I was there 12ish pm 1 April. Service staff was surly, got my order preference wrong and proceeded to get me to pay without even checking that I was done with my meal. Terrible service in all my years patronising the Ippudo chain in many parts of the world.

Ifudo Ramen has its main branch in Fukuoka. Because it is a worldwide chain, if you go to a famous tourist destination, Tonkotsu ramen is easy to find and Because it is a very familiar taste, it is easy to have as a meal. Wherever I go, whenever I find this restaurant, I always go in and have a meal. I found Ipudo on the way to Mammoth Coffee in London. I have to eat lunch here. I pledged to do an open run at 12 o'clock. I went in as the first customer of the day and devoured a bowl of tonkotsu ramen on a cold day, and my whole body was charged with energy to handle all of that afternoon's schedule. Of course, when prices were high in the UK, 1 pound was about 1,800 won, so even if it was just 15 pounds, a bowl of ramen was about 27,000 won, so I sincerely ask you to think seriously before ordering, such as ordering gyoza as a side menu like you eat in Korea or Japan, or eating it with a glass of draft beer. Of course, I recommend it to anyone who can afford to spend 50,000 won on a meal, and be sure to add a soft-boiled egg. As I recall, the basic tonkotsu ramen was 17 pounds, but an additional egg cost 2 pounds, or 3,600 won in Korean currency. Ipudo is love. The store is also very luxurious and fancy. It tastes good too.

The two stars is only for the starters that we ordered otherwise not much positive that I can say about this place We went with my work colleagues to have our festive dinner also they wanted to surprise me for my upcoming birthday Firstly they were refused to give me a cake although they clearly said that we don’t want to eat it at the table but just for me to blow the candle but the waiter said no Also we had fixed allowance from our company card so we asked to pay for the drinks separately which again the waiter refused The starters was served by a different waiter and he was very kind and the food was good too The mains were not a wow non of us really finished them We ordered mainly ramen, my chicken ramen was not the best and I removed my chicken as it felt raw Overall the food is not great and the service was unfriendly Our waiter “Ryan” made us feel uncomfortable as he was very unfriendly, arrogant and pushy specifically when it came to the payment I will definitely not come back and I wont recommend this place as there is so many nicer places to see in London where you can actually feel welcomed

We arrived at 2:45 PM and were seated around 3:15 PM after waiting in the queue. After placing our order, it took over an hour for the food to arrive, and that was only after we complained. They explained that starters take a long time to prepare and are served before the ramen, but they never mentioned just how slow the process would be. To make matters worse, they completely forgot one of our friend's orders and even a starter. When we tried to address this, the staff were unhelpful and unwilling to resolve the issue. The experience was already frustrating, but to top it off, when we asked the waiter for the bill, he sighed at us with clear attitude—completely unprofessional. This visit was supposed to be a celebration for my friend's birthday, but unfortunately, the overall experience fell short due to slow service and other issues Fortunately, before we left, the manager personally apologised for the poor experience and went above and beyond to make amends. After a lengthy discussion, they reduced our bill by half, removed the service charge, and even offered us a 10% discount for our next visit. The manager handled the situation professionally and with genuine care, which we truly appreciated. I would normally give 1 star but the manger really did his best and beyond

The price of the ramen has increased by 25% in the last couple of months and the quality is just on average. Then they refused to SWAP the rice from the catsu curry with noodles (for my 5yo boy). They told me that If I wanted to have the noodles I had to pay £2 extra. Lastly, we arrived at the restaurant and there was no one in the area where we have been accommodated. And all of the people that arrived after us ate before us (what a joke!!) And no, they didn't have something different that takes less time to prepare....they were eating ramen, same as us. I have been to this Ramen shop for many times. I love the food as always. But my experience today is awlful. There are really few people on Saturday. We had to wait for 15+ min for a plate of gyoza, 5 pieces. And then we waited for another 20+ min staring at each other and waiting for our Ramen. While another lady who arrived later than us have got her ramen. When we ask why it is taking so long, the freshman lady told us that we wait because we ordered Gyoza as appetizer. Excuse me? And when I ordered extra noodle, the lady once again messed it up and missed my order. I had to wait for 15 min for my freaking extra noodle and my soup has gone cold completely. Btw, the lady looks very arrogant when saying we deserve the long wait because we ordered appetizer.

It's a nice noodle place and expensive as expected for this part of London. Hakata style noodles aren't my favourite but they are delivered with style and with delicious broth. There was a big queue on a Sunday afternoon but we got in quite quick in the end. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. I really couldn't wait to try their ramen but when my order came I realised that my chicken was raw. Literally all the pieces of chicken were uncooked. Of course the staff was very understanding and they made me a new portion but my appetite was a bit gone after seen the uncooked chicken on my plate a few mins ago. When we got the bill in the end we saw they took 10% off of it so i guess that was because of the chicken. The other ramen we ordered was perfect and very tasty but the experience was a bit ruined by the waiting times and the chicken incident. I think I wouldn't visit again but it was ok to try it once.

