We had a delicious dinner! Came from Netherlands to eat at Indian room, because we read only positive news about it. We had a great evening. Thank you.

Booked for dinner and had a very enjoyable experience. The curries were very flavoursome and had a good spice to them. These were complemented with delicious Onion Bhaji and Vege Samosas as starters. Additionally, the service was very attentive as the waiters welcomed us and ensured that dishes were cleared after we had finished. I will definitely be back and would recommend it to anyone in Balham.

The best 'local' Indian restaurant. I moved 5 miles aways, but keep coming back. Excellent food, charming service and wonderful value. Highly recommend.

Nice restaurant. Good food & service. Sheek kebabs & meat samosas for starters. Great presentation & super tasty. Chicken korma & chicken dansak, plus pilau rice, plain rice & plain naan for mains. Very nice indeed.

Fantastic! Great atmosphere, buzzing and busy but the service was fast and the staff were all friendly. Food was fabulous and varied. We had a couple of dishes we wouldn't normally have and were not disappointed. All the food was excellent. As a side note they sell Kingfisher as well as Kingfisher Zero for the non drinkers!

Authentic taste with classy presentation. And the prices are surprisingly not high for what you get to see and eat. Fabulous, attentive and friendly service. I shall go back again at my next visit to London. Highly recommend everyone try it.

Always very friendly staff, the food tastes excellent and then portion sizes are large.

The food here is really great. The restaurant was extremely busy but everyone enjoyed their dishes and portions were very generous. The serving staff were all very lovely and efficient considering how busy the restaurant was. The table placement in the restaurant is however very overcrowded, there’s barely any space between tables and the noise from everyone needing to shout over each other is very overbearing. Also, I was confused as to why people were being allowed to openly vape. It was really unpleasant and no staff were intervening.

I've been ordering take-out from Indian Room occasionally over the last few years - the food has been delicious every time. My latest order was tiny, three poppadoms, four samosas, a salad and some chutneys. Despite the order being so small (more of a snack really!), Indian Room was kind enough to include a couple of extra poppadoms and also a beer - how nice is that? That's on top of a little discount that they're running currently. I can thoroughly recommend them, fabulous food every time and really lovely customer service - thank you! :)

I ordered a takeaway directly from their website and it was the best Indian I’ve ever had 🤤 I think about this meal once a day I miss it!!! I would highly recommend their food, now I want to try dining in. The man who delivered the meal was so lovely as well. Couldn’t recommend this enough 🥰

Ate here with a friend yesterday (Sunday lunchtime) and loved it. The food was yummy (mixed tandoori grill, daal, and an aubergine dish). The salted lassi was thick and creamy. Very tasty. The serving team were super friendly without being over the top. And they made some great food recommendations. The bonus was the 30% discount on the food bill as it was a Sunday! (Discount runs Sunday - Thursday each week!) Would come back again!

A friend recommending this place and I’m glad we came here. Food was yummy. The service was super. Drinks were great. I was a bit dubious as I had a bad tummy from a previous restaurant experience (not Indian Room!). But I had nothing to worry about. Would highly recommend.

We thought the food was delicious fine dining. We attended at 5pm and therefore the noise level was low, the service was quick, and to honest we like it that way. Highly recommend a visit.

I had booked and had confirmed a table for two and yet when we arrived bang on time the restaurant was absolutely full. There was no table for us. After a 15 minute wait, a young couple kindly agreed to move from their table right next to the entrance where we were then seated. This was clearly the worst table in the restaurant. The staff apologised but this was not backed up by any discount and / or a complimentary drink. It is unclear why this curry house is so popular in Balham. You would be better of going to one on the way to Tooting Broadway

I’ve been there a few times: the food is really ok. But each time I get the sense they can’t wait to see the back of me. And today someone tried to take the starter away while I was still eating it. Not going back in a hurry

The Indian Room in Balham is quite simply the friendliest service and the nicest Asian food I have ever tasted. From the perfectly cooked Pompadoms at the start to the garnish on the Pistacchio Kulfi - no detail was spared. You pay for what you get when eating out and my elderly parents left there asking me when could we go again - and we will. Well done team Indian Room.

Excellent and delicious food and quick and friendly service. One of our party of 5 is a visitor from the USA who loves Indian food, which is in short supply in his home city of Portland, Oregon. He was very impressed. The restaurant also offered an after dinner liqueur on the house, which we gladly accepted. A really great dinner all round.

Been coming from Scotland to this restaurant for over 10 years, every time we visit our daughter and her family in Balham. The food is wonderful as is the service.

Really kind and friendly people running a cozy family business. We ordered a vegetarian thali, a non-vegetarian thali and a vegetarian dal. All tasted good, especially the chicken tikka masala!

Amazing food with impeccable service. Have visited twice in a week and will be coming back again. Food may take a bit of time to come as it's fresh, so it's well worth the wait, lamb bhuna especially.

I always takeaway from this restaurant because the food is tasty and has excellent vegetarian options. I decided to bring my vegetarian cousin with me to dine in for a change and she loved the food and will also be taking away from you in the future. Thank you for great spicy food. Lamp chop sharing starter was great. Everything else very average to poor. Madras chicken had a bit of spice but absolutely no seasoning. Very very bland. Lamb Rogan Josh a bit better but not worth really shouting about. Popadoms had bland and boring chutneys. No lime pickle, no spicy option. Atmosphere and service were nice, but this place needs a massive kick of flavour. Salt is your friend.

The staff have a really great customer service and there look after you absolutely wonderful clear clean beautiful environment sit in and when we come a bit early there said can you wait 5 mins and the amazing staff service serves our drinks and put us in the out side table while we wait for them to clean just a wonderful environment definitely recommend this place 100% And the food is just so gorgeous ☺️

We were a party of 5 for lunch, the Indian room is a regular of ours and yet again did not disappoint. Service is polite & prompt food is of high quality with good portion size. My only comment is like line pick with popadoms.

This may be my new favourite Indian restaurant in London. So many things done really well, the standout was the clarity of the spices in their dishes. It was off the charts great. A must visit.

Well I have to say, after visiting nearly all Indian restaurants in and around London, the Indian Room is by far the best.

The Nawabi mixed platter is great, well worth the money. The presentation is amazing with no sacrifice to the portion size or the flavour. Great service as well, very accommodating and attentive to our table.
