What a really good find, they suggested a mix of starters which were really good and then the mains were awesome. Too much food in reality but really enjoyed this.

I was kindly invited to the wonderful Indian Tiffin Room recently to their Leeds City Centre branch and the food and cocktails there are something else, everything was delicious. Don’t overlook this beautiful restaurant with the current scaffolding outside, inside you’ll be transported to an Indian wonderland with it’s themed and marvellous decor. [AD|INVITE] And the food… WOW. Established in 2013,this Indian Street Food restaurant group opened it’s first place in Cheadle. They have a vast menu, inspired by the bustling streets of India. Everything we tried in the Leeds restaurant was personally selected and recommended by the staff (and because we just couldn’t choose from all of the amazing sounded dishes), was perfection We enjoyed; Gobi Manchurian (£7.25); Cauliflower, wok fried the Indo-Chinese way. This was absolutely delicious. Highway Chicken Tikka NEW (£10.95) Dahi Puri (£5.25); Puffed hollow pastry rounds filled with potato and yogurt. To be eaten whole! Crispy Malabar Fish Fry NEW (£8) Sweet Potato Masala Chips (£4.50) Tanjore Chicken with Kal Dosa (£18); Chicken cooked with legendary chettinad spices. Served with a lentil pancake. Pan Asian Prawn Masala with Lemon Vermicelli (£19); Prawns cooked in a smokey chipotle chilli sauce, a South-East Asian inspired flavour. Serviced with thin rice noodes. This had a real kick to it! Bombay Delight (Served in a lightbulb glass!!) & In The Pink Cocktails (£10.75 each) We were really impressed with the food, drinks, exquisite service and restaurant itself. Some of the prices can seem a little high, but the dishes are absolutely high standard, large portions and I feel it’s a real treat to dine here It would be great for a special occasion. Opening Times; Mon – Fri 12pm – 10pm Sat – 1pm – 10:30pm & Sun – 1pm – 9:30pm Indian Tiffin Room also have restaurants based in Cheadle, Manchester and Liverpool.

Delicious food, pushy service and awkward atmosphere. We were sat in front of a noisy ground-mounted AC unit and the toilets were flooded. The waitress upsold more than was appropriate.

Booked a meal here for Saturday night , when we arrived on time ,table wasn't ready so we were told to wait in bar area and order drinks .. 3 barman behind bar that didn't acknowledge us in the 15 minutes we waited for the table so no drinks . When we finally got to our table we heard an almighty chanting from a guy on the next table which continued throughout the meal , the party of 14 he was with found this amusing but other diners found this disturbing my party in particular.we asked the waiter for recommendations and he ticked about 8 different starters for us to share not explaining what they were , so we decided to look ourselves we chose 4 mains 2 rice and 2 nan breads , I specifically asked for my dish to be mild which the waiter said wouldn't be a problem.. the food arrived and was served he placed mine down and said this is the mild one ..perfect.. first bite blew my head off he had mixed the dishes up.. on explaining this when they collected our plates and lots of food not eaten especially mine his response was come again tomorrow and I'll make sure you get the right food .. absolutely not .. big chain like this should get it right first time especially for the price .. the bill came to £109 total waste of money never again beware

Really unexpected surprise. We booked very last minute and not sure what to expect We’ve been to Mowgli so had a benchmark to aim at Was great!!! Staff were lovely, food was excellent and spicy!!!! And the atmosphere was buzzing Would definitely return

Had office party there. Awesome experience. Great food with very good service. Love their Indo Chinese food, reminded me of Kolkata street food. Loved the deserts also. All foods are equally good. Had their pav bhaji previously also via ordering, it was spicy and delicious. And Cocktails are excellent, specially Khatarnak drink. 😂 Planning to visit there soon.

I ordered shezwan rice and got that authentic taste after a long time. Really loved my time over there.

