The best place for breakfast. We travel from Southampton each time to enjoy it. The quality of food, the service and the whole place is amazing. We absolutely love coming back and we have reassurance that the food will as superb as each time . Coming back tomorrow for a lunch and cannot wait.

We went for breakfast at saltwater whilst on holiday! It was a great way to kick start my dad's birthday celebrations, the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs was a hit with my husband! I would 100% recommend saltwater as a great place to visit for breakfast, brunch or lunch!

5 star, gourmet food and presentation. Felt Michelin starred!! Gorgeous vegeratian roasted open sandwich. My son LOVED his bacon & maple waffke. Smoothies to die for

We have been before to Saltwater and we were impressed. This year it was just as good A lovely easy menu but delivered beautifully. I had the Cannellini Beans in their home produced Sauce on Sourdough . Really great! The Bacon and Eggs were top quality too. The cafe is spotless , I noticed in between Customers , the staff kept cleaning . There is a lovely community ambience about the place. We tend to avoid the Coffee chain outlets and seek out the Independents, because for similar money you can have something really memorable. Saltwater is an excellent example of this theory. What a joy it was to discover Saltwater yesterday with its really delicious food (all reasonably priced) and its delightful staff. This was a rare find and reason enough to visit Milford on Sea!!

Great Place with a really relaxed, cosy feel. Called in after a long walk around Milford on Sea area - ‘just for a coffee’. After finding out that ‘Mellefords’ is its sister establishment (just opposite The Green) we did of course just have to try the sausage ciabatta and we weren’t disappointed! So warm and friendly with lovely staff. Saltwater is well known in Milford on Sea but new to us - will definitely be coming back.😀

By a wide margin the best « full English » I have ever had. Every ingredient was top quality, everything was perfectly cooked, and there was a lot if it! The service was friendly and efficient, and bearing in mind all of the above, it was a total bargain. Try it for yourself, but make sure to book.

Saltwater is brilliant at any time of day. Usually go for breakfast- very popular so advise reserving table if visited towards late morning. Team are friendly and service is quick, Saltwater always has clean tables when you sit down - which is a big one for me. Breakfasts of note for me, are their Shakshuka with egg (middle eastern tomatoey), smoked salmon pan hash, bacon and egg ciabatta … Definitely one of the best eateries along the south coast 👍

We have been here 3 times this last week and each time, everything was excellent. Food, coffee and service - can’t fault at all. Staff are great and very attentive. Lovely and cosy place with a great atmosphere.

First time to. Is it in their new location. Food and service as good as ever. Booked for 11am and quickly stay down and ordered food. Delivered promptly- hot and tasted great. My only negative comment is allowing in dogs in such a small area. Not every loves dogs and when you are sat so close to each other you are made to feel uncomfortable. Plus when they do start barking - someone needs to stop them if the owners just ignore it (I do blame the owners for this). Otherwise a great asset to Milford on Sea

My delightful dining experience began when a delectable spongey cake was graciously presented to me by the beautiful and attentive waiter, Teigan. The combination of the exquisite dessert and Teigan's exceptional service truly elevated my day, creating a memorable and enjoyable moment. Teigan's warm demeanor and attention to detail undoubtedly contributed to the overall positive atmosphere of the dining experience. Their professional yet friendly approach made the occasion even more special, turning a simple meal into a delightful culinary adventure. The spongey cake, with its perfect balance of flavors and textures, served as a culinary masterpiece that further enhanced the overall enjoyment of the evening. While I had hoped for a happy ending to complement the already fantastic experience, it seems that this particular wish didn't come to fruition. Nevertheless, the absence of a perfect conclusion did little to dampen the overall satisfaction derived from the delightful cake and Teigan's excellent service. Life is full of unexpected twists, and sometimes, it's the imperfections that add character to our experiences. In a gesture of appreciation for the exceptional service received, I made the decision to leave a notably generous tip. This was not only a reflection of my gratitude for Teigan's efforts but also a way to acknowledge the impact of their service on my overall dining experience. Leaving a substantial tip is a small yet meaningful way to express gratitude and ensure that the hard work and dedication of the service staff are recognized and valued. As I left the establishment, I couldn't help but reflect on the sumptuous cake, the attentive service, and the choice to leave a sizable tip. The combination of these elements not only created a pleasurable dining experience but also left a lasting impression that I'm sure will draw me back for another visit in the future. The hope for a happy ending with my cake may not have materialized this time, but the positive memories and the appreciation for exceptional service linger, making the experience truly memorable.

