The food was just okay. The butter chicken, which had a hint of spice, was a little underwhelming and tasted similar to jarred curry sauce. The chicken meat was also overcooked and tough. We preferred the saag lamb, although I’ve had better spinach-based curries. The naan was a little sad, being flat and dry. Overall, an average meal experience.

Wonderful service and fantastic food.

I know it doesn't seem real but it's exactly as I feel. Five stars on everything plus the management are the most helpful and nicest restaurateurs that I've come across. And at 74 I've come across a lot

Possibly the best Indian food we have ever had, fresh ingredients and wonderful flavours bursting in your mouth.

This restaurant has my highest recommendation. Fabulous, tasty food, cooked with care. Incredible, friendly service. They are flexible with the menu, I asked if it was possible to have garlic rice and it was no problem at all and DELICIOUS! So many vegan options too.

Good Indian taste food and they also make it according your preference.

This is one of my favourite restaurants! Very accommodating for allergens. A place where myself (vegan) my partner (nut allergy) and best friend (gluten free) feel catered to. They are very knowledgable and the vegan options are clearly labelled. Thank you very much!

Good customer service and nice restaurant, but the food was not that great. My pilau rice had lots of pepper corns, which did not enjoy and hardly any meet on the dish, also my partners meal had more bornes than anything else, and not just little bornes which is to be expected, but big bornes that is what anyone would use to make the a soup to give flavour, following day had a bad stomach. Also tandoori chicken wings, were not fresh, I could taste they were old and been reheated.

The best Indian restaurant in the area. It's a pity I live 30 minutes away. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but believe me, you won't be disappointed!

Loads of differing options including vegetarian options which are all tasty. Portion sizes are good and represetnative of the price too. Good and fast service.

Very delicious, everything is home cooked, more delicate and imaginative than a standard Indian restaurant. This one has to be tried; it's the best one we've found yet!

Unfortunately my last few experiences have been quite disappointing. Tandoori chicken tasted exactly like Nando's peri-peri rub that is sold in the market so was definitely not Indian. Dal makhani/kaali daal tasted very close to pre-cooked packaged dal makhani sold by Indian brands in Indian grocery stores. Those packaged ones taste quite bad, very artificial and full of preservatives, so did this daal from the restaurant. Both my & my partner agreed on this feedback and just couldn't eat the food. Perhaps the restaurant doesn't have any chef! Not sure if I'd order again. I hope they can get back to their previous tastes which were really good.

Ordered takeaway, the butter chicken and chicken tikka (which weren’t listed as spicy at all on the menu) were so hot we couldn’t eat them, the rest of the food was average.

The worst meal (indian food) I ever had in my life ,an indian resturant not only pricy the food is disgusting !the food is reheated and the chicken pieces small like coming out of a can of dog food. Avoid its vomit food, Chicken Tikka masalla and veg rice ohhh salty full of chillies and bitter cumin taste I complained to waiter paid and left ...revolting food it does not taste like Chicken Masala to me, Me and my partner went home with a big vomit,Avoid at all cost ,one waiter and 2 owners walking about in an empty resturant( not surprise only us here I wonder why? ) and its a Friday evening. dont go near it not even a take away.dead resturant no atmophere no music bunch of amateurs. and worst is no apology !

My friend and his wife went to this restaurant recently for a celebration together and he was sick. This is not good at all so I will not be going here.

Went to celebrate, but was so dissapointed! Ruined my evening. Terrible food! Not worth the money. I would give zero stars if I could. Just avoid!

Daal was not good at all, rest of the food we ordered were average too which I am disappointed of. Only thing I liked there was their service.

Had a couple of hours to kill in the local area and really fancied a proper Indian meal. 'Accidently' found this place not realising I had last been here 4 years ago and had a not particularly good experience. What a difference this time. We were greeted at the door by a very friendly member of staff. They made space for us even though busy All my favourite dishes were on the menu, including Mogo and chilli panier. The difference was like night and day The food was really good. There was so much lamb in the biryani that we could not finish it. Staff was just the right amount of attentive during the evening. So glad we stumbled back here and look forward to coming again.

Great locally run Indian restaurant. The food was really tasty and they had a rich range of options to suit vegetarian and non vegetarian alike. We had two very young children too and it was easy to look after them due to the space and provision of high chairs. Would recommend all of the paneer dishes and the chilli Mogo. The naan was also lovely, fluffy and hot without being too doughy. Highly recommend the fresh passion fruit juice. Parking is best on the street behind.

This place is hands down the only place you should have Indian food! From the absolutely fantastic staff who were super helpful all throughout the night to the lovely and kind owner who greeted us when we walked in, it was nothing short of an exemplar experience The food...out of this world! For vegans, I would highly recommend! They have a tofu dish which tastes almost exactly like paneer! Hats off to chef, he's truly mastered the whole recipe and each dish was nothing short of mouth-watering. Don't think twice about going, if you go, you won't regret it! 🤩

Just received a Take Away and can honestly say it was possibly the best Indian we've ever Tasted. Lots of meat and vegetables in the recipes and very very Tasty . Highly recommended.

Went to Indian Orchid for the first time yesterday and must say the good was excellent. Especially for vegetarians. Couldn’t fault it on quality of food and taste. I think they were short staffed. But nonetheless excellent all round. Will definitely visit again soon.

Slightly 'Different' Indian food - East African influences on Indian cuisine (from the Indians who had origonally settled in that part of the world). Nice. Not bad at all.

