Istanbul Grill (New Management) in Havant

I have been ordering from here for years and years now, and i got my usual the other day (xl doner and kofte) and the portion size was about half of what it used to be, definitely not worthy of being called an extra large! I complained about it on the night and was ignored. I then ordered the same again in case it was just a one time mistake but portions were small again.

Delivery was on time. Unfortunately the food wasn’t great. Doner kebab wasn’t great as it tasted like it could have been from last night possibly. The chicken looked lovely but was very dry.

Delivery is always quick, food fresh and delicious. Fantastic kabab house.

Says under new management so thought we would give it a try and was pleasantly surprised, very nice kebabs 👍👍

Food arrived on time. But a chicken dinner full of mushrooms? I asked to add burger cheese and was chartered £3.50 for 5 slices.. greed drives away regular customers

Really nice kebab shop stop using them a few years back but thought we would give it another try as new management glad we did as everything is really tasty especially the shish kebab really tasty.

What can I say. Best kebab ever. Small doner with onions and garlic sauce. The onions were shredded and plentiful, as was the sauce. And it was hot. Also, bought 2 burgers and some chips. All lovely and all hot. And the best bit? All the cartons were recyclable. And I love their order site. Easy to use and able to specify what you want added to kebab/burger. 3 times now the food is late delivering and freezing cold. Will no longer use as only 5 minutes from my house. Appalling service and don’t recommend to use for delivery.

This is quite possibly the worst restaurant you could ever order from. Seriously, you should starve rather than going here.

Food arrived cold, complained and was told this was untrue and they wouldn’t do anything about it. Terrible, arrogant service. Avoid this kebab shop they are terrible at customer service and do not care about their customers. Avoid and go elsewhere, plenty of other better kebab shops in the area

Feels kind of uninviting inside and we just had chicken kebabs, and the chilli sauce was not nice at all. It tasted like it was mixed with Heinz BBQ sauce not at all authentic that you would expect from a kebab shop.

Take away chicken kebab, really good salad portion and great chilli sauce. Nb. Cash only.

Don't take card. And it's 2023. Be realistic.

I just order chicken doner wraps and large chicken doner kebabs when i move from london to cowplaing I things best kebab shop here I really liked chicken doner thank you very much I will order again soon

Regular customer for years, But tonight I have been compelled to write a review, XL Lamb Doner All Salad and Jalapenos with Chilli sauce and a side of fries, Ordered and delivered in 8 minutes and was spanking cheers for the great service see you next week :-)

Pretty disappointing considering we spent nearly £40.00. The food was cold and and completely swimming in chilli sauce. Surely there is a way to deliver my food reasonably hot? Everyone else can!

I have been a loyal customer for years and now is a good time for that to stop. The quality and portion sizes have dwindled to the point of no return. Very disappointed!

I wouldn't even give them a 1 star just got my order and it's wrong for a start and I got kebab it turned up not in a box but in the paper they are an absolute joke shouldn't never order from here wouldn't recommend it at all I'm never coming back again

We ordered ‘the shop’ last night. Everything was spot on and delivered quickly.

Nice food my mum orders from here a lot and today I got cheesy chips, they were really nice and well cooked, the guy on the phone was cool as well. Maybe next time just add a little more cheese to my chips 😉 5/5 would recommend them!

We are regular customers of Istanbull in Waterlooville because they are excellent. They are fast fresh and good size portiond great value for money. Well done to the New Management not been disapointed yet

I have been using this place twice a week for years... tonight the delivery driver gets lost. The food arrives cold and greasy. So I call them ,to complain,their phone manner is disgusting,the guy tells me it can't be cold, and won't swap it for hot food replacement, we'll good bye Istanbul grill I wont be back.. but I will be contacting H.B.C ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH in the morning.. cant believe you let loyal customers go and treat them this way.. disgusting place Your response is lies the food was cold... and you were not prepared to do anything about it.. so that shows what you think of your loyal customers.. but hey that's your loss my friend and good luck with environmental health tomorrow selaam elikeem

Be careful when getting food from them they don't clean there hands after going to the toilet and being so rude to the customer and using bad language to the ladies that go in the shop

As I live nearby I went there to place my order early evening time. I had a small doner kebab . The meat was hot & tasty & tender . Generous portion of meat and salad topped with lovely chilli sauce. I thoroughly enjoyed it, nothing was left. Well wrapped for me to take home.

