Great restaurant, great staff, great wines, and THE WORLD'S BEST LAMB SARMA BEYTI !!!!!!!!! Some Turkish restaurants just can't make this dish well, but Istanbul Kitchen are consistently 100% on it! My husband and I eat here regularly, and everything we've ordered has all been amazing!

Nice, clean restaurant, excellent food, friendly staff, great selection of drinks. Oh, and freshly baked bread 🤤. My family and I are now regular customers. I do recommend their grill in particular.

I recently dined at Istanbul kitchen , and it was a thoroughly disappointing experience. The service was horrendous; the staff seemed completely uninterested in providing any level of customer care. We had to wait an exorbitant amount of time for our food, despite the restaurant not being particularly busy. When the food finally arrived, it was not worth the high prices. My dish was bland and poorly prepared, lacking any of the flavors one would expect for the cost. My companion’s meal was similarly disappointing, with overcooked ingredients and a sloppy presentation. To add insult to injury, we discovered an extra surcharge on our bill. This unexpected fee seemed unfair and possibly illegal. When we questioned it, the staff was unhelpful and dismissive. Overall, Istanbul kitchen is a place to avoid. The poor service, substandard food, and questionable billing practices make it a restaurant I cannot recommend. Save your money and dine elsewhere.

The food was nice, however.... Their customer service is V poor. A Turkish family, sat near to us, were served quicker AND were offered the dessert menu. We seemed to have been ignored, after our mains. When we questioned if they did desserts, they showed us the 'complimentary 'Turkish Delight, that was given with the bill. When my wife questioned Is, the waitress told her 'she didn't speak very good English' We won't be going back!

Food was very salty. Probably it was prepared a day or so before. They were cleaning the restaurant while we were eating meaning that all the dust went on our food. The waitress looked very unhappy to be on the shift. I would definitely not eat there or from this restaurant again!

It is a very nice place to go and eat. Very spacious and quiet. Very prompt with service and polite. You get a good amount of food , very hearty and yummy. Overall, it was a very nice place to have dinner and unwind.

A very nice place to visit for your entertainment. Birthdays, weddings ceremonies and just a time out with families. Frank was a very approachable person who works in this restaurant. I recommend for anyone within bexleyheath.

We visited the restaurant today. The food was ok but. The shaksuka wa disgusting. It had no sauce. No salt ,no taste The staff were disinterested, they looked fed - up. Also our food came To ₺80.00 they charged us ₺10 service charge. I’m not sure what this was for as they were uninterested and seemed like they couldn’t be bothered. I do not recommend this restaurant. If I could give less stars. I would.

The staff at this restaurant are miserable, they obviously do not want to work here. They look like they are totally disinterested in any of the customers. The food there used to be amazing but it’s gone downhill. The liver was tasty but the Mezes we ordered were tasteless and the salad was bland. They charged us a service charge too but they did not deserve it as the service was awful. We will not be returning. Money grabbing owner is trying to use the service charge to make more money. But He’s loosing customers.

My family had a horrible visit to this restaurant.I ordered 2 burger and fries kids meals and was horrible.The top bun was practically burnt and the patty was tasteless,my children were disgusted by the food and got a stomach bug when we got home . A meal for 4 people was £80.00!I ordered a lamb shish and it was tasty.Workers were nice but complained about the mess we made.Overral I wish I could give it a 4 star but I wouldn't recommend taking your children to the restraunt.

The attitude and hospitality of this place is substandard, I have been treated with more respect in a franchised fast food restaurant. On the the occasions I have been here I have been talked to by staff in an unwelcoming way, dismissive and outright rude fashion, They utter incoherent remarks under their breath when asked for simple things such as another drink or to bring new plates & cutlery when the main dish is served, On one occasion the waitress walked off mid order in a frenzy of inaudible ranting because my younger brother couldn’t decide what to have from the menu,All simple requests expected within a working day at a busy restaurants. I suspect the place thinks it’s the Bees Knees as Bexleyheath doesn’t have much else to offer and the food is fairly nice so you get a Kudos there…However take the following on board with open ears. Having eaten in a lot of Michelin star restaurants and being a multiple business owner I know a thing or two about service and hospitality. This place is essentially a glorified kebab house which has stumbled across a good visible high street location. Tacky music mainstream pop music. Dirty laminated menu sheets (dirty enough that my hands got covered in some black powder?) Low quality overpriced drinks, Cheap Decor, Tableware fit for a kids part and all topped of with an extremely Poor staff attitude, I could on and pick out many more aspects however I’ll save my ink. If you learn to do business in the hospitality industry properly with just a pinch of class and respect for customers you will see much more revenue. I’m very far from a Karen & have a good moral compass with a balanced & fair view on everything, it takes a lot for me to unleash my wrath on a review such as this. Take this as constructive criticism rather if you are man enough to admit you have faults.

