Innkeeper's Collection Hull, Willerby in East Riding of Yorkshire

The shower was blocked from day one of a 4 night stay, the main entrance door kept waking us up early and late on at night, the worst thing of all is the horrific smell from sewers . But the staff and especially the cleaning staff excelled themselves. We did cut our stay short by one night to go and get a good night sleep

Nice and clean room. Good location with parking. Great value

The carvery bins were directly below our room window so when we had to open it for a bit of air, it was stinking. The corridor, stairs and entrance smelled mouldy and dirty. The inside lock was broken so we were unable to safety lock it. The woman who checked us in clearly didn't want to be at work. She was grumpy and not very welcoming. On top of that, we stood for 5-10 minutes without being acknowledged, even though there was someone serving at the bar 2 metres away from us.

Very comfy bed and great food. However, there is a major issue with the doors on the rooms creating a fire risk. The staff made clear to us that they knew the locks on the door were tricky, and therefore, someone is aware of this problem. They were infact a fire hazard. People in neighbouring rooms were having to come and assist countless guests stuck outside their rooms in the corridor. I had to leave an event to come and let my partner out of the room as she had been stuck in there for 3 hours due to the loose handle coming off the door and the latches not disengaging preventing her from exiting the room without some finesse. In the event of a fire in the building, exiting the rooms is particularly difficult, and this needs addressing for safety reasons. In addition, the shower leaked all over the floor, meaning we had to use all of our towels to soak up the flood, and the tv remote buttons don't work. Overall, it's a comfy stay, but issues clearly need addressing.

Decent, clean, low-mid option for an overnight stay. Carvery / pub adjacent for evening meals and serving breakfast.

Welcomed and easy check in. Struggled up the stairs on my own woth my stuff. A little lift would be a great help. Room lovely and clean, decorated nicely too. The smell from the local waste recycling centre was abit unpleasant, but that can't be helped. I just lit a candle. A small room service would be a good idea too. I asked for a wine cooler and 2 glasses, which the lady kindly gave me, but as I said, carrying that, a small case, a bag and handbag was abit of a struggle.

Nice Morden hotel,but the lock on inside didn't work and the smell from outside smelt like bad drains but apart from that nice

Rooms are large, well decorated, and very comfortable.

The rooms were very comfortable and cleaners were nice and respectful the reception girls were very helpful when we arrived the food was not so good we had the carvery the first night and the meat was fine but the rest of the veg and potatoes were either Luke warm or brick hard. The cooked breakfast the first morning was over cooked so the next morning we just took cereal and toast.

Brilliant the staff on arrival and house keeping were very friendly and polite. Tye room was nice and clean and a kettle with brew was supplied which was nice. Only thing was the room was really dark as some lamps did not work, but even if they did work the room would of still been very dark as there is no main lights on the ceiling just bed side lamps. But other then that would be happy to stay again.

Rooms are great they are clean and comfortable service can be slow as you have to go to the toby carvery to be delt with location is ok there's kfc McDonald’s and b&m just across the road and there's an asda petro station beside the accommodation

The room was really nice. It had everything you could want in a room. Modern and clean.

Convenient for our purposes although one problem was that the sink didn't retain the water for washing due to faulty plug insert.

Very pleased with the room , clean , tidy and comfortable bed, 😀 Staff was very helpful, with a minor problem all sorted , no problem. Would recommend, and will use again.

I've been staying at this particular hotel for past few months and always felt it to be a great value, comfortable stay with an enjoyable carvery but, I'm sorry to say, when I checked into my room on Tuesday, it was obvious that it had not been given a clean as there was cobwebs hanging from the desk lamp and dust over dado rail in bathroom and skirting. This was very disappointing. The staff have always been superb but feel a word is needed with cleaning staff.

