Imamoglu Turkish Restaurant in Manchester

Everything was great in this restaurant; unfortunately, I think it is closed!

Booked table for 4:30, pulled up and they were not open, lights off gates locked. Tried ringing, phone dead and won't connect. Are you an open business or not. Smh

We went there last night,everything was really really bad ,service was zero,customer service was zero i’ve never seen restaurant like this before in whole UK ,we ordered Lamshank it was served in worst way meat was dry and testeless ,rice was dry as well we paid £50 just for soup and coke i can’t say we ate dinner last night it was unbelievable how much they were bad 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

This is my third time coming to this restaurant with a new friend each time. The food here is absolutely incredible, be it a mixed platter for two or a single dish to try new combinations of flavours. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. The service is impeccable; I have to give props to Efe - one of the sweetest and kindest servers I've met. He made sure we were well looked after and always came with a smile. Absolutely great job! Thank you for such a wonderful time here and I can't wait to be back!

The Adana is the best in North Manchester, service was top, its a nice place to go if you have decided its deffo going to be a Turkish cuisine evening.

I like the quality of this place. The service was amazing

We had wonderful event there but problem was we decided a fix menu and was told to get unlimited food with gusts but at the end we got platters and which was not enough for guest . That was so embarrassing and stressful. Please make sure when you make deal with them ask them to follow till end. We were very disappointed to go there

The daisy wedding hall and the food the workers everything was amazing the owner is number 1 it was very amazing experience, I would recommend to anyone who’s looking for a place, I want to thank the owner very much

Came here for a meal before a show. The food was nice but the amount was short for the price Paid. One of us ordered a shish wrap and there was a lot of hair mixed in with the chicken. To the credit of the guys on the floor, they did start prepping another, but by that time and the hair in the food they was put off from eating anymore. Shame expected a lot better would unfortunately not come again.

The food was good, the service could be better. Overall, I would recommend it.

The kebabs are really delicious and especially the baklava is wonderful. The owner of the place is extremely friendly and cares about the customers. I highly recommend it. The prices are quite affordable.

Very pleasant restaurant and excellent food with reasonable prices.

The secret is ok the food was not worth the money. The prawns say king prawns and they are shrimp. I was very disappointed. Portion was very small for the lamb and shish was small and the best part was the chips staff were nice. See picture for the prawn size

This place does the tastiest kebabs I’ve ever had. The mixed sheesh was delicious. Service was also very good. Atmosphere was interesting, but despite the surroundings I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place

Very bad experience. The place looked nice at the beginning but things got bad later. You can actually tell from the first instance that thr place is not well reputed with too many empty tables on a Saturday night. We ordered the Imamoglu special platter. Food quality was very poor and one of the beef chops was not well cooked and we spotted blood inside. We told one of the waiters and he took that chop to re-cook it and brought it back! I have never seen anything like that before. They did not even apologize. The taps in the men’s toilet were not working. I couldn’t even wash my hands. Terrible experience

Bad experience I’m not sure about the daytime service, but after 9 PM it was quite a disappointment. As someone visiting from London and staying at a distant hotel, I was especially let down by the soup and dessert. The Katmer dessert was extremely poor, far below expectations. The soup tasted stale and seemed to be masked by spices or diluted with water. The mezes were average at best. I also found it strange that they charged extra for additional bread. Overall, I expected a much better experience.

Lovely meal with fresh ingredients and homemade sauces! Recommend the wraps - the portions are big and everything is so tasty!

I was contacted by the the restaurant to be informed that the delivery guy was delivering part of the order. I was then encouraged to place a small order to get the Just Eat to attend the restaurant to deliver the rest of the food. On informing the restaurant that that meant paying a further delivery fee I was ignored. I had to attend the restaurant to collect my food but on getting home the order was completely wrong .. never again !!

I am from Turkiye and I can confirm that they make the most authentic traditional Turkish lentil soup (and a massive portion!). The lamb kebabs were also 10/10, couldn’t fault anything. Baklava was fresh and handmade with perfect amount of sweetness - though it was slightly too dry/slightly overbaked. Portions were generous, money absolutely well spent. The service was quick, staff all lovely. Would definitely come back!

The food here is absolutely amazing. You can actually see the chefs preparing your meal and even the simplest things such as the bread were a 12/10!! However I felt a bit awkward with the staff as the waitresses seemed to be uncomfortable of some sort and we saw one of the chefs pull on a girls arm through the cooking window.. I hope it was just an off day as the food was really great

Very friendly family restaurant. The staff are great. We had mixed platters and there is so much delicious food. Our 1 year old really enjoyed the cheesy mash potato. The desserts are particularly tasty. The homemade Baklava is excellent.

