Jade Garden in Havant

When we had our food delivered half way nearly finishing my first platefull I had to stop eating as I had found a black hair . aww groose. I was enjoying my food to.

The restaurant has gone down hill, when we arrived there was one other table in use, over £6.00 for 3/4s of a pint of lager, £5.60 for a bottle of cider and almost £3.00 for a can of coke, orange squash was the same price. We ordered our starters which came out bit by bit, my grandsons chicken nuggets were barely cooked, the the duck pancakes came out piece meal, first the duck, then the pancakes, the the sauces and finally the pancakes, so the duck was cold before we had the opportunity to eat, the Mongolian lamb was very crispy and nothing else with it. The smoked chicken was very crispy to say the least. Mains were ordered, which again came out bit by bit, we ordered 2 sweet and sour chicken and got one small plate, the other two main courses were more filler than chicken. This was our last visit to the Jade Garden, which is a shame as we have been using the restaurant ever since the owners took over. The service was poor but not the fault of the server as she spent most her time running take away orders from the machine to the kitchen and then picking up the orders for the pick ups. VERY SAD DAY AS THE RESTAURANT WAS EXCELLENT WHEN IT FIRST OPENED BUT NOW

I am a regular user of their takeaway service. Food arrives hot and yummy and within the time frame given.

Food is nice but portion size is terrible £18 on food to barely feed one person, £4.50 for salt and pepper chips that come in a little plastic tub with no more then 20 chips in there

Food was gorgeous just very dry which was a shame as it was soooo good

Had a takeaway here last night ordered from here a few times ! My wife started eating the last chicken satay skewer only to be horrified as she bit into it to find it was raw in the middle ! They quickly collected the raw meat to probably stop a environmental health complaint no way will we or our extended family be ordering from here again !

First time ordering from this restaurant! Delivery arrived 10 minutes early, the driver was brilliant credit to him! Great food and still very hot when Delivered Will be ordering again! Thank you

Jade garden is operated as normal while google is not updated and given the wrong information. We have just visited and had a great dinner last night.

Lovely food well priced. Shame the restaurant was empty hense only 3 stars for Atmosphere..

Ordered from here in the week, food took 1.5hrs to be delivered, came luke warm and left my wife and I with upset tummies for 48hrs.

Best quality Chinese around very tasty

I would say its absolutely gorgeous, great food & exquisite Chinese hospitality.

Been in Waterlooville 6 Months and had been sticking with 1 chinese, thought we would try these are they deliver. Wish I hadn't bothered. All the food is pretty tasteless, chicken dishes lacking chicken, chicken balls were more like the size of chicken poppers. I had to recook some of it as it was virtual cold and we had to add seasoning to improve the taste. Really poor :(.

Thought I'd try another local Chinese. It wasn't awful but I think I'll stick to my original! There was just no flavour to the chilli beef, such an awful salt and chilli chips and the spring rolls are deep fried! The sweet and sour sauce was the best part!

Starters were cold and soggy, chips were soggy and all dishes tasted the same. Very disappointed. Will keep trying to find a great takeaway.

We've had a meal in the restaurant and also as a take away. They do the best sweet and sour sauce and I love that they have beancurd on the menu which a lot of Chinese restaurants don't so it gives lots of vegetarian choice. We also booked this restaurant for a table of 12 people, all the dishes came out together and staff were very attentive. Highly recommended.

I had recently moved back to the local area and was looking for a good Chinese take away that delivered. Came across the jade garden and thought I would give it shot, I have never never had an issue with food or ordering. They have a really good selection of food and it has always arrived quickly and it's pipping hot, would highly recommend.

have been using Jade Gardens on & off for a while. I went there for a sit down meal over 10 years ago to find the owner very rude, she had no in house customer service rapour so stopped going there. I started using the restaurant again before lockdown as I thought it was under different management. This evening I ordered food to be delivered online, EST 60 mins. I called after 90mins to check. No apology, just told it was on it's way... Another 20mins later food arrived, soggy chicken balls, spring roll, chips, hardly any chicken in the curry. I called back & asked to speak to manager. The woman I spoke to was very rude, still didn't apologise until prompted. Then told me she was the director, if I wasn't happy to leave a review.... So here it is ... Appalling service!!

