Belash Indian Restaurant in Harlow

The worst curry house in Harlow. They tell you 1 hour wait and you wait for two hours. This happened to me on three occasions. The food then turns up cold, or missing an item and they say ‘sorry we are really busy’. Just be honest and don’t tell people it’s an hours wait when it’s double that. We would rather order something nicer from somewhere else with manners to customers ....

2 hr wait for a takeaway very rude staff...won't be using anymore, if it gets busy the restaurant can't handle it

Visited last night for my sons 21st. Staff friendly and really helpful. Food was amazing, special thanks to Shah for all his help. Will defiantly be going back Well done all

vegetable masala it is bright red and I can taste nothing but sugar. Called up to complain and he tells me he's not going to exchange it or do anything about it and then hang up the phone on me. when I tried to call back they are picking the phone up and hanging up.What makes it worse is I waited over an hour and 40 minutes for something I can't even eat it is now 10:30 at night so looks like I'll be going with out. An absolute disgrace

Have not been here in over 10 years, but definitely will not wait that long next time. Food was hot and tasty, service was speedy, and the staff were so welcoming. Will be back very very soon 😊

Simply outstanding Indian food and friendly atmosphere. I experienced my first Indian meal here at the age of 11, I'm 49 now and still cannot fault the place. Thoroughly recommend.

Went into the Belash quite late after work on a Sunday night for a collection, I’d just like to say that they were preparing for full opening of the restaurant the following day from lockdown!All were hard at work yet my takeaway was absolutely delicious.It was so nice to see Shah, this family business is like walking into their family home they make you feel completely welcome and the food is always to a good quality and good price, this is why I will keep returning we have plenty of Indian restaurants in Harlow however the Belash has the best service and they have a special personal touch.Good luck to you all at the Belash for opening from lockdown I’m sure it will be a success and can’t wait to return.

Been dining at this restaurant for some time now and also have lots of takeaways, food is great and customer service is beyond what I get anywhere else.

This is by far the best indian restaurant I have ever been to. The staff are lovely, polite and very accommodating. The food is delicious and all at a great price to. I have been coming here for nearly 5 years to eat in and been having takeaways from here for over 6 years and I have never had a bad meal. Always fresh and hot.

Restaurant is clean and tidy, staff are all friendly and the food is the best in Harlow. It does take a little while for it to arrive BUT that proves its cooked to order!

Genuinely nice people and very good food. My last curry was as good as any I’ve had, nice original choice of curry’s as well as the normal bits. I will be back again no doubt.

Been coming to the Belash for years, it's the best Indian restaurant around would 100% recommend it. Shah, Sunny and Shafy give you excellent services, food it's amazing

We visited the Belash Indian restaurant on the 19th August. They had a full COVID-19 protocol in place. The staff were there usual very friendly and attentive selfs. Always have time to talk to you. The food was fantastic as we always find it.. would highly recommend the Chicken Dansak. We have already booked our next visit.

Opening night after the lockdown for them, all staff were well prepared with ppe, and tables all arranged for social distancing. Food was great, atmosphere was great. Would highly recommend this restaurant

Had a take way from this amazing restaurant last night we normally sit in Wich is always an amazing experience food is always to die for in there. and what can I say about my take away last night it was absolutely gorgeous very very nice and hot when it turned up on my delivery and Very quick on delivery aswell the staff could not be any more friendly towards you and very very helpfull if you Can’t decide on what to eat. keep up the amazing work guys that you are all doing especially shah and sunny can’t wait for my next meal either sit in or take away thanks again to everyone in the belash restaurant.xxxx

Can’t recommend this place highly enough - The food and the staff are second to none. It is the one restaurant that the whole family enjoy and feel extremely well looked after. Apart from the food, the highlight for me has been watching my daughters, with the help and recommendations of the staff, getting more and more adventurous with their choice of food over all the years we have been eating there as a family.

Me and my family have been going to the Belash for years now, and there is a reason for that and that is because the food is excellent. The service and presentation of food is at the highest quality. The staff really make you feel welcome and so friendly and really make the whole experience, they cannot be more helpful.When anyone ask me for a Indian in Harlow I always recommend the Belash without hesitation.

We only go to the Belash as we have tried other Indian restaurants in Harlow but the food here is exceptional 2nd to none. The service from Shah and his team is brilliant and nothing is a problem.

Well I have been coming to this restaurant since I was 14 I’m now 31 always has and always will be the best Indian restaurant! The flavours are beautiful and is always so fresh. I would never go anywhere else, the staff are the brilliant always making sure you have what you need and are the most friendliest people & they have become really good friends. Belash is my first choice when we go to eat, some of my friends used to use other places but once I introduced them to belash they now wouldn’t go anywhere else because it is the best! FACT!

I was recommended by a friend who use Belash so I thought I'd give them a try and I can honestly say I was not disappointed in any way the service was amazing friendly and welcoming and the quality of the food was the best I had ever experienced, I will continue to use Belash now as I don't think anywhere else will be able to impress me as much as they have.

