Excellent service all very helpful and great food great quality food and drinks were fresh the chicken was delicious 😋

Went here for the first time with a friend for supper. I ordered the Paneer Dansack which was labelled with one chilli and my friend ordered chicken tikka masala. Now in the rest of the World and certainly in supermarkets and other Indian restaurants I’ve ever seen, they show the heat level of a dish by 🌶️ = mild 🌶️🌶️= medium and 🌶️🌶️🌶️ = hot, but not here as the Dansack was one chilli and yet it was so spicy I just couldn’t eat it, horribly hot. When I queried it they told me that their mild curry has no chilli symbol! Even so there was no way this was medium, as it was just too hot. Now to be fair they did offer to change it for me, but I just didn’t fancy to try anything else. My friends dish had the opposite problem, a very very sweet sauce. I think they need to bring their chilli symbol system in line with the norm, overall it was not for me I’m afraid.

I've been vegetarian since birth, come from a family with vegetarian Hindu background and have been vegan for over 15 years. We ordered a takeaway today and as always put in the notes to make sure everything was vegan. When I bit into my samosa, it tastes different than usual and smelled horrible to me...I then saw it contained meat!! I feel so disgusted and violated. Couldn't eat the rest of my dinner.

The Ocean Coxley has been our go-to Indian Restaurant for many years. The food has always been consistently very good. Oh dear! The takeaway for two we had recently was very poor. The onions were not cooked, the curries had no heat, the cauliflower pieces were inedible. Needless to say, we were surprised and disappointed. What has changed?

Top Notch in Coxley! We only have the one restaurant and it's Bang on the money! Fantastic service has a Holywood/ Bollywood Vibe to the decor and the food menu. We normally have a Takeaway as we have a dog but we were invited to say goodbye to a neighbour and we celebrated in style. So much food we sadly never got to a dessert. Better luck next time, yes there will be a next time!

Always excellent food. As I own a CIC business just down the road (Fenny Castle) this place is an absolute godsend when I’m fancying something nice…..and it’s never disappointed. Tonight’s dish is something called Bollywood? …And it’s great. Nice friendly staff as well 🙂

I have been several times to Indian ocean and finally got round to a review.. this is one of the best restaurants I have eaten at. The staff are pleasant and helpful, the environment is amazing and as for the food.. it is spectacular. Fyi if you like hot try the gherkas revenge. Introduced a friend today and equally impressed.

Just an average Indian restaurant, we have eaten hundreds of Indian meals over the world over the past 40 years, so feel that we have some experience of what makes a good Indian meal, and the Indian Ocean is definitely average, there weren’t any particular stand out chefs specials on the menu, I chose the chicken chilli masala, a dish that should be spiced with the addition of finger chillies, I literally had only 1, however there was the overpowering taste of chilli powder, which is just lazy, take the base gravy and throw in a finger chilli and a load of chilli powder, does not make a nice dish. The staff were pleasant enough. It’s worth driving the few extra miles as there are a couple of Indian restaurants in Wells, which are far nicer.

Stopped off to purchase a takeaway. Curry was very good but didn't receive the 10% discount on the takeaway and had two draught beers whilst waiting which were ordered from their pumps, but were served under the counter from cans. Glasses were not filled so did not receive legal measures of 1 pint. Would go again for the food, but would not buy drinks which were expensive and would challenge bill next time. No itemised bill was supplied to be able to see the individual charges.

Food was excellent and very flavoursome malibu exotic tikka, my only issue which lost a star was the food was not very warm bordering on cold, would come again

1st Time trying this place out. Situated between Wells & Glastonbury in a place called Coxley. A very spacious place well decorated and a clean environment. Service from start to finish was polite friendly and accommodating. Food - Starters we had 4 popudums which came out with 4 dips. The extra one was a spicy mango chutney. Very nice. Mint yogurt decent and the onion salads and mango was also good quality. Mains & Sides - Onion Bhajis (My Favourite Choice at any Indian) these were as a 3 served in a small cooking pot. Nice touch. They was dence compact. Good size and fantastic taste. Good quality Bhajis I would say. Madras - Spice level 4/5 I definitely got a sweat on with this dish but nothing to serious to make it unbearable. It was a pleasant and enjoyable meal and couldn't fault it. Again another good meal. Nann Bread - absolutely spot on. Soft, Crispy Edges, Light & Airey to hold. Full of flavour. Rice's were very good standard too. All in all Service 5/5 Food 5/5 Price - Fair Prices for all dishes and well worth the price. I recommend this place to anyone passing by take away or delivery. Will definitely be coming back. We love coming here and our daughters love it too. Delicious food and great service. Such a great relaxed atmosphere. The banquet night is well is amazing value as well.

Absolutely fantastic! The staff were brilliant too. Perfect price, quantity, and quality of food. Me, my partner and her mother went to the Indian Ocean for my partners birthday, and well, what can I say but PROPER JOB! The staff were very helpful, allowing me to bring in ballons during the day ready for our evening meal, the welcome was very warm and friendly. The food was fantastic, we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Can't wait to go again, my birthday is in February and we've already decided to go back to Indian Ocean then if not before. Would highly recommend this establishment.

Absolutely amazing service, the guys are all polite and friendly. The food is perfect every time we go. We recommend the Onion Bahjis 👌 and Garlic Naan bread, we always have them to share. Our favourite Indian go to for takeaway or dining in.

Good value, good quality Indian restaurant. Friendly staff, and excellent service! Such a variety of options - including plenty of vegetarian.

Chicken tikka masala was very tasty. Service was quick and the staff were very friendly, considering the standard the restaurant it should have been much busier for a Saturday night. Even had a complimentary baileys with the bill. Will be returning

Another delicious meal, always very well cooked and tasty. Generous portions mean you don’t go home hungry! All the traditional favourites and some new dishes to give your tastebuds a treat. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and I thoroughly enjoy my visits here and so do my family.

Fantastic food, great flavours and aromas ,reminiscent of my travels in the Indian sun continent. Super service and decor reminiscent of the fabulous ‘String of Pearls’ in Mumbai. 🙏
