Indian Moments, Harlow in Harlow

The staff are lovely, the place is clean. The onion bhaji were fantastic. But what let the whole thing down was the tandoori mix grill, it’s supposed to be cooked in a tandoor oven and have nice colour and flavour, but it’s was like boiled meat, no flavour or colour, lack of seasoning. The tikka madras was so spicy but no flavour, again lack of seasoning. The ingredients were good quality. Wouldn’t get again. Wasn’t worth the money.

If anyone was is looking for an Indian takeaway or sit in meal then I promise you this is the place to go, we moved here 2 years ago and I swear you I will never eat at another Indian restaurant again, I will also never order a takeaway from anywhere apart from here! The food is absolutely unbelievable and the staff are amazing, attentive, helpful and friendly, I cannot fault this place in anyway shape or form, everything about Indian moments is absolute perfection, if you are looking for either and nice meal for 2, a family meal or a party then do not look further than here, and if you decide to chose another Indian after reading this review then I’m sorry but you are stupid. I will forever sing Indian Moments praises because I absolutely love this place, I have honestly tried every single Indian restaurant in Harlow and hand on heart there isn’t a better Indian here, even in Essex, this is 10000% the best. Everything about it from walking in the door, atmosphere, food, drink, tables, chairs, EVERYTHING is bang on, hand on heart this is absolutely perfect for any occasion!!!! It has actually got to a point where me and my partner don’t just crave or fancy an ‘Indian’ we actually crave and fancy INDIAN MOMENTS, seriously I could talk able this place all night!!!!! Thank you for such amazing food and service guys, me and my family love it and will continue to return, even if we live an hour away, we will not ever go anywhere else! See you soon! 💪🏼🙏🏼

Food and service was exceptional and coming again tonight for another great meal,waiters were always checking making sure your drinks and food was always topped up,we live 45 mins away and it’s worth the extra few miles !!

I didn’t even want to give this place 1 star! Terrible service waited over a hour! And when the food did come the poppadoms was style In my whole curry I had two slices little bit off chicken! The buttered chicken was half Oil !! And I didn’t even get half off my order When I called up there didn’t have nothing to say about it and didn’t want to do anything Wouldn’t ever go back

First time eating here, the service was second to none and the Lamb Dansak was stunning!

Ordered chicken Koral and chicken Kuku Coco Paka and mixed Raitha. In both dishes the chicken was tender and plenty of vegetables. The coconut in the Paka was lovey and tender and an unusual but nice texture. Plenty of tasty Raitha, however the Koral had very little spice taste at all and was watery. A bit of a disappointment to be honest.

We traveled down from Birmingham to eat here with the family and didn't know what to expect. Gladly, it was fantastic! All meals served were tasty, authentic and presented wonderfully. I've got to big up the onion bhaji... wow wow what a beautiful beast! I've never had bhaji so good. I'm always skeptical as a vegetarian, how my curry dishes will turn out, but this was pleasantly rich and Flavourful Bhuna. The saag is fantastic alongside Bombay potatoes. The family all enjoyed their meals and sides very much. I'm happy to know I can revisit any time I'm back down here and get good asian food.

Normally eat at the restaurant, who’s staff are always attentive and polite and will take orders off the menu to suit your requirements without prior knowledge. We often have a meal delivered, when we aren’t able to enjoy the dine in experience and I must say it has always turned up on time and fresh ready to enjoy. A very underrated restaurant that you should take the opportunity to visit or indeed get a delivery. Excellent good quality food.

Service was outstanding with just the right amount of attention given. Not rushed or too slow. Went on a Saturday evening was busy but did not feel crowded and could chat without lots of white noise. Food fabulous! Fresh and very tasty absolutely nothing not to love Would recommend this restaurant if you like to share a meal in a quiet and relaxed atmosphere

We ordered a collection for a set time so the food would be hot. The food was cold when collected. So cold we binned most of it. Often visit the restaurant and have never had such bad food before.

Food was great. Went on a Thursday night . Large restaurant very busy before Christmas. Service very good.

Best indian in Harlow! Worth the money

Very disappointing experience. Ordered via just eat. The updates told me driver was at the restaurant for over 45 minutes. I phoned the restaurant and they weren’t very helpful. I was just told “next time order direct through us!”. Driver turned up and just swung the bag of food at me as I opened the door. No idea how long it had been cooked and sat waiting for as it was cold and the sauce in the curry had developed a skin over the top.