So glad that our favourite restaurant is back open. We have truly missed our family meals out here. Highly recommend visiting Food is always amazing. Staff are so helpful and friendly . we felt reassured with covid precautions that are in place. A must for any Indian cuisine lovers. Can’t wait for our next meal .

Oh my goodness! So I ordered 4 meals from here for me and my fussy family.. AMAZING! Wow! There was kids options for my little girl who now loves a curry too! 2 curries for me and my mum which were so flavoursome and very filling. Also a dry tikka version for my brother who hates sauces. All delivered quickly and honestly tasted unreal. I will never order from anywhere else again. Thank you so much for the beautiful food, the easiness when ordering and the lovely driver who dropped our food off! If you haven’t ordered from here, do it!

First night open after lockdown and a delight to be back. We’ve had loads of take-aways from Belash during lockdown but, as great as they are, it’s not the same as the full on restaurant experience. What a genuine treat it is to return for the fabulous food and wonderful attentive service. Clear but unobtrusive COVID measures in place ensure a safe and comfortable dining experience.Can’t wait to return at the earliest opportunity!

Impeccable service as normal. The staff were, as always, most accommodating, kind and helpful - this place has such a great atmosphere and that is directly because of staff engagement with the customer. The food is to die for- I had the chicken pakora (wonderful) and then the Shafy Special, a wonderful spicy, succulent king prawn main and one of my favourites. A very easy, happy and convivial atmosphere, great food and lovely staff makes this (in my eyes) the best restaurant in Harlow, hands down.

I’ve been going to this restaurant for about 14 years and not once have I had a bad time there and made I thought really good friends. But this one time me and my family was eating there we waited just over 2 hours for our food. People were coming and going and didn’t understand why our food was taking so long. We said something about it didn’t make a fuss but now I’m telling everyone because they have decided because I spoke up about waiting 2 hours they don’t want to serve me or my family anymore. All the years I’ve been there never really complain just this once and we get treated like we have done something so wrong. Being blocked and everything very childish if you ask me. I thought they were very good friends but how wrong was I. So what ever you do if you complain be prepared to be told they won’t serve you again.

We have had many take out from this restaurant which we love especially as delivery is quick and always before or on the time stated. We when into the restaurant for a change, the staff were friendly even the owner cam and chatted with us after our meal which was nice. The food was excellent, not covered in ghee or oil like many others we have gone too. The rice was fluffy and light and the Nan bread was superb. I had a Chicken Naga probably one of the best i have had, my other half had chicken tikka main course which i tried and was lovely. I have to say there are plenty of Indian restaurants in Harlow but this one has to be top of your list to visit. Excellent and can highly recommend.

have been here a few times. the food is always exeptionaly nice. and the staff are very friendly and attentive. slightly more pricey than others but well worth it. you deffinatly get what you pay for

On Thursday took my 2 brothers and sister to your restaurant it’s my local restaurant but they hadn’t been there for many years. They were really impressed lovely food and brilliant service as always thank you 😀😀

Bit of a long review unfortunately. Right so it started like this.Ordered via just eat at 20:20 pm the delivery time was stated to deliver at 21:30 PM I thought bit of a wait for a Tuesday evening but hey ho.So 21:45 no delivery and to be honest had gone of the idea to a certain extent so called just eat to cancel and be refunded.Was advised that our food was imminent so agreed to accept at at 21:55 it arrived.Ok so all happy you would think...Basically missing items was the next problem so we decided to through the towel in and go to bed hungry.We called the resteraunt and just eat to advise them we had left our meals in the front porch and could be collected.A delivery driver arrived to collect it within about 15 mins disregarding our comments that we would be in bed and not able to answer the door.He rang he collected and advised us never to call the resteraunt again as we were "not welcome".How's is it my fault the food was late and missing items??.Never again in my opinion avoid.

Me and my partner came across Belash when we moved to the area last year. We have had multiple takeaways and also eaten in a number of times. It’s always excellent food and service. The owners are so attentive and always recognise you. Highly recommend

Love this restaurant. Food is plentiful, extremely tasty and top quality. Service is always attentive but not overbearing. Prices are very fair. Won’t be very long before I return.

This is my third visit to Belash and I have to say the food has always been wonderful. The portions are adequate, the prices are reasonable and the staff are exceptionally polite and attentive. I enjoy eating here & will would recommend.

Ordered via "just eat" Sunday evening.real treat of a meal to be honest.We didn't order any rice but the resteraunt called to ask if we wanted any as our dishes would normally be ordered with rice.Thought this was a nice touch.Very very nice vindaloo in fact it was all great.would definitely recommend.

The food arrived 30 minutes late. And when it did arrive they forgot my drink which then took them a further 30 minutes to bring back to me. The food was cold and the chicken was rock hard and chewy. The Bombay potatos lacked flavour and the whole things tasted like a microwave meal.

