Indulgence Cakes & Treats in Ribble Valley

We stopped here for some lunch after a walk along the tolkien trail. The staff were really lovely and the service was fab. And the sandwiches were very tasty too 😊 Maybe a bit on the pricey side but very enjoyable meal overall!

It’s a great bar with excellent staff but the food options can be quite varied and the portions have been significantly reduced whilst prices going up. The owner is making some poor decisions…

I telephoned a few days ahead of our reservation to ask if we could have a window table per my online request. I also asked that we did not be seated on a main thoroughfare to the kitchen. Neither request was met, nor an explanation given on our arrival. I can only assume that the area in which we were seated was the restaurant's "guests with dogs area" as other diners had dogs with them like us. Dogs are not allowed at all in the evening. The 5 course meal at £49/£55 was enjoyable & most of the young waiting staff were pleasant & personable. I declined to have the 10% discretionary service charge added to our bill. Instead I paid the tip, in excess of 10%, in CASH for the staff to hopefully enjoy before Christmas 🎄 One area which was disappointing was the artificial PLASTIC Christmas tree 🎄 🤨😮‍💨 & foliage! A big 0/10 there I'm afraid. The toilets were very clean with individual hand towels for drying & handwash/handcream in dispensers. Another point to note is that the car park is quite dimly lit & on a dark, rainy December afternoon, a little dangerous to negotiate on foot. Sensor lights would be good 👍

I made the 40 mile journey through the ribble valley to sample their famous steak puddings…absolutely delicious, the meat was just melt in your mouth, the rest of the food was fantastic, onion rings to die for !! Portions were huge, managed some of my sweet that was also superb, was literally bursting on the drive home but very happy indeed, highly recommended and the staff and service was also second too none, 100% will return again..thanks

Staff (especially the chef) we’re so friendly and attentive !. Absolutely huge portions and food was delicious! 🤤 would highly recommend!
