I want a refund you haven’t sent no food.

Excellent food, ordered a waffle and simpsmash meal came on time, food was fresh and the quality was excellent.

They got one star because there is no option for a 0, ordered some waffle sticks and a brownie for a cheeky desert and the waffle sticks were just pure dough! Like when I say dough I mean like pure play dough, absolutely gross called the restaurant to resolve the issue as to which they shrugged it off and placed a refund….. glad to have a fiver back but I would of preferred the effort of fixing your mistake! For this I can also see why it has a 3 on the food hygiene if they can’t cook a waffle I’d hate to see their burgers…… AVOID!!!

Love to support local businesses but poor service, lacking ingredients to meet its vast menu options. Very disappointing.

I didn’t receive 2 items off the order, 2 ice cream scoops where wrong scoops, the cheese cake was soggy. Wish I had read the reviews before ordering.

Ordered pancakes, they clearly made it with the crepe batter. The most woeful pancakes I’ve ever had

Food was very nice and the premises was clean and relaxing. Chef was helpful about food contents. Vegan, vegetarian or allergies. Will be going with family as they have a upstairs room.

Deliver window missed - which meant by time it arrived. Food was cold. Ice cream melted and cookie dough soggy.

The delivery was very late and the cookie dough was bold with melted ice cream. Never again

Absolutely lovely. Was nervous to order after seeing the reviews but delivered on time and the food was gorgeous. Definitely recommend and will be ordering again. Lovely treat. Thank you so much!

Absolutely shocking. Burger was thrown together and the chips were undercooked and freezing.

50 minutes for 6 donuts on a Monday night...

overall was a nice waffle, wouldve been nice if it was hot and the hot chocolate i orders actually came as a hot chocolate and not a pepsi max can 🤣🤣. but overall was quite yummy and nay consider ordering again.

The driver marked this as delivered when it wasn't and it came much later than the delivery time said. I have ordered before and never had any issues but on this occasion i was really disappointed I will look elsewhere next time. This was also my 5th time ordering and I used my discount as well.

I’ve orderd 5 time threw these and never had a bad meal but having paid £14 and the fries were to salty to eat I don’t think I’d be ordering from this place again the burgers are the best around here but the fries let them down I personally think they should do wedges or a thicker chip.

Impressed with delivery time however the food really did let you down. I could smell the burger before I tasted it (not the most pleasant smell), anyway I took a bite and it was unbelievably peppery to the point it was inedible. No onion rings and no sauce, with the smallest bChips were fine. Pancakes were warm, fluffy but incredibly dry with minimal topping on the top pancake only. Gutted as was my Friday treat, will not be returning and have requested a refund for the burger at the very least

Did not deliver my meal, gave no communication and did not pick up the phone when I called, I was left waiting until past 1 AM, and when I rang to complain the next day the Manager never showed up to do anything

Milk cake had no milk, was a sponge cake with cream on top, very dry

Ordered food at 8:30pm was given a time of 9:35-9:55 food come at 10:30pm even after the restaurant changed delivery time after being rang it come the waffles were stone cold an were crusty an didn't taste fresh even my 4 Yr old spat it out he also didn't eat the so called fresh donut either most of it went in the bin wouldn't waste ur money ordering

Cup of strawberries was not a 16oz cup! But a few strawberries in a box with a drizzle of chocolate. And the cheese cake look like it had been defrosted as there was water in the bottom of the tub. Will not be ordering again

chicken tikka masala was very spicy for that type of curry also my cheese + garlic naan came without any cheese when i even paid extra for it. rice was also not pleasant

I visited indulgence with my daughter to celebrate her birthday and I must say I am extremely impressed by the efficient service and great tasting desserts!! The front worker , Ash displayed a high level of professionalism and explained to us each dessert on the menu to make sure we were satisfied with our orders . An excellent place and we will definitely be returning !

Excellent food, well recommended! The staff were impeccable! We tried the simpsmash burger and it was gorgeous! Honestly the best burger in Stoke on Trent! The desserts were also amazing! So happy you’ve opened up here in Newcastle! Good luck to you guys!

Value for money is spot on and a lot cheaper than some places! These guys know how to make a desert that’s for sure. Always go above and beyond on every order! Perfect!!