Got the hot prawns for starter had 3 prawns was Rock hard horrible main had a mix kebab that was dry over cooked and again horrible my partner food wasn’t nice either he wasn’t happy this place used to be lovely gone down hill wouldn’t be going again

Had to change my review With outstanding bad service and rudeness, we kept giving this restaurant a chance as it was local but today they lost us as customers and our social circle. This service charge is disgraceful and the worst thing is they will shame you infront of the whole restaurant if you decide to not pay something that’s your choice to pay or not. We have Never really liked this restaurant truth be told much better meze style restaurants about then here better prices better service and not money grabbing

Our first visit to Istanbul Kitchen in Bexleyheath was disappointing. Not only did the staff make us feel like an inconvenience, but the food was also mediocre at best. This combination led us to ask for the service charge to be removed, a first for us. It's unfortunate, as we had higher hopes for both the service and the culinary experience. The restaurant has a lot of potential, but significant improvements are needed in both food quality and customer service.

I very much enjoyed my visit to Istanbul kitchen this evening. I received excellent customer service by Mr Tolga. Me and my friends enjoyed the appetising foods. It was warm and freshly cooked. Overall I rate my experience 8/10.

Manager (Mr Joe) was extremely aggressive and rude and tried snatching the receipt out of my hand and got in my face. After a heated argument we finally got my meal taken off the bill but as leaving got told continuously we are liars. What happend to the customer is always right? Really enjoyed my first visit to the Istanbul Kitchen and taking advantage of the lunch time offer they have for 2 courses. Everything was delicious! The portions were generous and came with the additions of bread, salad and sauces. I think it was such good value, teamed with good, quick service. I'll definitely be back again.

When Istanbul Kitchen first opened it was a refreshing change to Bexleyheath dining. Sadly the restaurant has declined although the service has not. Attentive staff make it work. The lamb was tough and hard to chew which marred the enjoyment, pity

Booked for 7:30 on Saturday night by which time the restaurant had the noise and clamour of a factory canteen. Between the pumping club music and the tightly-spaced tables you need to be prepared to shout at your friends just to make yourself heard across the table. Food was good but no substitutes permitted from what was offered on the menu. The food was served very quickly, suggesting a high degree of preparation in advance but not enough service staff to cover the tables. Had to chase the waiter for additional orders and for the final bill (when the additional order failed to appear). Portions were a good size but the prices are bordering on what we paid for the same food in Dubai - should have been 1/3 lower.

Had a fantastic time, food was amazing and vibes were top tier. Ali, who served our table also provided an excellent service during our time there. Would definitely recommend.

They used to make minced meat doner instead of leaf doner. It had a strong bad smell. I don't know what they added to the chicken doner, but it also had a strong bad smell too. They only brought two types of appetizers and salad, and I didn't like any of them. Normally, I would giveit one star, but the waiters were polite and the atmosphere was pleasant. The most annoying thing was that they charged 12.5% for service charges. I have never seen such a high charge anywhere in my life. I can say I was indirectly swindled.