Ambience is amazing. Walking upto our seats, we were visually treated with beautiful decorations plastered around with quality instrumentals played on impressive speaker, not so loud to drown your conversation, yet you could hear tinkers of it. With some catchy slogans pasted across the backs of staff like 'you're the chilly to my paneer' and 'gobi mancunian', the place felt like in touch with the modern times and in sync with its local positioning with the crowd as well as with its roots without protesting too much. Service was fair enough. I felt we reached the venue a bit too early during the day when the kitchens are being fired up and that caused slight delays in getting the dishes but it's more with our timing and not with the service which was impeccable. Staff serving with a smile and not minding that a 4 year old climbed on top of the table was quite heartening to see. Coming to the food, I felt it was mercurial. We had a cocktail (can't remember the name but it was mango flavoured) which was astonishingly delicious, presented in a very unique bulb shaped glass. The Lassi there was quite good too, as evident by me taking 3 servings of that. The starters we ordered were squids and chicken lollipop, both of which were quite delicious. Dahi puri was also sumptuous. We had ordered pav bhaji too which we found to be unnecessarily spicy. On the mains, we had chicken vishaka which was nice and had all kinds of tastes but a real bummer was mysore masala dosa. No zing in the sambhar, coconut chutney was very very fine but tasted bland with no signs of any tempering (tadka) in it (forgive me for my lack of knowledge if any of the 5 southern states of India follow this practice, but I've mostly found coconut chutney with at least cumin and curry leaves tempered in it). We were expecting it to be mind boggling with the south Indian dishes but we're left a little wanting to be honest. Pricing wise, I guess there might be a need to optimize, (again it could be wishful thinking amidst price rises across the country) given 2 and a half people had their meal for almost 100 quids. I personally went with a mindset and with the advices of my peers that since it specialises in south indian dishes, it would be wise to order them instead of many other dishes from other parts of India on the menu (like laal maas, Nalli nihari, etc) but I felt a few things lacking from dosa which is a little hard to ignore.

I got to know from one of my friends and came here after that but after i came here i found their staff very rude plus it was just 1 minute and i asked them can i change the order they were like no you cannot in very rude behavior

Had a late night booking at 9pm, the staff were fantastic the whole night. Food came out in good time and was delicious throughout Would definitely go again

Today I had the pleasure of dining at Indian Tiffins and I must say that our experience was greatly enhanced by the exceptional service provided by our Sky Akash and the food was tasty and delicious. From the moment we were seated, [Waiter's Name] greeted us with a warm and genuine smile. Throughout the meal, they were attentive without being intrusive, ensuring our glasses were always full and our needs were met promptly.

Sunish & Swapnali were amazing! They were super attentive and gave amazing recommendations - big thank yous!!!

We visited on 11/07 as a group of 19 for a corporate dinner. The staff could not have been more attentive both prior and during the meal. A special shout out to Swapnali who looked after us on the evening. The food was fantastic, everyone enjoyed their meal especially the chef's special selection of starters (a brilliant way to try lots of difference menu items!). Thanks again for your wonderful hospitality - highly recommend.

Amazing food and ambience. In cold of Leeds was craving for warm Indian food and had their south indian delicacy which was really a comfort food. Thanks to Swapnali who was really fast and helpful.

Amazing food! So different from the 'usual' offerings of a curry house. Lots of vegetarian options obviously. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend

This is one of the good Asian/Indian restaurants I have found in Leeds. It has a great ambiance, and the service is also great. The service is worth the price. The dahi puri I had was really good.

Came to tiffin room for our regular paani puri plates. Have come here many time however was served today by Swapnali. Very pleasent interaction and excellent customer service by her. Attended to us promptly and even gave first hand experience of trying the tiffin room paani puri. Great addition to the lovely team here!

Ugh my favourite! This place is Amazing. The Chili Cheese Dosa is outrageously good! The Vegetarian Fried rice is a must too! Will definitely come back soon 💙

Always a pleasure to dine at this restaurant with friends and family and to know they won't be disappointed. Staff friendly, nothing is too much trouble and they aim for the customers to have an enjoyable experience. Food consistently good with a full Vegan menu on offer. Will never tire of visiting this restaurant and would highly recommend to those that have not tried it. 10/10 😉

I have never tried Indian authentic Paani Puri, Sev Puri, Pav Bhaji, Rasmalai before. It was my first time & totally worth it. The taste is amazing, atmosphere is peaceful with pleasant music, last but not the least, service is awesome. Indian Tiffin Room Leeds made my Leeds trip most memorable forever!!! 💜💜💜

Me and my partner left our fate in the hands of our server! The menu was quite unusual and we were not familiar with a lot of the dishes. Plus we would rather try something new than going with something familiar, so we asked the waiter to choose for us anything she likes, with no dietary restrictions or issues with spice. We got some great food and were very happy. The only negative of the place is that it was crowded and noisy, and quite hot in there, but it's definitely worth a visit.

Had such a fantastic meal here - our server recommended starters and had such a nice mix of food. Everything we had was so tasty. We will definitely come back again!!

Amazing. As a Canadian tourist venturing far from e, I was surprised to find such a great Indian restaurant in Leeds!!

