Superb indian cuisine I had tonight had garlic chilli chicken,lemon rice , sheek kebab starter the owner told me I would enjoy it, and he was right best garlic chilli chick I've had.

Ordered all of the following last night and I can honestly say it was the best takeaway curry I’ve had in Hemel. They even offered 10% off if you collect. I will defo be using again. I ordered from here last night for the first time ever even though I have been living in Boxmoor for 14 years i was so surprised how good the food was and how you really get a proper difference in flavor between the dishes excellent this has to be the best Indian I have ever had in outside eating in an actual restaurant the chef is first class

We had a mid week order for 13 people, all the dishes were hot & food was superb. Ready really quickly, extremely friendly staff & very helpful regarding a celiac customer. Will definitely be ordering again.

Not great, used to be brilliant this place! Food just wasn’t right which is such a shame! Rice and naan tasted like it come out of a packet. Won’t be using them unfortunately again

All I can say is very disappointed with my Indian takeaway the chicken shashlik had vinegary sort of sour flavour the onions hardy cooked, and the butter chicken tasted of just coconut. The aloo gobi was all mushy, I will not rush back

If I could give y'all 0 starts, trust me I definitely would. Absolutely garbage food. Got two butter chickens and what a waste of money. Taste nothing like butter chicken absolutely nothing like it. Overpriced and tasteless food. Disgrace in the name of indian food. Fix that Or else better of closing down the restaurant.

Really good food at a good value vs other restaurants/take away. However the service can be improved, when they say 30 min, they mean 45 min. Placing order over the phone is a bit of a challenge, they don't listen and are very forgetful, they don't even take your name unless you give it to them at the end of the call. However you can place an order online. Overall good and I will definitely order again, as the food is very good.

Food took over an hour to arrive. Food was tasteless and therefore went in the bin. First and last time we will ever use this place.

Never a bad takeaway for me, eating a lamb bhuna as we speak and the flavours are just amazing! Service is always great, very polite and quick! My go to Indian takeaway!

Thought I'd give their butter chicken a try. It was my first time and I'm disappointed. It tastes NOTHING like butter chicken. Looks like something else like pumpkin curry or something. All I can taste is coconut. Y'all need to fix that. Not gonna order anything from here again.

The comment is just on the food, which in my view was really bad. It’s a first time in my life I put an unfinished Indian meal to the bin. Although my preference is a savoury butter chicken, I usually tolerate one when served in sweeter manner. The one this place serves is unbearably sugary, so much that I binned it after having eaten 1/3 of the portion. The rice was ok, but the garlic naan didnt taste like anything. I am never going back to this place again, but perhaps people who enjoy sweet chicken will be satisfied, and clearly there are people who like their food out there.

Never had a negative experience. Always good food. Always good service. Reasonable prices. I know my neighbours love it too and they recommended it to me. I would recommend myself.

I personally think that this is the best Indian takeaway in hemel Hempstead The staff are very friendly and helpful the restaurant has a 5 star health food hygiene certificate and looks clean inside Been Using this place now for around a year and have never had a bad meal The quality of the lamb is the best I've ever had from an Indian restaurant And they do one of the nicest madras I have ever tried The only problem I would say with this place is if you go to pick the food up the parking is awful but they deliver So not really a major problem just be aware

Food is terrible cheese nan is prepared with cheese slices not even with proper cheese been here to collect normally collection time is 30 mins ended up waiting 45 mins DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE

I live less than a mile from Indian spice... I was very disappointed rice was like something you get from a ready meal and everything tasted like butter!! Awful. Didn’t every finish a few bites !! Fingers crossed no upset stomach tomorrow!

Visiting from Glasgow, fancied some halal "desi" food. I'm always sceptical about ordering such food but was pleasantly surprised Ordered chicken biryani, mixed platter and lamb biryani. Kids are very fussy eaters but their plates were empty and grateful for well seasoned food without it being uncomfortably hot. Well done. If I'm ever back, I will pop in again

Very disappointed. Ordered through kukd. Delivered on time and was hot. That is the only positive feedback I have. I ordered tandoori mixed grill. This was mainly inedible. The lamb was stringy and I could not even chew it. The piece of tandoori chicken was a joke at nearly all the meat was missing. The stater of a shredded meat wrap had about a tablespoon of meat in it. Most of the meal went in the bin. I do not recommend this take away at all

Not the same standard as the Alinoor, very greasy and lacking flavour. Daal soup had no lentils in and was basically coloured water with some sediment at the bottom. Most the food ended up in the bin. Also seemed quite expensive.

have recently moved to the area, and as we have no kitchen we ordered and collected from Indian Spice. food took a bit of time as was cooked fresh, but it was incredible, spice for the sake of flavour rather than heat. Nas behind the counter was very chatty and quick to give us some recommended dishes which were all delicious, i have seen a few negative reviews, but these mostly seem to relate to the delivery service which i have not tried.

Since converting from the Alinoor the quality of food has nose-dived. We regularly used the Alinoor but since rebranding and adding a glitzy shopfront the key ingredient (the nosh) has been consistently poor. As we are local I have tried three times but Friday's experience has completely put me off. Sadly I would now drive to collect from a favourite in the old town rather than walk a couple of hundred years to Indian Spice. The main courses were devoid of any depth of flavour and were 90% sauce with hardly any meat or veg. The vegetarian masala was particularly poor and so sweet it was hardly edible.

Cold food. 1 item I received was wrong and they changed it for the correct item. Chicken dish was dry and inedible; had to be thrown away! Most of the food ended up in the bin! Will not be using it again

Absolutely fuming ordered and they added an extra hr to delivery time only for it to still not turn up all in all been waiting over 2 hrs called them 37 times and been engaged the whole time no one has come or called me or emailed me ruining my entire evening will never ever use them again I ordered at 7.20 and it’s not 9.44 adding an update my food turned up at 10.05 and said they were very sorry been really busy and offered me the food on the house so fair play to them although still very disappointed it had to come to that but the food on the other hand is very nice I will say that much

I miss Alinoor :( been away for two years, came back looking forward to a good curry. It wasn’t great. I’ll give it a 2nd chance tho. And report back accordingly..... Have the two 5 Star review been done by staff? Bit suspect...
