Indian Cottage Cheltenham in Cheltenham

I visit here extremely regularly since the week it opened. Since then, I have often visited with family members and friends who have all said how much they've enjoyed it.The friendly welcome that I always receive from Imon, Burhan, and Zia is great. The food is fresh, hot, and tasty. I am slowly working my way through the menu. Staff are always happy to advise and recommend. They can adapt any dish to your taste, and nothing is too much trouble for them. Thank you, Indian Cottage. It ia always a pleasure.

We have been attending Cheltenham racecourse for years and came across this wonderful little place by chance. For us it's the nicest Indian food we have tasted and at a very reasonable price we honestly wouldn't go anywhere else. The staff are always exceptional and I highly recommend a visit

I really dont understand how you managed 4/5 star on your website with this pathetic food and unhygienic atmosphere. . 1.the floors were unclean with food particles on it 2. The whole interior suffered from ventilation issues and foul smell 3. Butter chicken served with cocunut milk in it making it taste bad 4.Egg fried rice not tasty good points 1 .The buttor nan tasted good we finally left the place leaving a large quantity behind

Fantastic takeaway. The flavours were great, the meat was a decent portion, and a good amount of spice.

We've enjoyed 3 takeaways from here. I find the portion size excellent, others skimp on the chicken. Fantastic madras.

One of the worst I have ever had . Chicken Korma a watery mess tasting of only turmeric , truly appalling. Main dish said fiery , was no chilli and very very sweet , inedible . Chef needs firing , truly auful . Will never again use then , shocking .

Took 90 minutes to arrive, had to call twice to chase the order. When it eventually arrived, the order was wrong, the food cold and generally not that nice. Very disappointing. I’ll never use them again.

Nice curry, disappointing there was hardly any meat!

Food was lukewarm but tasty, so needed to be reheated, and delivery was decidedly late, for living nearby and having pre-ordered, this isn't ideal.

very disappointed with my latest order. it was first off 15 mins late which isn't the end of the world but still not great. the butter chicken and Tikka masala mains didn't taste great compared to previous orders. we had a tray of rice missing (which was refunded emediately by just eat). we also had 2 cheese Nan bread ordered which had little to no cheese. however is was the 31st December so I understand it's a busy night but the quality had clearly dropped due to the rush/pressure.

Ready bang on time, carefully packed, good prices and - most importantly - the food was absolutely delicious. Oh, and one of the guys actually held the door open for me as I was leaving - you don’t see manners like that every day! Excellent all round. Vegetable curry can often be an afterthought, but this one was top notch. The dhal was creamy, packed with garlic flavour and not too salty. The Chicken Tikka Sagwalla actually had some spice and depth to the flavour.

Best indian food I've had in the UK. We had the dishes they suggested, chilli garlic mutton, garlic naan and chicken tikka masala, and it was simply amazing.

I've eaten in this restaurant before, and it was lovely. but my takeaway was not so good! a very stodgy Naan and really tough obviously re heated chicken 😞as this was my Christmas day meal i feel a bit disappointed 😞

Food an hour late. And cold When arrived!

Was about 25 minutes late, had ordered it over an hour before the expected delivery time, so was a little disappointed. Also, by that time, the starter had gone cold. Apart from that, the food was really nice and very good portion sizes!

Not great, poor to average, there's better there's also worse. if you fancy a bit of a kick with every item then these guys are spot on, if you want to enjoy the flavours then this isn't really the place after my experience today. not good, not terrible, not really average just rather mediocre.

Always lovely food good sized portions and free delivery, but this time the vegetable samosas was very oily, only potato filling! No peas, carrots or spices, very bland and no flavour. Hopefully this is a one off!

This is the best Indian take away. Can’t beat the quality and quantity of the meat. Highly recommended!

Both prawn orders were just a few prawns swimming in a full container of thin sauce! No vegetables, nothing but sauce. For £15 each, it was not worth the order! The papadums were oily. I’ll never order from here again.

Usually our go to place but tonight 1 HR 15 mins late, rude on the phone 1st time we called (someone polite 2nd time), cold, lamb tasted like stewing beef, not nice at all, not worth the wait, extremely disappointed this evening.

Ordered delivery through restaurants website. After waiting 45 minutes past delivery time phoned restaurant and was advised would be 10 minutes. Food arrived stone cold. Such a shame because food reviews were what made me order from restaurant. Reheated curry but obviously could not reheat rice due to food safety. Naan bread was inedible as was the onion baji. Very disappointing.

Found this resteraunt on google maps, and was not disappointed! Situated on a street surrounded by houses, this is a very popular curry house with the locals to eat in or order take away. Lovely staff, well stocked bar all beers are bottled (no draft) but a good choice of Cobra, Kingfisher and others. The menu is varied and tasted excellent, started off with popadoms with lime pickle, onions, chutney, the Prawn Puree for starters was nice and just spicy enough with a chappatti to mop it up with, the mains was lovely with the pilau rice and a Cobra beer to drink. The nice touch was a complimemtary Bailys after.

Absolutely the most amazing food. Can't praise Indian Cottage highly enough. Been going regularly since they opened in Tennyson Road. Just the loveliest food and such nice people. And tonight was perfection... I'll be back very soon, guys!!!!!!!

So glad this Cheltenham Indian deliver to Gloucester, always quick delivery and the food is great. Other half swears by the Biryani and I've tried a few curries now, all tasty and authentic. Beats many local Indian deliveries well worth a try plus order stamps build up for a decent discount 👏

Food was good however, it was luke warm after being 1 hr late!! I ordered it at 15:30 to be delivered at 17:30. It came at 18:30 and nearly cold! Because of this (twice it’s happened) I won’t be ordering again.

If you wanna taste best biriyani, Indian cottage is the best place to visit. I dine in with my family few days ago, indian cottage is one of the best & their staff is very friendly and gave me and my family an outstanding dinner for a very reasonable price. I highly recommending this place to anyone

Best Indian restaurant in Cheltenham in my views! Me and my wife had a fantastic dinner at Indian Cottage, Cheltenham. The people of the restaurant are very nice and cordial. We will visit again if I had the chance to visit Cheltenham again!