Portion sizes were very small for the price. Paid just under £45 for two meals that fit into a small tin foil container.

Went as a group of friends and ordered a platter of different kinds of meat ! All the meat was very well seasoned and we really enjoyed the food. All the servers were very welcoming and accommodating. They have Greta hospitality, they didn’t get frustrated with us when we changed our order a few times and took a long time to decide what we wanted to drink. I loved the strawberry mojito mock tail, it was very sweet. The starters were amazing, we mixed and matched and got bread with delicious sauces (tzatziki, eggplant, sausage, falafel and prawns). Would 100% recommend for friends and family, young and old !

I went to it yesterday around 9pm, “maybe” because it was nearly empty at that time, it was one of the greatest services I experienced, great food and place too.

We went for a family meal today and to celebrate a birthday for my daughter. The service was spot on and the food was delicious. Massive portions so we had to pack some to take home. Desserts were amazing, service was exceptionally fantastic. Everyone was very attentive to our needs. We will definitely be coming back again, especially for the katmar as it's my favourite. Went with my partner Today and couldn't decide what to have so shared a hot meze platter for 2 and cold meze platter for 2. Every element was delicious and the hot sauce provided as an optional drizzle was really flavourful as well as nicely hot (we like strong ones) Service was spot on, much quicker than expected and the food beautifully presented. Mint tea, Turkish tea, and black coffee were all lovely too. Happy enough to add a 25% tip.

Very warm welcome from the staff, they were attentitive and the service was superb. The menu is simple, yet traditional and authentic. The kitchen area is amazing, you can watch whilst the chef prepares your food. The decor and atmosphere within the dining area itself is beautiful with plenty of seating available. Now for the food, fresh, full of flavour. The platters are a brilliant choice if you're indecisive as you get a variety of kebabs, rice and salad. The wraps were fresh and super tasteful. The pricing is beyond reasonable for the amount of food you get. Overall a great experience and we highly recommend. One of the most beautiful kitchens I've seen in the UK. I am actually so disappointed at the quality of food served and was shocked after reading such good reviews. I went here for my husband’s birthday dinner, the food was not cooked through, kebabs were raw from inside. I had to be extra careful as I was expecting, told one of the waiters and he just took the plate with one kebab and brought a cooked one back :/ instead of taking all of them. Kebabs lacked so much flavour. Only thing good was mixed meze salad. Bread quantity served was not enough for 3 people. For the amount of money we paid, we expected so much more.

Food was excellent and the service was good. Quite expensive, but the portions were very big. Would definitely go again and recommend to anyone who likes Turkish food.

They accommodated us as a large group at very short notice and the staff were so attentive throughout the meal. They really enjoyed the food , as it is very good made - the kitchen is open and very cleaned ( which is rare for UK), the staff including the kitchen are very nice and high professionals. The food was very good - thank you for best experience. You have the best restaurant in the city for sure.

Went in a group of 7 - with two young children (age 9 and 6). The restaurant had a vast capacity even though it was empty on a Saturday evening at 9pm - which was a real shame. We made a late booking and was surprised they could host us. Had the sharing platter for 4 with another traditional Turkish choice for our son and two choices from the kids menu for the younger ones. The platter was excellent and plentiful, with so much food to appeal for the four grown-ups. The kids burgers were great and a good portion size. The staff were pleasant and attentive, and the main owner couldn’t do enough for us and was very accommodating. They even served up lovely little cake for our daughter whose birthday it was on the day we went. Had the main restaurant area been busy, this place would have been buzzing with authentic Turkish aromas that it’s excellent chefs could easily serve up if required. The dining area is a mix of modern, refined while unmistakably Turkish at heart and open and comfortable. I hope Imamoglu does well, it really is a lovely place with excellent food, that adds something different to the Manchester food scene - and is way better than it Cheetham Hill surroundings would suggest.

Platter and chicken wings was good. Drinks not that great and bit overpriced. Dessert not that great. They even charge for extra sauce. Main dishes and starters were really good but disappointing by desserts and drinks.

The food was amazing. We had the Imamoglu Special Platter for 2, and it was plentiful. All of the grilled meats were beautifully cooked to perfection. The fresh bread that accompanied the platter was sublime. There is a good range of mocktails and desserts. We went for the katmer and it was crisp and delicious. The service team was great as they were very helpful. There were a couple of birthday parties and the atmosphere rocked because all of the staff joined in the celebrations. Top food in a great venue. Will definitely be going again.
