What a lovely way to spend our Saturday afternoon. Lunch here was lovely. The only critique would be the amount of crisps. 4 crips was a bit poor! Other than that the food was delicious. The tea was very tasty too. I’m very picky with tea. But This was lovely. Staff were wonderful and was smiling and seemed happy which is always nice to see. We will be visiting again soon. As I very much enjoyed the peace and quiet away from main cafe/bars.

Friendly staff and lovely tea served in proper china cups! The tea room inside is beautiful and there is some outside seating too with fantastic views of the fishing lakes and surrounding countryside. Yummy cakes and ice cream, there are also some alpacas and chickens, as well as peacocks roaming around. It's such a lovely peaceful location down a country lane - you may struggle for passing places though... and go slowly over the speed bumps! Absolutely worth a visit. There is a bar too!

The tea room is very nicely fitted out in a quirky vintage style. There's quite a lot of outdoor space too with nice views. The tea was served in beautiful vintage china. However I was disappointed with the lunch choices. The menu was very sparse and the paninis and jacket potatoes had very ordinary fillings, with no choice other than cheddar for vegetarians. We weren't offered the "special" which I believe was lasagne, although the assistant did mention there was a chicken wrap. There wasn't a vegetarian special. We shared a portion of chips but it was very small - so another disappoinment. The Snugberries ice cream was nice. Would I go again? Not for lunch unless they improve the menu. It's rather out of the way, so I'm not likely to pop in for coffee or icecrram

We have walked past the sign for the Isaak Walton Fishery several times on our lockdown walks and saw that they have a tea room so decided to stop off for a coffee. It's about 5 minutes walk from the road. It was a lovely setting, plenty of seating both inside and out and views over the lakes. Vintage tea room style and we were made to feel very welcome. They do lunches and cooked breakfasts as well as cream teas but we just wanted a quick coffee but had a cake as well which was delicious. Would recommend and we will stop again next time we walk that way.

We love coming down to enjoy the friendly atmosphere. The food vans are a great addition to the village and bring a range of food to our doorstep. Always a friendly face and warm welcome down at the Duke.

I have driven past the Royal Exchange for years. On each of those occasions I promised myself that I would call in one day. Well, today was the day! My wife and I walked from Aston by Stone to the Royal Exchange [6600 steps). The weather was kind and the Royal Exchange was all that we could have asked for. Angela, the host, was friendly, warm and professional. The pub was warm and cosy with an open fire and a wood burning stove. No music, just the welcoming background of fellow drinkers enjoying their favourite tipple and the chance of an undisturbed conversation. The full range of Titanic Brewery beverages plus very generous cheese and onion cobs was the icing on the cake. I realise now how many opportunities I have wasted over the years by not calling in. Angela does a great job of maintaining a 'proper pub' and I look forward to our next lengthy walk with a trip to the Royal Exchange as the prize. Thank you Angela for a grest experience.
