Ali was a very very good attending to i and my friend he has a good eye to detail when attending to customers, his an excellent guy.

After having a bad experience here a few years ago I thought I would give it another try. What a mistake!!!! 8.30 table on a Friday night . The start of the weekend. They have no rice only chips. I ordered my chicken shish which looked like it had been put on my plate by a child . Chicken and chips with a large oven baked green pepper and a tiny thin triangle of pitta, no salad no sauce and definitely not worth the £22 it cost especially when other local Turkish restaurants are cheaper and far more aesthetically pleasing to the eye, I felt like I was in a school canteen. We then were told at 9.45 that they would be closing in 10mins. Pardon? So no dessert or offer of more drinks. Boom end to our Friday night. After asking do they normally close at this time he said no normally 11pm but it’s quiet. Will not be attending again or recommending this place. Far better restaurants in Bexleyheath .

Waiter very abrupt. Also charged us £5.40 for 2 glasses of boiling water which we get free everywhere alse we've been for meals. Disgusting, shame on you Istanbul Kitchen.

The food was nice, however.... Their customer service is V poor. A Turkish family, sat near to us, were served quicker AND were offered the dessert menu. We seemed to have been ignored, after our mains. When we questioned if they did desserts, they showed us the 'complimentary 'Turkish Delight, that was given with the bill. When my wife questioned this, the waitress told her 'she didn't speak very good English' We won't be going back!

Beautiful food, speedy and helpful service and good value... was quiet tonight, but you know it's good when the local Turkish people are eating there!

First time tried and definitely will never revisit. The food is extremely expensive. 4 piece lamb chops 25£. Even expensive than some central london posh restaurants. With this amount of price point in Bexleyheath , you would expect the food would be something extraordinary. We ordered lamb chops, chicken tava and borek. The resturent manager and probably the only waiter took the order and double confirm if we need all the items together or borek first. The other 2 items arrived but the borek never arrived. When we ask for the bill it was there in the bill off-course. When I told him the borek was never delivered, he just told okay let me adjust the bill. No apology no surprise nothing!! As if he just decided to not serve the borek and didn’t just bother to inform us. I was in total shock seeing his response. But my food rating not biased by the service quality. 25£ each main and chicken tava was boiled chicken served in some precooked super hot probably microwaved gravy. Lamb chops were too hard to chew and the side mix rice was simply disgusting. Don’t waste your hard earned money and mood by trying this restaurant. Its a must NO place to each in Bexleyheath Broadway

2 levels below zero Update: The bbq meat was cold, and the ready made tomato was cold, it was supposed to be hot aswell. The staff and the manager especially were disrespectful, they didn’t treat us fairly to everyone else at the restaurant.

I came here with my husband, hoping the food would be good. They also overcharged me with the food, the food was supposed to be £65 but they charged me £75. Also, the manager was very disrespectful and the food was undercooked. Very poor customer service.

I had the vegetarian moussaka and it was chef's kiss! Great bechamel sauce, veggies were cooked appropriately, sauces and salt amount were great. Definitely coming again!

I went there with my workplace colleagues. We were seated to a table and ordered our foods. One of my colleagues ordered Lamb for the main course and his food didn't arrive when ours did. Then the girl working (sorry I don't know her name) started saying no lamb if he wants something else or he can not order. She mentioned that after 30 minutes of giving order which in itself was not great. Then she proceeded to argue with my colleague when my colleague mentioned the fact she told him 30 minutes after he ordered and after our food had arrived. The manager then got the lamb dish for my colleague which the girl said to have been finished. Very rude customer service and not great. Won't be going there again.

Reasonably priced food, large portions, food is well cooked, staff seemed a bit overwhelmed as the restaurant was busy. The drinks took a long time to come, and the pornstar martinis were not very nice. Also, the service charge was too much. Very clean toilets and restaurant 👌

This is one of our favourite restaurants in Cheltenham! We've been there for lunch and dinner with family, service is fabulous, food is always fresh and incredibly tasty, we love it!