Bought a kebab last night reheated it in the morning gave me food poisoning threw up everywhere

Food is brilliant. Just had a pizza turn up hoping it was lamb doner with chillies and onions but was chicken and chilli. Also got can of coke instead of doctor pepper but tasted good. I'm more of a fan of lamb. Would go again but please don't mix up my order again..

I ordered food and my order was cancelled yet I was billed for the order anyway. I they refuse to refund me instead telling me I have to contact the company who they use as a billing agent. That company has me on hold and never answer. So I am left with no choice but to get my bank involved. I did give them a chance the next day and ordered again and this time my order was delivered but was disgusting as in the chips were hard and I just bin the food. Of course I am not saying their food is always disgusting but the fact that when a customer orders food and they cancel the order and offer no support for the customer to get their money back tells me they do not care. They refuse to accept responsibility even though my bank statement clearly states their business name. My advice is order in person or pay using cash because if you order online and something goes wrong they will not lift a finger to help even though they have your money.

Kind enough to give us a free kebab for being essential workers working on drain nearby. Delicious and lovely chilli sauce. Thank you guys ♥️

I ordered from here on recommendation, but we were not pleased. 1st: I asked for the salad to come in seperate boxes for 2 x kebabs, but they did not send us any, so I rang back and asked for it. That took another 7 minutes to arrive, meaning we had to heat up the meal as it started to go cold. The salad that we were given was lettuce, 2 half slices of cucumber and 2 wedges of tomato and a few pieces of large slices of onion. 2nd: The chips were only warm on arrival not hot. 3rd: and most dissapointing, the lamb shish and chicken shish meat was over cooked and dry. I would not recommend and will not be buying from here again.

Had some food from here when I was out on a delivery, food was terrible. Never again!!

Our food never turned up despite the delivery status being changed to delivered on just eat. Got given so very suspect excuse about why it hadn't been deliver. Apparently the road was closed they are less than 2 miles from my house there are no road closures anywhere near me. They then offered to send another driver out to deliver my food I'm assuming the mystical road works have been packed up in the time it took to come to this decision. I declined and asked for a refund. I'm now enjoying a KFC for half the money. But 2 hours after my initial order. Very poor service do not use.

Just received our order my partners burger had no mayo and like no cheese in the burger my friends chicken didn’t taste right at all and I ordered a ice cream vanilla flavour they sent out a peanut butter crunch and informed us they had ran out of the vanilla one, i have a peanut allergy and I’m also pregnant this is completely out of order as they should have rung up and asked if there was another flavour I would have liked We are all very disappointed with the service and the food and will never be ordering from them again

Extremely unfriendly personnel and bad food. To buy something at this place once is once too much.

Had chicken and was like rubber and stinken and staff are so rude. Why on earth did we call in here for. Never again, mate had pizza and it was rubber. This place thinks they can cook food from any country in the world. Give up and just close.

Bought large donor and small chicken kebab. Lamb donor tasted like rubber and chicken tasted weird and cold too. Don't waste your money. Vile.

I will not be ordering from the just eat app or maybe shop due to my pizza base was stale and my the just eat app didnt ask if my partners kebab wanted salad.. i am disgusted with this result 😠

Just ordered a wrap which didn't have any salad or sauce, just a few bits of chicken in a wrap. Noticed it looked flimsy and so we checked. Called them who explained it wasn't their fault because we hadn't picked salad and sauce however we didn't have a choice to pick them, only to pay for extra cheese for £1. So they suggested to call JustEat because it's a problem with the app. Called JustEat who were really helpful and understandable and explained that the shops allocate what to put on their page and so it could be their fault or shops fault. They called Istanbul grill if they could send another wrap (we explained that we could give the other wrap back) but they refused and said that if they send another, they will charge us again. So JustEat offered us a voucher for next time. The food was fine however I'm really disappointed in Istanbul grill because I've always gone with them and been a loyal customer however I'm now quite devious to order from them again, not because of their food, because of their service.
