Venice Pizza in Sheffield

I've visited here tonight 21/2/24 I travel around with my job and eat at many different takeaways this one was very poor possibly the worst I've ever had me and my colleague got a 2x pizza meal with chips and a drink and I honestly the pizza was absolutely tasteless hardly any topping and just a waste of money would not recommend

Always service with a smile, fast delivery never late than estimated time and the one time they were a little bit behind they offered us a free drink to make up for it which was really sweet. Food is amazing value for money and tastes great!

In 51 years of life I can’t think of a worse food item I’ve ever tasted! Awful burgers, awful hard fries (as if from an heat lamp) and awful bread. Also got my partners order wrong despite us ordering on an app.

I'd say that this place has really good pizza and great prices but the service is terrible. I've ordered food only for the delivery drive to refuse getting out of his car and come to my door telling his manager that he couldn't find my building which was a lie because whilst I was on the phone with him he acknowledged that he could see me hanging out of my window flagging him down. So an hour later another drive came to my door with a cold pizza and chips and when I opened it the sauces had be thrown in and come open so sauce was all over, when I called to complain the man who answered said he would talk to his boss then hung up on me, so I called back and basically was told to accept it and nothing was going to get done about it so now they've lost me as a customer.

The funghi pizzas from here are unmatched (and that garlic dip!?!? YUM), great food and lovley staff. My fave place for a cheeky take-away

Don't let the outside put you off. It's really great fungi pizza. I pass four pizza joints to go here. Good price and nice staff. Much better value and taste than all the others I have tried. Recommended for sure.

This place is very quick to get rid of you on the phone when you've been waiting well over an hour and a half for food. It arrived cold. The service from this place lines up with what others have reviewed for it, it deserves everything it gets for incredibly slow service, delivery and a pretty rushed and inconsiderate manner on the phone. If you use Uber eats, they use the absolute latest time estimated to be the time to start preparing your food, ensuring it will be at least an hour or more before you get it. Food itself was pretty average. Nothing to shout about, not bad, but not good by any means either. Didn't help that it was cold.

My roommate is disabled and as a result struggles to leave the house. She ordered a takeaway today and when the deliver drive not on the door, he aggressively had ago at her for not coming to collect her order at his car. Overhearing this, I came over highlighting that my roommate is disabled. Despite this he continues to have ago at her and adds how I should have come down instead. I am likewise disabled, having broken my back and leg 2 years ago and my disability is actually visible. When I pointed to my bent out of shape leg. He turned back to yelling at my roommate. I’m very angry with how this delivery driver treated my roommate. Not all disabilities are visible.

I love this takeaway, my favourite place and it has really got me through my chemotherapy knowing I’ve got this place to look forward to when I get home! Thank you!!

My food was 1 hour late I rang up to be told the driver had set off then rang back to be told the driver had already been and tried to call also supposed to have messaged me on the just eat app tried to tell me my details must be wrong I double checked and my details are correct I was told they can send my food out if I pay an additional £1.50 within 5 minutes my food was here I had no calls or no1 had been on my cctv liars just to get extra money just lost urself a customer and gained a bad review for the sake of £1.50 also the food was stone cold would give these a miss

Food isn't always nice but has been good in the past a couple of time the Salad in my burger has gone off..... gave me change in his foreign currency so not happy about that i didnt notice at first...... the seating area and food prep area needs to be more hygienic. The same hands that take the money is used to prepare food with no gloves sadly and couple time I has diarrhoea after eating from there but still gave them chance after chance.

We waited one and a half hour for rubbish. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE If you want your food to be warm and on time. They didn’t care on the phone and didn’t offer anything for the huge inconvenience. Our whole family and children waited over one and a half hours for food. Extremely unprofessional. If you can’t manage the orders you get don’t take them. I will never order from here again this is so off putting. Rubbish service. Basic food. Extremely poor management.

We ordered a delivery yesterday evening via uber eats. I contacted the restaurant to go through the order as it was quite large. They were more than happy to help (excellent customer service) When the food arrived, it was hot, tasty and fresh... Would highly recommend.

Good pizza, excellent value. I ordered 4 12" pizzas and they threw in a free garlic bread with cheese. Second time I've been there and both time were lovely. Takeaway only so not rated for atmosphere

Nicest vegetarian hot pizza I've had in ages, and they don't lie when they say hot! Lovely crispy base, so many toppings and the pots of dipping sauce were lovely. My partner had a kebab Della and he said it was great. Will certainly come here again.