I have food poisoning after eating there. I had a moussakka and that was it for the day and a few hours later my stomach was burning and I threw up and felt sick the whole evening… I don’t know how this is cooked or kept, probably big batches and reheated. Extremely disappointed as the place looked nice and the service was great.

We have been visiting this place last few years. It can be the best Turkish restaurant in the area. Pides, Kebabs all good!

Had to change my review With outstanding bad service and rudeness, we kept giving this restaurant a chance as it was local but today they lost us as customers and our social circle. This service charge is disgraceful and the worst thing is they will shame you infront of the whole restaurant if you decide to not pay something that’s your choice to pay or not.

When I came here for the 2nd time after 1 year I like the dining area the design it represents very good I liked the starters,salad,lahamacun and the iskender was very tasty, the service was alright,but the minus thing is, there was a extra charge, it's called service charge.

Nice busy place When we arrived we were greeted instantly but there was a hesitation in getting us seated The food is relatively expensive Once seated our order was taken promptly We were given some bread and dips. Then it took a long time for the food to arrive, it took so long we had to ask them and each time they kept on saying 5 minutes, on a few occasions then when we asked again in between 5 mins questioning she said five to seven minutes which we thought was precise time but failed to appear. Eventually the food arrived say an hour later I am not going to review the food as a principal due to the service

Tonight they were very busy with big birthday parties, we waited for about an hour before appetisers came, another long wait for the mains. We were not happy with their explanations, they said they were very busy and everyone had to wait for a long time... somehow, that's a valid excuse. We also saw other families were unhappy. They gave us a small dish of yoghurt dip as compliment and waved the service charge. In our opinion, not sure they warrant any anyway. Oh, the food was below average. The meat was too tough and burnt. The portions were quite small, and the value for the money was poor. The free salad and bread were the most best dishes. It's definitely not worth waiting for so long. Would definitely not go again

Went into the restaurant at lunch time. It wasn’t a planned visit. The restaurant was just in the right place at the right time. The food was great. The service from all the staff was excellent. Also the Istanbul Kitchen has a lunch time menu, where you get a starter and a main for a great price. We will definitely go back.

Restaurante agradable, limpio, excelente comida, personal amable, gran selección de bebidas. Ah, y pan recién horneado 🤤. Mi familia y yo somos clientes habituales. Recomiendo su parrilla en particular.

Overall experience was average. Lentil soup was tasty, pide was good. Adana kebab and chicken kebab were okay. Did not like service, they were cleaning the kitchen side during our visit and it delayed our main course service. We informed them about timing at the end. The price/quality/service ratio didn’t match with our expectations, and the place was overpriced for us.

I recently dined at Istanbul kitchen , and it was a thoroughly disappointing experience. The service was horrendous; the staff seemed completely uninterested in providing any level of customer care. We had to wait an exorbitant amount of time for our food, despite the restaurant not being particularly busy. When the food finally arrived, it was not worth the high prices. My dish was bland and poorly prepared, lacking any of the flavors one would expect for the cost. My companion’s meal was similarly disappointing, with overcooked ingredients and a sloppy presentation. To add insult to injury, we discovered an extra surcharge on our bill. This unexpected fee seemed unfair and possibly illegal. When we questioned it, the staff was unhelpful and dismissive. Overall, Istanbul kitchen is a place to avoid. The poor service, substandard food, and questionable billing practices make it a restaurant I cannot recommend. Save your money and dine elsewhere.

Food was very salty. Probably it was prepared a day or so before. They were cleaning the restaurant while we were eating meaning that all the dust went on our food. The waitress looked very unhappy to be on the shift. I would definitely not eat there or from this restaurant again!

It is a very nice place to go and eat. Very spacious and quiet. Very prompt with service and polite. You get a good amount of food , very hearty and yummy. Overall, it was a very nice place to have dinner and unwind.

