Jabir Indian Takeaway in Chichester

Short stay in Selsey and I'm not one for Indian food but got some for me and my partner. Thoroughly enjoyed it.. Would definitely recommend. 5* all the way.

Looked online for a local Curry house found this place delivery was on time food was great the price was reasonable will order again when back in Selsey.

Very rude people who speak to you in a disrespectful and abrupt manner. This happened once and I gave them the benefit of the doubt, but it happened again; hence I won’t be spending my good hard earned money with them from now onwards. Food ain’t great either.

Possibly one of the worst takeaways I have ever had !!! Delivered 40min before the delivery time ,soggy naan ,harsh not creamy Marsala,and a bombey potato beyond redemption!!! Not sure what happened tonight as I’ve had fabulous food in the past but not tonight sadly

A cheap and cheerful Indian takeaway in the BIR tradition. They have all the usual curries and if you pay cash they're about half the price of the posher one on the high street but just as tasty.

Our first time ordering from around the corner Jabir Indian Takeaway - we ordered 2 x Lamb Breyani and there was so much food that hubby and I shared one portion, and will have the 2nd one tomorrow. It was absolutely delicious - the flavour was great and the Lamb very tender. We'll definitely be back....on a regular basis. Great value for money. We most definitely recommend Jabir's 👌 😁

Ordered main meals and sides also mint sauce, opened lid, mould on sauces x2. Phoned complained they sent x2 more I checked and they r mouldy. Phoned the shop explained poor standards, the reply was ' ok we tell the chef. ' no apology no refund

Absolutely the best Indian takeaway in our opinion. A big hit with our kids and their grandparents too! Good level of choice. Fresh ingredients. A cut above most other Indian takeaways. The Roshni and Naga our favourite dishes- they are very hot but so full of flavour. The kids love the biriyani and chicken tikka- along with their delicious garlic naans.

Nice take away, food can be a bit variable in quality at times, staff on the phone could be a bit nicer, the front of house waiting/ordering area could also be a bit more pleasant to be in but in regards to the food, good overall quality and taste and price, would reccomend to someone looking for an Indian takeaway!

The food is always good no complaints just a request is it possible to upload the up to date menu to save any confusion with the price recent menu is 2 years old apart from that never a complaint and just happy satisfied stuffed customers here

As a person of south Asian heritage I was on the lookout for some authentic Indian food during my short stay in Selsey, which was when i came across the excellent Jabir Indian takeaway. Their food was some of the most delicious and scrumptious I've ever had. The flavours were truly on point, portion sizes excellent and the food presented fantastic value for money. More than anything, Mr Akik and Mr Hamidur were incredibly polite and kind. We were touched by their positive attitude and service and they went above and beyond in making our dinners very memorable. We ordered from Jabir each of the 3 nights we were here and i would say their food was absolutely brilliant. I would happily and highly recommend Jabir Indian Takeaway for anyone who lives locally, or visiting the area.

Under £30 for 2 mains, 2 starters, 2 rice and a naan! Very good value. Most importantly it was very tasty. It also came in metal containers so its better than the plastic ones most curry takeaways come in.

Been having meals from here for 2.5 years hit and miss sometimes hot sometime cold meal before last had a pound coin in in it not impressed, just had another meal tonight 22/04/22 waited two hours and turned up cold , they refused to refund on card still charged full amount no discount, which most places would do, guess never give discounts due to having to pay a lot less for cash , maybe HMRC might be interested

Why on earth haven't I ordered food from here sooner? Absolute divine. Hot. Tasty. Flavours. I don’t do Indian, not my cup of char, and if I wanted scampi like the fool in the review a couple of months ago I’d go to a fish and chip shop.! This place I had the special garlic chicken tikka and it was the best Indian I’ve ever tasted, and also a delivery. Yes it took an hour and half but worth the wait. We spent around £50 on a meal for two and every part of it was 10/10. Only recommendation would be to give the onion salad and sauces free. Great food and great service, Den’s lack of fish bar could learn a lot from the quality of this plaice.! 🤣 (Search The Tearaway Podcast for my latest episode.)

Very good food and a good price if you pay cash and pick it up but I found the young boy behind the counter not very helpful and a bit abrupt

Ordered at 17:50 through just eat, got a text message to say it was out for delivery at 18:59. Got to 19:20 and it still wasn't here, rung them up and they just said it's on its way. It then got delivered at 19:37. All of the food was stone cold and horrible, I ordered scampi and it was cold and rubbery, unable to reheat considering its fish. Really unhappy as our food from here last week was cold too. Never going here again.

