Istanbul Fish House & Charcoal Grill in Dover

Dinner meat and chips- arriving at the shop it was very quiet, no customers. The Doner meat had clearly been carved at an earlier date, and left to stew in the metal pot. At the time of eating the meat had stewed all the flavour out and was completely tasteless and soggy. Given how quiet the shop was, I felt this was very lazy and lead to a bad experience.

Another excellent t kebab. Always use this shop and highly recommend it. Lovely food and delivered fast. Can not fault anything. Very very good and value for money.

first time and the worst food ever what i can chilli should be red not orange and my little 5 year old son found a hair in the chips i called up there and his telling me sorry because it was very bussy loool theres nathing to do with bussy or no bussy what kinda hygenie clean they have if in the chips was hair 0 - 10

Istanbul kebab house , you need to fix up ordered tonight 22/4/23 Clarendon Place, Dover, tonight's food is a disgrace, I would usually rate you ok but tonight was very poor , combined lamb and shish doner, stone cold meat dry and your portions are getting small , I will check at door next time and if its like this time you will be getting it back , and I will find another kebab shop in dover and never use you again ,I will also let all my friends know how poor your food is getting , you can not call that chill sauce more like chill mash potato, thought you turks were supposed to know how to make a kebab , d

Absolutely delicious food, and very well-priced! We were visiting Dover the other week and sort of stumbled across Istanbul Kebab House as we were hunting for fish and chips. There is a sign on the restaurant that says fish and chips, which is a bit misleading as fish and chips are not on the menu (perhaps the sign is outdated?). But my father-in-law (who I've concluded has a sixth sense for good hole-in-the-wall restaurants) got the family value meal (a huge platter of lamb and beef doner and chicken kebabs, soft pitas, salad, choice of two sauces, and a 2 liter of soda) for 30 quid, and we split it between four of us. It was some of the best food I've ever had, and although we ate it all in one sitting I think we could have easily made two meals out of the meat! My mouth is watering now just thinking about it. The next time we are in Dover we will for sure be back! I'd also like to try the pizza place right beside it (which we gathered was owned/run by the same family).

Disappointing kebab and chilli sauces Tried instanbul grill as a change through just eat, and was extremely disappointed. Meat was tasteless and chilli sauce disappointing. On a positive portion size was good, just not enjoyable to eat.