A very nice place to visit for your entertainment. Birthdays, weddings ceremonies and just a time out with families. Frank was a very approachable person who works in this restaurant. I recommend for anyone within bexleyheath.

The staff at this restaurant are miserable, they obviously do not want to work here. They look like they are totally disinterested in any of the customers. The food there used to be amazing but it’s gone downhill. The liver was tasty but the Mezes we ordered were tasteless and the salad was bland. They charged us a service charge too but they did not deserve it as the service was awful. We will not be returning. Money grabbing owner is trying to use the service charge to make more money. But He’s loosing customers.

We visited the restaurant today. The food was ok but. The shaksuka wa disgusting. It had no sauce. No salt ,no taste The staff were disinterested, they looked fed - up. Also our food came To ₺80.00 they charged us ₺10 service charge. I’m not sure what this was for as they were uninterested and seemed like they couldn’t be bothered. My family had a horrible visit to this restaurant.I ordered 2 burger and fries kids meals and was horrible.The top bun was practically burnt and the patty was tasteless,my children were disgusted by the food and got a stomach bug when we got home . A meal for 4 people was £80.00!I ordered a lamb shish and it was tasty.Workers were nice but complained about the mess we made.Overral I wish I could give it a 4 star but I wouldn't recommend taking your children to the restraunt.

The attitude and hospitality of this place is substandard, I have been treated with more respect in a franchised fast food restaurant. On the the occasions I have been here I have been talked to by staff in an unwelcoming way, dismissive and outright rude fashion, They utter incoherent remarks under their breath when asked for simple things such as another drink or to bring new plates & cutlery when the main dish is served, On one occasion the waitress walked off mid order in a frenzy of inaudible ranting because my younger brother couldn’t decide what to have from the menu,All simple requests expected within a working day at a busy restaurants. I suspect the place thinks it’s the Bees Knees as Bexleyheath doesn’t have much else to offer and the food is fairly nice so you get a Kudos there…However take the following on board with open ears. Having eaten in a lot of Michelin star restaurants and being a multiple business owner I know a thing or two about service and hospitality. This place is essentially a glorified kebab house which has stumbled across a good visible high street location. Tacky music mainstream pop music. Dirty laminated menu sheets (dirty enough that my hands got covered in some black powder?) Low quality overpriced drinks, Cheap Decor, Tableware fit for a kids part and all topped of with an extremely Poor staff attitude, I could on and pick out many more aspects however I’ll save my ink. If you learn to do business in the hospitality industry properly with just a pinch of class and respect for customers you will see much more revenue. I’m very far from a Karen & have a good moral compass with a balanced & fair view on everything, it takes a lot for me to unleash my wrath on a review such as this. Take this as constructive criticism rather if you are man enough to admit you have faults.

Got the hot prawns for starter had 3 prawns was Rock hard horrible main had a mix kebab that was dry over cooked and again horrible my partner food wasn’t nice either he wasn’t happy this place used to be lovely gone down hill wouldn’t be going again

Our first visit to Istanbul Kitchen in Bexleyheath was disappointing. Not only did the staff make us feel like an inconvenience, but the food was also mediocre at best. This combination led us to ask for the service charge to be removed, a first for us. It's unfortunate, as we had higher hopes for both the service and the culinary experience. The restaurant has a lot of potential, but significant improvements are needed in both food quality and customer service.

I very much enjoyed my visit to Istanbul kitchen this evening. I received excellent customer service by Mr Tolga. Me and my friends enjoyed the appetising foods. It was warm and freshly cooked. Overall I rate my experience 8/10.

The food arrived very cold and very dry!

£11 service charge was added for the worst service I have ever had. The food was ok. The salad was just lettuce and tomato nothing special where another reviewer said good thing about salad. Stuff was screaming or fighting in the kitchen.