Really not a pleasant experience. Head of house had a slight arrogance but the food was very poor. Mixed grill was completely dry and burnt and hard to tell what was prawn,lamb or chicken. So over cooked in fact that the prawns all clumped into one dry strip. My friends curry was cold and my husband Pathia not nice at all very little depth of flavour. Not a nice atmosphere in the near empty restaurant. If we hadn’t been with friends I would have complained and now wished I had as it was shocking. The Bombay potatoes looked like frozen roast potatoes fried off with a bit of spice. Just embarrassing.

Excellent restaurant with a very a comprehensive menu. Food very high standard however not inexpensive nor are the drinks including water. Found the restaurant to have a lot of echo noise due to the open design of the building. Ample free parking alongside the restaurant. Delivery offered as an option.

Worse Indian I have had tasteless, watery

Firstly we went to this restaurant based on past very good experience, the food was nothing like the standard it has been in the past. When asked by a partner owner how was the food, I suggested “very average and not what it was” I was met with this response “well mate, that’s up to the chef, there’s nothing I can do, nothing has changed” to which I suggested it has, given our past experience. I was then met with “oh well! what do you want me to do about it” The food was dry and burnt, the king prawns are chopped in to small pieces, of which there were a tiny handle in there. The veg curry was mushy like baby food. Saag aloo like dust, forget ordering that. Given the condition of the meat, it was dry and may have been re cooked. We ate what we could and left a lot of food! When we asked for the bill it was extraordinarily high for this level of food. I suggested this was not acceptable. I was told well thats how much it is. Zero attempt to apologise, understand our opinion or make any offer to improve our opinion. At this point both partners are at the table telling us that we are wrong and everyone else that night was happy (2 other people in a big restaurant at 9pm) the partners then went on to include the other couple in the conversation for their opinion! I mean this really is the worst experience we’ve ever had in any restaurant! We eat out 3 times a week and have had no complaints in a very long time, eating all over the UK. Eventually the other couple suggested a reduction would be a fair resolution to the owner partners. Who were incapable of finding this solution on their own accord. Seriously a very disappointing and terrible experience to go through.. ruined our night out and would suggest it be AVOIDED AT ALL COSTS!

Awful. Really disappointed. I ordered from here previously in person and it tasted really fresh and healthy. But I ordered tonight before 7.00pm on a Saturday night on Just Eat, and at 8.30pm I still didn’t have my order. When I rang to chase my order they blamed the lack of drivers, they blamed Just Eat and then they blamed me. They told me I should have ordered direct from them and cut out Just Eat. 😳 Whilst that may be true, I didn’t appreciate the lack of apology and being made to feel like I did something wrong. I’m local and would order regularly but don’t like being blamed by a restaurant who should be doing much better. So I will never be ordering from here again. 😤

First & last time ordering (unfortunately). No spice or flavour, the curry was more watery like a casserole. The chicken was bland. £9 for two prawns as a starter. It's all gone in the bin.

Have lived in Harlow for years but this was our first visit and we were not disappointed. Different dishes from the norm. Staff really friendly. Will be visiting again

Ordered online and was disappointed, chicken (madras) was very tough and not as spicy as I would have liked, naan bread was not bad. Couldn't find poppadoms on the menu online after using the search bar, not sure if they do them? Won't be ordering again sadly after high hopes

Ordered for collection, got home, had poppadoms missing, and the wrong naan. Had to go back to the shop to have this rectified, got home, almost half the amount of poppadoms we ordered. Got sick of going backwards and forwards so will be going elsewhere from now.

Food was OK, but didn't see what made it win awards a couple of years back. A nice menu with some good, not often seen dishes. Service not great as waiter first assumed I was sharing the wine ordered (didn't ask) and then when I managed to order a pint of Kingfisher on draught, brought me a bottle of Cobra. Otherwise, just above average but decent none the less.

The problem we had last night Saturday was every table was full that’s great shows a good business but because of this the food came only warm maybe because it was so busy. Also the noise was so loud from so many people you could not here yourself talk . Next time it will be a takeaway as the food is very good

We came for a birthday meal on Saturday 16th April, and the food was faultless. Staff were friendly and welcoming, food was delicious, pricing was reasonable. Premises were clean and tidy. We had starters, mains and drinks. Was just a really lovely evening all round. Would definitely be back again more often.

One of my two favourite Indian restaurants in Harlow. Gimme that silla silla! Always tastes great and the brandy coffee is always top notch. Highly reccomended

No idea what these chefs are cooking with Indian Names Ordered Naan bread's, thick as bread as cheese Naan is accutaly Mozrella Naan's and Mozrella cheese is placed on top of Naan not stuffed in Naan's. We were not even able to open the Naan's. It was stick like a glue. Don't waste your money.

