We used to LOVE bandits when it was in leith. Was a staple night out for us. This is now the second time we’ve had bundits since it moved to ESF. The buns were different, not the same quantity, we got 4 different types of buns and you’d expect when paying £8 per bao bun it would be lovely. Unfortunately this was not the case, which we are really sad about!

Food hall with outdoor seating. Limited seating indoors. You can order from the table using a QR code and a server will bring it to the table. There are heating lamps outside but plan to dress warmly in case you can get a seat next to a lamp. The bao buns were delicious. The kimchi was surprisingly good. It was spicy and crunchy. SALT & PEPPER KING OYSTER MUSHROOM BAO!! WOW 🙏🏼 Awesome place at Edinburgh Street Food! I only had the BAO as I had lots of food from other places too. But the BAO was top tier for me! So much flavour and very well presented. If there’s anything Salt & Chilli on the menu ESPECIALLY MUSHROOMS! I’m getting it. Top class food. I’ve eaten a lot of BAO and I have to say this one is sitting up there at the top 🔝🔝🔝

Distinctly average, bordering on not very good. The baos are so big that you can't get all the flavours in a single bite and the flavours just weren't really there. The different coloured baos are a gimmick, it doesn't seem to offer anything. Wouldn't bother.

Korean cauliflower is soo good! Edit: I tried their veggie bao, it is much smaller than the chicken one and quite greasy. It tasted liked cinnamon or some sweet spice, I didn’t like it. The garlic mayonnaise was really nice. I would still come back for the cauliflower though 😊

Likely the best bao buns we’ve had!! Enjoyed the beef bun and the chicken bun. Made into fun colors and they’re really good!! The miso cucumber salad was also really good!

Came along with my wife and son to enjoy a good meal .well the word bundit lived upto its name. It served us a week old cauliflower deep fried which was stinking in the interior and caused me a stomach ache. The burger was stale to say the least atleast a week ago and was atrocious . Please guys, don't deep fry in a month old fry pan and serve dishes to be served a fortnight back .Just horrible. Even if they served us free food like this, we would rather die hungry than eat their stale food ..they are an insult to food . Pull up your socks and do some other business

Eaten here a few times now. The bao are, generally, really good. The sides, not so much. Yesterday's was especially awful! It was the cucumber in miso dressing with pine nuts. The pot was half full of the dressing so rather than enhancing it, it drowned it. A dressing should kiss the dish, not give it a full snog!!

My wife and I went to ESF the other week and the Mrs got a bao bun from here. Within a couple of mins of ordering the bun was in front of us. Fast service but it makes you question how fresh it is. I can’t remember what she ordered but it was some sort of chicken bun. The bun was an unusual colour, very watery and soggy. The flavour was ok but overall quite disappointing.

I have been enjoying their intense and deeply satisfying baos since the days of their old venue in Constitution street, and I find the new location and format just perfect for this type of food. They are a bit pricier than other street food, but this is real quality stuff. Given how the price of everything including produce has skyrocketed, I find them good value after all. The friendliness of staff at the stall varies.

We had a day out in Edinburgh Street Food and tried bundits and we honestly loved it! I tried the pork chashu and my friend tried the special, both were very tasty and great value for money. Very fast service as well! We opted to sit outside (although there was great live music in the venue) and a member of the ESF staff came and helped us to turn on the heater which was also great! Highly recommended

The cucumber was great but had way too much salt so after eating half I just couldn’t continue. The mushroom bao was incredible tasty but the price is ridiculous. It’s not a main dish, why charge like 6£ for it, I would’ve needed 3 to be satisfied. The music was incredibly loud and annoying, add the people to that and it’s insufferable. We decided to sit outside so we at least don’t have to shout at each other.

Overpriced and not tasty. Not worth the money. Too much salt in the cucumber, buns just boring and taste like chemical somehow. There is no love in this food. The owners use to have one of the best restaurants in Edinburgh. This is very low kitchen now. I've been waiting to try, I won't go there never again. Very disappointed.

The flavours were tasty, The pork chasu was balanced on flavours and quantities. Meanwhile the beef short rib bao was overpriced for the ratio of beef to pickled red cabbage we received, it felt more red cabbage bao rather than beef. My review is only to help the business improve, as all the ingredients tasted great, and the bao felt handmade There is a lot of effort behind the scenes Hope next time will be better 👍🏽

We ordered tofu bao and shiitake mushroom bao - when it comes to taste, they were both great, but they are overpriced. I cannot be mad for paying £12 since they never said they would come in twos, but I wouldn't even think there would be just one bun for £6. It's crazy even for Edinburgh prices. I got them two for £7, or even three for £9 at other places. To get full, I would need to eat 4 of them and 6 for my partner, doing maths that's £24 and £36 for a street food meal.

Took a really long time to deliver and arrived stone cold. Delivery driver doesn’t seem to know what a heat bag is. Contact phone numbers don’t work. Worth pre heating your oven if ordering from here

La comida estaba genial, la pasamos bien, pero cuando una de las camareras vino a limpiar los platos de la mesa, decidió tocar el pelo de mis hijos (tiene el pelo rizado) Simplemente no creo que debas hacer eso. Y casi al final de la noche mi hijo estaba explorando ya que solo tiene 2 años, otra camarera decidió que quería recoger a mi hijo, lo que me pareció un poco raro, ya que no tiene idea de quién es. Lo devolví rápidamente.

Not been in here for years...we were in the hall the other day for a reception after a friend's funeral. Good size function suite, bar on that side, the family had it set up with sandwiches and refreshments. Even though it was a sad occasion, it was good to sit together and get a chat with friends and family. The bar staff were great, helpful and friendly. Good sized toilets, all clean. Easy to get to by bus and also plenty of parking.

¿Por dónde empezar con esta ruina de un lugar. Absolutamente nada en stock, el personal es despistado en cuanto a lo que están haciendo y la administración simplemente es grosera y agresiva cuando se le hacen preguntas simples. Los miembros del personal siempre parecen estar demasiado ocupados jugando pequeños juegos estúpidos o por teléfono o hablando entre ellos en lugar de hacer un trabajo por el que realmente se les paga, explica por qué los tiempos de espera son tan comunes en esta Revolución. He oído que este lugar está cerrando y honestamente puedo decir que el buen viaje al lugar, la experiencia shambolica y la fecha de cierre no puede llegar lo suficientemente pronto. Esperemos conseguir algo incluso medio decente para reemplazar esta broma de un “restaurante”.