After making a reservation at a different Indian and still being turned down my friend and I frantically looked on Googlemaps and found the Indian Tiffin Room to be the nearest. We didn't know what to expect but were pleasantly taken aback by how friendly and helpful the staff were, how yummy the food was. We were served by a lady who I believe is called Swapnali and we found her to be incredibly approachable and attentive, even spotting that I was struggling with my soggy straw and replacing it for me without me asking. She is a credit to the restaurant. Definitely recommend this place, I had the Palak Paneer, delicious!

We came here to celebrate our uncles birthday, we had managed to book out and area of the restaurant . We were in a group of about 20 of us, so we had to order in advance, but the food arrived promptly and on time - the staff initially invited us to the bar whilst the table was being prepared. The cocktails were amazing, with a wide range of fun and exciting options available. The food was great, and the curries were well seasoned. However, at times, it felt that it was overly spicy. We would definitely come back for indian food if in the area!

I just went there for dinner on 25th April and i ordered many things for eat in and i also ordered pav bhaji for take away and when i opened it at home it way very less quantity means just enough for one pav like 2-3 bites. Really embarassing.

Not the best main courses, I'd say to load up on the starters which are delicious. Stay clear from grilled chicken and lamb

Such a shame, went for a birthday meal with my family. The food was nice but the service was incredibly poor. The staff were quite rude and didn’t make us feel very welcome. Would think twice now before going. The vegetarian options are good but the service puts me off now.

Yesterday me and my friends had gone to ITR for having some savoury snack and we ordered dosas we just loved the taste of the dosas and it had authentic Indian taste and crispy.!! I personally loved the chilli cheese dosa. Swapnali and simran were friendly and attentive. Thanks we had good time. I Will definitely visit again.

First time here and absolutely loved it. The food is great along with the service and the attentive staff.

I been there for lunch. Just to try i ordered an idli the coconut chuntey that it came with was just stale. The clarified butter “ Desi Ghee” was more like oil. In addition the simplest dishes like chilli chicken and butter chicken were just sweeter than the Rasamali they serve. Service was really good but food was just not worth the hype. Definitely not worth the money. Totally spoiled my afternoon mood. Just stick to the roots and use original recipes.

Lovely food nice restaurant staff are not very good waited 20 minutes for a Pepsi of when it arrived we were leaving so canceled the drink but was still charged, was asked twice to pay the bill when it had already been paid.

My first visit here, What a lovely restaurant! Very authentic Indian taste, Indian ambience with steel cutlery and glasses. Quantity of butter chicken was somewhat less for 2 people but taste was awesome. Indo-Chinese section was good plus portion was also fine. Overall, a good experience - still there can be improvement in taste of food and bit more hot :)

First visit yesterday evening, after passing this place for years. Wow - amazing food I’m still thinking about it now and wondering how too is too soon to go back. Service was great, we were with some tricky dinners who could have appeared borderline rude as they don’t get out much (mother and mother-in-law) but the staff didn’t let that phase them. 100x better than a similar well know chain on boar lane offering a similar menu.

Would not recommend this place, this place does not have a variety of curry options if you’re looking to eat a proper curry. This is not authentic Indian. The pancake and curry that we got recommended was okay, however the pancake was like plastic. The chilli chicken was nice. Also I bought my own drink in as I’m allergic to certain ingredients so wanted a nice experience, however the waitress when she saw this, she snatched the drink off the table and ran off without even asking if it was okay to take the drink away, she made it out like I had killed someone by bringing my own drink in 💀 Her behavior was appalling. There’s a certain way of doing things. Thank you next.

We went on a Monday and had the meat free menu, which was perfect as we're vegetarian! The food was exquisite and the service was so helpful and kind. Thank you for the lovely meal!

I originally wrote a 5 star review for the Indian Tiffin Room four years ago, how times have changed. The restaurant still looks really nice, nice decor, but that's about it. I guess in four years they have had a couple of chef changes and currently the food quality isn't that spectacular or particularly plentiful considering the price. The wating staff were also quite pushy, and not particularly helpful when we asked questions about the menu, instead choosing to just recommend the most expensive dishes.

If you're after some amazing tasty food, amazing portions and at a decent price, you've found the right place. The staff so so helpful, suggesting good foods, what would be good based on what you could order, very helpful, better than most staff who would just take your order and disappear. Portions are deceptively filling, the spice level is good, spicy but not over powering. If you want something a bit different to what you're used to in every other Indian restaurant, then I highly advise a visit.