Not too sure where to start but there was no queue system, it all boils down to how well the waiter can remember who comes first, and sadly for tonight, the waiter had to ask customers and rely on their words which in some cases were not factual. Then, they would rather fill up the ground floor seats first, then opening up the upper floor seatings, but it was absolutely rubbish. We were carrying so many things and a toddler, and we were assigned one table for 6-8 people on the second floor, while they could simply allowed us to take a table for 4 near the entrance, and allocated a party of 4 to the upper table which I had. Once we got seated, NOBODY cared to even offer us a highchair. We had to look around the shop ourselves and brought it to our table for our toddler. Then, it took almost forever for service to come to take order. Ordered 2 bowls of ramen noodles, 1 rice, 1 appetiser and an extra onsen egg for a ramen. Rice came first. Then the 2 bowls of ramen noodles. Then the appetizer when I was already half done with my ramen. Reminded the staff twice about my onsen egg. First reply was “one moment…” and the second response (after we finished our dinner) was “no more…”. Is it hard to have basic courtesy to tell customers and not having to be asked twice about what I have ordered? Upon getting the bill, while checking the bill, staff “Ryan” could not wait and kept bringing the contactless payment machine closer and closer to our card in hand. We were still checking the bill and not ready to pay yet. To say the least, it’s an absolute disgrace to Japanese brands and people on the service, efficiency, manners and attention to details. Absolute rubbish experience. Atrocious.

He missed one persons order (we were a group of 7) and when he was made aware, did not apologise, update us, or even follow up the order- so while everyone was almost finished, the last order came 30minutes later. This is not to belittle anyone but a little training in HOSPITALITY will go a long way. Despite the rest of the team doing a great job, one person can really affect a whole group’s experience.

Although Kanada-Ya is my go-to, I had been curious about ippudo for a while and decided to go out of convenience. As we had big bags on us, we decided to go to here as Kanada-Ya is a very small restaurant and can be a bit crammed when it is busy. Unfortunately, it did not compare to Kanada-Ya. The broth at ippudo wasn’t bad per se, but lacked the richness and umami flavour of Kanada-Ya’s broth which definitely has the depth of something that has been simmered for 18 hours. It tasted fine, but it wasn’t mouth-watering. I wasn’t left craving more after I finished. Also, I was greatly disappointed by the portions. Two tiny bits of pork in the bowl and a massive heap of noodles. It didn’t feel very well-balanced. The slices of pork are not massive at Kanada-Ya either, but you at least get about 4/5 slices and can eat the pork periodically instead of having to eat one piece at the start and the other at the end of the meal. I was sad to see that there weren’t more pieces of pork hiding under the surface. I forgot to ask for ‘normal’ rather than the standard ‘firm’ noodles, but they were still on the harder side of firm and not enjoyable for me to eat.

Tomorrow I have to go back to the English countryside. When I was about to ask for a replacement at Kaneda's, I stopped him, left the store, and went straight to Ippudo. This is also an authentic tonkotsu ramen. However, pickled ginger, mustard greens, bean sprouts, etc. are not available like in Japan. Kanedaya was included by default, so it was a minus. On the other hand, as for the taste of the soup, I felt it was more delicious, probably because it was a familiar taste, so I gave it a plus. The counter seats were also friendly for office workers, so I might stay here next time I come to London.

Cosy date night spot. Good veg options. The vegan spicy ramen was absolutely delicious! Friendly and efficient service. Clean toilets.

I was hoping for more on their ramen but broth was weak and noodles too thin I order the spicy one and once I mix the spices the flavour of the broth was completely gone Gyozas were good enough

Over 4 years since my first visit. Still my favorite restaurant of all time. The ramen is out of this world. So warm and great broth. Worth every penny. And I heavily recommend the age tako yaki

I was surprised by the quality of the taste and the repertoire of food and drinks that gave the illusion of eating in Japan. Especially the sake type is amazing. The level of services for children and the provision of cutlery are also on par with Japan. Setting aside the price since it is overseas, this company's efforts are amazing. I think it would be better if the soy sauce ramen became a regular item instead of a limited time offer. Please keep doing a good job.

The food is as good as the Ippudo in Japan but the service is completely different, it takes ages for the food to arrive, that is completely opposite to what you get in Japan, also the price is crazy compare to the price in Tokyo.

The taste here is not much different from the Paris branch. There's no need to go out of your way to try this ramen.

We only came here for lunch and did not stay in the hotel but the food was delicious. The portions were pretty generous, and the staff were very friendly and worked hard. I would certainly go here again for food! ☆☆☆☆☆

We visited today at 5pm and were 'greeted' by the guy on front of house duty. We immediately sensed that something was off both by his attitude and general behaviour. If I was being generous I might say he was unwell and on medication. I suspect that self medication was involved. Anyway, the whole experience was a huge disappointment. The barman clearly realised there was an issue and spoke to the other guy who was falling asleep at a table and making some very strange noises. We decided to cancel our food order, paid for our drinks and left. We will never return. Judging by other reviews, we just got unlucky.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Let me check in early after a tiring trip. Some hotels don’t do that now even when they have rooms available. They printed off something I needed. Room & hotel in general was immaculate and location just can’t be beaten as can walk in minutes to Covent Garden etc and selection of buses to go further.