Alright food, kebab was quite nice but pizza was mostly crust and cold when it arrived (was cold weather outside) but got delivered and still had to walk 160m+ to go collect it because driver didn't want to drive to the house

If I could leave a zero star I would. DO NOT ORDER. I was delivered the wrong pizza and they asked for the mistaken one back, what concerns me is that they wanted it back to take to another customer when it had already been in my house. Very poor hygiene standards

Disgusting food looks like they cook not fresh food

We discovered this takeaway last summer when our usual shop was closed. We have ordered several times, the food is always good, the staff are also nice. Deliveries can take up to an hour at busy times, but we just allow for this.

What a wonderful experience! After processing some trauma with my good friend I was in desperate need of a seafood pizza - Venice pizza did NOT disappoint! The friendly delivery guy took head of our specific delivery request and the pizza was delicious. Also the cheesy chips were top notch 😘👌

Best pizza I have ever come across

Took an hour to deliver and they somehow forgot to remove the plastic covering on the food. Clearly microwaved, not sure how it took so long to deliver low standard food.

So last night I tried ordering something from here on Uber eats, but it was right when they'd stopped taking orders that it went through so they cancelled the order. tonight I tried ordering the same thing I'd ordered last night and they assumed I'd made the order by mistake (I hadn't, I really did want some special garlic bread and a build your own calzone with olives, tuna, prawn, and anchovies) but when I called they swiftly sent out the order. It was really quite nice, I love that they have the seafood toppings as an option for calzones, even if they don't have an actual seafood calzone as a menu option. You probably wouldn't like this place if you prefer a thinner crust, the dough was almost like brioche.

Ordered two chicken tikka pizzas. Nicely cooked, however a little bland. Could do with chilli sauce base to give it a kick. A tad expensive but everywhere is at the moment. A nice pizza overall. The fries were ok as well.

So i ordered from here yestarday i made the order at about 4:20pm and waited a hour as the delivery was due at 5:29pm, rang them at 5:46pm to then be told they delivered my food to a different address and that itd be with me shortly, after waiting another 40mins for my food it finally came and i ordered a can of coke and was missing and was cold. Tried to call the restraunt but didnt pick up. Will not be ordering again

I went to Venice pizza on my way home from work last night and the food was absolutely delicious! I had a calzone and a chicken kebab and they were both spot on! The staff were also lovely and the shop had a very nice atmosphere - I would fully recommend to anyone in the area :)

Ordered food at 8.05pm its now 10:45pm and still waiting. All it was were 2 pizzas, garlic bread and chips. Not a particularly big order, when I phoned (twice) I got told on both occasions that my food was on its way. Will never be using again that's for sure.

Ordered food at 7.39pm with an estimated delivery time of 35 to 50 minutes. Delivery time then extended until 9.10pm. Currently 9.36pm and nothing. Guess it's just not coming.

Dont bother with this place. Honestly the most unhelpful staff ever. Which is a shame because ive had food from there before and i like it and they have a lot of orders from me but not anymore after this issue and them being unprofessional I Called up because my order did not arrive spoke to some guy who was rude from the get go. Told me i didn't answer phone (so there must of been some connection issue) he told me the delivery driver basically left it. I made sure i put specific instructions on the delivery note to make it easier for the uber eats driver pointing out where i live and still wasnt delivered properly. Asked if id get refunded because obviously i dont have the food he said no. He told me i live in student accomodation so its my fault i went on to tell him i live in a house little does he know my kitchen overlooks the carpark it was dark and i didnt see any headlights come onto the car park so how far are you wanting me to walk for this pizza 😂 he then went on to be really patronising and said that it was under 10 so no refund i dont care if i spent 50p its still money for an item i didnt recieve... id give 0 stars if i could you need some staff training in customer service and uber needs some new drivers 😐

One of the best Pizza I had in sheffield, I like the stuffed Spicy Polo and BBQ Special. Good services and very good and different taste. Everyone should try from them its really amazing. They deserve 5 Star Rating . All the best team

Absolutely rubbish worst food I’ve eaten not even dogs went near it ….later that evening I’ve been sick all night and had to call emergency services

Very disappointed. Ordered a margarita pizza (we are vegetarian) and waited about 20mins while pizzas went out to other people. Finally they gave a pizza just in time as our taxi arrived and we didn’t realise until we were half way home that the pizza was full of ham! Think it is out of order to give someone a ham pizza when they have ordered a vegetarian pizza. Really not happy with these people ..

the driver refuses to come to my address but wants me to pick up my food in a car park - i don't know what car park he talks about. i walk around the student accommodation where deliveries usually park, he is nowhere to be found. stubborn about parking in the same spot the second time around. decided he doesn't have time for me (again) and leaves. very rude on the calls. to clarify: i live in a small house (on university accommodation grounds) that has an exact address you can get to by car. 2 and a half hours later, dont have my money dont have my food. never ordering again.

