We stopped in for one drink and ended up there two nights! Marc was incredible!

Really fun place to end our evening out in Edinburgh

Amazing place to be at the end of the day. I got a nice piña colada. Shout out to Peter, Plamen, Meg and Tiffany as their customer service is always coming with a smile 😊 beautiful team.

The security manager displayed unprofessional behavior by repeatedly taking guests’ drinks when they stepped outside for a smoke or to use the restroom. And also he knocked my friend's drink down. When concerns were raised about this, they responded by instructing the security staff outside to remove the individual who complained.

Baby guys security deside you can come or no, so I think better don’t use this club/pub :*1/1

Great nite and brill atmosphere for a monday

A great place to go to after the pubs close for great music and dancing. Not conducive to enjoying a quiet conversation but that's not why you come here.

Did not let me use the washroom after spending hundreds of pound. Worst bar ever.

Had an amazing time at Rat Pack last night! The vibe was incredible. The man played great music, and the staff were super friendly and attentive. The place had a great energy, and the decor really set the mood for a fun night out. I’ll definitely be coming back! Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a fun night out.

Don’t wear anything thats above the ankle! Refused to let us in wearing shorts it’s been 20’c today in Edinburgh. Yet 2/3 people walk out wearing shorts Pure discrimination when the door men see people! I’m sorry I can’t afford posh clothes to fit in yet all I wanted to do was visit ratpack. Such a shame .

Great place for dancing in a cosy atmosphere with not to many people! No entrance fee. The piano-player-singer was the best I have seen so far. Incredible portfolio of songs from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. The cocktails are well prepared and cost around 10 pound.

Door staff was a little rude about leaving to smoke.

Good atmosphere. Piano guy was quite loud even though it wasn't that busy. Good cocktails.

No atmosphere, just bright pink led lights and some random guy playing loud 2000's hits on a keyboard with sound effects. It's horrible really. The drinks are priced ok but are pretty weak; service is friendly and fast, the place is clean. Would come again for a final crashing drink when all else has closed after 1 and get out as fast as I can drink up.

RT one of the best bars in town. The staff and the bouncers they are really friendly, the atmosphere is amazing and the pianist is great 🤩🙌🏼 I do recommend keep the good work and I hope see u all soon

Tourists stay away! They rip off tourists quite a bit. They scammed me, even though I was aware of it, I paid it. £12 for just one martini glass. I only recommend it if you have the money to spare.

Never got a response to book a table. Tried on numerous occasions. There was 12 of us coming over from dunfermline so didnt take the chance and went elsewhere

We didn't manage to get in! We were told no more entry for the night, but we decided to wait. Then some "regulars" went in and after asking we got an explaination even if the bouncer specified "I don't have to explain myself"... After that, we were told that we were "never going in" while some people that were behind us in the queue went in freely (we were not drunk or anything as a clarification, so I only can think of xenophobia, as a few of us were foreigners). We felt badly treated and eventually ended up losing our nerves. I hope their regulars actually come often, because we will not be coming back as we have never faced so rude bouncers. Such a pity that we can't put 0 stars!

Were not let in without a reason. Only Girls with a short skirt were let in, perhaps the fact we were spanish was the reason? Who knows. Would not recomend.

No piano. No atmosphere. Awful music. This bar could only be less like a traditional piano bar if it stopped selling alchohol. I understand music taste is subjective but what they played had nothing to do with the rat pack or piano ballads. If you're after a piano bar experience avoid this place. Customers shouldn't need to scroll through reviews to find out when the piano player starts. So in hindsight you're only a piano bar in the morning (apart from a short 45min stint before midnight). 🙄

Great Piano bar and dance place, especially for those looking to stay up late. Piano player/singer is quite talented and works the crowd beautifully:) No real food options, and no beer on tap.

The piano bar experience at The Rat Pack was absolutely remarkable! We, the Bulgarian team 🥰, want to express our immense gratitude to the incredible DJ-singer who performed on May 28th. He went above and beyond by fulfilling our special song request, making our night truly unforgettable. The bar staff also deserves a special mention for their exceptional politeness and attentive service throughout the evening. Thank you all for creating such a memorable atmosphere!

This fella will tell you that because of challenge 25 you cannot get in because you're below this age which obviously is a lie. He refused an entry for me and my friend because he was below 25 which is simply baffling. Very rude and unwelcoming, creeping out a waitress working next door.

Ahh yes.. 'the ratpack club'! The ratpack is fantastic! Its a great club to go... on any night! They have a superb.. menu of cocktails and fruity drinks..and wines! The bar also has a live singer.. performing the tunes and his golden oldies, he plays! Its lovely! I could recommend this club anyday!

Best night ever , friendly staff, great music and atmosphere. To the piano man you were a blast❤ . From three very happy Irish ladies. We will be back.

I wish I could give it less than 1 star, the doorman refused entry to me and two of my friends claiming we needed to book to get in. Basically we were discriminated against for being three males and it’s disgusting avoid this place at all cost.

The piano bar in Edinburgh is the place to go if you want top quality drinks and service with fabulous live entertainment and no hassle. Ssshhhh ! Don't tell anyone

My boyfriend and I really enjoy our nights here every time we come, the two singers are amazing and the staff are always welcoming and friendly and we both enjoy the cocktails.

