Indian Smokehouse in Cannock Chase

Discusting food, I have never eaten chicken ticka masala like this, no onion red colour, lamb rogan was very salty, naan was burned and thin. I will never order again.

Very friendly and accommodating. Would totally recommend.

Found this whilst out shopping food was amazing and very well priced. Though this must be a fluke. Return visit proved me wrong different dish snd wonderful. The staff are very welcoming so happy we found out new fav place.

Great experience and a fairly priced family meal! (Paid more for fish and chips at a local chippy just a week ago). Food quality is great and owner was very accommodating with our young son! Will go again!

Ok food but felt more of a sports bar mixed in with a soft play than an Indian.

The butter chicken was awful, they put burnt tandoori chicken in the butter sauce! The butter sauce was watery when it's supposed to be thick and creamy, really disappointed with the quality of the butter chicken dish!

Place is full of under 18s all about 15,16 and snorting coke in the toilets, I’m only 21 and I was probably the oldest one in there. Spoke to the owner of the pub who replied there all 18 and shrugged his shoulders about doing drugs in the toilet, generally just didn’t care. Will never go again.

A nice decent Indian mix grill place outside the usual Birmingham/ black country. Nice pints, decent food.

Despite the name, they don't like you smoking in there.

Order from here often and it is usually very nice. This time the food came cold, the curry had absolutely no flavour and the rice was crunchy and didn’t feel cooked. It wasn’t a very pleasant meal and very disappointing as we were looking forward to it as it’s usually nice. The only positive thing I can say about this order is that it arrived very quickly.

Oil had to be drained out of curries prior to being able to eat and due to the amount of grease was unable to eat and enjoy the food.

Best place in Hednesford for Sport on TV, Beers and traditional indian Desi type food. Daz N Lou

Food arrived the butter chicken was like chicken in coloured water absolutely awful couldn’t eat it threw it in the bin. Won’t order again wasted money

Best tandoori mixed grill you will find outside of Birmingham or the Black Country! 10/10, they also do a delicious Balti sauce!

I've eaten here a few times now and the food has never let me down. The chef is amazing and beer is always perfect. To sumerise: great food, great beer and good price.

Food was disgusting tasted like a shop bought dinner was waaaay too hot (asked for mild) and the rice was bland and left a horrible after taste in my mouth …… avoid at all cost and save your money

Meat tasted old and out of date. Not a decent cut of chicken very grizzly. Lamb chops not cooked efficiently. Curry sauces very watery.

Food smelt Devine. However, the chicken tikka masala ordered had very little and small pieces of chicken. Mainly sauce. Onion bhaji’s looked great (size of tennis balls) but we’re like mush inside. I think they were under cooked. No salad to accompany them and the dip was like water. Keema naan was horrible, looked like it had brown meat paste out of a jar spread inside it and bread was flat, more like a chapati. Pilau rice was average. Chips were nice. We will never order a takeaway from here again. Extremely disappointed!!!

Worst curry I have eaten - watery, tasteless,had better out of a jar, Nan bread had no filling and tasteless. Avoid!!

We had had 2 previous orders which were fantastic, both on a Saturday night. Ordered the same last night, arrived 1 hour later than it said when ordering and the Saag we ordered didn’t taste like saag; more of a Balti with spinach thrown in. Quality of food was good but not what we asked for, especially when we’d ordered the exact same dish the previous weeks so knew what it should taste like

Ordered food, was happy with that. Checked online banking and it took out £40 for a £30 order.

Masala Sauce was very very watery, ordered cheese naan bread but there was no cheese in it! Also never ordered an indian before and not had a couple of popadoms come free when spending almost £20! Only good thing was it was fast delivery.

Food was disgusting won’t be ordering from here again. Nan bread was like paper thin and a little filling of keema. Ordered a chicken tikka cheese nan and it came as a plain Nan. Madras was like water and full of herbs no spice at all. Fish pakora was soggy.