Me & Kristian a pedir desde aquí. Absolutamente increíble. Me convertido desde mi otro lugar india! Teníamos mantequilla pollo Korma y cordero, Rogan Josh. Incluso tiró en Bombay aloo poppadoms y extra! El mango chutney rojo es alucinante! Sin duda ordenar desde aquí. Gracias chicos!

We ordered a takeaway from here. Very frustrating that everything comes with rice as we didn't want it. 1 poppadom for 3 curries purchased, smallest onion bhajis I have ever seen. Overall tasteless and bland. Worst naan we have ever tasted- hard and chewy. Would not go back.

I have been here a few times now and love it..... I went to this Indian last night and Shah i believe maybe the chef, Came to my table remembered i had a takeaway some 4 or 5 weeks ago and asked how it was which I think is brilliant customer service, I ask for a Naga but not as spicy , I got exactly what i wanted My friend doesnt really like Indian food but even he is impressed as Shah and the team knew exactly what to do for him Spot on guys see you again soon....Matt

Stopped on our journey to Scotland and after 7 weeks touring abroad, we really wanted an Indian meal! We hit the jackpot in choosing this Belash! Very relaxed and atmosphere and the waiter, Sunny, couldn't have been better. It was quite late, so we only had poppadoms and a main course. We had Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Tikka Passanda. Both were very different from the run-of-the-mill recipes and I cannot stress enough just how delicious both dishes were. Although these are relatively mild dishes, they were so rich and full of flavour. I really wish we lived nearer, so we could try more of their dishes. Highly recommend you try it!

We was recommended this Indian Take away by our neighbours and so glad they did. It's the best takeaway. We always use them now for our Indians. The food is so yummy and not at all oily when you get the dishes. I would advise to allow an hour for delivery as most of the time it's an hour wait but well worth it.

I've only ever had takeaway from Belash. I can't fault the service and friendliness. Always offering snacks, whilst I wait, very courteous with good manners, have gifted me with a rice dish before. It's not the sort of place I would sit in (clientele a bit rough) but it's handy for a pick-up takeaway and food is nice - I always order a prawn Madras which is a bit hit and miss, but the mannerisms and attitude counts for a lot and this is why I go back.

I love this place. It's very family friendly, and it offers a nice wide range of meals from a mild korma to a blazing hot phall but whatever you are in the mood for they will cook it for you. Love this place.

Came this this evening for a charity meal/get together. Staff were very friendly and polite. Food did take a while to come but as a group we filled alot of the restaurant and we all ordered at once, so fair dos. then the restaurant was full! (Always a good sign! ) But when it did come.......OMG! it was worth the wait! My chicken pasanda was absolutely delicious! Best one ive eaten in years! The Peshwari nan was served hot and so nice i was gutted i couldnt finish it , but was so wonderfully full! The staff checked with us twice if the meal was ok and were quick with drinks. I also felt the prices for food and drink were reasonable. Will definitely return!

The sag paneer was horribly sweet, the garlic Naan had no garlic in it, the madras had no flavour of heart at all. For only for the bin Extremely disappointing take-away and a waste of my hard -earned money.

We waited for a hour and half for our food. Once they time got to the latest it was meant to arrive we called up to see where it was. Staff very friendly and told us it will be with us in ten mins. We order on hungry house so think as it was a busy Friday night they forgot out order. It was delivered by two people. Food was all really hot with free poppdoms. I asked for garlic in my dish which I got and it was amazing. So other than the food taking ages to be delivered the food was amazing. It's around £10 per person x not including started or sides :/ can add up quite expensive just for two people x

Used this place on and off for a year. The curry has always been enjoyable until tonight. I ordered a lamb curry. The meagre meat seemed to have been coated in a watered down mullagatawny soup. I've had one mouthful and thrown the meal away.

being a very fussy eater i have to say this place ticks all my boxes , the food which is real good quality , and having been to goa a few times i have asked for some of my food to be tweaked to my liking ,of which my favourite is chicken tikka dansak all done without a fuss and now coming here on a regular basis , the guys know what and how i like it done always to great quality. sha who is a really friendly welcoming guy in charge of this place , i would definately recommend this place

The restaurant is clean and tidy inside and out.Staff are friendly and willing to help.Food is freshly cooked and piping hot with really good flavours.Menu is reasonably priced and when we walked in on saturday night it was busy but luckily still got a Table to fit us in.Parking is very convenient with a Pay&Display car park just round the corner.I ordered a Diet Coke but it was Flat with literally no air inside, i asked for another one and they were happy to replace it with a fresh one. However saying all this ,,,Service from Staff was Friendly but in my opinion lack of staff.Two Waiters on Saturday Night to Take Orders, Do Drinks, Take Food Out, Take Empty Plates away, Set Tables Etc. As we sat down, the Waiter totally forgot to give us a Menu and left us for 10 mins.When we ordered Three drinks, Only One drinks arrived within 5 mins and then other two drinks took another 10 mins which were only Soft Drinks .These were all minor issues but could have improved.Will surely visit again though.
