Nando's in Dover

The staff were really friendly and welcoming, that made this visit stand out among my visits to other nandos restaurants

We had only eaten at a Nando once before several years ago and had forgotten the process. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and our food was delicious. Will use Nando again.

Popped in prior to picking daughter up from cadets. Only one waitress on the floor. Cutlery presented in dishwasher cage things. Very tattty and no choice of sauces. Food was almost instant, however, my choice appeared as though it had been just bunged together with no care over presentation. Husband was satisfied. Wish I had stuck with Taco Bell next door at considerable less price and better quality. Very poor tbh

Preparations were being made to close the restaurant more than an hour before the official time. We got the impression that the staff wanted to discourage any more diners and get rid of those already present.

Great branch of Nandos l, usually pretty quick service, helpful staff and great dining experience.

If you love chicken, then I would recommend Nandos 😋.

Visited on a Thursday evening which was pleasantly quiet. Usual good standard to be expected at most Nandos. Friendly staff too

Service is not required as you order yourself with the QR code, however they do bring it out to you though 😅 The food was good had the eat as much ice cream with a cone but need sprinkles

Freezing cold! The waiter showed us to a table next to the "side" door, and people kept walking in and out, and all we could smell was cigarette smoke!

Had an impromptu meal with family here. My first Nandos experience for twenty years. We were greeted warmly at the door and shown to our seats. Everything was available from the menu. Our food was cooked with care and was served with a smile. The team at this Nandos were like a well oiled machine. Really tasty meal, I was surprised at how good it was. Super tasty. Had been to the restaurant on a saturday evening. The ambience was good and so was the service. I ordered a lot of food for one person as I'm a person with a huge appetite and I could notice the service lady implicitly judging me :) Speaking of the food, nothing much to say. It was nandos and they delivered it as always. Succulent, scrumptious, well done quality chicken as always. I had ordered their boneless sharing platter. It is a banger and can easily serve 2 with a normal appetite. It was my first time trying their grilled halloumi and fried sweet potato wedges and I must say I was pleasantly surprised by how well the sweet potato wedges turned out to be. In terms of taste, texture and portion. It is so underrated and is definitely my go to next time. Halloumi wasn't the best I've had. Coming to their sides, I had 4 regular sides with the sharing platter. Them being, steamed broccoli, coleslaw, potato mash & Portuguese salad. They all turned out to be expected and were good. The portuguese salad was new for me and I would recommend you to try it if you haven't had one at nandos before.

I have been here 3 times and 2 of them were diabolical. Just slow to do anything. Food sits on the pass for way too long and becomes cold and tough. A fire alarm went off during one of my visits and the staff in the kitchen was joking and laughing about it. Just not very professional. Lack of leadership and training. I have eaten in most of the Nando’s in Kent I think 14 out of the 16 in Kent and this is definitely the worst one. I know it’s busy with deliveries but the customer in the restaurant is being forgotten about and that’s not good business. My most recent experience was today and it was quiet, and was the best so far but staff still seemed lost, no soap in the bathrooms and air con is dripping everywhere.

Service was appalling, people coming in far after us, while we sat waiting to get starters and mains all thrown out together.

Incredibly beautiful, modern ambience, delicious food, everyone was friendly, highly recommended if you've ever been to stupid.

I ordered a takeaway yesterday for myself, husband and son. When the food arrived it looked over cooked, but having paid £60 for a meagre amount of food we pressed on. We all now wish we hadn't. Within two hours my son came down with a bad stomach (he has a very sturdy tummy) and this morning both my partner and I have had severe stomach pains and upset tummies and my son's bad tummy has continued. I would urge Nando's to look into their food hygiene and preparation. My other half never gets an upset stomach, so this must have been a pretty horrible bug. I'm afraid I won't be buying from Nando's again, and feel completely let down spending £60 on something that has left us poorly. Why do Dover restaurants consistently deliver bad takeaways, where is the pride? We just want decent food that doesn't make us sick.

The experience was good, the food was nice, and the guy that seated us, called Quinn, was really lovely. Although the whole service was really nice, Quinn was especially kind.