Have been eating takeout from here for several years - tried to order tonight and due to high demand the online ordering was not working after trying for 25 mins so I phoned and ordered they said my card was not linked to my address - how does a new customer order over the phone? I was advised by the staff member to try elsewhere!!! So that is what we have done and will do for our weekly or fortnightly Chinese. Thanks Jade Garden - terrible customer service!!!

3rd time we had food from Jades Garden and it did not disappoint. Food was very hot on arrival and super tasty, the best Chinese we’ve ever had!

Jades Garden leaves much to be desired, ordered about a month ago for a group order. Failed to show up with the right stuff, missing our rice, the duck was a tiny portion for the price you pay you expect more and the vegetables tasted and looked wrong, I cant put my finger on it, I recall saying ‘Jades Garden, well this certainly didn’t come from the garden’ Overall avoid this place.

Food was cold on arrival. Called to complain and was told it was due to being really busy and I had lots of choice so if I didn’t like it then I should use somewhere else!! After using this place for the last 2 years I feel really let down and will not use again! Terrible customer service. Obviously they do not value reliable, regular and loyal customers.

I've been ordering from here for a long time the last meal I got I was unhappy with 2 dishes unfortunately my favourite they refunded me for the meals last night I ordered again because as I said they do my favourite dish after eating some of my food I had instantly a stomach ache and was violently sick till early hours of the morning unfortunately this will be the last time I order.

Been eating from here for over a year every weekend and we've not had one bad meal. Always fresh and very tasty food. Very friendly staff, very clean and tidy. By far the best take away we've eaten from and there's been many we've tried previously. Will always stick to eating from here! :-)

Well what a shambles, yes new year is undoubtedly a busy time for takeaway restaurants.........HOWEVER!!!! ordered food at 6pm, told that food would be 120 mins (fair enough) my food finally arrived at 11.30pm. 5 1/2 hours after it was ordered. To top it off food was cold and chow mien missing. No prawn crackers which you usually get. Tried to phone them about this order 33 times only to get an engaged tone constantly...... never again will I use this takeaway. Truly shocking!!

Food just OK. Customer service shocking. Now 1 hour late. Waiting time 150 mins. When finally answered (dialed 102 times) no compensation or offering. AVOID!

Worst customer service , called to order and was told they don't do phone orders and to order online , advised them that our post code is not readable on their online service but to be told please find some where else . WOW ... found it funny though .

Food is normally decent, however tonight ordered and after waiting over 3 hours, had to drive down as they turned phones off and they told us to wait for food rather than them deliver which we were charged for! Unbelievable! Confident we wouldn't have received the order if we didn't drive there, and pre paid over 50 quid.

Food is ok but not worth the lengthy wait. Ordered 3 hours ago still no food Phone is constantly engaged. When we did get through advised they were very busy and would have to wait a further 30 minutes (issue in the kitchen) I will be avoiding this place from now on and would advise for everyone to do the same to avoid disappointment

The chicken in my special fried rice was extremely plain and unnecessarily moist and it just looked so unappealing, it was evident that it wasn't cooked together as it was just chicken, beef, mushrooms and bell pepper whacked on top of some egg fried rice, there was nothing special about it. I definitely wouldn't order again unless it was the only available restaurant for miles and even then i'd be hesitant .

I asked for chicken chop suez..chicken chow mein arrived. I called the girl who took order..said WE DONT DO CHOP SUEZ..surely all the takeaways do. And having lived in far east..they do. My chow mein was thin vermicelli noodles..i hate..udon i prefer but was NOT given a choice. I ended the order saying i hope prawn crackers included for paying £16..OF COURSE she said...guess what...NO PRAWN CRACKERS IN BAG. Will not use them again

One of the best Chinese takeaways we by have ever had. We have now actually had a meal in the restaurant and thought it was very pleasant.

