Isabel's Restaurant & Bar in East Staffordshire

This place is absolutely amazing, the service is exceptional as is the food. I recently visited for a birthday meal and had the signature steak (again) which was spot on as were the cocktails. Can’t wait to visit again!

Another marvellous night out at Isobel’s. This restaurant and bar continues to serve delicious food, excellent service and a fabulous atmosphere. I had the seafood brioche starter which is beautiful and my pork belly delicious. My friends had the chicken Kiev bits and arancini both said was lovely and they both had the fish pie which they said is the best they have ever had. I had a delicious Cosmo cocktail which was spot on and my friends shared wine and old fashions which came served in a smoke filled glass cloche, lovely presentation. We were given two very friendly countdown reminders to when we would need to vacate our table. Our waitress Nellie was friendly, had great product knowledge regarding drink recommendations and the food plus she gave us great service with a smile. All the staff give great service, food and drinks.

Understaffed, food and drinks took ages to come. staff had a bad attitude they need retraining, they weren’t managing tables smoothly or effectively and treated customers like cattle , They moved us off the table before we had even been given a bill to pay, we were happy to move off the table but it was how we were treated after. There are ways and means of speaking to people and making them feel welcome and wanted. so spoke to the manager about the young lad who had barged me out the way as he was clearing the table and was rude to everyone in our party for no reason. The manager said he didn’t believe me and it’s the first time anyone had ever complained, we felt in the way, a burden and unwelcome, we’ve had your money now get out kind of thing, I’ve been to restaurants like this before and understand when your table times up you move. But if we are paying customers at least let us order a drink and feel comfortable standing. Then Nathan walked in, the whole atmosphere changed the staff started to do what they were supposed to do, treating customers with respect. Working hard clearing tables seeing to customers, it was sad to see that up to that point they were trying to encourage people to leave and making anyone without a table uncomfortable to be there. I’m glad he came in I just wish he saw what it was like before. Good service is the main thing whether you’re sat at a table or stood at the bar, my conclusion is too many bookings not enough staff or space. Aesthetically lovely but needs more depth! It’s just not for me.

Came for my daughters birthday, and when we got to table there was a board with happy birthday on. Food was amazing. And even met nathan dawe to. Our waiter leo was very helpful.

Had my birthday meal here and couldn’t recommend more!! The food was amazing, the new surf and turf was perfect. All the staff were incredibly friendly, our waitress Freddie went above and beyond with her service. The incredibly birthday deal with 25% off and a free bottle of Prosecco really made night feel special.