We had a takeaway from here last night. Mushroom and pilau rices were lovely, as was the sag aloo, veg korma and onion bhajis. Poppadoms were pretty standard. The only bad thing was the chips which were pretty horrible - but then chips aren't an Indian takeaways specialty so I'm not going to mark them down for that as all other food was great

Credit where credit is due. We had a faultless meal from the Jabir the other night. Cooked beautifully and clearly cooked for long enough so the flavours merged as they should. So we have now moved our business across town to the Jabir. It’s also much closer too and a lot cheaper, 30% plus cheaper for cash and collection. Keep the quality coming and we’ll be very pleased to keep using them

Absolutely vile, Garlic rice had whole chunks of garlic they obviously have no Knifes to slice it, Chicken chat was oily & beefy flavoured the worst chat ive ever had and I spent 7 months touring india and have been eating Indian food for best part of 50yrs. Would NOT recommend and will NOT order from again. Horrid Food.

Large order placed for family birthday first time eating here. Ordered via just eat app process was easy. Order was ready in specified time and was 100%accurate. It was a mixed bag. Bhaji could have been better not enough onion too much chickpea and not crispy enough. Mint sauce was tasty. Pappadoms nice. Everyone that had tandoori meats and prawns was happy with there dishes. One chicken leg a little dry. Chicken kashmir was lovely but no lychee as described only banana. Chicken Tikka passanda was OK nice sauce but the chicken felt highly processed this was a theme throughout the curries and any dish featuring Tikka. Tarka Dhal was horrid. Runny and lumps of garlic not a good dish at all. Paratha was under cooked doughy and dripping in grease. Nann breads were all very good. Chicken with potato and cheese dish was a surprise tasty. All and all there was average and terrible so I wouldnt order again in a hurry.

Always go here and never disappointed, looking forward to my Indian tonight from Jabir, staff are always friendly and remember people’s names which is always a plus++ food is delicious

Disappointed.. the korma was to runny.. the pakoras were so greasy and the nann was so tough and it wasn’t exactly cheap

Ordered a takeaway tonight and was told it would take half an hour , hour and half later food still not here and made 2 complaints to them . They lied about receiving my order and told me I had given my number wrong even though they repeated it back to me when I first made the order and was correct . On the final phone call with them They struggled to speak very basic English and said the owner of the takeaway also owns a large Indian restaurant in selsey (which I know for a fact he doesn’t ) . Extremely rude, Disgraceful attitude, can’t understand simple English , and lied multiple times . Avoid at all costs .

First time of trying and we were very pleased. Good value and excellent meal. We will be treating ourselves to further meals from Jabir, in the future.

The curry was nice, the order was mixed up and you don't get any rice with it. The curry itself is 3/4's or 1/2 full. Not worth the money.

Was lovely just like at home hard to find decent take away but this is definitely a one to revisit :) thank you

A great Indian takeaway. The food is always delivered pipping hot and delicious. All dishes have the taste as described on the menu. Very reasonably priced.

Really quick delivery fresh super hot. Different taste to what we are use to from a Indian But still very nice and tasty really good food bigger portion then the high Street one. Amazing

Food never got delivered. Was told delivery driver tried contacting me several times when he did not. Was told to come collect food from the shop otherwise I wasn’t getting it. No apology, would not use again.

Awful! Ordered food to be delivered, driver could not find address didn't call us. Was told to go and collect the food with no apology at all! Disgusting service, will not use again!!!

Thought I’d get a take away for New Years Eve from the Jabir Indian Take away . Got my order wrong completely . It looked disgusting , very poor quality . Took the order in , no apology so luckily for me , I got my money back . Avoid this place , far better quality and service at the Magna in the High street. Never again !!!!

Not my preferred choice whilst in selsey but they do a serve some spicy curry if your into that. Even the milder stuff seems to have a kick to it.

Set menu for 2 we ordered tonight was delicious and perfect portion size, perfect flavours, fair price, couldn't be happier.

Not had a bad meal yet in 6 or 7 visits. Dhansak is delicious as is everything else we have tried from the menu. Friendly staff and reasonably priced compared to other local takeaways, especially if you collect your order

Staying at bunns leisure park down the road quick delivery, very reasonably priced and was over the moon with the curry. Highly recommend.
