Had lunch here and the staff here made us feel so welcome. Says something when 2 ladies who were having coffee have been meeting there for 18 years. Really enjoyed our lunch and by the number of customers it,would,appear to be a popular location. We did not stay there but witnessed two hotel guests arriving who were given a very warm welcome.

Spotless, spacious, large comfortable bed. nice and warm on a cold night. Excellent overnight stay

The Hotel was in an excellent location & not far from Edinburgh Zoo & many other local attractions.

Met a couple of friends for a few drinks, the service was great and it is so handy for buses to and from the city centre.

The rooms are very small, and there is a lack of places to put things in the bathroom (2 people need more than a single tiny shelf.) As the rooms are so small, the purely decorative cushions on the beds are just clutter, taking up valuable space. It was disappointing to discover that we couldn't look out of the window in 303, because it had been made non-transparent for no good reason we could think of. The booking site claimed that we would be provided with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash - yet we only got shampoo. We had checked before packing, so arrived without necessary toiletries. When I mentioned this at the check-in desk/bar, I was told that it was a 3-in-1 product, and all hotels nowadays provided toiletries like this. It was not a 3-in-1 product - the bottle's label clearly said "shampoo" and the directions were only about washing hair; and no, all hotels don't do that. We bought extra products the next day, but didn't appreciate being fobbed off with untruths. Our toilet seat wasn't safely attached, and staff's first attempt at fixing it lasted about an hour. That's why we were moved to another room, 313. The staff member (housekeeper?) who suggested this, and helped us to move was incredibly helpful - she gave us a choice of rooms, was infinitely patient and polite, and carried some of our things across for us. She is the main reason we may return. Other things we liked were not having to worry about parking, and having a nightcap in the bar. And both rooms were clean. And room 313 didn't promote repeated head banging on a sloping ceiling.

We went there for the Edinburgh Christmas markets .just a short bus ride straight outside the room .. the room was very clean and tidy , the fold out bed of which I slept was awful we could feel all the lats of the frame through the 1 inch deep matress ... decent place just be prepared to be pushed around Edinburgh in a wheel chair after a nights stay

Had an excellent hotel experience. All staff helpful and friendly. Food was great. Room was perfect. Loads of buses into city centre for sightseeing and business. Loved this hotel and will be back soon. Thank you to all staff who made our visit an absolute pleasure

Good hotel, clean rooms. Breakfast is a good hearty English breakfast. But otherwise no yoghurt, fresh fruit or meat or cheese toppings. If you have a gluten intolerance, there is little choice.

Fantastic place room was fab with big comfy bed and room was spotlessly clean. We had dinner and drinks in carvery great selection of meat and veg. My Auntie booked the room for us as we wanted to come to the Christmas markets in edinburgh

The stay was amazing, staff extremely polite and helpful, food was the best. The only downside was that the walls of the rooms are thin so we could hear the neighbours.

Bus stop in front of the door. Free parking. Rooms a little noisy (right on the street) but very spacious.

It is very close to the airport and has a bus that stops at the door, which takes you closer to the center of Edinburgh. The food and breakfast are good, you can vary with the options they offer. Very delicious beers. The attention is 100 out of 10. All the people are very friendly. In the room they give you an electric kettle, coffee, tea and milk. I would return without hesitation.

This is the most cost-effective barbecue I have ever eaten. I looked at the pictures of this restaurant on Google before I went there. It was very tempting, but the actual pictures really lie. After tasting it, I felt that the meat was tasteless. Without their meat sauce, it would be the same as eating wood residue. Mashed potatoes are really mashed potatoes, without any additions, the original taste of potatoes, and baked potatoes are baked hard and without any seasoning. Vegetables, cabbage, carrot slices, and green beans are boiled soft and chopped, plain vegetables without seasonings. In short, I am very disappointed with British food culture. I write so much in the hope that no one will be deceived by pictures like me.

Very helpful staff !!. I have mobility issues and asked for a ground floor room, with walk in shower which I got so I was very happy. Room was clean and tidy and bed comfortable.

The staff was very friendly, always felt welcome to the hotel. The room was comfortable, clean and fresh, although had quite thin walls and could hear the room next to us. The window opens to a quite busy street so we had it closed most of the time. Would have been nice to have some bedside tables :) Coffee in the restaurant was great, and breakfast was overall good.

Great location, very easy parking, check in etc. The room was spotless and adequate for my needs and the bar/restaurant staff were welcoming. They even let me grab egg on toast for a quick breakfast after I hadn't pre booked and wouldn't take payment when I offered. It's nothing major but small things make all the difference. I also appreciated the parking not expiring until long after check out. 10/10

Great little hotel not far from Edinburgh centre. All hotels I looked at in centre were too expensive or hostels which I didn't feel safe staying in on my own. Really enjoyed my stay and will definitely be looking at rebooking when I can revisit to explore the city more (my book event took up alot of time). Also didn't realise just down the road from the zoo. Staff were all very welcoming and room was perfect for what I needed.

Hotel is located on the main road, the bus stop heading into town is right in front of the hotel. The rooms don't have air conditioning, even if it's not that warm in Scotland, I have to open the window overnight otherwise the air in the not particularly large room becomes humid and stuffy. If you have a room at the front, you can enjoy the traffic noise in the evenings and mornings. There isn't that much traffic at night, but it starts at 6 a.m. in the morning. If you have a room at the back you will be woken up by the noise from the containers. On the first night, the containers were replaced at 5:00 a.m. - it was impossible to sleep with the window open - and on the second morning, around 6:00 a.m., bottles were thrown into the container. We didn't have breakfast because we had already enjoyed enough Scottish breakfasts on our trip and wanted something a little different in Edinburgh.

Five star experience at a he Toby in West Edinburgh. It is in a perfect spot with buses every few minutes outside the front door. Everyone makes you feel welcome. I highly recommend the Toby. Best food in the city imo

Well located hotel with ample parking. Welcoming staff. Very good dinner but tasteless continental breakfast. Very small room with no possibility of ventilation and no view of the outside (smoked tiles to probably avoid being overlooked). Apart from that, good mattress and cleanliness.

A very nice, clean hotel 20 minutes from the airport and 30 minutes from Old Ton. Breakfast included rather salty because many sweet choices

We have just come back from 2 nights at the innkeepers in Edinburgh and we was thoroughly impressed. The rooms are clean, smart and spacious. The housekeepers are so friendly and always said hello as you walked past. The carvery downstairs is great, breakfast in the morning was fab too. Outside the hotel is a bus stop that allows you to get into the city centre in no time.

We booked a night's stay here through Agoda in May. Seeing that parking was free, we also informed the hotel of the license plate number. Unexpectedly, when I got home, I received a ticket from the car rental company, requiring an immediate payment of 102 pounds including handling charge within 14 days. I don't understand why this is happening. Is it a scam?

The room was very quiet, bed was awesome and the shower was great. Not sure that there is anything to improve. If we are in Edinburgh again, Toby Carvery will be the first spot we try and stay in.

Lovely stay from start to finish. We started with dinner (which was great) and ended with breakfast (which was also pretty good) warm comfy room with a lovely spotless shower room. Staff were friendly and very helpful. All round we had a great stay and will definitely be back.