The nice thing about nandos is you're always guaranteed a good meal, and there's nothing different about the one at St James'.

It was a descent venue and atmosphere in the centre of Dover.

Nice food. But not nice eating there. They gave the 5 of us a table for 3 persons. It was hectic and unpleasant. Butvthe food tasted nice

waited 45 minutes for the food to come out then it be wrong. chicken looked abit under cooked. wasn't pleased with the service as everyone around us that came in after us got there food but we didn't. and the mrs feels extremely ill after eating the food

I wouldn't say that Nando's is one of the best chain of restaurants but food fills a hole. That's all I would say.

My pregnant wife just threw thew the meal up and the chicken was not cook and my food turn up to my table when the restaurant only had 4 people in the chefs was too busy flirting the waitresses and my coleslaw turned up hot

Did lunch on our Dover day trip. Even if it was a weekday, place was quite full and took almost 20 minutes to get seated. Food is great, like other Nando’s. Ambiance is nice.

Put in a collection order for 9 wasent ready till 930 ordered periperi chips got plain ones and the garlic bread was burnt

Bad from start to finish. It wasn't that busy, so I didn't expect to have to wait long. We ordered drinks, the waitress forgot them and eventually had to get up and ask for them. The food when it eventually arrived was OK. When visiting the ladies room, one cubical was flooded and the other dirty with toilet roll all over the floor. Dirty and disgusting. Will not be rushing back to this restaurant anytime soon.

Second worst Nandos I have visited but staff seem pleasant. Unfortunately, I think the main issue with this Nandos is inexperience and I suspect a large turnover of staff. I attended as a family of four with two young kids. We wanted a booth so the kids couldn't run around. Even though there was two empty booths, these were apparently reserved. When these people arrived and used these areas I was not happy to see that they were given to pairs. I.e one pair was given a booth that could fit 6. This shows a lack of common sense from the staff. We placed our orders on the app. I ordered a bottomless. After 15 minutes, they brought the glass and walked away. It was covered in lipstick. When I pointed it out, they laughed. This should have been seen before giving me the glass and walking away. Wife ordered a glass of white wine and then was told they have not got any and she had to pick an alternative drink. The kids food was ordered before my food and arrived a long time after mine. after 25 minutes, I noted that the food had been sitting on the hot plate for about 10 minutes. I decided to go and get it myself but a cook told me that they were still waiting for cucumber. The food then had to sit on the hot plate for a further 10 minutes whilst they got cucumber. No apology given. Food was also only Luke warm due to the wait. All in all, it would have been nice if they offered something for all the issues. I got the feeling that there is a high turnover of staff at this branch and they just don't care.

Delicious food but staff looks tired and without enthusiasm.

Used to be a fan of Nando’s, used to be a relatively affordable meal out but for just shy of £50 for mains and a starter to share and a couple of drinks it was definitely not. Would have been okay with this if the food was good but the best part was the humus and pitta which was defo not made in house. Chicken was dry and so over cooked the knives were not cutting into it well. Chips came lukewarm at best. Staff were okay but a couple of inattentive people working there kinda ruined it. Overall not fancying going back anytime soon. If you’re in Dover you should try Aspendos or Il Rustico instead, better food, service, and value for money.

Delicious as always! The staff here are all really kind and helpful, and nothing is too much trouble. Food is good, as with all Nandos outlets, but this one takes particular care and precision with their dishes. The Fino Pitta and Sunset Burger are my favourites.

Nandos located at the St James's Park, has a serene atmosphere for you to enjoy your meal. Lovely staffs to attend to you when you visit the outlet.

Nice nandos, can be quite cold in there if you go on a chilly evening, seating comfi and clean, food is what you would expect from nando s, it's not the best, staff can leave your order sat on side and just socialise instead of delivering it to table, hopefully this may prod management to hurry them along Well it's a little quicker now days, got take away last night not a long wait, wrap was really good, the chip portion was very stingy

Was sat around for a hour waiting for food to then be told that the order didn’t go through to the person cooking the food so had to wait another 30 minutes on top of the hour I had already waited, wasn’t offered anything complimentary for their mistake yes it was a busy night but I’ve been there on busier nights and got my food within 30 minutes of ordering….