I really enjoyed my spongey cake what was brought out by a beautiful waiter named teigan it made my day so great. i wanted a happy ending with my cake but sadly didnt get it. I left a really big tip ;)

Another wonderful visit to Saltwater, our third over the last few years, and our first at their new setting on the green. One of the things we love about this place is thinking we've decided what we want, until we see what's being served up on other tables.... this time it was the wild garlic mushrooms on sourdough that turned our heads. It did not disappoint. Absolutely gorgeous. The additional smoked salmon and bacon came in very generous portions and added that bit extra to each meal. As ever, staff were very attentive and friendly. We love this place - always the #1 highlight of a trip to the New Forest ;-)

Must book in advance this very popular cafe, it seems to have lots of regulars - always a good sign. Our 2 very well behaved Labradors were very welcomed, we had the large round table inside by the counter. Delicious all day breakfasts,we had 4 different dishes consisting of Shakshouka with added bacon, a posh version of eggs Benedict, smashed avocado on toast with bacon, we each had 2 drinks, kale smoothie, oat smoothie and a delicious milk shake, oat lattes, chai lattes and it came to £72 bargain ! Considering the quality of the food, presentation and ambience and excellent service. Very recommended we will be back. It was fairly easy to find free parking on Sunday morning.

We ate breakfast here back in August 2022. We had two meat breakfast pans. It was good. We also had a sausage ciabatta, which was fine.

Fantastic lunch, very generous portions and all tasty. Very helpful with gluten free and lots of options on the menu.

Wow! It’s always been good but since moving to the middle of the village this place has blown every other eatery in the village out of the water. The food is amazing, so fresh and well put together at reasonable prices. The menu is great for plant based eaters and meat eaters alike. The staff are really great, so friendly and welcoming and our family love eating out here. Hope you will open in the evenings one day as, for us, Saltwater will be our first choice for dining out.

Terrible service - try the Paddle on the Green or somewhere else locally for better service and food.

So glad we do not live in Milford on Sea, we would have to be in Saltwater every day. Whilst on holiday we could not resist breakfast. French toast was simply fantastic. Service excellent. Thank you

Wild mushrooms for breakfast, a wonderful concoction of fresh ingredients perfectly cooked. Very enjoyable & thoroughly recommend.

Avocado sourdough toast, poached egg, Beetroot hummus, Vine tomatoes. Add streaky bacon. You would be foolish not to.

A wonderful treat. The poached egg and avocado on toast served with beetroot houmous is probably one to fight over. (Yes beetroot - wow what a combo)

Literally cannot find one fault with this place the breakfast is simply the best in the forest food and staff are excellent just love eating here

One of our favourite eating places has recently moved just up the road to beside the village green in Milford on Sea. But same great staff, great chef and delicious menu - amongst our favourites are the Sushi Bowl at lunchtime with prawns, smoked salmon, sticky rice, edamame and lots more. Menu offers lots of interesting choices for breakfast, brunch and lunch - even if you don't eat gluten or dairy like me! Dogs are very welcome and Molly now expects her treat! Never ever disappoints which is why we go back again and again.

Have recently moved to Milford and was recommended Saltwater. My wife and I had breakfast and it didn’t disappoint. The use of quality ingredients was evident. The food, presentation and service was spot on. Keep up the the great work. See you again soon.
