Honestly cannot get enough of the spicy ramen here. I wish I never got full and could just eat and eat and eat. The broth is rich and creamy, the pork soft, the egg jammy, the noodles have the perfect bite. YUM.

There is something seriously wrong with the culture of this place judging by the glum attitude and terrible performance of the staff. Also, the Ramen was terrible.

Full of flavours, Ramen with a good kick of spicy! Service super polite! Will surely be back! The mochi great, especially the mango one!

An avid fan of Ippudo, I asked whether I could have tofu instead of pork. The last time I had pork I had tummy ache more down to my sensitive tummy rather than the quality. I was told that I could have the spicy pork ramen minus the pork but that I would be charged for the tofu. I challenged the thought process, attached is their response. So many fantastic Pho and Ramen choices in London.

My first visit to a Japanese restaurant , you can't book , have to wait for a table to become available, we were lucky only had to wait 10 mins . It was worth it , why have I waited so long to try Japanese food , loved the pork dumplings , crispy chicken , chicken parcels, service good .

One of the next Japanese restaurants I have been outside Japan. Very stylish place, attentive and friendly staff and amazing food. The green brownie at the end just blows you away. And the Japanese “thank you”/ arigato… calls from the entire staff, when a customer leaves the restaurant give it a special feel. Also with the fact that most customers seem Japanese.

I am very disappointed by this place. I remember coming here once or twice and be pretty happy, but I went in today, asked for a classic Ramen takeaway, just removing the mushrooms and the spring onions. I got back to the office and when I opened the box, I found two TINY pieces of meat, noodles, the broth, and... absolutely nothing else. Not even the soft boil egg, nothing. Paying £12 for a bit of noodles, a broth and two small pieces of meat is very disappointing! I will not go back anytime soon.

Poor customer service by Fei. She disallow me to move seats even when I felt uncomfortable. There are plenty seats available, yet she re-emphasised that it is the rule to do so! The supervisor Carlos was very nice indeed!

I love Ippudo! I have visited the one in New York and Paris and the one in London many times and the food levels is always the same. I can recommend their bar buns, the one with pork and the vegetarian one are amazing. You can't book a table so try and show up and see if they have room. Nice staff and the food comes quick.

Wow! Thank you Ippudo, you brought authentic Japanese tonkotsu ramen to London! That was awesome lunch experience, great service, definitely my favourite ramen place.

Finding the entrance was a bit tough.... When we went inside, we have been ignored for a good 5 to 10 minutes. Off to a weird start, not gonna lie. Then someone acknowledged our presence but left to tell us to give her a second. After another 10 minutes another waiter came and we got seated. The menu was a bit restraining with the choices available, we thought there would be more options (only pork based or vegetarian). Service was quick and efficient, the tables were extremely close to each other (we heard our neighbours conversation completely). It was nice to be able to pick the firmness of our ramens and it was respected. The ingredients were fresh and savoury (special mention for the mushrooms which usually aren't). Prices are correct..

I visited without booking with a party of friends earlier this week, and I was really shocked by the service. The entry area is very narrow, and the waiting staff ignored us for a good five minutes. I appreciate that it was a busy night for the area (we had been turned down at several other nearby restaurants), but one staff member was dedicated to front-of-house, and seemingly chose to ignore us, despite being right next to us. After we enquired, we were then told a table would be available in 15 to 20 minutes. We saw several groups seated before us, even though those groups had clearly arrived later. After 25 minutes, we were told that many tables were about to pay, so we would be seated shortly. After 30 minutes, we were told there were counters-seating only. There was no attempt at an apology. I convinced my friends to leave and we found a table at Byron's down the road.

Wow! What can I say. This was the best ramen I have had in London by miles. It was cooked by a Japanese chef. Great and unobtrusive service. Taste is just awesome. I will go back to this place again and again.

We had lunch at Ippudo and truly enjoyed the food. The Shiromaru Classic was delicious and plentiful. The staff was very friendly and we received our food quickly. We received a table with space for our luggage (on the way to the airport) which was very helpful.

Came here recently for the first time with friends. We were kindly seated quickly. Service was fast and friendly. Food tasted amazing, though a little pricey. All in all, a great experience - will return again soon!

