Very friendly staff and lovely location with the waterfront right in front and very cool that there is a tv located in the toilet

Went here for a couple of drinks after a meal somwhere else and we found it to be really good. Friendly door staff as you enter and we then went to the cocktail bar. The young lady working was very friendly and chatty and served us some lovely cocktails. Couldn't fault the place at all.

Lovely place to sit on a warm summer evening. We went midweek and the outside seating by the waterfront was almost full. Extensive menu: we both ordered vegan and it was great to have several choices beyond the usual veggie burger. Food was great and we thought it good value

‘The table is naturally sticky Sir’ should have set the alarm bells ringing before we ordered and asked for our table to be cleaned after the last group had used the table we sat at. A beautiful summers afternoon on the waterfront of Ipswich and we had the misfortune to choose Isaac’s, a poor man’s Wetherspoons filled with the unsuspecting of Ipswich and a smattering of tradesmen in high viz vaping on their vanilla cupcake douche flutes surreptitiously under their breaths. Food was ordered at the bar and after a short wait our worst fears were confirmed (we saw other peoples food arriving during our wait) when our order arrived. It’s hard to describe or understand how it’s possible to make a mess of a baked potato with baked beans and cheese but fair play to the kitchen, they did. The sliced steak ciabatta that I ordered was on another level and I don’t mean in a good way. It’s difficult to describe the texture or taste of the ‘steak’ and hard to identify the animal it came from, I’d guess stegosaurus or possibly a rabid dog. Just avoid the place.

Accessibility wise, you can get into the first part of the venue and there is an accessible toilet. However I did find this part of the building quite chilly as you can't really get away from the door opening and closing. We ordered at the bar and waited 40 minutes before asking what was happening and someone came to our table to explain the system has been failing and loosing orders. We weren't the only ones this had happened to as another customer behind us was also asking where their order was. Staff offered a drink, we had to get one to take away as we needed to be somewhere and said our food would be with us in four minutes. Luckily I was and the food was got and delicious but we had to rush as needed to leave and I didn't have time to finish all of mine. Lovely food just a big shame about the service. They knew the system had been failing so maybe take orders a different way until that is sorted.

Fine - would love to put it higher than that. Visited today when seeing family in Ipswich. Sticky tables, average service, ok, sad that I can’t put it any higher than that. What a shame that the UK can’t do better with such an amazing location. Comes down to low standards when it comes to customer service,

Wow, what a disappointment. Manners don't cost much. In our case we paid to have absolutely none. Someone needs to really retrain or remove We will not be returning, I would rather drink in the punch and Judy, and that is shut....peace

The service is unfriendly the tables are sticky as are the menues, felt like leaving then but decided to stay worst decision . Went here as it was recommended by hotel staff nearby. If this is the best pub in the area, God knows what the rest are like. I had the most disgusting tasting burger I have ever eaten. A foul, greasy, revolting taste which stayed in my mouth for hours after. Very limited choice of beers. A grubby place, in a grubby part of town.

Quirky place, perfect location to look over the waterfront. Quite pricey as a result, £16 for a small bottle of Prosecco and a Guinness! Not something that would attract me back again

Walking along the Quay,on a Tuesday afternooon, we fancied a pint and a bar snack and decide to pop into Isaacs, we enjoyed it. A friendly welcome, good selection of lagers,ales,etc and our food (jacket potato with chilli, Proctors sausages and onion mash)were of a good size and quality. We enjoyed the atmosphere here, we ended up staying for a couple of enjoyable hours.

Great breakfast, good value for money, clean place, friendly staff, quick service. Perfect position on Ipswich Waterfront.

On a rainy day popped in here for a treat. The breakfast was cooked to perfection and well presented. Great location and splendid views of the marina even on a dismal day.

Went with 3 girlfriends for lunch for my Birthday. It was a football day so very busy, ordered a bottle of processco which there was only one option and was £37 was not allowed to have the bottle or ice bucket, they poured the bottle into 2 plastic pint glasses! And then gave us small plastic cups to share it out! At least get some plastic prosecco glasses if you insist on doing this. Not quiet the same drinking bubbles out of plastic pint glasses!

