Imperial Chippy in Leicester

Always excellent food from Imperial Chippy, enormous fish with loads of chips, piping hot & very tasty. Small but perfectly formed salad box & lovely garlic mayo. Will keep coming back!

Cracking fish and chips tonight! Generous portions that left my three kids grinning. The fish was perfectly crispy, and they didn't skimp on the chips. Great value for money. Our new go-to chippy in Leicester. Will definitely be back for more!

Never have I had better food or service at another chippy anywhere else in Leicester or even the UK!! These guys know how to serve fresh food and always with a DECENT bag of chips! I don't even live in Braunstone but will make the extra effort to get my food from these guys. Every single one of them works hard day in and day out and it definitely doesn't go unappriciated or noticed from my family and extended family!! They always remember not to put any onion in my salad aswell which is annoying where ever I go. I always judge a place by it's salad!! Happy New Year 😊

Food was okay shame because we’ve eaten from here before and returned as it was so nice, so hopefully was just a one off, however your delivery driver had no change and walked off without handing my daughter any change granted it was about 20 something pence but it’s not the point they shouldn’t just assume it’s theirs to keep 🥰

We normally use this place but today wasn't a good experience, didn't get what we ordered, kebab meat was really dry and tasted a bit stale, not the usual nice meat. Not sure if I will order again

Coming from the black country, the home of battered chips I was worried about chips from the imperial..no need, they are perfect, crisp, fresh, and oil free....and plentiful, nice guys behind the counter too...they even said I smelled nice, Yes, I definitely recommend

First and last time ordering from here sadly! The fish was absolutely vile. The fish was grey, the batter was flat and soggy. Even my children have thrown theirs away. Disgusting.

I’d never been to this chip shop before and so glad I did. Chips were like old school chips my mum used to make in the chip pan really nice. Fish was massive. Ordered small and could have easily fed 2. Great value, crispy batter, quality fish and chips will definitely go back! Wish I could give 10 stars as 5 is not enough! Yum yum yum 😍

This place has definitely gone down hill. Two thirds of the large fish was batter and definitely not cod or haddock. Will not order again.

Used to go here a lot but their prices are ridiculous now. £15 + for a large kebab which consists of overdone chicken and doner kebab with roasted onion and peppers. I think considering other chippys charge at least 1/3 cheaper and it’s just as nice, if not nicer, Imperial needs to re-evaluate their pricing. It’s a real shame, as I used to enjoy coming here. Not to mention the last time I went there their doner meat and chips barely had any meat.

Used this chippy before and it was excellent but today not so good, chips seemed like they had been in the warmer some time and were not fresh, fish not brilliant either, nearly all batter and very little fish. Disappointed that we travelled 85 miles for my mums 96th birthday and she wanted fish and chips for a treat only to throw most of it away. Not keen on using them again as it’s a lot of money to pay if the quality is not there

We had pre-ordered for 5 of us on (as we thought Saturday's can be very busy with most places. We ordered Large fish Chicken and Mushroom Pie Large curry sauces Large gravy sauce Large jumbo sausage Small tray of donor meat 2 large bags of chips They gave us a free large bottle of pepsi max and everything was nice hot and very fresh. The Big bag of chips is excellent value as it can feed 4 adults. It's a bit further than our local chip shop but worth the trip, not just for the friendly service but great taste and value too.

The food was nice the only fault I have is there was no chilli sauce on the kebab which was ordered

the driver didn't get out of his car to bring the food up to my door. he rang me to fetch it. I thought delivery service meant the driver brought the food to the door 🤦‍♀️. not good when you've paid for delivery

I veered away from my usual, delicious fish and chips and went for Chicken kebab. I was not disappointed! Definitely my fave chip shop ♥

Everything was fine but the Kebab, I ordered a large and it wouldn't feed my young Grandson let alone my Son, if I had ordered the small I think there would have only been 2-3 strands as there wasn't much more in the large. So overall the fish, battered sausage and chips were good, but I would not go there for a kebab again if that's all you get for nearly £10, I was disappointed.

If you order your food to be delivered via an app. Please be aware if you tip the driver, none of it goes to the driver. The restaurant keeps it - doesn't even split it!

Normally lovely food but this time it was not good, chios were hard and dry and fish tasted burnt.

this was really nice. the kebab and salad tastes so fresh and delicious. really enjoyed it. only thing I'd request is option to add pickled onion and gherkins on menu

Excellent service. There was an outage with the Just Eat app connecting to drivers, so they called me and delivered personally. And the food was good.

The driver was rude 20 mins later put the food on the bin and said there your food thanks for the chippy give me free food again and drop of but just eat is a waste of time

The delivery delay was down to just eat not having enough couriers, I find it unbelievable that you took the order when you don’t have the means to deliver on time.

The salad smelt off, chips were well over done and hard! not a good experience would have preferred for it to be late and fresh than early/on time and foul..well over priced for what was ordered large kebab that was basically a small and chips £17 think we got the drag ends..😕

Would have liked the food to be a little hotter but it was ok and I put the fishcake in my airfryer for 5 minutes to warm it up...

We had a delivery of a large, mixed kebab, large chips, curry sauce, salad and a drink. Outstanding - big portions, hot tasty food, quick service and easy to order. Cheap as well, especially for the quality. Will definitely order again 👍🏻

Curry sauce was piping hot at the bottom but cold at the top, so clearly was microwaved without stirring. Gutted, I love Imperial Chippy but they've clearly let themselves go :(