The room was large which was great. The bed was large and very comfortable. The bathroom was very nice , white and clean. However the toilet seat was loose and kept moving but not a real problem as we reported it, the shower bottom was broken on the side so we reported that as well. Non of which was a real problem but things need checking before guests arrive. The bedroom window handle was loose, we tightened it up with a key and reported it. All in all the room was very nice and very clean. There were plenty of clean white towels in the bathroom along with enough toilet roll for our stay. It was great to have tea, coffee and milk for a brew in the morning with a biscuit before a big breakfast. The only thing was for me there was not enough milk as i like milky tea so we used all the milk in one brew each. We had two very good nights sleep and felt refreshed in the morning. This is the second time we have used Innkeepers Lodge and we will be using it again next month ( June ). I will be recommending Innkeepers Lodge to family and friends . Thank you for a great stay.

The hotel and restaurant were all ok however the staff and manager were very unprofessional and threatening and rude .The Manager Andrea swore at me in front of customers and children

The staff were all very helpful & pleasant....happy in their work. The room was clean, spacious, peaceful & comfortable.

We were very delighted in arriving at the Toby Carvery. The Reception was friendly and helpful, the room was nice and clean with all amenities and the food was EXCELLENT and sensible prices which is good to see in this day and age.

Nice clean and spacious room, and quiet. With my wife's disability, we would have preferred a ground floor room.

The room was clean and well equip. I didn't like the fact there was no members of staff on site. The door safely lock was incomplete so couldn't be used and the door looked like it had been bust previously. This made me feel extremely unsafe as i was along with my disabled daughter. The shower trey overflowed making the floor wet, the toilet roll holder was hanging off, the remote for the tv didn't work properly. There was no light over the mirror in the room so doing hair & makeup there was impossible. The room was gloomy too due to its location.

First time we have stopped at the innkeepers toby carvery and when we arrived and met by some of the staff they were very helpful and polite and the we checked in got our key entered the room and we were very impressed it's a great room and the food is top notch thanks to all the staff we will come back again David n Sharon

The room was lovely, very clean, the bathroom was clean and the shower was really good. Having the heater was good as it was chilly. All the staff I met were friendly. The only slight downside the bed was too hard and the pillows weren't the most comfortable. All in all a very good stay.

Nice bathroom, comfortable bed, restful night. Very pleased with the price and the accommodations. One thing I did not like was the paint colour in my room. It was a kind of sludgy brown green grey swamp mud colour. Very odd, and rather depressing. And one thing that rather confused me was the way the Toby carvery and the hotel were connected. I booked via the innkeepers website but got a Toby email confirmation. This made me think I had booked at the wrong place. I wasn’t sure if I would be sleeping over the carvery (food smells and noise) or what was happening. So then rang innkeepers to ask what was going on, and got a woman from central booking who didn’t understand my query, because to her there was no distinction between Toby and Inkeepers. I still didn’t know what was going on until I arrived on Thursday. Went in to eat at the carvery, left the carvery, went across to the hotel to book in, saw the sign near the hotel door saying ‘check in at Toby Carvery’, and had to go back to the carvery to do so. Can I suggest that you put something on your website entry explaining the process. Something like ‘check in will be at Carvery bar’. Also, a line in the confirmation email would have helped. Other than that I had a really good stay and enjoyed the food.👍

We are a regular at this hotel , its central to where family lives and hospitals are easy to get to. The Toby Carvery is on the premises and there is a petrol station with an ASDA shop next doorfor any snacks required. Also a retail park across the road with another restaurant . Beds are really comfortable. Cant fault this reasonable priced hotel

Basic room few luxuries,toilet paper yuk,heating slow,view poor.Pillows hard,and bed hard. Room quiet,clean,location for Castle Hill hospital perfect,staff first class.

It really suited us to have a quiet place where we were left alone. The room was really nice, the housekeeping staff where brilliant, we had things topped up easily and they checked on us more than needed. We're lovely to deal with and when we wanted to extend our stay the manager made sure we got to keep our room. Very happy and would have stayed longer if funds allowed.