He told us we were lying and that it wasn’t a fly. He then told us that we put the fly in the food (I don’t keep flies in my pocket). Manager (Mr Joe) was extremely aggressive and rude and tried snatching the receipt out of my hand and got in my face. After a heated argument we finally got my meal taken off the bill but as leaving got told continuously we are liars. What happend to the customer is always right? His behavior did not improve when I intervened; he merely switched to telling me to calm down while still failing to address our complaint adequately. It was clear that his approach to customer service was highly unprofessional, especially given the seriousness of our complaint. Such an experience has left us deeply dissatisfied, and we felt unwelcome and disrespected. We hoped for a pleasant dining experience but were met with distressing and confrontational service. I strongly feel that potential patrons should be aware of the possible service issues they might face at this establishment. AVOID AVOID

Really enjoyed my first visit to the Istanbul Kitchen and taking advantage of the lunch time offer they have for 2 courses. Everything was delicious! The portions were generous and came with the additions of bread, salad and sauces. I think it was such good value, teamed with good, quick service. I'll definitely be back again.

When Istanbul Kitchen first opened it was a refreshing change to Bexleyheath dining. Sadly the restaurant has declined although the service has not. Attentive staff make it work. The lamb was tough and hard to chew which marred the enjoyment, pity

Booked for 7:30 on Saturday night by which time the restaurant had the noise and clamour of a factory canteen. Between the pumping club music and the tightly-spaced tables you need to be prepared to shout at your friends just to make yourself heard across the table. Food was good but no substitutes permitted from what was offered on the menu. The food was served very quickly, suggesting a high degree of preparation in advance but not enough service staff to cover the tables. Had to chase the waiter for additional orders and for the final bill (when the additional order failed to appear). Portions were a good size but the prices are bordering on what we paid for the same food in Dubai - should have been 1/3 lower.

They used to make minced meat doner instead of leaf doner. It had a strong bad smell. I don't know what they added to the chicken doner, but it also had a strong bad smell too. They only brought two types of appetizers and salad, and I didn't like any of them. Normally, I would giveit one star, but the waiters were polite and the atmosphere was pleasant. The most annoying thing was that they charged 12.5% for service charges. I have never seen such a high charge anywhere in my life. I can say I was indirectly swindled.

I ACTUALLY REALLY LIKED THE FOOD, HOWEVER A MEMBER OF STAFF WAS RUDE WHEN I WAS LEAVING THE STORE, WHICH IS A SHAME BECAUSE NO OTHER MEMBER OF STAFF WAS RUDE. I OPENED THE GLASS DOOR TO GO OUT AND THEN I FELT A HAND ON MY SHOULDER PUSHING ME I TURNED AROUND AND SAW IT WAS A MEMBER OF STAFF I AM NOT SURE WHY HE FELT THE NEED TO PUSH ME WHEN I WAS ALREADY LEAVING THE STORE. IT WAS SO RANDOM I WAS IN SHOCK WHEN HE DID IT, I CAME TO THE STORE WITH A GROUP OF FRIENDS WE WERE LEAVING ALREADY THIS MAN STOOD BY THE DOOR AND RUDELY THOUGHT IT WAS HIS DUTY TO USHER THEM OUT. I WAS ACTUALLY THE FIRST PERSON TO MAKE MY WAY TO THE DOOR AND I OPENED IT I WAS JUST ABOUT TO OPEN THE SECOND GLASS DOOR WHICH IS THE EXIT DOOR WHEN I FELT HIS HAND PUSH ME IT WASN'T A HARD PUSH SO I IGNORED IT AND WALKED OUT BUT I THOUGHT IT WAS RUDE NEVERTHELESS, HE ALSO HAD BLACK INDUSTRIAL GLOVES ON I DON'T IF THEY WERE USE IN THE FOOD PREP OR FOR CLEANING, BUT IF THEY WERE HE SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN TOUCHING ME WITH THEM.