I grudge giving only two stars - I go here regularly and absolutely love it. The music is great and it’s such a lovely bar. The problem - the bouncers. I know and appreciate they have a job to do but before last night I had only witnessed the treatment of people that they decide aren’t going to be admitted. Last night that was us. At first we were told the venue was at capacity so we said no worries. We were meeting friends so we’re happy to wait until people left so that we could go in. We then witnessed other people approaching the bouncers and being allowed in. I spoke with the bouncers and said we had been waiting to get in when capacity allowed and he then said “you’re not getting in tonight”. I think it was more to do with how my brother looked in all honesty - he has tattoos on his head etc and this has happened elsewhere for this reason. I asked why and was refused an answer - the one thing I do know is that it wasn’t alcohol related as neither of us had drank anything as yet. The bouncers were smirking and on a serious power trip. Really disappointing. After it happened, someone that had been inside and came out for a cigarette was talking to us. He had just been saying that it happens to people all the time here and it’s such a shame, but the bouncers there had a rep for it. The person we were talking to finished his cigarette and attempted to re-enter the venue to go back to his friends - to which the bouncers then refused him entry 😭 I couldn’t believe it - he had literally just been inside and came out for a cigarette. It was crazy and I can only think it is because he was talking to us. I’m so disappointed - myself, my partner, family and friends come here all the time but this really has put us off. We were treated with such a lack of respect and I would go as far to say quite aggressively by one of them. Awful experience but I do really love the bar itself.

Enjoyable night out, clean establishment, nice bar staff and the entertainment on the piano was really good. Not been for years but really enjoyed myself. Convenient for buses, trams, trains, taxi rank to get home

Great night our with a few friends

From Edinburgh and never been here before, tend to prefer pubs but I had a great time here. Staff were great (especially the Bulgarian guy) and the music was great. It was also notably not the usual 80% men dominating the space and overall good vibes.

Usually a better idea to home, but if you must stay out later than you should this place is great, a real melting pot of society.

Music not like it used to be, we expected Frank sintra Dean Martin etc so disapointed

Happy new year to everyone except from the ratpack doormen! Tried to go here to ring in the bells after a friend with a table messaged that there was room. Got there for the doormen to say we weren't allowed in unless we had a booking or were meeting people. Perfect! We were meeting people. Doorman 1 says he has to come out and meet us, no worries. My friend comes out. The doormen check our IDs and we’re about to walk in and Doorman 1 goes “don’t you think you’re way too casual for New Years?”. I think this is a joke as the girls in the group are wearing dresses and the male is wearing the except same as the friends we are meeting (plain T-shirt, dress trousers, white trainers). So I think it’s friendly banter and laugh it off and start to walk in. At which point Doorman 1 gets rude and aggressive with us saying we can’t come in, we don’t know the meaning of casual, there’s still time to change clothes (it was 20 minutes before the bells) I’m asking him how is a dress and heels casual? At which point he says the girls are fine, it’s the male in my friend group he won’t let in (again, despite being dressed as the friend who had come out to meet us). Took ourselves to Westport bar where all the staff were lovely, and had a great rest of our night, would definitely recommend! Will not be returning to ratpack after how rudely we were treated.

Amazing venue with amazing vibe and staff!

Great cocktail bar with a good atmosphere. When we went there was a live pianist. The cocktails are reasonably priced and they have their own signatures which were delicious.

I have visited this bar twice now and can highly recommend it. The music is great, the staff fast and pleasant. Always a great mix of people. I can't wait to return

Popped in for some cheesy piano jazz. Singer at the time around 8pm was very nasal. Whiskey sours with bells and a poor sour mix. Disappointed but almost certainly caters for a quick stop or if the musician is right I can imagine could be good fun.

Terrible security staff on the entrance..I visited the pub on 19th November 2022. The security on this day have a racist mentality, they are really Rude. We entered as a group and those idiots on the door didn't allowed people from other countries. This is really bad. Very poor.

Dont be fooled, there is no jazz here. Its just a singer with karaoke tracks. The singer was good enough but not even the piano is real. More of a tourist trap.

Midnight on a Wednesday in November. Wasn’t expecting much but came for a ‘classy’ post dinner drink. 10 people in the bar but the piano and music was loud enough for a stadium concert. Claims to be a cocktail bar but didn’t know what a martini was. Once they had looked it up they poured me the most vermouth-filled martini I’ve ever had, then charged a small fortune for it. The second cocktail I had was from their signature list - again they had to look up how to make it. The live pianist, while perfectly competent at the piano, and with an average voice, relied so heavily on a drum machine that I felt I was in a Butlin’s camp. Every piece of music was rammed down your throat with absolutely no nods toward the classy rat pack era from which the bar claims to draw inspiration. This is a bar full of late night drinkers and revellers - most of whom are naïve enough to think they’re getting a true piano bar experience. A fine atmosphere if you are very drunk, 40 plus, and don’t care about the quality of your overpriced drink, otherwise - avoid at all costs!

Very poor this year. Attended at 9pm on a Saturday night and there was around 20 people there. The owners say the prices are so high but cheaper than other similar venues. I beg to differ. Other similar venues were busy and much cheaper