We ordered a pizza for delivery from here. Beautiful and tasty pizzas. Delivery did take a while but manger was lovely and explained that they were extremely busy. The pizzas were worth the wait very tasty and fresh the stuffed crust was very delicious too. We will be ordering again.

It’s a shame I always used to order from here every week as the pizza is good. However the owner is a liar and says he called me from his own personal mobile number which my call log says otherwise and I called The shop after waiting two and 30 minutes For him to shout over me and hang up on me he was unprofessional! And refused to deliver my pizza because of his own mistakes would stay away because it soon as it goes wrong is a complete and utter arse!

Very cheap pizza, nothing special.

This was the first pizzeria I went to when I first moved to Sheffield, after years they're still one of my favourites! Very friendly staff and great service and deliveries always punctual if not early. Would definitely recommend to a friend!!

That I pay for food that had been cancelled by them TWICE!, (Firstly a recieved a app notifaction that the order had been cancelled (they were closing soon they said and other assortment of excuses!). Then they "Claimed" that they had bveen trying to contact me to verify I could pay BY HARASSING ME OVER THE PHONE!! Now a week later they have just called my mobile and ask me to pay for FOOD that I had been told was cancelled and arrived at my door 2 hrs later at midnight!! scared me to death! PLEASE AVIOD THIS RESTUARANT AT ALL COSTS!! SCARY AND EXTREMELY ANTI WHITE

It's okay pizza, I'd agree with the comments on service and quality. Lots of cheese, a little bit of bland sauce, and the crust was definitely under done. You're not getting a 5 star pizza here, but if you're looking for a serviceable slice you can't go wrong. I opted for collection after the nightmare reviews on delivery. I was told 20 minutes over the phone, and it only took an extra 15 minutes of waiting in person after those 20 for my pizza.

***MANAGER VERY VERY RUDE*** Ordered from a few times and wont be ordering anymore always never on time that is stated and rude management too had problems a couple of times with orders coming wrong gave benefit of dount first time round and got told on last occasion that they wernt going to sort it out for me even though they admitted they had been wrong n then when finally spoke to them properly after they put phone down on me i got told to send back the wrong order and i would have to wait another hour before i would recieve my right order Paid online aswell through they website so i couldnt even witheld payment for wrong food

Well I went in ordered a pizza . Paid . And after looking at my change commented it's rather expensive.. he put the note I'd given him on the counter asked for his change back . And refused to serve me . So nothing out of 10 from me ..UPDATE although I was thrown out my son wanted pizza. So we called in advance. Even though we live a minutes walk away .thought save time waiting . And get it delivered for when we are home . Anyway took an hour . And when it arrived .was cold . Seriously less than a min away walking

Ordered from here for a delivery. I live about 10 mins walk away at most and would be faster with car. Ordered 2x pizzas and 3x burger meals. I rang after one and a half hours and was told that they would be 20 minutes at the most. Half an hour later I had rang back and asked where my food was. They said the driver had already set off otherwise I would have collected it at this point. Another 20 mins later no food. I rang up absolutely fuming and told them to cancel the order. The kids were starving and we decided to order elsewhere. 10 minutes after cancelling the driver turned up at my door with the food. The absolute cheek!! I had no choice but to send the driver back. Don’t ever order from here if you actually want to eat anything anytime soon. Much better food places nearby such as imrans/kebabish/ pinocchios pizza which are all a short distance away on London road!!! They would get 0 starts but sadly that’s not an option!!

I offered to send back the beef pizzas but was told we could keep them. He told me he would get the right order sent out as soon as possible. 9pm - still no pizzas, and my mum WHO IS DIABETIC was really hungry. I telephoned and was told the chef would make them in half an hour. 10.30pm - still no pizzas! I phoned again only to be told "the shop is very busy and can you mention it next time you order" (it was 10.30pm ON A MONDAY NIGHT!!!) I threatened to go to the shop in person, "no, no, no need to come down"- well send me the right order then! "Okay I will send in half an hour". 11.20pm - after almost 4 hours of waiting still no pizzas; my poor mother had given up, made do whatever other food we could put together and gone to bed. I telephoned to tell them to forget the pizzas and told them I'd be leaving a bad review and not ordering from them again. He said they don't want to lose customers! He then said he'd explained that they were busy and that he hadn't said we would get the pizzas soon when he'd specifically said half an hour on each occasion! Before telling me the shop was too busy and they couldn't cope. Surely this is a staffing/management problem and nothing to do with me?! He finished by telling me I could still have the pizzas. Driver couldn't find our address, despite no issues the previous two times ordering from them. Was hugely confrontational on the phone, asking us to meet him outside a local business that was not our input address. Even when given the address on the phone, acted put out and aggressive, which continued when they finally arrived with the order. Due to all of these delays our Pizza was almost cold when we opened the boxes, not impressed!