I appreciate the friendly customer service. But nice people were the only good thing in this venue. The food was simply terrible and very low quality. It was made purely of some tinned or frozen mix of peas and corn and carrot cubes, extremely greasy and simply bad. Nothing fresh, no good flavours and good art of cooking. The restaurant was very cold and bleak.

We are regular customers at Indian Orchid and the food is always incredible, packed full of flavour. Our favourites are the jalfrezis and the lamb and chicken biryanis. I would highly recommend this place!

Organised a party there a few months ago. Got great advice in recommendations and quantities. Food was good. Been there a few times and food has always been excellent. They cater for Jain and Vegan diets also and have now added Vegan naans to their menu. If you have any special requests and let them know beforehand they are more than willing to accommodate you. I also find their food portions are quite large. Highly recommended.

Very dissapointing. Both mains Seekh kebab and chilli chicken were extremely salty. Couldn't eat them.

Poor takeaway. May have gone downhill.. Perhaps due to Covid. We ordered a takeway, Food was ready surprisingly quickly. Should have been suspicious. Onion bhajis were dark brown/black almost all the way through, not crispy, and dry. Not fresh. Must have been reheated, maybe more than once. Lachha Paratha was leathery, probably reheated too. Other food flavours were not special at all. We won't go back

While we visited family in London we thought we get a takeaway so we thought we try Indian Orchid. The menu had loads of dishes and we bought food costing us £125.00 after asking for discount that we got of £15.00 was happy until we ate everyone that had it had stomach upsets chicken seemed off fish was off Never again what a waste of money asked for naans and dont no what they sent sogi chapatis. All microwaved food tottaly disgusting. Pani puri tasted disgusting. Like I said never again and please avoid waste of money

Indian orchard its it's a good restaurant with good food and fair prices. The atmosphere is nice and set up well for social distancing. I was surprised to see that they brew their own beer, which went nicely with the food. We ordered the crispy bhindi (okra), mixed grill and the lamb Biryani... they were all well spiced and tasty. The biryani is definitely one to try.. meat was succulent and flavours were balanced. Overall, the service was on point and there really take care of you when you are there.

Very tasty food. I went for starters only and there is a good selection of veg and non-veg dishes.

Thought we would take the opportunity to eat out to help out. Definitely a good call. Nice glass of Tusker and garlic Mogo really hit the spot. Chilli paneer was also nice and spicy. Total bill for the meal came to 60£ for two adults and a picky teen, so I'd say a little pricey but with the tax payer paying half the bill I would call it a bargain !

So a year ago i went to london for a conference and also to meet a friend online and we did meet which is amazing but on the Sunday, she wanted to have a meal with me and she decided to go here. And we did and well it was one of the best £70 for 2 people i had ever spent, the food was nice and it was amazing just me and her in the restaurant with some of the nicest staff anyone could ask for. It also taught me about paneer cheese that my local indian cuisine over 300 miles away did not offer and same with Prawn Puri And i purchased some deliveries for her house which is not far via just eat and she loved it. I will be back here again with her when Covid19 has eased life to normaliseish and we both get time to each other again,

Went there for a family dinner. Had awesome food. Panner was soft well grilled. Friends ate lamb- and said was very good...... Service was very quick and kind..... Drinks were very nice as well .... Not very expensive. Overall very nice experience of authentic Indian food. Will surely visit again....

We didn't book and were so disappointed that we couldn't get a table. It was packed with what seemed like hundreds of happy Indian diners, mostly family groups all tucking into what looked and smelled like fantastic authentic Indian cuisine. It's a little bit more costly than most of the Indian restaurants around here but it's not just a "one-pot" method curry place. Very nice staff, I look forward to actually eating here as it's got a great rep.

Went there as my usual Indian restaurant was closed for a private party. The food was excellent. Very clean tasting. The service was perfect. Genuinely impressed and will definitely return. Cleanliness is a major factor and this restaurant succeeded. Well done.

First time coming here and would definitely recommend this place. The service was brilliant didn't feel rushed at all (which can happen sometimes) visited on a Sunday around 3ish and was quiet. Moving into the food we ordered the following: Starters - Crispy bhujia 🥔 Main - Chilli Paneer x2 🧀 Vegetable Hakka Noodles x1 🍜 Chips x1 🍟 The crispy bhujia was really nice and actually crispy (sometimes is soft) every bite was crispy 😍. The chilli paneer & noodels were really nice and full of flavour💯, the portion size was very good for everything we had. All together with 4 soft drinks our bill came to £38.4💷 Would definitely recommend coming here and will be returning to try some meat options!

Really good starters, main courses were ok but not worth going back for. The craft beer tasted strange but was promptly changed on request for a bottled drink instead. Excellent service but restaurant felt a bit clinical and was lacking atmosphere. Maybe this was partly due to being almost empty when I visited.

If you want good quality food cooked to perfection, this is your place! We have been visiting Mr Sanjay for years never fails to impress, service with a warm smile, all perfectly executed! Must be one of the best Indian restaurants in London! Thank you all.

There was a cricket match playing at the time and the most of the customers present were cricket customers who came to enjoy their time and were stopped from enjoying by her rude and racists comments. The atmosphere was amazing and I would definitely recommend this restaurant as I believe that no one should be stoppped form enjoying themselves at a restaurant. And to Susana I hope you read this and realise that you are being really rude and not taking into consideration that they are kids and are enjoying themselves and you have no right to point out their behaviour and putting out false reviews about the restaurant on google and do yourself a favour and don’t write reviews for any restaurant as you are now considered a liar.
