We really enjoyed staying in the Conley Fox. It was friendly to welcome us, the rooms are beautiful and clean, we had water and tea inside the room, all was good.

Great - excellent night sleep, really comfortable bed, cosy duvet/pillows and quiet, no disturbance so slept really well. Room nicely decorated, modern, sockets well positioned. Bathroom nice. Had a meal downstairs which was also really good. Staff were lovely. Late checkout 12noon was appreciated. We used the hotel as we were attending a concert at Wembley but didn’t want to stay right next to the stadium where it was very expensive so this was a suitable option just 30 min drive away and very reasonably priced. Only minor problem was biscoff biscuits on tea & coffee tray were slightly past expiry date (March 2024) so staff should check this when restocking room. Overall would be happy to stay again & recommend.

Great little find, convenient for m25/a1. Comfy rooms, good selection at the bar, friendly staff, nice areas to sit outside. Only gave 4 overall as didn't have an evening meal there, but menu looked good. Great sleep even with major roads nearby.

The room was very clean and had tea/coffee making facilities. The bed was comfortable and the mattress firm. A lovely hot shower. Lots of free parking available. Conveniently situated near M25 junction and the London Conley shopping outlet but got quite a country feel about it. Close to two other historic pubs. Breakfast was excellent and the night we stayed the pub was busy serving food, so is popular with the locals. Would recommend this hotel for a short stay.

Nice hotel, friendly staff. Public toilets are in need of a good clean and a repaint. Other then that the hotel is clean. Room and ensuite were both clean. Although our bed was not made and bathroom was not cleaned during our stay, the rubbish was collected and towels replaced.

Food was ok. Room was dissapointing with a faulty shower and dirty walls with traces of damp and coffee spilled behind bedside tables and desk and the kettle provided was disgusting on the inside. Breakfast was good, although you have to choose and order from a menu. Coffee, tea and juice but nothing else available on the breakfast bar. Also, at that time, during our breakfast we were completely alone in that part of the restaurant where a big screen tv was located so I asked the waitress if she could switch the channel on the tv, but was informed that we were supposed to watch either news or football and nothing else. So, we were left there, a mum with her 11 month old baby to forcefully watch the latest murders/stabbings in London at 9am. I think staff should use some common sense. After this, the next thing she did was to switch on the music, so we had 90's hits with London stabbings. I will never return there again and make sure I inform anyone I know coming to visit the area to avoid it.

Martin was a complete Host, Friendly, helpful and humorous. Loved the Bar area and the Food looked lovely but we we didn't eat in the Evening . We enjoyed a Great Breakfast with what we think was with fresh local ingredients and bread / toast to die for. We wanted a place that was local to my Family and we have found a pleasant place to stay next time we are over from Jersey.

They stayed a little late to check me in because my flight landed an hour later than it was supposed to. Bed was very comfortable and great shower pressure. The breakfast was delicious. The room was pretty cold when I got there though which was rough cause it took awhile to heat up and it was VERY cold that night

All the staff from check in to service in the bar/restaurant were very friendly and efficient . We had appetisers on arrival and later fish and chips and Sunday roast beef . All the food was very good . Our room was better than expected , good size ,spotless and a comfortable bed .All the amenities you would need . The only downside was the bathroom was very cold as the towel heater was not on at all during our stay . We would stay here again when in the area . Very good value for money . A very nice comfy pub .

Great location. Rooms clean and tidy but a fresh coat of paint would brighten them up. The towel heater in the bathroom did not work but really we did not need it. Breakfast Great. Freshly cooked and plenty of it. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful.

Pros: fabulous hot breakfast on the 28 February (eggs florentine) - one of the nicest versions of this I've ever had, obviously cooked fresh when I ordered, and the lady who served me couldn't have been nicer. Pros: fast and friendly check-in; the young chap took his time to explain how everything worked and was very helpful and thorough. Pros: Lovely clean room, bed linen, hot shower and very nice toiletries. Plenty of hangers and hanger space for clothes. Good mirrors and non-awkward power points for charging laptop and phone etc. Late check out of 12pm was brilliant for working. Cons: would have liked a bath (rare these days, I know), shower rail a little high for accessing towels, would have liked hook on the bathroom door (handle also coming off bathroom door - needs fixing). Cons: pillows were all quite lumpy - could do with being replaced. Overall, lovely cosy pub and I would happily rebook to stay here again for work - or leisure!

It is one of our favourite places we have stayed. Was a real surprise to us how good our evening was and how good the food was. A lovely breakfast the next morning and brilliant staff. Would certainly stay again.

Evening meal - awful, microwave lasagne and mashed potatoes which took 45mins. Bar staff would not accept cash as they had no of checking for fake notes. Overwhelming smell on stairwell to rooms, which looked filthy. Room - plaster flaking off wall, no coat hangers, for coat or trousers. Kettle had not been cleaned in a long time based on buildup inside. shower door loose and couldn’t be closed.

The personnel is what stood out most for us: everyone was extremely polite, helpful and friendly. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable, though the pillows didn't suit me; perhaps havng a choice of soft or firmer pillows might help? The bathroom was a little narrow. but the shower was great! The towels were good quality, and the heated towel rack ensured that they dried properly and were nice and warm. The toiletries provided were very handy, especially the body lotion and conditioner, which are not provided by all hotels. The pub itself, is absolutely charming! The breakfast menu had a good choice of hearty and lighter dishes. All in all, and excellent stay!

A free house and proper unpretentious small back street local, just a 5 minute walk from St Alban's city centre but a world apart from the pubs you will find there. A fine and interesting selection of
