Inside Out in Brighton and Hove

Had a beautiful breakfast and coffee with my son the other day. Best I've had in the longest time so will definitely be passing through again next time I'm in Brighton. Give thanks to all the staff 🙏

Lovely relaxed little cafe. Simple food done really, really well. The Spanish toast is exceptionally good. They clearly use very fresh ingredients and care about how the food looks and tastes.

Great breakfast with bubble and squeak, mushroom, egg, ham and spinach. Cool tables

Very tasty lunches and cakes, good quality coffee in a comfy quirky space. Nice outdoor seating for enjoying the sunshine too.

Excellent breakfast. Super coffee, lovely juice. I normally don't come back to the same place twice in a city visit but this is well worth it!

My favourite breakfast in Brighton. Yummy, but not expensive.

Fast service although quality of food was poor, slop on a plate and not great tasting. Coffee was incredibly disappointing, tasted like the machine could do with a good clean as the coffee tasted burnt and very bitter. After googling their hygiene rating and discovering they scored a 1, I paid my bill and left knowing I will never be returning. A real shame as I've not had an issue in the past and also love the set out of the place, very comfortable inside and out.

Food is good but service is way to slow

Welcoming staff and good food make this basic cafe stand out from the crowd. Have the Bubbleishus for a hot twist on the traditional breakfast.

Fun place that does home made snacks at reasonable prices. One of my faves.

Food was great but was ruined by the staff/friends watching loud but videos, bumping one of my friends chairs and chatting loudly about swingers parties. Also forgot 2 sides of nachos but was able to take £2 off from the menu.

Awful. Service was so slow - took 20 minutes to even get our drinks. While we waited we noticed a cake fridge - with cream cakes in it - was not switched on. After another 15 minutes of waiting for our food, it was put on the counter to be brought to us, but my meal was wrong. After arguing with the waitress about what had been ordered, the chef took the plate back to the kitchen and started picking off the bits that were wrong! When I saw him wipe his nose and then continue to put his hands in my food, we decided to leave. I'm so glad we did, because when I went to pay for our drinks, I saw the state of the kitchen - it was disgusting! I won't be going there again!

A cafe but with a vast menu full of healthy options including great brunch dishes that will fill you up without breaking the bank. Perfect for lunch outside on a sunny day

This place used to be fantastic and it's still always busy but I have to put that largely down to their location and little sun-trap terrace. The food is good, not amazing but solid although the service is notably slow when they are anything over 50% full. Prices are fairly reasonable. What annoyed me on my last visit though was just a lack of awareness of what good customer service is by the waitress. If I (nicely) point out that the baby seat you provided has been painted in what I can only assume is wall paint and is now rubbing off and dying my 7-month old sons clothes blue not to mention he's eating it (as babies do) then please - take notice, show some concern and offer to do something. None of this was done, I paid and left. With so much choice and variety in Brighton you need to do have better staff. Incidentally that wasn't a factory finish on that seat - which moron painted that?

Loved my pancakes. Just what I needed this morning!

Great food and lovely quirky place - we had a Chorizo burger, various salads and kids' fish&chips. All excellent, although salads were a bit strong in vinegar.

I love Inside Out. One of my favorite cafes in Brighton in fact. I've been going there for several years now. The staff have always been friendly. I like to sit outside in the morning with my tea and toast and watch Brighton start the day :-)

Inside Out used to be fantastic. But recently the food has really slipped. Was hugely disappointed by the kedigree brunch, used to be full of flavour with genius portions. Now little more than some rice and an egg.

Dropped by Inside Out for a drink on a sunny day. Unlike most of the places I visited in Brighton, it didn’t have any particularly discerning features. Nice enough though, and the small terrace is very pleasant. I just wouldn’t make a special trip.
