We came to Paignton on rather misty Sunday. Fancied a bite to eat so chose Inn On The Green. So pleased we did. Very friendly staff. Very spacious. The food was absolutely delicious. And very good value. Thanks again. From Brian, Denise and Alicia.

Excellent value for money again myself and partner had the steak which was very nice. Service was quick and Mel was bright, friendly and helpful.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable meal at lunchtime.The mixed grill was the best we've had anywhere and like my sirloin steak was cooked to perfection.Cowboy burger was delicious and all the food was piping hot.Well presented and service from all staff excellent. Would definitely go for a meal again would highly recommend.Thank you for making us feel welcome and special.

We had a lovely meal at the Inn on the green Ellie was superb at welcoming us and our two dogs the food was great not only good value it was really good quality and we will definitely be returning.

Food was amazing. Pub is really spacious. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Absolutely faultless! Would really recommend coming here for food and/or drink.

They are very friendly even sometimes when was a little short staffed they plough on. We enjoyed it so much the sat we booked for the Sunday

We had a fantastic experience this lunch time at the Inn on The Green. Mel looked after us. She was amazing, what a ray of sunshine on a rainy day. Her customer service skills are excellent, so helpful, cheerful. Nothing was too much trouble. She must be a natural as that sort it can't be taught. The food was cooked to perfection and well seasoned. We come back each year and are never disappointed. Thank you.

Been in a few times while on holiday for drinks and food, always a good experience - steak cooked perfectly! Mel was always very chatty and made sure to look after us.

My parents ate here whilst away on holiday this past week and were so impressed they have asked me to post a review! The food and service were both fantastic, Ellie and Mel in particular were both lovely.

The staff are amazing and super friendly… food is amazing for the price… super accommodating to dogs and even have their own pup menu my shar-pei thoroughly enjoyed her sausage

We visited the Inn On The Green on the first evening of our holiday and we were greeted by Mel, who made us feel so welcome. The food was lovely and Mel was a superstar!

Had a slight issue here after speaking with Mel and nigel ,the issue was rectified immediately as my family love the atmosphere and the food : )

We visited yesterday and the service was excellent very polite and helpful and well worth going again we had dinner- tea there I had fish and chips the fish was gorgeous and partner had hunters chicken the food was top notch recommended to go there Liam and cam was excellent hosts well done guys

Absolutely fantastic service and atmosphere from all the staff. The team went above and beyond to help me and my father out multiple times through the day. The friendly reception Especially from Mel, Max and Nigel even on an immensely busy day from first thing to last thing on the evening was phenomenal as well as smiling friendly waitresses bringing the food and extremely helpful barstaff. Brilliant venue, brilliant food, brilliant staff. Would definitely recommend to anyone and everyone.

First time to visit this pub and were very pleased with the service received. Food was really nice and reasonably priced. Mel attended to us and was lovely - her attention to detail was exceptional. She made sure we received excellent service and made us feel really welcome. Will definitely visit again.

We arrived at The Inn on The Green Paignton and were welcomed by Mel. She was very friendly and made us feel so welcomed. Most places you are just a number but she went over the top to make us feel special. So much so that we now eat regularly at The Inn on the Green. I wish all staff were as accommodating as Mel.

Found a table to sit at, went to the bar to order food and told what I wanted had sold out. Chose another dish, sold out. When I did find something I wanted, I was left half way through order as someone else’s payment had not gone through. He then came back and immediately left again without talking order as barrel needed changing for someone else’s order. Really was the worst attitude and service ever.

Lovely pub to stop with friends/family or the dog for a drink and something to eat. We had the hand battered fish and chips and they were delicious. The cod was beautifully cooked, but the batter was so light and crisp, definitely the best fish and chips I've had in a very long time. I love that there's a dog menu too for your four legged friends. With a choice of sausage, burger, chicken or steak on offer along with or without peas, carrots and/or gravy! Our dog was very pleased with the chicken. We will certainly be back when we're next visiting Paignton. Sorry about the photo, I'd almost finished my food before remembering to post! As I said, they were delicious 😋

Lovely friendly atmosphere, plenty of seating choice

Mel was absolutely amazing! My kids were being kids (pains in the backside) but Mel was making them laugh, making sure they were behaving and even gave them a cookie for eating all their dinner. Honestly she made it so easy to enjoy a dinner out as a family! Thank you for being the best!