Located on the banks of the Waterfront marina, this renovated flour mill / storage warehouse is a lovely establishment with a great atmosphere whether drinking or dining indoors or outdoors. Its numerous quaint bars serve cocktails, wines, beers on tap and bottled with an extensive dining menu for all times in the day which will suit all tastes. Every bar has a muted television showing different channels mostly sporting events. We had two fish, chips and peas ( the offer of the day for £16.00. ) which were delicious. Serve is quick and with a smile. An excellent venue for a night out. Enjoy.

We popped in for a drink whilst waiting for the docks to open the go sailing. The staff were lovely. There was seating out the front, but we sat out the back - it’s so big! The sports was on. People ordered food and they looked like good portions and the food looked delicious. When we’re in the area again, we’ll be going back and staying for longer !

Walked past on Sunday afternoon and decided to stop for a drink. We ordered 2x cocktails. Pina colada was rubbish, watered down ice, and it was definitely not worth the price. Mai tai was nice, though. The table was sticky and dirty.

Huge place on the quay, with extensive menu. So I ordered nachos and cheese: 'sorry, we have no nachos'. Any place that can't store enough nachos for its customers is by definition rubbish.

I am so DISAPPOINTED at Issacs. What a let down. My friends and I left our homes (for all of us just a 20 min journey on foot) and we walked down to the venue. After long waits to try and order just coffee and juices, We ordered our food by 11am but we never received our food! We sat there until 13.00 before we gave up and left the venue. I have honestly never ever waited so long for food and especially when it never arrived. We were given no updates and no one came to our table at any point! I did not see much if any food coming out of the kitchen in the whole 2.5 hours plus we were sat at our table. I used to think quite highly of Issacs but NOT anymore. I don't plan to make a visit there any time soon.

20th Aug, 2023. Told there's a 40min wait for food (3 breakfasts) - no problem. 1 hour later when asked where the food was, told it'll be another 20 minutes. Nearly 2 hours later no food, no update. Didn't see much food coming out of the kitchen in them 2 hours. How hard is it to cook 3 fry-ups? Got refund, left hungry and feeling faint due to lack of food.

Had a tasty lunch in the sunshine overlooking the waterfront. This place offers real value for money with a great choice of snacks, light bites and meals. The location is great and service was excellent.

Absolutely awful wrong food when the food arrived it was awful the fact non of the staff came and asked says it all truely awful the first time I have not finished my meal

First time I’ve ever been served an Aperol Spritz in a plastic pint glass with a garnish of blueberries and raspberries, hopefully never again! Isaacs was packed on this hot sunny early evening but we weren’t to be trusted with glass because of a football match later in the evening.

Amazing building but the food is very poor. I had a burger was a dry flat piece of what i dont know. It didnt taste of anything, the bun fell apart, the chips, coleslaw and salad didnt taste normal. Sticky table that looked like it hadnt been cleaned all day. Pub was quiet with lots of staff so they had time to do so. will come back for a drink as it is a great building and location but will not ever eat here again.

Location is excellent, good choice of drinks, plenty of tv's to watch sports on ,live music and much bigger than it looks from the outside

This is like a weatherspoons on the marina but with it the cheap prices. Plays sport and serves food but lacks service and ambiance. Can often smell abit funky but it’s a good place to start for a night out.

The Gallery, a newish part of Issac’s is great for cocktails and moctails. Table service very friendly. The tapas however less impressive; sharing platter was Sun dried tomatoes from a jar, ditto olives, some flat bread and ? Hummus. Veggie skewers were almost raw, no sign of them having been anywhere near a grill / griddle and almost inedible, and tasteless. Sal so good and spicy. Would recommend for drinks but not for tapas, menu needs a re think or chef needs a trip to Spain to explore tapas offerings.

Great location on a sunny morning : sitting by the waterfront. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly efficient service and excellent fresh cooked vegan breakfast, reasonably priced at just under seven pounds. Good coffee. It felt like being on holiday!

We were looking for somewhere for breakfast and thought as this place had good reviews and a nice view we would try it out. After trying to find a semi clean table and having to clean the rest of it ourselves my husband went in to get menus. We chose what we wanted from the breakfast menu and he made his way indoors to order, he was the told by THE SAME GIRL WHO GAVE HIM THE MENUS that breakfast finished, he then asked for the lunch menu and she said they're currently not doing food?! Wait, what?? A restaurant not doing food? The staff were rude, the seating areas were a complete mess. Ironically food everywhere outside on the tables and floor, spilt coffee everywhere and not one person clearing up. The place is a dump and surprised they actually have any good reviews.