Well presented restaurant. Excellent starter for myself, my partner's not so but it was exchanged and then was also excellent, also not charged for. Main meal was not as good as starter but good. I think we would try here again. We can all have slightly off days.

Okay so everywhere is busy at 18:20 on a saturday night so I expected a long wait but I didn't expect the appalling service I rang they took my order and address - I asked if I could pay by card but could have paid cash and collected if delivery times were a problem - was told they were very busy and would phone me back to collect payment - couldn't give me a delivery time Waited 25 mins - and called them back, gave address and said I was waiting for a call and explained could collect the order, was told it would take an hour, was told they had 60 orders waiting and very busy Told them to cancel the order as order not processed Phoned another restaurant and collected in 30 mins Indian moments then phoned back within a couple of minutes and told me that the order was ready - I asked how it could be as I was told it would be an hour - very heated argument took place, disgraceful!!! Was told that they have 4 staff taking the orders etc - clearly they dont talk to each other. Very disappointing

Really good food, reasonably priced.

This restaurant was a very unexpected pleasant surprise to me. The restaurant staff were very welcoming, and the food was amazing. I can honestly say this is one of the best Indian meals I have had. I had the King Prawn Puri to start, which was very flavoursome and well cooked, with a Lamb Dansak, Mushroom Rice and Cheese Nan for main. Everything was cooked to perfection, the Dansak had a nice heat to it too, and there was more than enough food for each person in our party to feel very very full at the end of the meal. This is definitely one to try.

I ate here last night and I have to say that I was very impressed. There food was delicious, there was a lot of it and the team were superb. A great overall experience. I can’t recommend it highly enough. You won’t be disappointed.

Really disappointed. The chicken was dry and tough, the sauce was very watery and tasted more like a cheap pub curry, and the keema naan, whilst tasted delicious, was just very wet. Gutted as I used to eat here all the time and always loved it. Hoping it is an off night for them.

Hadn't been out for dinner for ages so really looked forward to this and didn't disappoint. My local Indian, tried many others and definitely best in town.

Lovely food and excellent service. But No Tack and Trace and no social distancing. A bloke was wandering around shouting without a face mask. If he had it then another 20 people in there got it from him. Won’t be back here until this Covid thing is over.

When ever we come to this fabulous restaurant they always make you feel special. The food is excellent and always to the highest quality and standards. I hate to leave but know I have to so I can come back again and enjoy the wonderful food again. These guys are the very best and it show when they won the best Indian in Essex awards

I’ve been to Indian moments on several occasions and it’s always been our first choice for fine dinning in Harlow. We all love the food their food is always really tasty plus side it’s was the eat out help out time so on in all it’s a great evening spent with lovely customer service with a great price! Indian moments will always be our first choice for an Indian meal out

Just called to ask if they had any tables free, didn't even get to finish my sentence before he said no ma'am we don't and hung up. I get they are busy but no need to be rude! have eaten here before the food is OK (hence 2 stars) but now won't be back

We visited on a Sunday evening a few weeks ago. Service was great, also we did not realise they were due to close early as we were all so caught up in conversation. We were not rushed out and they were happy for us to continue which was really kind of them. The food as always is pretty special in this restaurant yes it’s a little more expensive however this is quality and everything about it is good quality the restaurant, meat that they use, spices etc..... This restaurant for me is where you go for a nice meal out, get dressed up and not just a blow out curry after a few drinks.

Felt rushed rushed . To table ..poppadons food all in 10 mins . Our dishes also felt like chicken under done the naan bread was so doughy .. but clearly we were rushed so that the table could be re used . It was very loud and crowded I will not be dining here again

Very disappointed sadly. We have eaten at Indian moments on a number of occasions and it has always been an enjoyable experience. However last nights experience was very disappointing. It seemed like this is a money exercise to feed you and get you out to refill the table. The staff was rushed to a point where I had to ask them to slow down. They passed the dishes over other people at our table rather than serving from the right. The portions were small. I had a vindaloo 4 small pieces of lamb and a massive potato wedge in the middle.Nan breads were small possibly the size of my hand made to look larger by slicing it up.The only plus was the food albeit small was very tasty.Very disappointed and could never justify the £135 The meal cost even with the government discount already deducted of £60. Meaning the true cost of this meal was £195 what a ripoff

They friendly the food is fabulous the atmosphere is very homely and welcoming.

It was good to get out to the restaurant last night. The food was fantastic and I felt safe with the distance measures they've implemented.

We have eaten in, had a collection and a delivery and cannot fault the food or the service. The takeaway was as hot and fresh as eating in the restaurant.