Don’t get me wrong the food and desserts are delicious, but ordered 2 burgers tonight one being £10+ and when they came they were the smallest burgers we’ve ever had especially given the price, you’d expect bigger. Was lovely and the chicken burger was lush but when you’re paying £7 and £10+ for each burger you expect a bit bigger xx

Delivery bag smelt of smoke on drop off, milkshakes came with straws so unable to drink properly. Chocolate mixed fresh fruit was far from the name, it was frozen strawberries and an old banana. Overpriced for what it was.

The food was amazing the burgers were delicious and delivery took 20 mins I absolutely recommend it

Yesterday was the first time to visit, I ordered milkshake and waffles. Both were really good. I loved the atmosphere although I was only there to pickup my order but I am planning to dine in on day.

Service was good but food was disappointing. Portion of rice was in child size bowl but charged at an expensive price. Samosa wasn’t the best. Curry was just disappointing. Starter was blend and taste the same as our main dish. Salad was old and dry.

Been going to Shalimar for over 25 years now. Best balti in the area by a country mile, immense naan breads. Never had a bad meal here. Top service, fantastic family business with great food every time.

Best curry house in the whole of Staffordshire, Top service and staff.

We used to enjoy coming to The Shalimar, but it seems that they have changed from serving the food in decent crockery to serving everything as a Balti in a Balti dish. I don't want my Rogan Josh as a Balti.

Been there wen its was on the corner by the church v good but by far the worst curry ive had in yrs , and getting worst this review is base on giving them plenty of chances because of the above will not be eating there again based on v poor food. service has never been bad

Nice food but pricey for delivery but suppose worth it

I'm reading some of these previous negative reviews and thinking do people actually know what an actual traditional curry should look and taste like.....Shalimar have been in the business a very long time and its an experience like no other from the time you walk in till you exit the premises. Its a family owned business with family like virtues & traditions. They make you feel like family. The food is brilliant....5 stars for me all day long !! Give them a try!

Shalimar is the best curry place I've been to in Stoke on trent,I travel from Birmingham to Stoke just for a shalimar curry,the service is brilliant,deco,hygiene everything is bang on,I don't have a single complaint. Not to forget the boss and his Mrs they are top people always looking after us and very welcoming

Had a takeaway meal, chips were cold and mushy and the currys we ordered were all sauce with lots of spices and very little chicken or lamb like 2 or 3 pieces of meat terrible !

Fantastic service this evening. Delivery received with a slight error that they rectified amazingly fast and with the upmost care. Brilliant!

A few years ago this curry house and service was amazing after approximately 4 deliveries the food delivered became sub standard and cold. Three weeks ago we decided to try again where we had two weeks of fabulous hot fresh food delivered. Tonight we have ordered again only to be disappointed with dry chicken in our balti, cold chips and rice and hard cold naan bread. To say I am gutted is an understatement but will never order from shalimar again.

I’ve ordered the takeaway tonight and food was awful. Chicken Biryani was horrendous, so as mushroom paneer. Once i rang the place to complain about the food. The guy on the phone was horrible and Become very defensive. This place is a joke. Do not try this place again

Eaten here several times over the past 2 years and never had a bad meal. Curries provide an excellent range of flavours and I will definitely eat here again

Can I just say that this is by far thee best Indian cuisine I have ever had 👌 I pre ordered for collection when it opened and I picked up a chicken tikks faal extra hot and the wife a chicken tikka masaala extra mild. And in a nutshell 2 empty plates left and 2 very satisfied customers 10/10

Food was nice. Service not the best I had barely swallowed my last mouth of nan bread when a guy came over asked if I was done....I swallowed and said yes he took the plates and asked the person at the front for the bill! Good job I didn't want desert or coffee as was never given chance! Felt so uncomfortable I won't be going back.

Not a lover of the food here, although I have only been the once. I got a curry and a nan bread to take away, there was only a couple of pieces of chicken and a lot of lumpy gravey with no particular taste. To be fair the nan bread was huge and I got a free papudom but it wasn't enough to compensate for the disappointment of my meal.

Never had a bad meal here. Reasonable cost. Just wish they would take card payment otherwise would have given 5 stars.

So disappointed. This was our favourite curry house but been tonight and it was terrible. The service was shocking. Waited 20 mins to take our order then 20 mins for our starter and they forgot the popodoms. The starter was just warm. Cutlery was dirty and looked like it had been used and not washed. The Balti was dreadful, only warm, watery and poor taste. The naan was good but then a bottle of beer was warm. I am so disappointed must be new owners but all I can say is please avoid