Our first time going to Nandos & the service was fantastic & are amazing with catering for allergies. Look forward to going again 😊

As always very happy and full ! Manager on duty very on point, friendly and professional. Food spot on. We had wings, livers and desserts. All just how we like it. It’s a very busy Saturday afternoon. ( 6pm table 23 with ) but we didn’t even had to wait that long at all. We have been here many times and we keep coming back. All staff is superb 👌

My boyfriend and I have been eating at Nandos in Dover a few times a month since it opened and we've only had one occasion where food took ages. The other 99% of times, everything has been spot on. The staff are lovely, the place is clean, food is served quick and always delicious. Highly recommended!

What can I say. Nandos here was amazing. Living up to it's name. Very fresh, hot and tasty.

Clean, spacious, well decorated & well lit. Food absolutely great as a dine-in option or as take-out. Usually has plenty seating available. Keto options possible!

I was there for around two hours because my phone was dead and I had a train to catch. The staff was really nice, found me a charging station and I could wait there patiently. Thanks guys!

I'm really wondering what happened to Nando's in Dover. I've been dining there for years, but in the past few months, the quality of this restaurant has deteriorated dramatically. Almost weekly, the butterfly chicken is out of stock. Today is Friday, 7pm January 25, and once again, there's no butterfly chicken. Whoever is responsible for the orders is doing something wrong. Additionally, the fries are often very soft and not crispy at all. If you order double fries as a side, you get a little more than one portion on your plate. Outrageous! The sides are often burnt too black or not well cooked. I'm really wondering what has happened here. Only the staff remains friendly. As a long-time customer, I will not be returning for the time being, very unfortunate!

Standard nandos get what you pay for, busy the staff do a great job. Over priced chicken but we still enjoy it.

I went there early. Around 11:30am for a spot of lunch and there was only one other table, so very quiet as expected. The chicken was sublimely cooked. I mean, I've had a lot of Nandos all over the country. This was perfection. Chips were good also. The staff were really polite and when I said about my coeliac they dealt with it perfectly. If you fancy a juicy, perfectly seasoned hot meal of chicken; this is the Best. I only dropped one star for atmosphere as it was empty. You can change that.

Visited today with family and seated instantly at lunchtime, really friendly staff and we were looked after by Cam who made us feel very welcome. Mum's coeliac and my son is still exploring his food tastes but they made everything perfectly and quickly too. Cheers Cam and great to meet you and your colleagues!

Update 25th September 2023: We have now been coming to this Nando’s for the past few years and can safely say it’s the best in the area. The food is always fast and cooked beautifully, it is always clean and the staff are brilliant. I must also mention a staff member in particular who has been here for quite a while, Nicole. She has provided us amazing service time and time again and never fails to greet us with a smile, always going the extra mile to make every visit that little bit better. Good food, nice decor, friendly staff! All in all good experience.

Friendly and helpful staffs... Was so hungry, headed straight to Nando's, forgot to get the parking permit first, as i am new to the area...then when i start to devour my piece of chicken, i remembered the parking permit, so i have to leave my food midway... Staffs were kind enough to look after my things and food in my table...

Easy to order, warm and nice service. The chicken itself is easy to peel with cutlery, even the joint bone. Enjoyed and had great time here. Highly recommended.

Amazing experience service was prompt and showed that they were actually caring for the customer and paying attention been to nandos many times and I think this is one of the best staff I have ever met. Just to name some of the staff Eleanor was a very kind and acknowledging of us.

I went here whilst travelling and the food was amazing, everything was really nice and well cooked, it was busy though and quite hard to get a table but once you did everything was amazing.

Very reasonable price and amazing food! It is the perfect place to go for lunch after seeing around White Cliff. Very spacious and clean(including toilet!!) You can order by app after downloading their app or front table. You need to bring sauce and beverage by yourself, but it is inevitable for enjoying nice and good quality food at affordable prices.

Food and service 1st class. The staff where brilliant. The place is looking old and dated. Needs a good clean and freshen up. Tables look old and marked.
