The hara kebab starter was fabulous. We often order takeaway from here as the food is so good. But it is really lovely to eat in, staff are fabulous, a busy but welcoming atmosphere - my first choice if I am taking friends out even tho there is some healthy competition in the surrounding area. Love this place.

The ‘go to’ curry house in Balham. Great value and great staff. Can’t recommend enough.

Wonderful experience all round from the moment we walked in. We ordered the papadums which are usually quite standard but this was not the case, these were very delicious. We also ordered the non-veg thali and Chana which was ample for two as we were not very hungry but still ended up taking a bit as a takeaway. The food was delicious and very authentic. Cannot wait to be back soon. Special mention to Lateef for making it extra special.

What a gem, came across this place via a post on Facebook group ‘ Tooting Newise’. So decided to give it a try. It’s now going to be a firm favourite. Great tasting food, whilst being beautifully presented. It tasted like the ingredients are of high quality and nothing was too heavy or oily. The service from the staff was friendly and attentive. We met the manager who was extremely hospitable. This restaurant is well worth a visit and gives its competitors a run for their money. We will most definitely be booking in and coming back again.

All food was outstanding!! Flavour, tenderness of meat and service. Prawn puree, squid, lamb samosa, chicken tikka starters. Lamb madras, Roman josh, salmon and prawn mains with mushroom rice, garlic & corriander nan. Never had better. Highly recommend!! Staff amazing and attentive. Prawn puree and squid starter was particularly outstanding. Dips for poppadoms were new and amazing.... corriander, mango chutney with a twist and traditional mint raita. Can't wait to visit again yum!!!

The food was spicy and I like spicy. My mother does not know how to cook indian food, and this restaurant is a good reference for copyiing any said cuisine.

we have been going to the India Room for some years , but have not been for a while. There is anew management in place and the food is as good as ever if not better. Wednesday was a quiet night so not too noisy, good friendly service and fresh tasty food.

Great tasting food, good portion size. Restaurant a little cramped as tables close together but service good.

We went there for fine dine experience. It was nowhere close to a fine dine experience as the waiting staff kept disturbing after every 2 mins either for lights, or candle on the table or just simply to chit chat with us. Nobody gave us space to enjoy our food or conversations. Also, all the waiting staff keep looking at your food when you eat, highly unprofessional. We ordered paneer karahi and mutter paneer with chilly garlic naan. The curries were really bad and tasteless. After eating the food at this place , we had food poisoning and I am sure they don't maintain food and safety hygiene standards at this place. Save your money and don't go here fellas!

Delicious food through every course. I love hot food and asked for the vindaloo to be EXTRA hot……. Oh boy did they deliver! One of the hottest curry’s I’ve ever tasted! But still tasty! They even brought a complimentary NORMAL vindaloo to taste the real...

Lovely friendly staff, really buzzing atmosphere and warm and welcoming on a cold January evening! Food was excellent although I chose a dish that was hotter than I would normally have chosen!
