Indo Chinese in Nottingham

Real neat place with an equally neat atmosphere; popping decor; 80s bops in the background and warm lighting. Their all you can eat periods are great value and the food's quality ain't that bad. Drinks aren't included in there but there's fruit that might do the trick. The selection available might not be sufficient for some but it worked just well for me. Their service ain't bad as well, at times striking up conversation and speeding with quick service. Dantha's doing great with their duties and is very sociable. There's a good amount of tables; a bar; toilets binary and non-binary. In all, it's a cool place for a meal and to just stay a while.

Fake advertising on the website and facebook page. 241 cocktails are after 9pm and it does Not state this anywhere. Very little selection of starters, Mains and desserts. None of the nice dishes they show on the videos on the website were available. The buffet area is tiny, there were two main dishes. We were absolutely shocked when we arrived considering it was a Friday at 7:30pm. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Very disappointed is an understatement. The biggest false advertising I have ever come across in a restaurant in my life.

Dantha and the team here are amazing. Top notch customer service and always super tasty food which you cant get anywhere else! Highly recommend this place to eat. They also do an amazing all you can eat buffet for 15 pounds! You really cant go wrong.

Upon entering INDO CHINESE, the initial impression was reminiscent of a hastily arranged wedding spread rather than a restaurant dining experience. The disappointment deepened as we discovered the sparse selection of dishes, with most of them needing replenishment upon our arrival. This resulted in our first plates being limited to rice and noodles. The available options were predominantly fish and tofu, with only one lamb dish, one beef dish, and one chicken dish to choose from. Unfortunately, the quality of these offerings fell short of our expectations, leaving much to be desired. I've experienced better variety and taste at home-cooked all-you-can-eat meals. Adding to the disappointment was the subpar service. We waited approximately 20 minutes for someone to take our drink order, only to learn that the two-for-one cocktails, which were advertised, were only available until 5 pm—a detail conspicuously absent from their social media and website. Disheartened, we settled for three cokes, which were served with ice that tasted like stale tap water. Overall, our experience at INDO CHINESE was far from satisfactory. From the lackluster selection of dishes to the disappointing service and beverage quality, we left feeling thoroughly dissatisfied.

This was a very poor experience for us compared to what we are used to. . The reviews seemed good, so we decided to give it try. We had to book, yet the place was empty. (never a good sign) It was a costly mistake. The plates were really cold and the main dishes were limited, lacking in flavour and barely warm. Opening the containers exposed sparse and overcooked food. Even the chips and other dry items were cold. The people on the adjacent table were keen to tell us how disappointed they were and even more annoyed about the cost for such a limited poorly presented menu. The sweet selection was 80% melon, which I do not like at all. The best items in the whole menu were small chocolate sponge cake squares and thinly sliced pineapple. Like the people on the other table, we came away hungry and with £30 less in our pocket. All you can eat is irrelevant when it is not enjoyable. We all decided not to have any drinks, but to visit a local pub instead. We will never return here, but will stick to our usual venues which have never let us down.

Had some delicious food. I am a vegetarian and I found a good range of vegetarian food to choose from. The staff was very friendly and good cocktails.

The staff was very welcoming we had the buffet and it was nice could of done with a bit more variety of food choices bit we had a laugh with the staff and had a great time I think should have some prawn crackers on table to nibble on also

Must say the staff were really nice but when we arrived the place was empty and it was very cold inside and I was uncomfortable sat there ,we booked for 12:15 nothing was ready we sat and waited about 20 minutes for a drink which I must say the drinks are very over priced too . We went up to get the food which I found the selection wasn’t enough lots of noodles rice and fish but not much meat and when we plated it up and took it back to our table it just wasn’t warm it certainly wasn’t anywhere near hot at all so based on that we got up and left and went to dine somewhere else I felt bad but if the food isn’t hot and neither is the place I just couldn’t sit there and enjoy anything which is a shame because I was looking forward to trying different cuisine . Maybe having things cooked fresh would have made a difference as the reviews are quite good but the buffet needs serious work and it must be hot when plated it honestly wasn’t even borderline warm I’m not surprised trying to keep food hot under tea lights but never mind we won’t be returning anyway just an honest review of how it went I hope in future you can sort out these issues

When around 4.20 pm on Friday. It was empty. The buffet that’s £15 was ok only around 10 items to choose from. Wasn’t a good choice. Coke in a bottle was £3.45 I think. Staff were really nice. Just a shame about the food

Excellent quality of fusion food. Loved the Singaporean noodles and devilled fish. Would definitely be back. The service was great and our server made sure we were comfortable the moment we entered the place.

Great food always, and our waiter Izza was very friendly. The hoppers are really tasty. Will be back at some point.

We went there on last Saturday and we’re not happy with experience at all. It took ages to get our food after we ordered it. “The Colombo Street” (Shri Lankan Restaurant) is also in the same building and as we understood they are both have just one kitchen, and there was definitely the lack of staff. Even after eating, it took so much time to receive bill. The food was not bad, but one of my Indian friend was totally disappointed (she said she could do much better at home, and the food was not so authentic actually). For me someone trying info-Chinese cuisine second time, it was not that bad. But I wouldn’t say I enjoyed my expats much as the first one (in London)