We love this pizza place. Came to collect a pizza tonight and they were running a little behind so helped me carry the pizza to the car. It was piping hot and freshly made. Honestly best pizza place!! We love their sauces and the staff are amazing. Thanks for being the best.

I absolutely love this pizza place. We rang up and made an order this evening. A really big order and it arrived within 50 minutes. Everything was piping hot and perfect! The pizzas are amazing and the chips and cheese is my personal fave!! 😍😍 they even gave us an extra pizza. Every time we order they drive all the way over to use even though we are not in their radius. They are lovely lovely people and it is a pleasure to order from them every time. Thank you :)

I ordered a 10' pizza with jalapeno poppers and it was amazing. They provided two dips along with the poppers and the delivery was on time. The pizza tasted very fresh and would definitely order again.

Absolutely The worst takeaway I’ve ever ordered from. I wouldn’t even be sat here leaving this review if the staff weren’t so horrid. My food smelt potent and off and went straight in the bin, the chocolate cake was solid as a rock and also went in the bin, I contacted just eat who rang the takeaway who then said I had to bring the food down. They then had the cheek to reply to my review on just eat and tell me I was lying just to get a refund. Absolutely appalling.

My driver couldn't find my address and was very rude to me on the phone. I gave him instructions over the phone how he could find me but he didnt follow them. Then he told me he would cancel the order and take it back...

Delicious food and Amazing cheesy bite .

The pizza was probably nice when it was hot an hour before it was delivered.

Got back to find the chicken and mushroom pizza I ordered was covered in either spicy or tandoori chicken (which I can't eat without being violently ill), NOT plain chicken as on the menu. When I called to try sort it, I was informed they don't do spicy chicken at all. Although spicy chicken is mentioned separately on the menu a number of times, as is tikka chicken. And the little bits of chopped chilli on the orange-tinted chicken suggest otherwise. If only I could post a picture of the non-spicy, chilli covered chicken that was all over my pizza. No point arguing with them if they're just going to lie.

Like stated on previous comments, customer service is the absolute worste. The delivery driver was disgusting, hurling abuse at me down the phone saying he was going to f*#k my sister and mother. So if you would like disgraceful behavour like that thrown in with your pizza then this is the place, if not - AVOID!!

I’ve been here a heck of a lot of times and I’ve always loved it. Pizzas are made there and then and they taste amazing. I love the pineapple pizza. The staff are also very pleasant.

A very nice place for takeaway food. They also have a small seating area indoors. I've been ordering from here quite a few times since I discovered it. My favorite is their pizzas. They apparently make their base fresh each day which I can believe from how they taste. Ordered a Pizza Hut pizza the other day but their pizzas don't even compare to a pizza from here. I also love their burgers as salad is always fresh and their garlic mayo is to die for. I would strongly recommend this place and considering the good quality food I find their prices very good.

Arriving back home late from Leeds, I looked up which pizza takeaways were still open and taking delivery orders. My usual few were open, but I really thought I ought to try somewhere new; I had never seen Venice Pizza before, so I figured that...

Wow, what a surprise. The best garlic sauce I've tasted for a while, burger was perfect and still made it how I wanted even though it was a collection offer.

Will visit again, not perfect but one of the best in this area. We ordered a mixture between deep pan and traditional pizza. There was not much difference between them. Would have been nice to have the deep pan deeper and the traditional thinner. On all the bases were slightly undercooked, qnother minute or two would have made all the difference. Bbq pizza base was runny when hot so all the topping slid off, unlike the tomato base where all was fine in that department. After 30 minutes or so when the bbq had cooled down it was easy eddible and quite yummy. Toppings on all pizzas were generous (except olives which were sparce), the meat feast in particular seemed bursting with toppings and flavour. Overall the taste combinations and topping flavour were very nice with real ham which is a luxury in this area. The base although slightly undercooked was also tasty. The pepperoni stuffed crust we ordered was very much a gimmick, we had to hunt for the peperoni pushed agaist the base of the crust. Felt like they were trying to climb on a band wagon that they did not have the skills for but still charging 2.50 for the experience of the name 'stuffed crust' rather than having tbe actual tbing. This is one thing we certainly would not order again or reccomend anyone ordering from them. Price was reasonable, would be nice the 'free choice' pizza included in meal deals, but thats not unusual. One of the better pizza takeaway establishments in the area, w and no doubt we will be ordering from them on another occasion, not because they were perfect but because they are better than the rest.