me and my partner had altercation with another member of staff where I left the premises untill another member of staff (mel)came to calm and resolve the issue that shouldn't of been there in first place.... (won't go in detail) she knew us as we locals and took it upon herself to make sure she did everything she could for us to have a pleasant meal in the end so thank you Mel 😊 you defo are an amazing and valued member of staff to that place

Foods always good. as regulars with our children (locals to Paignton) never really had an issue till we came in without the children and totally rude member of staff (rich) asking for my partner I'd totally embarred her although served her before makes it worse it's her birthday aswell first chance to get out without the kids luckily Mel was working who was amazing (as always) she calmed the situation and took control of the service at least Mel remembered her locals 100% thanks Mel

Over £11.00 for a basic burger and fries. Over £6.00 for half a lemonade and lime and a small san Miguel. Should have gone to McDonald's. Can't wait for wetherspoons to reopen .

Be nice if we hadn't waited 10 minutes to get noticed at the bar... And then when the barman arrived he was quite rude

I had the steak and chips and the husband had gammon an chips. The steak was cooked to perfection with little fat and the gammon wasn't filled with fatty bits either. Quality food cooked beautifully, we did ask for extra chips but they didn't arrive, they checked the order check and we hadn't been charged for them but regardless they gave us another portion of chips! Outstanding customer service and compliments to the chef and your team. Highly recommend and definitely returning 😋😋👌

Sunday roast very good, plate and food hot. Yorkshire puddings not so favourable. Building from outside not welcoming, very run down maybe reason inside was very quiet when up the road places were buzzing with people inside and out. At least we had a good meal and quiet chat with friends.

Live music on a saturday night, good choice of drinks on tap! Mel was amazing for hospitality and made the evening great!

The food was very reasonable for the price and they served my wife and I 5 minutes before end of service. We insisted that we didn't want to be a bother, but the assistant manager and chef seemed to be fine with it. Either way, massive thanks to all the staff, we were shattered and well in need of some good food! Heck, I even remember going there when my family and I would holiday in Paignton before I lived in Devon and I'd always had fond memories of it then as well.

Lovely food & Mel our server was amazing & double checked if had a allergy as asked for no cheese on my burger but had cheese on the loaded fries. Definitely recommend & will be going back xx

Everything inside the pub is excellent, from food to staff all brilliant..... the only thing is it's so desperate for a lick of paint outside.....

Food is great good size portions for the money. Very friendly staff and didn't have to wait long for our food. They went above and beyond to accommodate us as my daughter has learning disabilities. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

It’s a relaxing calm place. Spacious and tidy. Everyone was kind and pleasant. Took my dad who I haven’t seen for a year and his fiancé for a meal. Me and my partner enjoyed the food last time we visited. However, it was even better and my dad said it was the best fish and chips he has ever had! We were all happy and full. Great location as we all went to the pier afterwards. We would definitely go back again as it was amazing! So Thankyou to all staff and cooks. Happy customers.

App doesn’t work, allowed me to list all of my details including phone number, make the order then wouldn’t work when I went to payment. If I get spammed I’ll be putting in a formal complaint as all the app did was phish my information. Atmosphere was dull, staff were friendly and food was mediocre. I guess if you’re a family with kids it’ll suffice. Came away feeling less than satisfied.

Extremely friendly hard working staff The food is always delicious and Nigel the manager takes special attention to make sure when you order Gluten free food or any kind of allergy foods that is exactly what you will get , i totally trust this venue and as a bonus on a Saturday night we have a local gentleman play guitar and sing it’s a great atmosphere and i highly recommend this place for a lovely meal could do with being updated a bit but you absolutely can not fault the food or the service

We came here for a meal on Easter Monday a family of 10 and had food. The food was nice, but we had a few things missing, granted they were refunded so we decided to go back today for another meal and give them a second chance! Well we were shocked when we were told they couldn't accommodate us a family of 10. The pub was practically empty, when we approached a couple of staff members they were not too friendly. The kitchen was empty no food coming out. They said they were going by online bookings. We then went to look at booking online and we could actually book a table for 5 minutes time! An absolute joke, we won't be revisiting this pub again. Turning business away makes no sense.

Sunday Roast, absolutely awful! No taste. Everything tastes boiled and had no flavour. The meat and vegetables were just inedible! I will never come here again for food! However your staff member Mel was very friendly and chatty. Made sure we were OK and great service. I don't like to complain when asked if the meal was OK as she was so lovely to us. AWFUL DREADFUL FOOD!