The food was good, but I was expecting a little more from this restaurant that I’ve been hearing about for years. The noodles are skinnier than what I typically get in NYC. Paying £2.5 for the spicy add on felt like a lot, however it was very good and made the broth nice and spicy! Service was a bit cold for a Japanese restaurant. I saw a cute smaller ramen place down the street after I left and was wishing I’d gone there rather than this chain.

We went here after a long day, and for such a big resturaunt the atmosphere was really cosy and the decorations are really cool. When you walk in everyone greets you, like in Japan but like like an extra 100% enthusiasm, even from the kitchen. The Ramen is is really tasty an served hot, and they have really nice cold Japanese beer on draugt. Our waiter was also really polite and knew the menu really well. It's a great place, can't wait to go back!

Excelente ramen, menú fácil de entender y servido rápidamente desde la cocina abierta. Mi única observación negativa es que, como comensal en solitario, no me ofrecieron ninguna de las mesas vacías de 2 asientos, sino que me guiaron enfáticamente al mostrador, donde el espacio es limitado. I went there yesterday and although the restaurant was a bit busy the waitress told us that we could wait 15 minutes for a table, she was really nice. We waited around 20 minutes or so. While waiting I wanted to have a beer but the guy at the bar seemed he wasn’t there at all. He looked like he was doing something, really slow and he didn’t want to attend anybody. I had to ask him out loud to be served. I felt like begging for a drink.Then the waitress took us to the table. The service was quick when we ordered and the food was delicious. Good food for the price.It was really a shame I couldn’t take the rest of the food of my plate home, because some absurd policy of health and salubrity, being the food I have paid for this should be available to customers as some dishes are quite big. But overall, good food. I may come back.

The place is small. I turned up around 40 mins without my dinner mate and without a reservation-i could tell they were busy so I asked if we were able to get a seat at some point-my friend wasn't there so I was quite happy to stand and wait-they found me a table and was quite happy for me to wait until I had company. The staff there need a raise! They were incredibly polite, quick on their feet and had an amazing way with customers throughout the evening. Oh and the ramen? Sublime. Best ramen in London ever.

I can't believe a bowl of greasy soup could cost £13 even in central London. It had two tiny pieces of tofu and a lot of mushy noodle, even though I asked for medium (not soft).

The food here is good. It's not Japan, but it's still tasty. Service is a bit odd. Being served by mostly young white English men trying to speak Japanese greetings to their customers is a bit odd. Now if they were able to smile, ever, it would be welcoming. Even a hint of a smile....? Here's what's odd.... the fire exit door is chained shut. Somebody is going to die here. Management.... if you're listening, you need to fix this NOW and explain it to your staff.

I’ve become a lover of ramen in the last couple years. This little nook in covent garden did not disappoint! We were seated right away and the place was not crowded. My husband and I each ordered ramen with pork. It was fantastic! Great flavors and portions. We also ordered pork buns which were yummy as well. Ate everything so fast we forgot to take pictures of our food for this review. Highly recommend!

Arrived here and told it was a 10 minute wait, after an hour we were finally seated. Waited 15 mins to order drinks. Waited another 15 mins to be served. Ordered our food, after 20 mins the extra sides arrived to go in the ramen but with no ramen ... ramen appeared... 25 minutes later (!!!!)

Great chicken Hirata. Very good pork ramen. Small and busy place but decent atmosphere. Decent price.

Quite close to the tube station. The service was very fast and the waiters are extremely friendly. The ramen comes in big portions and is very tasty. The best dishes are the appetisers. We really enjoyed the pork buns and squid rolls. Overall really good spot to have dinner, leaving you feeling full. However, if you order appetisers and ramen, it can be quite pricey at the end.

