The only place suitable for both family dinners and business lunches with business partners.

Once again a truly delicious meal this evening. I have found that Wednesday is the best night in this restaurant.

We had a lovely meal here with 8 friends. The food was lovely, hot and very tasty. The waiters were all very attentive and couldn’t do enough to make sure we had a good time. Once we asked for the bill which was very reasonable compared to the similar costs at other local indian restaurants we were offered a complimentary drink. Thanks for making our evening a memorable experience.

Absolutely disgusting, rubbery old chicken. Lamb maybe?. Meat past it's sell by date and mushy rice. A packet of Uncle Ben's would have been more pleasant. Soggy poppadoms. Low quality, avoid at all costs.

Really awful. The chicken was rubbery and the curry lacked flavour. The poppadoms were off as well. Really disappointing and wouldn’t recommend.

Very nice Indian Restaurant. Staff are excellent & the service was fantastic, portion size was good (actually 1 portion was enough for 2 people) & not very expensive. Well worth a 2nd visit next time we are in the area.

Very good, food was excellent, atmosphere excellent, will certainly go again. However, it's not really Indian. It's Asian. Indians are vegetarians so this, like so many other so called Indian restaurants in the UK, is not strictly an Indian restaurant. Nothing at all wrong though.

Visited yesterday with a group of 8 - including 3 very picky kids. Had a wonderful time! The food was truly one of the best Indian I’ve ever had, service was good and the price was right. We’ll certainly be visiting again.

Really good selection and freshly cooked tasty food. It’s my go-to for Indian takeaway. My favourite dish is the lamb dhansak. Plus the staff have always been friendly and pleasant.

We had a lovely evening at Indian Ocean using Eat out to help out scheme. Staff are very accommodating and the food was top notch. I have often glanced at the restaurant while passing on Manor Road but we finally had the opportunity. Its a small but comfortable nook with not much of waiting crowd unlike many other restaurants with mile long queues!! Do try chilli machli!!

Great Indian! Been here a couple of times now, the food is so tasty and fresh, not oily at all. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Feel lucky to have this as my local indian restaurant. Will be back again and again

We ordered a takeaway from this lovely restaurant for my birthday meal, every last morsel of it was outstanding, it made my birthday so special don’t go anywhere else , you won’t be disappointed!

Small friendly restaurant with good food.

This restaurant was always my 'tour de force', following yesterday, I am tempted to rethink. The staff still seem nice, the food is OK, but they seem to have gone down the road of many others in the shrinking of portion sizes. Price wise they are now quite competitive, but I have to ask myself, it's one thing going 'to 'la balle', but do I want to come home hungry?Of course the restaurant and readers may say 'well just order more', that being the case, my feet would simply take me in another direction. The availability is there.It is a very thin line between profit margins and customer satisfaction. I fear this hungry bird may well have come home to roost!

This restaurant is brilliant throughout- food amazing, staff amazing and always a full, buzzy atmosphere. The owner and staff are so friendly they asked our table of 10 all of our names just once and remembered them throughout the meal- thats what you call customer service!

Pretty standard Indian fare. Could have done without the local towie "star" blurbing at the adjoining table, like a small, overexcited chihuahua on helium. Staff are attentative and pleasant. Cost is average. I've had better in better surroundings for less.

What a great Indian Resturant. The service was excellent as soon as we entered the restaurant we was made welcomed and shown to our seats. The food is great with lovely size portions. The only issue is not the biggest restaurants but in that case it so Popular you go the bigger one in Theydon Bios!!! Always a regular for takeaways and sit downs. Love this place.

nice indian food. im not a huge fan of indian food but ii enjoyed the food from here. my friends were keen to try this place and i only went because they forced me too ad i actually enjoyed it all. they had a huge variety to choose from and everything we ordered was tasty

Our visit to Indian Ocean will be very remembered. We arrived on a Saturday evening with my family. Food was superb and exqusitive. All though the restaurant was very busy on a Saturday night with many take aways coming in and customers collecting there orders the staff were able to cope well and were very well organised. The menus were very upto date with many wines to choose from. Food was very tasty. And the manager was very professional and welcoming and we were very well looked after. We are very happy to have found a local restaurant. Chigwell is very lucky to have a curry house like this.

Went few weeks ago. Food came out and was given out to wrong people. Not once but three times. Did give my husband another meal as I had started eating his. But too many mistakes. The keema nan wasn’t as good as others I’d tasted. Was a Saturday night and very busy. But was unlucky with our choice. The table next to us was for 4 but 5 came in so they squeezed another chair in round the side so stopping out access to go to toilet. Very Unprofessional and wouldn’t return.

Food is amazing/ atmosphere is perfect we have used this restaurant since they have opened, food and service is still perfect. About time u expand and buy next door.

I went to this restaurant for a change last week. The menu is very extensive, with a lot of different options. The prices are a bit more expensive than other surrounded Indian restaurants but the quality is good.There were two waiters, one of them was friendly, the other one seemed upset, very serious and not many words.We had some papadoms, with some chicken dishes, rice and bread. Everything was very good.I will recommend it. If you go at the weekend, book in advance, as there are not many tables.

Thought id give this indian a go because my normal indian was closed ..food was average cant find the meat in sauce bring a fishing rod 4/10food.. staff and service 10/10

Always wanted to try this restaurant as it is local to me and cannot find a decent Indian restaurant. But I am so pleased we eventually tried the food here. Collected a takeaway. The restaurant does look lovely inside. The food is exceptional. We had poppadums, chicken tikka masala, chicken madras, parathas, tarka dahl and aloo gobi and plain rice. Very generous amounts and the chicken is all breast. The food tasted amazing we will definitely return. Highly recommend this restaurant.

The restaurant wasn’t busy on Monday night and the service we received was spot on - professional, very friendly and extremely efficient. Food was really good - fresh and hot. A very nice meal for our special occasion, rounded off by a on the House at the end.

Very good Indian restaurant cooking to the same high standard as the Theydon Bois branch. A little small inside but fine for a cosy meal or takeaway.

We were taken here by friends who live nearby and rave about the Ocean. We were not disappointed as the food was varied and delicious and the service smart but very friendly. Definitely going back for more!

Normally have a good night here, however after booking a week in advance we turned upto be told there was confusion on bookings and ultimately had to leave on what was a special occasion, won't book again after this bad experience

My beautiful partner which he is and I went for a romantic dinner last Friday 22nd December 17 , and OMG! the food was absolutely superb..First class, I cannot fault it. The service was excellent and the setting in my opinion very cozy. They even offered drinks on the house as it was our first visit but we declined because we were quite full. To say the least ,the price is unbelievably cheap. Good food lovely atmosphere, we will definitely be going back in the new year. In a nutshell I highly recommend the Indian Ocean with flying colours..

This was a virtual takeover of the restaurant with only one other couple. It’s a small and comfortable venue. All orders were taken individually and the food served hot and fresh a variable menu and recommended

This is an excellent restaurant. Really welcoming, lovely staff. They make a point of remembering what drinks you ordered (long time since last visit, so impressive!) The food tastes really, really good. Very fresh and delicious. Can't recommend highly enough.

Nice service friendly staff and a nice Resteraunt but the food was a bit bland really reasonably priced but there are a lot better Indian Resteraunt's in the area so more of a three and a half out of five wouldn't rush back so average at best

worst food ever... its a shame that this guys a using Indian food as a selling point where as there is nothing Indian about the food... Courtesy is miles away... would not recommend to anyone wanting to enjoy good food after a hard days work...