Disappointed. Ordered at 20:20... arrived just before 22:00 After a phone call from the delivery driver who was adamant I didn’t have the right address. The food finally arrived! Chips were soggy and cold from being in the bags for too long. Chicken balls were either cooked from frozen or still slightly raw, never the less they weren’t crispy from being in the bags for ages. Shredded chilli chicken were stone cold. The 1/4 duck was fairly decent but massively over priced for the amount you get. Would I order again? No Would I consider eating in? Possibly if it wasn’t me paying

The food is delicious but a little on the expensive side however I've yet to find a place that gives you more than two king prawns in a house special fried rice like this place does!!!!(I got at least 5)

Very slow service. Ordered food for delivery with a 90 minute ETA, but didn't arrive until 2h30m after I ordered.

So disappointed. I appreciate the circumstances of lockdown and I hate to give a bad review but I did email the restaurant 3 days ago with my polite feedback about our disappointing meal directly to them with no reply. So here is my review. We booked our takeaway for delivery Saturday at 6.27pm Estimated delivery time 130 minutes approx. So around 8.45. It turned up at 10pm by which time we were ravenous. Chips tasted stale and like they'd been re-heated. Crispy shredded beef was almost cold. Portion sizes had shrunk noticeably. Such a shame. And no reply to my email complaint.

Terrible place - order an hour late - no compensation- do not eat here. Food cold and unappetising. Do not order from here!

Delivery time was 3 and a half hours. But customer service when I queried it was great, food arrived hot and tasted delicious. I will use Jade Garden again in the future.

This is now our local chinese, ordered for home delivery multiple times. The food is always amazing, only had one issue which is when our chips were missing from our order. would definitely recommend

Never going to eat there again after being a customer for over ten years my last visit a week last Wednesday was extremely disappointing food came out to quickly and was not freshly cooked it tasted like rubber and not tasty at all gave me reason to believe it was frozen then pre prepared I will not be recommending the restaurant

I booked a table here last week for Valentine's day for my wife.we arrived there tonight. And was shown to our table. We waited there 30 minutes. I went to the reception desk and asked if they had forgotten us.she said I took your order already. I say you haven't even spoken to me.she say it's a set menu at a cost of £29.00 each .I don't eat prawn.and my wife don't eat bacon.so we were offered 2 chicken curries.and 2 cokes and 2 lemonade at a cost of £59.00.What a disastrous Valentine's meal.never eat there again.was awake all night with bad stomach. And spent most of the morning on the loo.to be honest .we had food from the a la carte menu and we were charged top prices for something we could of got elsewhere for £25.00 .Trading standards will be informed.

Have been ordering from here for over a year. The beef is the best I've ever had from a Chinese. Food is a lot fresher and not as frozen as other chinese resteraunts around. The meat overall is great no matter what you get. It is a bit on the expensive side on some dishes, but the quality and taste of the dish makes it worth it! If you order for delivery it will always take quite a long time because they don't have many delivery drivers, however food is always hot and worth the wait when it arrives. If you order for pick up or eat inside you'll be getting your food a lot quicker.

Really poor customer service. We are regular customers who order weekly. Waiting over 3 hours food, and they don’t care. The food is usually good but this type of service is not . Save yourself money and order from somewhere else.

Ordered egg fried rice which seemingly had no egg in and tasted like your average boiled rice, chicken balls were very over cooked and chicken was hard inside first time using but wish I read the reviews before ordering! Very disappointed!! Won’t be returning 👎🏻

Fast efficient home delivery service. Food is good most of the time. Was only disappointed once, with beef ribs, tasted like they had been around for a while, but it was only 5.30 pm. Price is reasonable.