This was a lovely and very accommodating restaurant . Staff was very helpful and cheerful and helped made my cousins birthday special. Food was delicious and service was exceptional , thank you for the patience in dealing with a large group of people :)

IT WAS SO RANDOM I WAS IN SHOCK WHEN HE DID IT, I CAME TO THE STORE WITH A GROUP OF FRIENDS WE WERE LEAVING ALREADY THIS MAN STOOD BY THE DOOR AND RUDELY THOUGHT IT WAS HIS DUTY TO USHER THEM OUT. I WAS ACTUALLY THE FIRST PERSON TO MAKE MY WAY TO THE DOOR AND I OPENED IT I WAS JUST ABOUT TO OPEN THE SECOND GLASS DOOR WHICH IS THE EXIT DOOR WHEN I FELT HIS HAND PUSH ME IT WASN'T A HARD PUSH SO I IGNORED IT AND WALKED OUT BUT I THOUGHT IT WAS RUDE NEVERTHELESS, HE ALSO HAD BLACK INDUSTRIAL GLOVES ON I DON'T IF THEY WERE USE IN THE FOOD PREP OR FOR CLEANING, BUT IF THEY WERE HE SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN TOUCHING ME WITH THEM.

We’ve eaten at the restaurant twice and had a home delivery twice now. The food has always been amazing. Unfortunately, we’ve just had a home delivery and the food is stone cold. Called to tell them and the person who took the call could not careless. The meal was £41 so not cheap. Very disappointed ☹️ Yes the meal was with yogurt but last time it turned up hot. I’ve had this meal before and the meat part of it was hot, not stone cold! You are omitting to mention that we also ordered a hot prawn dish which was also cold. You have not packaged the dishes correctly for home delivery. I would prefer my money back as this was very very unsatisfactory and your customer service disgusting quiet frankly.

Went to this restaurant this evening I've just moved to the area was so disgusting the owner and 2 workers refused to serve me and my 5 kids the place was empty and thay said sorry u haft to make a reservation 3 days in advance that's is just stupidy I will not be returning but my solicitor will be im so upset I've just moved to this area and decorating so went out for food to be refused is disgusting u will hear from my solicitor soon bad attitude Discriminating 2 of the kids r twins and r new born and he wouldn't even hold the door to let us out shame on u the owner and shame on ur rude staff

Very disappointing. Took 2 friends here with us, unable to get in our normal choice of restsurant, thought we would try it out. Having lived in Turkey, and my hubby is a Turk and a chef, we were excited to get some good food. First waiter ok, then another took our food order. Very loud in there, not ideal for a romantic meal, or a quire place. Bread, salad, dips etc brought to table, all very nice. Then came mains, 2 had ordered combination dish of chicken shish and adana kebab. What came was lamb shish and adana, not big worry, but order was wrong. Both didn't eat the adana, it was bland and very get dry. One other in our party had combination of chicken shish, and donner, this was ok. Mine, I ordered chicken Govec, this cooked in a earthenware dish in a oven, was to gave onions, aubergine, peppers potatoes inside. When it came, it was in a ceramic dish, not oven cooked, but pan fried, peppers, onions hard, not cooked enough, chicken ok, but totally tasteless. On their menu they have chicken tava, which us a pan fried option. When waiter called over by husband, as I said us a chef, and cooks these dishes, mentioned about my meal, we had ro laugh, he said yes mine was govec (not) as it has aubergines in? Didn't want to know, also was mentioned dryness of meat etc. So, I ate the chicken that's all, though tasteless, no sslt, pepper, seasoning in the Dish. The 2 adana kebsbs left also, requested doggie bag, our dog though has since appreciated the food from there 😄 Our guest were paying bill, a thank you to us, for staying at our home etc. They refused to pay the service charge. We will not visit again 😒 If you have not eaten these meals before, you may think they are ok. Who knows! But it's first time In 35 years I ever been so disappointed eating Turkush food. Husband was disgusted with it. Can't tick below, the what would we recommend, as nothing we ate was that good, honestly.

Delicious Food, quick service and value for money. BUT, we were served an additional two sides of Fries (chips) without asking for it. We took them thinking it was complementary or part of our original order since we had ordered lot of items, and it was an unpleasant surprise to see that we were charged for these fries! Apparently this is a known scam in Turkey, and disappointed to see it happens in London too! Be very careful when you order and do not take it for granted that the fries or other side dishes are free with your order (they will serve bread & salad for free!)