Great budget place to stay. Rooms clean and well equipped, loved the mattress and pillows. Staff very friendly, breakfasts very good. Handy location for Hull, Beverley and York. Wedding venue nearby

Our room was immaculate The bed linen was lovely as were the towels The housekeeping is done to a really high standard I was pleasantly surprised and happy that we had booked here for our stay Well done ladies you a do a great job X

Cheerful staff and a splendid carverybon offer for our evening meal. Our room was spotless.

Stayed here for 1 night , Saturday night, visiting my dad in Willerby Hull. Rooms are very clean and comfortable, walk in shower, iron and ironing board in the room, hanging shelf, very comfy beds and pillows. Usb sockets above bedside cabinets. Tea and coffee facilities in the room. Good location and quiet. We stayed on the ground floor, had a good night's sleep. Easy check in. Breakfast in the pub nextdoor.

Terrible location by busy roundabout. Roadworks right next door and hotel under refurbishment, I was not advised of this and when I challenged afternoon shift manager, he was dismissive and unhelpful( 20/02, youngish dark haired & bearded, I've worked in hospitality and would sack him on the spot), basically he shrugged and implied tough luck. Rest of staff were lovely and were helpful. Breakfast acceptable, average carvery only food after that, no sandwich or snack menu ( except Yorkshire pud based stuff!) As breakfast expensive and not included, very poor value. Will not visit again or or recommend

The cleanliness of the room was amazing! However I am appalled and won’t be staying again due to the fact that at 9:15 we were woken up to a cleaner in our room. I am a very light sleeper and didn’t hear a knock or a voice just the sound of the door opening.

We was very disappointed with our stay. Rooms hadn't been cleaned properly, dust on the walls!! We was given a room right outside the air conditioning units and back door to the building which staff used to get to the bins. The room we was given the window lock/catch didn't work so was kept awake all night by staff laughing and joking on their cig breaks, air conditioning units and bins being emptied. When I approached the staff about this the next morning we was met with attitude and was basically called a liar as "they check the windows everyday" RUBBISH!!!! we also paid for breakfast for the 2 days and the food wasn't upto scratch by any means. All over cooked and most not really edible. They served left over Yorkshire pudding for breakfast?? I wouldn't recommend this hotel to any of my friends or family and I'm putting in a formal complaint as the costs of the stay certainly didn't match the service we had

Wonderful visit. Judy is your best ever pirate. It’s like being at a Pirates of the Caribbean theme park but without the parrot. She takes care of us. Lesley makes awesome breakfast porridge. Duncan is a terrific aspiring pirate. May they keep sailing the seas and having adventures.

I travel fairly extensively with work, the innkeepers room was extremely comfortable and clean, the standard was as high as I have seen with hotel chains charging significantly more for a night, excellent value. I had an excellent nights sleep without disturbance, despite the staff being based in the resturaunt they were extremely polite and helpful with my request for a bit of extra help. Excellent food for the price at evening and breakfast.

Room was lovely and clean. Extremely helpful friendly staff. The only thing that could be improved on is the availability of vegetarian breakfast.

The property was so easy accessible. The room was relatively clean and the bed was soooooooooo comfortable.

Lovely cosy little hotel. The room and shower were great. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Right next to Toby Carvery, across the woad from McDonalds, KFC and a fish and chips shop. Would highly recommend the carvery.

Good points Room nice, clean and warm. Toby carvery was Excellent Bad points No sleep as my room was next to the plant room so the extractor/aircon kept me awake most of the night 😡

Had a great stay everything was clean and well presented the room was nice and warm. It was easy to check in and check out the times for checking in and out was really good but mostly the check out at 10am gives you enough time to sort everything out and not feel rushed. If I had 1 thing to say was the breakfast was that good there was only full English breakfast or toast and being on a diet that’s not all that good lol.