This Chinese is the best around without fail! Me and my girlfriend eat here every week and have tried elsewhere but it's never as good as here!! Lovely lady owner that is polite and very friendly! Well done jade garden I would give you 10 stars if I could.

First time we have eating here was terrible service, it wasn't busy only two tables with other people. We sat down & it took ages for the waitress to ask us what we wanted to drink! Then had to wait again, for her to order our food,! All she was doing was cleaning tables with a strong chemical spray!! which put people off their food as so strong smelling! When our food eventually arrived it was really dry over cooked, we had a shared starter & chilli chicken with egg fried rice & duck noddles,, there was only five small pieces of duck in my meal! rest was just awful noodles had no flavour, was awful. The worst restaurant meal I've ever had out, and it was for my birthday treat. Plus on top of that my husband had really bad stomach when we got home, So we definitely will not be going back really disappointed 😤😖

2nd time I’ve ordered from here slightly disappointed this time I ordered (10) chicken balls (with bbq sauce) I couldn’t eat the chicken balls they where disgusting I bit in to 1 and it was very chewy and had a funny taste I asked my friends and they said the same so unfortunately they went im the bin Chicken chow main was absolutely lovely and chips where cooked perfect I will definitely order again just with out the chicken balls 😂 Delivery was really quick and very reasonable priced

Ordered for the first time tonight. We had chicken curry and chips and a chicken chow mien and prawn crackers. The curry was bland and tasteless was just hot and hardly any chicken. Chips were okay but guessing cheap and frozen. Chow mien was dry and bland with the thinest noodles and hardly any chicken. Prawn crackers rock hard and also tasteless. Won’t be ordering again and don’t recommend!

always get my takeaway from here. sometimes delivered for £1.50 bargain. or pick up and have a nice cold pint! food is fantastic and the staff are very polite. I would highly recommend!

Advertised online as £12 per head for Sunday Buffet. After being seated the menu quoted £14.99 rising to £16.99 after 4pm !! 3 people 1 bottle of wine our bill was £68 !! Quite steep 4 a lunch ! Food ok. Wont be returning due 2 being overpriced.

Went there today after phoning several time so ended driving there and it was shut when Google said it was open. There was no warning for it being shut so was kinda annoyed as plannrd around getting this at 5. Its really good food tho so can't give a bad rating.

I have use the Jade Gardens a few times now and every time the food had been of a good standard. The portions are the usual size for a Chinese take-a-way, the meal when arrived was 75% hot and the flavour was good. My only grip was the accompanying sauces were very think and gloopy. The thing I really like is you can easily order and pay online, big thumbs up there. Would I buy from Jade Gardens again, YES

Just had a Chinese from here and can it was absolutely disgusting.The egg fried rice had no flavour what so ever and tasted just like plain boiled rice with a tiny bit of egg chucked in and o ordered chicken Singapore Noodles without the chilli and they turned up spicy and still with the chilli in them.Chicken Balls were so dry and tough.Will NEVER order from here again

Coming from a local hong kong chinese, I must admit the food here is very original and extremely satisfying. Convenient location, and excellent food which is also very good value for money. Highly recommended.

Great food and very nice staff. They're always helpful. The pricing is very good and they deliver as well which is always a bonus. It's a little quiet if you go to eat in (we're normally the only ones in there), but it's very nice

Takeaway is good but the restaurant is freezing cold and staff reluctant to put on heating despite customers complaining and eating their dinner in their coats!

Got to be the worse Chinese meal ever had. Booked a table of 7, found service really really slow, one starter arrived, the rest about 15 minutes later, Duck pancakes........... so over cooked and dry, battered chicken strips really dry. Main meal arrived about 3/4 after starters finished, served on cold serving plates, so food went cold really quickly, had to ask for missing dishes ordered. Staff more interested in getting takeaway meals out the door than customers in restaurant, really expensive for very little. £130.00 Wouldn't ever go there again. very poor
