comprised some chopped up old shoe leather in a watery green liquid, some onion skins and slices of raw carrot, totally inedible, will NEVER visit this takeaway again.

Pretty good. Certainly the best of the Chinese locally. Good size portions, reasonable prices and service is usually pretty quick.

Great flavours and Service. We are regulars and have only had excellent fresh cooked food delivered from Jade House. We ordered from them 3 days ago and the meal was outstanding, hot and tasty.

Amazing quality food, this is one of the only restaurants in Taunton that are more than happy to cater for coeliacs and doesn’t get it wrong! I’ve visited here many times and they’re always friendly and helpful, and happy to do the odd request :) Highly recommended!

I waited 1 hour and 20 minutes for food to receive a broken piece of fish and it wasn't even a whole piece and it had a couple of chips chucked in when it was supposed to be a piece of fish on it's own.. Very disappointed and I won't be ordering from here again. Just wish I could post the pictures on here

To night I had fried beef & tomatoes with boiled rice. Usually this dish is very tasty & tangy with lots of tomatrie sauce made with tomatoe and juices. Tonight hardly any sauce far to many carrots had been added and no tangy juice tomatoe sauce. Very dry and bland. Come on Jade House at £8.30 this should be alot better!! What's happened to the chef. Change management and cooks back😖😖

I had to wait 20 mins for cod and chips, could smell burning, hear the microwave going, will cycle next time for quicker service

Friggin love the food at this place, everything I have tried so far has been gorgeous, the staff are great, the portion of fish and chips are HUGE, the curry is delicious the beef lovely and tender, the sweet and sour chicken has just the right amount of batter, everything is fresh and cooked perfectly, the pinapple fritters are lovely and fluffy but could do with a bit more syrup, when we've orderd a delivery we had to wait a long time, but its well worth it, this is without doubt my favourite takeaway joint so far.

I had haddock and chips Thursday, it was awful, soggy batter, fish not cooked properly. I understand it has changed hands, the previously owners were excellent. I won't be going there again.