Went as close to work but there is almost nothing for vegetarians and some of what’s marked is cooked in chicken fat be careful if you’re vegan or veggie. All of the noodles are cooked in chicken stock and the tofu is fried in oil with the meat. It means the veggie ramen marked as veggie is not and all tofu dishes have been cooked in meat fat. My colleagues liked their food and the staff were good finding out these details for me as only some were marked correctly. Good if you like meaty ramens but avoid if you’re a vegetarian

Staff were amazing! Food was unbelievably good! Couldn't praise it enough! Highly recommend if you're out and about in London and you're looking for something hearty. The prices are a bit on the expensive side but in my opinion its so worth every penny! I'm always down for a good japanese restaurant so this is definately something I'm going to be looking out for the next time we're in London.

This is one of the best ramen places I have visited The staff members are from all over Asia and you can fell that they are having great fun among each other. They also provide great and smiling service to the guest.

Not spicy in a too hot way but a lingering tastiness way. It was busy so we opted to sit at the bar rather than wait for a table. Really enjoyed the gyzoyas appetizer. Not sure when we arrived what to expect, but we had a good experience. Perhaps a little pricey with tip but a fun way to clear The sinuses. Service friendly.

I am writing this review after eating at this restaurant for nearly 10 times and I wish I could rate it more than five stars. The food in this restaurant is beyond exceptional and despite sometimes being busy, is always produced relatively quickly. Bear in mind during the weekends for lunch it can get busy and expect a 10-15 minute wait. At dinner I have noticed the quality of food decreases a bit as it gets more busy. The ramen dishes usually come in large portions and are generally amazing. If you are pondering on going to this restaurant, just go. (Especially if you like Asian food!)

Ramen broth had good amount of pork bone flavours, ramen on whole was quite good and was very tasty . Service and staff quite nice and friendly too . I recommend going to this place and trying out their signature ramen .

We went there in the evening, great food and great service, tasty options for vegans as-well. Second best ramen I’ve had after one of the best in Tokyo. Only downfall is a bit limited in the sorts of ramens (only 4 different soups)

I have been trying different vegetarian ramen and at ippudo best ramen, I ever had. I will certainly go again very soon. Highly recommended if you fancy Japanese ramen.

We tested out Ippudo for the first time in London, it was drizzling and we wanted to have some warm and creamy comfort food so we ended up in Ippudo. The shirumaru tamago was an excellent, hearty ramen with a broth that was full enough but not too thick. The lfavours were rich but not too spicy and the noodles were boiled on point as was the egg. My friend had the curry and complimented it also. We would happily visit again.

Our party of three had no reservation, but we were welcomed and seated promptly. The waiter came in reasonable time for our order, but we weren’t ready (there’s so much food to choose from!), so he politely withdrew. It took a few minutes to get his attention after that, but we were the slow ones to begin with.

Why average? We had IPPUDO in Tokyo and there's a huge difference. Firstly, the same ramen which is the real authentic ramen costs almost less than half the price compared to London. The soup which is the real deal is much tastier and creamy and delicious in Tokyo. Secondly the rice dishes in London are also totally different. It's not tasty, expensive £9 for a small bowl and merely few small pieces of belly pork. Totally not worth it. And we don't see any Japanese chefs are all. Wouldn't be going back soon.

International ramen for that familiarity that I craved after lots of Brit food. Soups run on the saltier side so slurp sparingly. Found the egg slightly over cooked and hence not as runny as it should be. Pork in the soup was good melt in your mouth quality. Baked pork as a separate side dish was yummy but with 7 pieces perhaps too ambitious for one eater! Tastes great nonetheless! Sesame ice cream wasn’t as good as I remembered it to be. Felt there was too much ice within. Perhaps defrosted and Re frozen. Char siew for the win!

We were early so ordered appetisers until we could order main meals. We left before then as the appetisers were poor quality and some items we ordered never came. Then there was the staff... A lady came in for a meal with her friends who hadn't showed up yet, the manager guy had a go at her and told her to not just walk in and to leave and was quite rude. We left rather than order anything else...after getting a refund for the items we were charged for that never showed up.

We visited this place as a group of 4, there was some waiting time as we hadn't booked in advance, however, there was a bar where we could wait and it took only 10 minutes as advised. The food was explained on ordering, recommended very well by the waiter. Starter portions were just right, the ramen bowl was deliciously flavourful & so nicely filling, i.e not too much in each portion but allowing enough room for a shared dessert. The dessert was refreshing as well- a mix of ice cream, fruit & cake pieces. Great experience, will go back when in London again.