Our go to spot for a quick local munch for my little family! We love it here, the food is just spot on! Every now and then we would say we crave to come here! I always order the ribs, hubby orders the lamb chops and little one loves his little kids menu 😁 The best ever, very delicious. I love how we get offered their delicious Turkish sweets after, good customers service too. I highly recommend this place, you won’t be disappointed!

First time here with my son and we both had a great time. The staff was friendly and attentive. No waiting for orders or drinks. And most important the food was amazing!! Even took takeaway with left overs. That great my son and I will go back for our mum and son day every month.

I absolutely love their salads. Food is always tasty, fresh and the staff amazing. Two times I’ve been there out of a few we’ve coincidentally have ad a big birthday table. Very loud but if you’re sensitive to loud noise then just put your earphones or AirPods on. It gets louder but the foods worth it.

The food was absolutely awful, Donor Kebab was stale and tasted old which we did mention this to a member of staff, Would not return again, waste of money.

We had lahmacun and it was terrible. They were not fresh, obviously made earlier, cooked long ago and to make them hot, they were put in microwave and served. They were absolutely bad.

Place definitely overpriced, especially drinks, £7.95 for mojito moctail( lemonade plus some ice cubes with few mint leaves!)It wasn’t even tasty!They used to serve big portions and lovely complimentary salad before your meal, not anymore! Salad was poor, iceberg lettuce with some tomatoes pieces and balsamic vinegar! A z5 year old could make better!only one piece of bread to share In between 3 of us. What happened to this place??It used to be lively welcoming place, always packed! Brought my friend here for a weekday meal as ive been a few times before and always had brilliant service and food . Tonight wasnt so good . I work in hospitallity so i no that dietry requirements and allerges are a must . But my dietry requirements were over looked and i was told nothing could be done . Not a happy customer so will not be re visiting such a shame

I ordered from the lunch menu. It used to be like £11.50 however with inflation it’s now £13. Nether the less I was able to get a starter and main. Bread and medium salad were included. Feta borek starter and chicken wings mains. I asked for my wings to be well done which is how I prefer them. I was stuffed by the end had to take a little home. Happy for the price and tasted good.

Booked my 60th birthday meal at this restaurant after reading the reviews. The reviews must have been from their family, the main dishes come with salad the salad is a bit of lettuce, the monkfish wasn't monkfish and it was cooked badly, the cocktails were watery and the Irish coffee was horrible. For the price I paid for my meal £82 was not worth it. I wouldn't recommend this place, staff were not friendly.

Although my daughter has been here before it was my first time. A meal for a birthday treat. Good menu, pleasant staff, got a bit noisy later when place started to fill up. Liked the free appertizers. 2 of us had Halloumi & Sucuk as starters, well cooked and very tasty, good portion size. My daughter started with Patlican Ezme, looked nice and a fair size. I had the lamb guvec, really nice, well cooked, plenty of lamb. My daughter had Chicken Shish, fair size portion, looked great. Her partner went for the Chicken & Lamb Doner, again looked great and good portion. 3 Efes and a large white plus bottle of warer. £102. Fair price for the spread.

Beautiful f@#*ing BBQ. My fourth visit and this place is my new favorite. The food is so good, I like to get my hands dirty so I have gone for the lamb ribs or chicken wings when I have ordered so far. I must say they have been more divine each time. The staff seem really cool and welcoming, the place itself looks really clean, plus the food is the bo%=@cks. This was such a lovely restaurant, had never tried Turkish food before so didn't know if I would like it but now I have I would come back to this place, food was so nice. Went for a family birthday party and the staff were really nice, played happy birthday and joined in when we all sung.

Would probably give 5star but the coffee was lukewarm. Friends whisky coffee was in a glass cup half full and cold. Object to paying 12 1/2% service charge and drinks highly expensive

The starter was fine the Expensive fish was burnt. The donner meat was stale. and dry . Salad was ok. I personally will never eat here again.. My friends have used before hence going back.. But even they left the shish meat it was tuff.. The local foxes had a good feed we took a doggy bag.and left on the field. Near friends house

Had a nice lunch menu meal (even though wasn’t given the lunch menu only main menu!) BUT £2.75 they wanted for hot water !!!!! Not going again
