Jacks Place in Sheffield

I feel a bit bad leaving this review as we've been coming to Jack's for years to the point where staff know us when we arrive. They are always polite and even chit chat with us. We prefer this place as the kebabs are lovely ( I always have the chicken tikka on skewers) comes on naan and serve proper chippy chips rather than fries. Weve moved areas and still visit this place as it's a nice takeaway place where staff are lovely. We have never had issues with the food but have noticed a few times prices have creeped up. We understand reasons why food has gone up but weve seen price increases a few times to the point where it costed us nearly £40 for a chippy for family of 4. This is just standard fish, chips, peas, gravy and battered sausage stuff (not burgers and kebabs) unfortunately, we cant afford this for a chippy tea in this day and age so weve cut back too. Not that we wont go anymore but knocked hippies on head much more these days. I have no fault with Jack's place, genuinely love coming here and no issues with food- it's just the price and although understand chippies have had a big increase too- general folk have to cut back. I'll miss this place but would visit here again in future! It's like a social.outing as well as a takeaway.

Just got the 14 pound kebab it's all gone in the bin the smell coming of it was horrendous never smell anything so bad in my life the oil they cooked it in must have been that old or dirty I dint even give the dog any the smell was even on the nan witch was in a separate bag I'm not normally fussy with food but wow this was something else it stunk the kitchen out aswell with the mucky oil smell wouldn't eat there for free

Pedí una hamburguesa doble de queso con patatas fritas. Miré al tipo que lo estaba haciendo y estaba rascando sus partes privadas. Cuando llegué a casa también había un pelo en la bandeja. Llamé a la tienda y fueron bastante groseros. Lo retiré, arrojaron el reembolso en mi mano y estaban hablando en su idioma haciendo alarde sobre el cabello que encontré. No volveremos! ! ! !

Un gran grupo de chicos dirigen esta increíble y pequeña tienda de chips. Tienen las mejores horas, la mejor comida y la mejor actitud. Siempre una gran comida, grandes porciones y sabroso.

El viernes pasado nos decidimos por el chippy para el té. Teniendo los nietos, las fichas necesitaban estar en abundancia, y no nos decepcionó. Dos papas fritas grandes, dos salchichas rebozadas y dos tortitas de pescado, con salsa y guisantes por menos de diez. Fantástico vfm y sabía excepcionalmente bueno.Aconsejaría a todos a darle una oportunidad, no te decepcionará.

Deben hacer que los alimentos de las personas sean del mismo nivel que harían sus propias comidas. No pongas hojas de ensalada podridas y tomates en mi hamburguesa para que no te comas. Con la cantidad de joyas que usa el hombre, no creo que se laven las manos antes de tocar los alimentos, seria necesidad de inspeccionar este lugar.

Recuerdo pedir algo de comida aquí una vez cuando estaba en la zona. No estaba nada mal, pero no me hizo desear volver. Recuerdo que la salchicha huele realmente extraña, me alejó del resto de la comida. Hay mejores cosas para llevar en esa área de todos modos

We have Jack’s every Friday night but tonight not as great as usual the chips was cold and all the food was cold I do enjoy Jack’s because it is nice fish and chips

The portion of fish and chips was huge, they were lovely and I shared them. The idea of them in the box is ingenious. Same again with the onion rings and mushrooms, both were large amounts. No complaints from me.

The fish and chips, was so nice, the mixed kebab was also good, and both were very large portions. also the food was hot when delivered.

Cuando asqueroso Los niños no podían comer nada, Fishcake sabía vil, los hubiera traído de vuelta pero mi esposo se fue a trabajar y mi hijo menor tiene varicela, por lo que no puede salir. Era la que más ansiaba su té, ya que no había comido mucho en días Lástima que le devuelvan el dinero por favor

Living now, within a few hundred yards of jacks place and having never tried food from here before ..we were pleasantly surprised by the quality and size of the portions on offer.. Reasonably priced and suitably impressed..we will be using again with no qualms.

Food is fantastic service brilliant fast delivery definitely worth a try will order again in the future

asked for the bhunas to have no onions or peppers or tomatos in they sent it with them in and the wrap was so greasy it was dripping off it will not use these again .

Probably the worst fish, chips and curry sauce I've had. The fish tasted of nothing, the curry sauce was far too runny and the chips tasted cheap compared to other chip shops. I thought for the price was far too much as this is also the most expensive Fish, Chips and Curry Sauce I've ever had. Would not recommend at all. I gave them two stars for the quality of food because they was the only Chip Shop open on a Sunday.

Hi we was at wintersett lakes caravan park got them to deliver for 28 people was nice and hot when it came with everyone getting what they wanted would highly recommend them

Never ordered Fish & chips but we were pleasantly surprised! Delivery was pushed by 10-15 minutes after order and showed up at the time advised so can't grumble. Good portion size! Only problem was the mushy peas - mostly very thin liquid and very few peas. Will be reordering in the future. Would be nice to have a few more fish options on the menu too :) such as haddock, or different sizes of cod. Thanks for the great meal.

Ordered fish and chips spot on ,ordered a burger brilliant,ordered a dupiaza curry no taste bland absolutely shocking,garlic naan no garlic, can't understand this as ordered curry before and never had a problem have you changed the curry chef Jack if so stick to fish,chips and burgers

Not only did I pay £1:50 delivery charge threw this but the restaurant added an extra £1:00 on plus I ordered it before 5 to turn up for 6 they pushed it back by 20 mins then ended up being over 10 mins late only best thing was korma