Always craving the Ippudo Ramen and never missing this when in London. There is always a space to be seated though the restaurant is busy. Service is quick and efficient and the food served hot and steaming. Have only ever tried the Ramen which are fantastic. Good portion and lot of options to chose from.

This is one of the greatest Asian/Japanese restaurants I’ve been to in a very long time. The different items we ordered were far more tasty than I am typically served in places we enjoy going. The staff as attentive and the food came quickly. I would highly recommend this place. The lunch specials were very well priced.

Fast service compared to the ones in New York even during lunch. Options are limited from other countries so if you have experienced ramen from a different country you're likely to see a slightly different menu here.

I was craving a proper bowl of ramen that wasn't instant noodles and having been to Ippudo in Asia I thought this would place to start. I am pleased to say that the depth of porky broth and noodle quality is still great and the meat is super succulent. I would have loved the portion to be larger for the price paid but this is London I guess... still not as good as it was Asia but definitely delivers on a solid bowl of ramen! I'll definitely come back here the next time I'm London but I'd also happily try many of the other alternatives around too to compare.

If you know Japans best place for ramen, you know that the same place exist in London. It is by far the best ramen you may ever have. High quality ramen and some great extras. If you have had this ramen in Japan you know that the bean sprouts are something you NEED to have as an extra to your ramen, this Ippudo in London had no idea about it and after a few staffmembers by our table trying to understand what we wanted, we finally got it!! You have ti have the bean sprouts with the ramen, and a lot of it, please :-)

I have heard a lot about Ippudo on the grapevine and on a whim me and my partner decided to go and check it out as we love ramen and wanted to compare it to the Japanese version. The restaurant itself is very nice, modern, with Japanese decorations. The bar area is a little small but there is definitely plenty of seating. I would definitely advise booking a table here as it can get very busy although you can just walk in but if you do, expect a wait. We ordered starters and to be honest for the price, we expected more pieces. However the starters, fried gyoza and kaarage chicken was delicious. The ramen itself that me and my partner both ordered were the tonkotsu (pork base) ramen. And if I'm honest it was pretty average. It felt to me that the broth had been diluted and it wasn't as strong in flavour as other ramen places we have been too. They ask you for how firm you want your noodles and mine were definitely not very firm like I asked for which is a shame. Also they didn't have any of the accompaniments that usual ramen places have such as extra garlic, sesame seeds etc. Its a place to check out if you haven't had other ramen places and definitely makes for a nice night out. Also the staff here are awesome! Really friendly and attentive.

...and I've been trying ramen in London for years! Noodles are just right, tonkotsu broth is creamy, but it doesn't feel greasy and heavy like another ramen chain in London (cough cough..)

I arrived with a friend asking for a table for three. The fornt desk refused to give us a table until our third friend arrived. The restaurant was empty and after a few minutes of waiting we asked to please be given a table so that we could at least order drinks while we wait. The front desk and manager insisted that we order drinks at the bar and wait there. This seemed strange as we pointed out that our friend would arrive shortly. Eventually, the manager seated us, but reluctantly. Immediately, another waitress asked if we are the table of three and pointed out taht we should already order something. Really peculiar. Thankfully, our friend arrived soon and then the service improved and we had delicious ramen. I would definitely recommend that the restaurant changes this ridiculous policy, especially when it is not busy and we are only few people. Otherwise, I remain a fan of ippudo food.

After hearing about this place in Fukuoka I have wanted to try it. Me and my significant other decided, on a whim while on a trip to Central London, to try this place out as we wanted dinner anyway!

I have eaten at ippudo a number of times and every time I eat there, the ramen is splendid. I would be careful with the more spicier soups, but other than that, I highly recommend.

Doesn't take bookings which is a massive shame, but really beautiful food and plenty of it too! I highly recommend visiting in the quiet times as the customer service diminishes greatly in the evening on weekends.

Very good ramen and food. Enjoyed our meal. Our ramen did take a long time to arrive, nearly 30 minutes. But was worth the wait.