Very disappointed considering the other reviews. The tikka masala if you can call it that was more like chicken in watery tomato soup!! That keema naan was a few pieces of unseasoned mince in a funky tasting bread. We all have an off day but I won't be risking another order here.

My keema nann was more like bread and mince meat. The korma tasted nothing like korma. The chips were dry and shrivelled. All were disappointed

Fabulous food, friendly and attentive staff, owner explained the geographical backgrounds and differences between curries on the menu. We turned up unbooked and starving after a late hospital appointment on a Monday evening...i thought they'd want to be cleaning up ready to go home but the staff were still up for giving us a great service. All cooked fresh before our eyes. Delicious. Would definitely recommend the service and food. Plenty of large tv screens a bonus if you're a sports fan. Thank you for turning a miserable Monday evening into a delicious one.

This is a sports bar with Indian Food so I believe that should manage most peoples expectations as it isn't a fine dining restaurant. More specifically this place serves Indian mixed grills which are quite popular with a lot of people. The mixed grill is probably one of the best I have tasted IMO it wasn't oily and the spice/heat was just right - didn't feel overly bloated after eating a fair bit. Staff could be more interactive but as long as the food and drink is good and issues are resolved promptly when they arise then I really don't have any complaints! Will definitely be visiting again very soon.

Food cold and not good standard very disappointing

Went for a quiz night. This was by far the worst quiz I had ever experienced. The quizmaster was extremely poor and his PA equipment was not up to the job. I didn’t like the atmosphere as it felt very rowdy and it felt like a fight could kick off at any minute. The price of the drinks was expensive and it appeared that a lot of the clientele were teenagers. I would not recommend this place and I will not be coming back.

Was expecting more of a restaurant feel. Order and pay for your drinks then order and pay for food separately. Atmosphere loud and people constantly swearing. Food was delivered but had to go and find own culterlry, plates etc. Food over spiced and felt like a takeaway box you warm up from the supermarket, greasy . Chalked it up to experience wouldnt go again or recommend people go for meals . No staff interaction i dont think they were bothered.

Boss man asked me to leave a review so here it is, food is top notch, can’t complain, I rate the desi curry, usually have lamb or goat, tastes legit. Not as cheap as other takeaways so if your one of these who wants cheap food and lots of it it probably won’t be for you, but I’m happy paying for the quality

We ordered a takeaway from here to fight and can honestly say it was amazing! I have a partner with a severe nut allergy and they was very accommodating towards this! Definatly be our regular Indian from now on! Very nut allergy friendly for future bookers!

Have ordered from here for a good few weeks now and our food has always been amazing. We've never had a problem. But tonight I'm not sure whats going on, my garlic rice had a weird smell and the same weird taste, my partners pilau rice had a nasty chemical taste to it. The chips weren't cooked right and tasted bad the best part was the naan breads everything else didn't get eaten. Highly disappointed tonight :(

Ordered at 6:30pn this evening with an estimated eta of 7:25. It’s now 21:00 and we’re still waiting. Restaurant aren’t answering the phone and Deliveroo are worse than useless. Won’t be ordering from here again. £29 totally wasted 😡

First time ordering from here, my lamb curry and the saag paneer were nice and tasty, however my partners prawn tikka masala was a bit light on prawns and overly sweet, and the poppadoms were stale as they lacked crunch. Nice mint dip.

OK. Ordered a cheesechilly naan and got a plain naan. That aside the lamb saag was the tastiest I have had in years. Absolutely delicious.

Brilliant!! it’s been a while since we last ate at the smokehouse and haven’t before had a delivery. however, this was excellent food was brought to the door with care by a very pleasant gentleman, great customer service skills and incredibly polite. extremely happy, our third time ordering, it’s either been bang on time or early. If you leave a note for the restaurant they actually read it and do as you’ve asked unlike many other restaurants on here. The food is absolutely unreal, our favourite takeaway in the area now by a mile. Friendly service on the phone and at the door also, literally cannot fault this restaurant at all.
